<v Speaker 1>Another show, Tonight that went into a thirty five minute
<v Speaker 1>overrun less than two weeks out from All In, My God.
<v Speaker 1>We had a pair of trios matches on this show.
<v Speaker 1>One opened the show, one closed the show. Both of
<v Speaker 1>them had the don Kallis family. So if you're a
<v Speaker 1>fan of the don Kallis family, boy, I mean, if
<v Speaker 1>you're a fan of the don Kallis family, they're all
<v Speaker 1>over the show every week. But you got them at
<v Speaker 1>the beginning, you got them at the end. The big
<v Speaker 1>angle of the end though the matches don't even matter.
<v Speaker 1>The two trios matches we had tonight don't mean shit.
<v Speaker 1>The only important thing that happened here at the end
<v Speaker 1>it came after the match and it involved Kenny Omega
<v Speaker 1>and Will Osprey, who had a face to face sit
<v Speaker 1>down interview earlier in the show conducted by Renee that
<v Speaker 1>I actually thought was very good, although that was the
<v Speaker 1>high point of the show, strongest interaction that these two
<v Speaker 1>have had in all the weeks coming out of Redemption,
<v Speaker 1>in the build up here to All In. The one
<v Speaker 1>thing that they really solidified here at the end of
<v Speaker 1>the show was heel Kenny Omega, So they were kind
<v Speaker 1>of teasing it the way that Omega's been acting of late,
<v Speaker 1>but they really made it very clear who the babyface
<v Speaker 1>is supposed to be here and who the heel is
<v Speaker 1>supposed to be going into Wembley Stadium. It ended with
<v Speaker 1>Kenny Omega taking a cheap shot at Will as he
<v Speaker 1>was being held by a couple of security guards and
<v Speaker 1>then dumping him through a table outside the ring with
<v Speaker 1>a one winged angel, and then Kenny got the crazy
<v Speaker 1>eyes as he was sitting there, and that's how they
<v Speaker 1>closed the show. So I guess the idea, at least
<v Speaker 1>in part, is that the championship is as it did
<v Speaker 1>many years ago, once again corrupting this man. This is
<v Speaker 1>a different kind of Kenny Omega that we're not used
<v Speaker 1>to seeing. He's the champion now, he thinks his shit,
<v Speaker 1>don't stink. He's the guy Will Osprey, He's not shit.
<v Speaker 1>That's basically the gist of it here going into this show,
<v Speaker 1>and so it was important, I guess, to kind of
<v Speaker 1>drive that point home. But also the other thing they
<v Speaker 1>did here because that trios match had Kenny Omega and
<v Speaker 1>the young Bucks, it was the elite taking on members
<v Speaker 1>of the Kallus family. And so when the match was over,
<v Speaker 1>more members of the Kallus family came out and we
<v Speaker 1>had this big, wild brawl. Adam Copeland came out, Christian
<v Speaker 1>Cage came out, and we saw an errant shot, an
<v Speaker 1>errant superkick to Christian. This was important because, honestly, of
<v Speaker 1>all the key matches that have been built up for
<v Speaker 1>this pay per view, which again is only about ten
<v Speaker 1>or eleven days away now, this one seems to kind
<v Speaker 1>of be falling under the radar, and I feel like
<v Speaker 1>this match should be. It should feel like a much
<v Speaker 1>bigger deal than it is first ever, you know, edging
<v Speaker 1>Christian against the Young Bucks. It's kind of been lost
<v Speaker 1>in all the noise I think of the Omega Osprey
<v Speaker 1>stuff and Willow and Mercedes and the Continental Cup stuff.
<v Speaker 1>So it was important, I think, to get those guys
<v Speaker 1>out there, even if it was just a quick run
<v Speaker 1>in there at the end of the show. But that's
<v Speaker 1>how they went off the air. And we also, I said,
<v Speaker 1>we had a pair of interviews. It wasn't just Kenny
<v Speaker 1>and will who had their sit down. We had a
<v Speaker 1>split screen interview earlier in the show between Mercedes Monette,
<v Speaker 1>Will o'nightingale. They're having their Women's World Championship match at all.
<v Speaker 1>In again, I enjoyed that segment two so again that
<v Speaker 1>one wasn't really face to face per se, but those
<v Speaker 1>two segments I thought were very effective in terms of
<v Speaker 1>the two world title matches that are coming up on
<v Speaker 1>the pay per view. We also had a pair of
<v Speaker 1>quarterfinal matches in the Continental Cup, one of which surprised
<v Speaker 1>the fuck out of me when they first announced it
<v Speaker 1>in their little YouTube special on Monday night, because I
<v Speaker 1>was thinking, this has got to be the final. This
<v Speaker 1>is a tailor made to be the final of the
<v Speaker 1>tournament here between John Moxley and Jay White, and then
<v Speaker 1>they announced it for tonight, and I was really hoping
<v Speaker 1>that we would get the first real upset of this
<v Speaker 1>tournament and that Jay White would pull it out against Moxley,
<v Speaker 1>something that nobody else has been able to do because
<v Speaker 1>Moxley has basically been untouchable this entire year. Beat Moxley,
<v Speaker 1>which would make him I guess, would make him the champion.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, effectively is that title on the line every
<v Speaker 1>single match he has in this tournament? I guess it is.
<v Speaker 1>And John Moxley, they could always have him enter the
<v Speaker 1>gauntlet and he could win the contract, because we all
<v Speaker 1>know coming out of this pay per view, whether it's
<v Speaker 1>it all out or sometime after that, we know what
<v Speaker 1>the direction is. The direction has got to be Osprey
<v Speaker 1>and Moxley for the championship again. Osprey still has to
<v Speaker 1>get that win back from earlier in the year, so
<v Speaker 1>I was hoping maybe they would go in that direction.
<v Speaker 1>They went the predictable route, another John Moxley win, surprise, surprise,
<v Speaker 1>although they had a very good match. The other match
<v Speaker 1>was Nigel McGinnis who suffered an injury and we'll get
<v Speaker 1>into exactly what happened there, but he suffered an injury
<v Speaker 1>in his match on Collision. He had a match in
<v Speaker 1>the tournament here tonight against hetch Sero and Nigel is
<v Speaker 1>also moving on to the semi final round. Also on
<v Speaker 1>the show, Kevin Knight, he blew up Darby Allen. He
<v Speaker 1>exploded him. Good. How many people did we see Darby
<v Speaker 1>Allen blow up with various explosive devices give him a
<v Speaker 1>little taste of his own medicine tonight. So now I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if the false count anywhere match is going
<v Speaker 1>to be happening or not. Gee, I guess we'll have
<v Speaker 1>to wait until next week and find out. But Indestructible Darby,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure we'll find a way to make it to Wembley.
<v Speaker 1>And we had a TVs Championship four way match, Maya
<v Speaker 1>World putting her title on the line against Chris stat Lander,
<v Speaker 1>Hikarushida and Persephone. So those were the key points on
<v Speaker 1>the show tonight. There was a lot going on. They
<v Speaker 1>went way over time. I'm not going to We're going
<v Speaker 1>to try to zip through this as economically as we can.
<v Speaker 1>This is your aw Dynamite review. It is Wednesday night.
<v Speaker 1>It is August nineteenth, twenty twenty six. For those of
<v Speaker 1>you who are with me, I thank you. I know
<v Speaker 1>that Wednesdays is usually the softer night when it comes
<v Speaker 1>to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but we do the best
<v Speaker 1>we can with that, like can subscribe, going to bring
<v Speaker 1>the faithful wheel up here. Oh, by the way, I
<v Speaker 1>wanted to say thank you. Want to give a shout
<v Speaker 1>out to Noah who may be with us in the chat.
<v Speaker 1>I believe Noah was at the not Noah the mark
<v Speaker 1>if you know you know, but Noah was in the
<v Speaker 1>crowd tonight. He was at the show, and he was
<v Speaker 1>able to get a sound off sign. He brought a
<v Speaker 1>sound off sign with him and he got it on
<v Speaker 1>camera in the closing moments of the show, actually off
<v Speaker 1>in the background behind Kenny Omega there. So shout out
<v Speaker 1>to Noah for representing the podcast. Brother, I appreciate that
<v Speaker 1>very much. It's been this bad boy here. So we
<v Speaker 1>can get into this. Shout out to Sarah Sarah bonus
<v Speaker 1>goal only. Okay, well that means no be the booker tonight.
<v Speaker 1>That's what that means. But you already knew that. Let's
<v Speaker 1>get into this here. First of two trios matches that
<v Speaker 1>we had, we had, of course the aforementioned Don Kallis family.
<v Speaker 1>In this case it was Brian Cage, Lance Archer and
<v Speaker 1>Rocky Romero. He always successful Lance Archer at Rocky Romero
<v Speaker 1>taking on the United Empire. So it was will ospray
<v Speaker 1>Hanare and Francesco Akira, who we never see on Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>maybe one time. I think they had a match on
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite here this year. So I saw this match. I'm like, eh,
<v Speaker 1>very blah. Match broke down at the end Osprey he
<v Speaker 1>spiked Cage with a poison Rona. Romero tried to slice bread.
<v Speaker 1>He ended up eating a double team cutter though from
<v Speaker 1>Osprey and Akira Akira and Hanare. They hit stereo dives
<v Speaker 1>outside the ring and that left Rocky Romero all by
<v Speaker 1>his lonesome in the ring to eat a hidden blade
<v Speaker 1>that gave the win to Team Osprey. Decent opener. You know,
<v Speaker 1>we got some good action here, but the whole point
<v Speaker 1>was just to put a spotlight on the challenger at
<v Speaker 1>all In, with the champion getting his own trios match.
<v Speaker 1>Later on in the show, Rene was backstage with Kazuchka
<v Speaker 1>Okada trying to get his on the International title. Three
<v Speaker 1>way coming up at all In with himself, Kyle Fletcher,
<v Speaker 1>and Kenoski Takeshta. Okata said nothing is more important than family,
<v Speaker 1>unlike Takeshta, who left the family because he's selfish. That's right,
<v Speaker 1>He's a selfish prick. So he said the Fletcher won't
<v Speaker 1>make the same mistake that Takeshta did. He would be
<v Speaker 1>happy for Kyle to retain the International title because that
<v Speaker 1>would mean the title would remain in the family, but
<v Speaker 1>if he wins, If he wins, Okata wins, he expects
<v Speaker 1>Kyle to be happy for him and to raise his
<v Speaker 1>hand in the middle of the ring. So after this
<v Speaker 1>we cut to the arena alive and Tony Schavanni is
<v Speaker 1>in the ring to introduce the International Champion, the Protos
<v Speaker 1>star Kyle Fletcher, who made his way out to the
<v Speaker 1>ring all by himself. Shockingly, we did not have any
<v Speaker 1>other members of the Kallis family. I guess they were
<v Speaker 1>getting ready for their second trios match later in the night.
<v Speaker 1>Shavanni asked him about the possibility of raising Ocata's hand
<v Speaker 1>at all in, and Fletcher said, look, he was in
<v Speaker 1>the middle of the greatest International championionship run of all
<v Speaker 1>time and he sees no reason that it needs to
<v Speaker 1>end at all in. He owes Don Kallis a lot.
<v Speaker 1>He trusts Don Kallas and this is his plan, and
<v Speaker 1>Fletcher was willing to follow that plan, but he told
<v Speaker 1>Okada he needs to know his role and then he
<v Speaker 1>popped the people's elbow after this, he needs to know
<v Speaker 1>his role in this entire thing, which is to be
<v Speaker 1>his family and help him retain his championship. So then
<v Speaker 1>he turned to Takeshta and he said that he hated
<v Speaker 1>his guts and he mocked him for losing the g
<v Speaker 1>one climax. Yeah, he got bounced. Takeshta won the g
<v Speaker 1>One last year, but he got bounced. He didn't even
<v Speaker 1>make it to the finals this year. I did. I
<v Speaker 1>know we're taking a little sidebar here, but I did
<v Speaker 1>see the finals of the G One. I had when
<v Speaker 1>I did the SoundOff on Sunday. I hadn't had a
<v Speaker 1>chance to watch the entire match yet. But with Oiwa
<v Speaker 1>and Ui Mura, those of you who follow New Japan
<v Speaker 1>and know who they are, they had a fucking awesome
<v Speaker 1>match in the finals, a match that ended, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>with a headlock, which I know, if you're just hearing
<v Speaker 1>that like that sounds completely preposterous, but they made it work.
<v Speaker 1>So good on them. That's one of the best matches
<v Speaker 1>I've seen all year. But yes, Takesha, he failed in
<v Speaker 1>the G One and that brought out Ta Keshta. This
<v Speaker 1>is the first time we've seen him here on the
<v Speaker 1>show since July, right, it's been many weeks back on
<v Speaker 1>American Soil. He came to the ring, a brawl ensued
<v Speaker 1>between these two men. Fletcher hit a half and half,
<v Speaker 1>Takesha came right back with the Blue Thunderbomb and then
<v Speaker 1>a poison RNA, and then as Fletcher was, it was
<v Speaker 1>like the Mortal Kombat thing where somebody is somebody is
<v Speaker 1>about to take a fatality, right, and they're like going
<v Speaker 1>like this right. That was him basically on his knees.
<v Speaker 1>He was waiting for the fatality, and the fatality was
<v Speaker 1>the power drive knee. He took a raging fire and
<v Speaker 1>then Okada never came out to help. Okada never showed
<v Speaker 1>his face here. He left Kyle out there to die.
<v Speaker 1>Ex Caliber at this point at the end of this
<v Speaker 1>and by the way, that that is one of the
<v Speaker 1>matches I am very much looking forward to on that show.
<v Speaker 1>That match is gonna be fucking awesome. The match that
<v Speaker 1>we had a double or nothing between Okada and Takesha
<v Speaker 1>is one of my number one favorite matches of the year. Fletcher.
<v Speaker 1>He's had a lot of great matches himself this year,
<v Speaker 1>including one just a few weeks ago at Speedball. So
<v Speaker 1>you put all three of them in the ring together,
<v Speaker 1>that's gonna be a lot of fun. Now, ex Caliber,
<v Speaker 1>he was trying to run down he was attempting to
<v Speaker 1>run down all of the remaining matches here that were
<v Speaker 1>on this show, but he sounded like a fucking cyborg
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna do my my best. Let me see if
<v Speaker 1>I could do my best. Question another. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what was going on. I saw people who were watching
<v Speaker 1>on HBO Max like I was, people who were not watching.
<v Speaker 1>They were watching on the TBS. I think it was
<v Speaker 1>just universal. I saw multiple complaints about the audio here,
<v Speaker 1>so he sounded like a cyborg. They went to commercial.
<v Speaker 1>When they came back, we were taken to an earlier
<v Speaker 1>sit down interview at a table in a darkened room,
<v Speaker 1>Rene Piquette with the two men in the main event
<v Speaker 1>at Wembley Stadium, Kenny Omega and will Ospray. And at
<v Speaker 1>this point we had no audio at all, and I said,
<v Speaker 1>oh boy, they better fix this shit, because this is
<v Speaker 1>I was looking forward to this. Thankfully. Before she was
<v Speaker 1>done speaking and before Osprey started speaking, the audio was restored.
<v Speaker 1>Osprey said he looked up to Omega. Omega said that
<v Speaker 1>he likes to keep his finger on the pulse, understanding
<v Speaker 1>who the flavors of the month are, the internet darlings.
<v Speaker 1>So he was also very excited but not blown away
<v Speaker 1>by Osprey. The first time he saw he could see
<v Speaker 1>the potential. It's a little backhanded compliment there from Omega, I, suh,
<v Speaker 1>I should do the robo voice for the whole show,
<v Speaker 1>and I don't think people would like that very much. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I think that would get old after about I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>eight seconds. Maybe Cyborg Solo. We may dust off Cyborg
<v Speaker 1>Solo every now and then. I'm not opposed to bringing
<v Speaker 1>him outorgs Well, that's let's the voice, stupid. You see
<v Speaker 1>what I did, you guys, it's something what you want
<v Speaker 1>that sounds positively awful. So let's not do that again.
<v Speaker 1>So Renee, she wants to know when, uh, when Kenny
<v Speaker 1>saw Will in a different light? Right? Because Will Will
<v Speaker 1>did not impress him at first, So when did he
<v Speaker 1>first start to impress Kenny Omega? Kenny says, it goes
<v Speaker 1>back to Wrestle Kingdom seventeen. He came back to see
<v Speaker 1>if Osprey could fill his shoes. Unfortunately, Osprey was not
<v Speaker 1>able to prove to him that he could put New
<v Speaker 1>Japan on his back. He said New Japan needed to
<v Speaker 1>sell tickets and Osprey's name alone wasn't gonna do that.
<v Speaker 1>His name does, so, Osprey says, with all due respect,
<v Speaker 1>Kenny walked into a very plush situation. Osprey had it
<v Speaker 1>very different. Kenny built his name off the backs of
<v Speaker 1>people like Okada in Tanahashi, and he she Osprey had
<v Speaker 1>to do it the hard way. Kenny made three hour trips.
<v Speaker 1>He had to make fifteen hour flights. He was put
<v Speaker 1>up in a hotel no bigger than a broom closet.
<v Speaker 1>Omega was fine playing to the aw Marx around Ringsay
<v Speaker 1>while half the New Japan roster was starving during COVID,
<v Speaker 1>So don't give him that attendance bullshit, Omega said. Osprey
<v Speaker 1>makes it sound like his situation was so unique. But
<v Speaker 1>if New Japan actually had fans in the would they
<v Speaker 1>have been that loud for Osprey. Rene mentions Osprey joining
<v Speaker 1>the don Kallis family, and Omega said callous promised him
<v Speaker 1>gold success, AW gold, TNA gold, IWGP gold until he
<v Speaker 1>finally saw what it was worth. It was a cautionary
<v Speaker 1>tale for guys like Osprey who didn't have to make
<v Speaker 1>the same mistakes that Omega did. But Osprey couldn't help himself.
<v Speaker 1>Osprey said that Omega embarrassed him. He came into New Japan.
<v Speaker 1>He was tearing apart his life in front of so
<v Speaker 1>many people that he loved, and he still has the
<v Speaker 1>scars on his head to show for it. Omega asked,
<v Speaker 1>how is this different from when Osprey came into his home,
<v Speaker 1>his home country, and Osprey said Omega deserved it. Omega
<v Speaker 1>didn't use Don Callus in the Tokyo Dome, but Osprey
<v Speaker 1>used Callous in their forbidden doormatch, and Osprey acknowledges that,
<v Speaker 1>and he says that it still keeps him up at night.
<v Speaker 1>Everybody online was saying the same thing. Yeah, but you
<v Speaker 1>didn't do it by yourself. You needed Don Callis to
<v Speaker 1>do it. So it still gnaws away at him. That
<v Speaker 1>win three years ago to him, it meant nothing. Omegas
<v Speaker 1>said that wind was tainted, but hearing will say that
<v Speaker 1>he couldn't do it alone. That's music to his ears.
<v Speaker 1>As far as Osprey goes, Omega says, the way he
<v Speaker 1>looks at it, he actually beat him twice. This isn't
<v Speaker 1>even a rubber match. He already has two wins over him.
<v Speaker 1>So then Renee brings up Kenny's diverticulitis, because we have
<v Speaker 1>to have at least one mention of the diverticulitis every
<v Speaker 1>single week. And I like the fact that even Omega
<v Speaker 1>himself here in this promo was talking about how fucking
<v Speaker 1>sick he is of hearing about this. He said, he's
<v Speaker 1>tired of hearing ex Caliber talk about it, and Taz
<v Speaker 1>talk about it, and Tony Schavani talk about it. Let's
<v Speaker 1>talk about you. Will you have three discs repaired in
<v Speaker 1>your neck right? Omega says that he's in the best
<v Speaker 1>shape of his life right now, but he doesn't know
<v Speaker 1>about Will. He tells Omega that he's come back strong
<v Speaker 1>from his neck problems. Omega doesn't see it that way.
<v Speaker 1>Osprey says, no Englishman has ever won the world title
<v Speaker 1>in England. It's got a lot of pressure on his
<v Speaker 1>shoulders to do just that at all. In he doesn't
<v Speaker 1>need callous, he doesn't need a screwdriver. He will do
<v Speaker 1>things the right way when he beats Kenny. And Omega said,
<v Speaker 1>the last time Osprey tried to do it the right way,
<v Speaker 1>he failed, and this time he'll fail again in his
<v Speaker 1>home country. The only difference is this time he'll have
<v Speaker 1>his mother there. And Osprey stood up. At this point,
<v Speaker 1>he was ready to just make a move towards Omega.
<v Speaker 1>That angered him. He told him, don't you mention my mother?
<v Speaker 1>Security off camera kind of stepped in. They were ready
<v Speaker 1>to pounce in case things broke down here. Omega said
<v Speaker 1>he's sure that Will's mom will be proud of him
<v Speaker 1>whether he wins or loses, but his young son might
<v Speaker 1>need a new hero. After Kenny beats him again and
<v Speaker 1>they had a hold back, Will Kenny walked off. I
<v Speaker 1>thought this was excellent. I thought this was only the
<v Speaker 1>best interaction these two have had. They've had a couple
<v Speaker 1>of other ones prior to this. I thought Kenny was
<v Speaker 1>really good here. I thought Will was really good here.
<v Speaker 1>I think Osbury for the most part, has been really
<v Speaker 1>good in all of these but this, again, this was
<v Speaker 1>the sign here early in the show that Omega was
<v Speaker 1>just acting like a dick. You know, he's just he's
<v Speaker 1>sitting there. He's all full of himself. I mean, as
<v Speaker 1>he should be. He's Kenny fucking Omega, but like he's
<v Speaker 1>sitting there enjoying the smell of his own farts and
<v Speaker 1>he's just healing on Osbury. Yeah, you know, you didn't
<v Speaker 1>really impress me at first, and then you beat me,
<v Speaker 1>but you really didn't because you needed help and I
<v Speaker 1>don't think you can get the job done. So he
<v Speaker 1>was just acting very like very snarky and just all
<v Speaker 1>full of himself here, Osprey. He just came off as
<v Speaker 1>desperate to prove that he can pull the trigger and
<v Speaker 1>he can get the job done by himself, because it
<v Speaker 1>eats him up inside that match. They had a forbidden
<v Speaker 1>door three years ago that he did have help, and
<v Speaker 1>he does have people who say, well, yeah, you beat him,
<v Speaker 1>but you didn't really beat him, and so I guess
<v Speaker 1>that's part of his mission here, is to kind of
<v Speaker 1>wipe that slate clean and go in there and show
<v Speaker 1>that he can do it all by himself. Pretty straightforward stuff,
<v Speaker 1>pretty simple to understand, and I thought this was very effective.
<v Speaker 1>I actually was sitting here watching this and I was
<v Speaker 1>staying to myself, I would have closed the show with
<v Speaker 1>this now, But then I said, well, let's wait and
<v Speaker 1>see what happens here. They have this other trios match, right,
<v Speaker 1>They're book ending the shows with the two trios matches,
<v Speaker 1>so let's see what they have. They must have some
<v Speaker 1>big angle or something planned for the end of the show.
<v Speaker 1>That's why it was formatted this way, and sure enough,
<v Speaker 1>that ended up being the case. We had the TVs
<v Speaker 1>Championship four way match. Maya World putting her title on
<v Speaker 1>the line against Chris Statlander, Hikarushida and the CML Women's
<v Speaker 1>world champion Persephone. This was not a good night. This
<v Speaker 1>was not a good night to be a world champion
<v Speaker 1>in CML male or female. They didn't even get ten
<v Speaker 1>minutes for this. It kind of reminded me of the
<v Speaker 1>four way that opened Night too, of SummerSlam only a
<v Speaker 1>few weeks ago. You have four of the best wrestlers
<v Speaker 1>the world right now today in that match, four couldn't
<v Speaker 1>even get ten minutes. Now, I'm not going to say
<v Speaker 1>these are four of the best in the world right now,
<v Speaker 1>although I do. I am a big fan of Statlanders,
<v Speaker 1>and I think Persephone is great, but to not even
<v Speaker 1>get ten minutes for a four way match is kind
<v Speaker 1>of shitty. So they crammed a lot in here Maya
<v Speaker 1>and Statlander. They came to blows late in the match.
<v Speaker 1>Sheida interrupted that with a missile dropkick, so then Persephone
<v Speaker 1>caught Statlander with a spear that left Shida and Persephone
<v Speaker 1>the two heels to go at it. Persephone was looking
<v Speaker 1>for a razor's edge. Statlander, they'll save Sheita, but only briefly,
<v Speaker 1>and then power bombed her Statlander blasted Persephone with a
<v Speaker 1>discus Laryert into a high stack. Maya flew in from
<v Speaker 1>off camera with a swanton off the top. She tried
<v Speaker 1>her bridging fallaway slam finish. Statlander, though countered out. She
<v Speaker 1>was looking for Wednesday Night Fever. She got rolled up
<v Speaker 1>by Maya for the flash pinned to retain the TBS title.
<v Speaker 1>I thought this was good stuff here from these four.
<v Speaker 1>Maya keeps on rolling into Wembley. Is the champion. Good
<v Speaker 1>for her. No clue what they're going to do with
<v Speaker 1>her on that show. There was certainly no There was
<v Speaker 1>no overt hint. I mean, I guess if you are
<v Speaker 1>of the belief as I am that Chris Statlander, I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to say that she's going to go heal.
<v Speaker 1>But when this was over, she took the pin and
<v Speaker 1>they had a close up of her face. She was
<v Speaker 1>not happy. So that tells me that maybe she's going
<v Speaker 1>to pop up again at some point in this next
<v Speaker 1>week or so, and maybe we end up getting a
<v Speaker 1>singles match, Maybe we end up getting a one on
<v Speaker 1>one match at the pay per view with her and Maya.
<v Speaker 1>If you're gonna do that, and I would love to
<v Speaker 1>see it if you're gonna do that, though, Statlander has
<v Speaker 1>to win. I don't want to see her just keep
<v Speaker 1>eating l's here on this show. She took the loss
<v Speaker 1>here in this match. If you're going to run back
<v Speaker 1>something with her and Maya, then she's got to win.
<v Speaker 1>You got to give her something. But that was the
<v Speaker 1>only potential hint of their being an opponent for her,
<v Speaker 1>you know, for the TBS title at all. In otherwise,
<v Speaker 1>they didn't tease anything. They didn't hint at anything. I
<v Speaker 1>was thinking, Okay, you set this four way match up
<v Speaker 1>just to have her go in there and beat the
<v Speaker 1>other three. Somebody must be showing up when the match
<v Speaker 1>is over or debuting or something, and that might set
<v Speaker 1>a title match up. Nope, Nope, she just won and
<v Speaker 1>she celebrated her victory. Instead, what they did was a
<v Speaker 1>few segments later, we'll skip ahead here. There was a
<v Speaker 1>segment in the back with Renee and Maya where she
<v Speaker 1>was interrupted by Willow Nightingale, who reminded Maya, you know,
<v Speaker 1>about a month ago, I promise you that if I
<v Speaker 1>beat Tecla at Redemption. Holy fuck, I just realized, what
<v Speaker 1>is Techla doing at all? In where the hell is Tecla.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I felt a little bad for her that
<v Speaker 1>she was this close to walking into Wembley as the
<v Speaker 1>champion and they took it away from her, which I
<v Speaker 1>was okay with because I think they made the right
<v Speaker 1>choice in going with Willow. But to not have something
<v Speaker 1>set up for her at all that all in show
<v Speaker 1>would be terrible because she's done some great work this
<v Speaker 1>year and now we have one Dynamite left before we
<v Speaker 1>even get there. That's not enough time to set up
<v Speaker 1>anything major. But I mean, I hope she can at
<v Speaker 1>least get a fucking pre show match or something. I
<v Speaker 1>completely forgot about her ever since she lost the title.
<v Speaker 1>It's like at a side out of mind. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>holy crap, I forgot all about Tecla. But she mentioned
<v Speaker 1>here that she did tell Maya that if she beat
<v Speaker 1>Tecla at Redemption, who won the championship back, that she
<v Speaker 1>would give Maya the first shot. So she's a woman
<v Speaker 1>of her word. She wants to give her the shot
<v Speaker 1>this Saturday on Collision, and Maya was more than happy
<v Speaker 1>to accept that, and so that match will take place
<v Speaker 1>on Saturday. So maybe we'll find out then who the
<v Speaker 1>next challenger is going to be Obviously she's not beating
<v Speaker 1>Willow Willau. Sorry, but when that match is over, who knows,
<v Speaker 1>maybe Statlander shows up. Maybe that's where stat Lander shows up.
<v Speaker 1>She's not happy about the way things ended tonight. She
<v Speaker 1>wants another crack app But I say give it to her.
<v Speaker 1>I can't think of anybody else really who would make
<v Speaker 1>sense in that spot here, with practically no time left
<v Speaker 1>to build to a TBS title match. After this, we
<v Speaker 1>had our first of two quarterfinal round matches in the
<v Speaker 1>Continental Cup. The reigning champion, the unbeatable one, John Moxley
<v Speaker 1>one on one would switch blade Jay White, who just
<v Speaker 1>picked up a win, actually they both did last week.
<v Speaker 1>Moxley beat Jack Perry. Jay White picked up a win
<v Speaker 1>over David Finley. So that led to this. When I
<v Speaker 1>saw that this was taking place tonight and not taking
<v Speaker 1>place in the finals, I was disappointed because I kind
<v Speaker 1>of knew, okay, I knew how this was probably gonna go.
<v Speaker 1>I laid out this whole scenario about how, well, maybe
<v Speaker 1>you know he'll get the big upset win, and then
<v Speaker 1>you could always put Moxley in the gauntlet, because you're
<v Speaker 1>not gonna leave him off the pay per view. But
<v Speaker 1>like shake things up a little bit. This tournament hasn't
<v Speaker 1>really had any upsets so far. Maybe they would give
<v Speaker 1>it to us tonight. Actually, when I saw they weren't
<v Speaker 1>main eventing with this, that's what I knew. If this
<v Speaker 1>was in the main event, then I would have believed
<v Speaker 1>until the very end, until the bitter end, that Jay
<v Speaker 1>White might have had a shot. Once I sounded, or
<v Speaker 1>once I saw rather that this was happening in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the show, I lost much of that hope.
<v Speaker 1>They spilled outside after a break, with Moxley diving out
<v Speaker 1>onto White on the floor. White was able to avoid
<v Speaker 1>Moxley diving off the top and he landed back to
<v Speaker 1>back half Nelson's soup plexes. So they put Moxley on
<v Speaker 1>the top turn buckle hit a superplex, and when he did,
<v Speaker 1>he winced from the pain. Because ex Caliber was telling
<v Speaker 1>the story on commentary about the injured neck right in
<v Speaker 1>the match with David Finley last week, he was working
<v Speaker 1>over the bad neck, which goes all the way back
<v Speaker 1>to that fucking botch dominator spot. In the double chain
<v Speaker 1>match of Redemption, Moxley went for a sleeper hole, White
<v Speaker 1>reversed into a pin though for a close near fall.
<v Speaker 1>White hit a blade runner. Mock though, with presence of mind,
<v Speaker 1>rolls out to the floor, so White brought Moxley back inside.
<v Speaker 1>Max though rolled him into a choke. White was able
<v Speaker 1>to get to his feet. Moxley hit a death rider
<v Speaker 1>though great near fall. They got a great near fall
<v Speaker 1>out of that. Moxley went right back to the choke though,
<v Speaker 1>and there was a brief struggle. It didn't go very
<v Speaker 1>long and he went ninety nine and the referee call
<v Speaker 1>for the stoppage, so we got the predictable finish John Moxley.
<v Speaker 1>He rolls on into the semi finals here of this tournament.
<v Speaker 1>Thanks for coming, Jay White. I will say this, since
<v Speaker 1>Jay White came back to the company, this was the
<v Speaker 1>best match that he has had, whether it be TV.
<v Speaker 1>The redemption match was fucking terrible. I hated that chain match,
<v Speaker 1>but even some of the matches he had on TV,
<v Speaker 1>the match with David Finley last week was probably the
<v Speaker 1>best of the bunch. This was better than that. So
<v Speaker 1>it was nice to see him go in there, and
<v Speaker 1>there were some really dramatic near falls, and this was
<v Speaker 1>very good stuff. I can't hate on the match itself.
<v Speaker 1>I'll tell you what I'm really hoping this isn't though
<v Speaker 1>I really hope, you know, them bouncing Jane wide out,
<v Speaker 1>Moxley's moving on. I really hope that the idea here
<v Speaker 1>is not to just set up Nigel to go to
<v Speaker 1>the finals and tell that story or even win. I
<v Speaker 1>don't want to see that if that's the entire point
<v Speaker 1>of all this. To me, this is this is a
<v Speaker 1>waste and I really just because they're in London, or
<v Speaker 1>even worse if he loses. But frankly, I don't think
<v Speaker 1>he should be the one. I mean, Moxley has been
<v Speaker 1>so protected and so unbeatable that after all these months,
<v Speaker 1>the whole year, really because he's had this championship since
<v Speaker 1>last year, for Nigel McGinnis to be the one. Let's
<v Speaker 1>say if he goes to the final. He's not there yet,
<v Speaker 1>but if he gets there and he beats John, that
<v Speaker 1>would be that would be ridiculous, that would be ridiculous.
<v Speaker 1>Now there is the possibility they're setting up mox and
<v Speaker 1>Eddie Kingston. Right, Kingston is still in this the same
<v Speaker 1>Eddie Kingston who up until recent he had worked two
<v Speaker 1>dynamites this entire year. The last time was in March
<v Speaker 1>it's like, oh, you know what, let's bring back Eddie Kingston.
<v Speaker 1>He's been toiling away and Ring of Honor. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>don't like the way things are set up right now.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not a fan of this. But after the match
<v Speaker 1>was over, we weren't done yet. J Why got ambushed
<v Speaker 1>by David Finley and Clark Connors, Orange Cassidy and Kyle O'Reilly.
<v Speaker 1>They came out to even the odds. But then Gabe
<v Speaker 1>Kidd showed up. This was his return. He went on
<v Speaker 1>the attack. Roderick Strong came out. He tried to make
<v Speaker 1>the save. Was it Roddy? Somebody threw a punch in
<v Speaker 1>here that was like a phantom punch. It reminded me
<v Speaker 1>of Shane McMahon. I think it was Roddy. He threw
<v Speaker 1>a punch that did not connect. So anyway, the Dogs
<v Speaker 1>were about to put down Roddy when here comes Hangman,
<v Speaker 1>Adam Page and Brodido, the new Trios champions, and so
<v Speaker 1>the dogs ran away. So now the demand comes at
<v Speaker 1>it gets worse. Here comes Ricochet in the Gates of Agony.
<v Speaker 1>They come out on stage with the lethal twist. Hangman says,
<v Speaker 1>there's no way in hell that we're missing Wembley. So
<v Speaker 1>if any of you out here, or anyone who took
<v Speaker 1>a break from waxing their partner's head to watch from
<v Speaker 1>the stage, which got bald chance from the crowd here
<v Speaker 1>directed at Ricochet, if any of you want a shot
<v Speaker 1>at the trios titles, meet us under the Wembley arch
<v Speaker 1>at dusk because the champions will be waiting. And then
<v Speaker 1>later in the back, Prince Nana was there with Swerve
<v Speaker 1>Strickland and this was very brief. Swerve was just sitting down.
<v Speaker 1>He stood up and he just wanted to make sure
<v Speaker 1>that he heard that anyone can challenge for the trios
<v Speaker 1>titles at all. In don't say it if you don't
<v Speaker 1>mean it. Yet another hint that Swerve is in fact
<v Speaker 1>going to round up a couple of partners to join
<v Speaker 1>him in combat. And I think that it looks like
<v Speaker 1>we're not gonna get probably the announcement of who it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be. I mean, we have one more dynamite left.
<v Speaker 1>I suppose it could happen next week. We're so late
<v Speaker 1>in the game here in the promotion for this show.
<v Speaker 1>If it's gonna be the New Day, And I think
<v Speaker 1>we all suspect the same thing. It's gonna be Kofee
<v Speaker 1>and Creed. That'll that'll be more of an impact. It
<v Speaker 1>will make more of an impact than if it's just
<v Speaker 1>the Hurt Syndicate. At this point, there's no sense in
<v Speaker 1>even announcing it in advance. I think the way to
<v Speaker 1>go here is just to kind of let people speculate
<v Speaker 1>on their own as long as you're gonna deliver on
<v Speaker 1>what they're expecting. Don't let people's imaginations run wild with
<v Speaker 1>who it could be. Oh, it's gonna be them, it's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be this guy, that guy, and then deliver a
<v Speaker 1>fucking lame outcome. It's the whole CM punk first dance
<v Speaker 1>thing in Chicago many years ago, where they never said
<v Speaker 1>CM punk was returning, right, but you kind of knew
<v Speaker 1>CM punk was returning, right. They said it without actually
<v Speaker 1>saying it. And I think at this point, if it's
<v Speaker 1>the New Day, that's the way you do it. And
<v Speaker 1>let them come out there and they'll get the big,
<v Speaker 1>you know, debut pop when they come out at Wembley Stadium.
<v Speaker 1>They'll never be a bigger moment for them than that
<v Speaker 1>moment when they first show up. So instead of trotting
<v Speaker 1>them out there, in Glasgow next week, just save them
<v Speaker 1>for London. But it seems pretty clear who he's showing
<v Speaker 1>up with. The one thing I'm not really a fan
<v Speaker 1>of here, it looks like we're just gonna have a
<v Speaker 1>whole bunch of different teams. At first, I thought it
<v Speaker 1>was gonna be like three teams. Now I'm wondering if
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna end up with like four teams, five teams.
<v Speaker 1>They're just gonna like throw a whole bunch of people
<v Speaker 1>in there and you know, to debut the New Day
<v Speaker 1>in that way that I'm not too fond of that. Otherwise,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't really have an issue with linking
<v Speaker 1>them up with Swerve, Like initially I think that's fine,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't want to see them toiling away in
<v Speaker 1>trios hell. Though, for the first six months of their
<v Speaker 1>aw run, we got other matches. We got other matches,
<v Speaker 1>we got tag team titles, not treos titles for them
<v Speaker 1>to be challenging for. After this, we had Jonathan Cruz
<v Speaker 1>standing in the middle of the ring. If you don't
<v Speaker 1>know who that is, it's the former Serpentago. I will
<v Speaker 1>always fondly remember him as the man who wrestles Samoe
<v Speaker 1>Joe on Dynamite and that great spot where he came
<v Speaker 1>diving off the top rope and Joe simply just stepped aside,
<v Speaker 1>and you got that great shot of him flying through
<v Speaker 1>the air, just looking at Joe going what that was him.
<v Speaker 1>He has also in the past played the translator for MJF,
<v Speaker 1>like when MJF was doing the angle at Arena Mexico
<v Speaker 1>and everything. He's his personal translator. See, he was in
<v Speaker 1>the ring and he had a scroll that was given
<v Speaker 1>to him by MJF to tell Andrade what he thinks
<v Speaker 1>of him, but do it in Spanish, said ANDROTI will
<v Speaker 1>never be the real world champion. Androtti is not a
<v Speaker 1>real Latino man. But then he said, well he went
<v Speaker 1>off script here a little bit. But anyway, he said
<v Speaker 1>a few more things about Andrade that were not very nice,
<v Speaker 1>and so he went to go leave. And as he's
<v Speaker 1>going to leave, Androde's music hits. He comes out. He
<v Speaker 1>is in no mood. He is storming down to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>He's not flirting with the women in the front row,
<v Speaker 1>he's not posing, he's not the tranquilo. He makes a
<v Speaker 1>b line for the ring and as it turns out,
<v Speaker 1>we're getting an impromptu match. Justin Roberts went right into
<v Speaker 1>the ring introductions. This did not last very long. The
<v Speaker 1>spinning back elbow right away, and then the DM and
<v Speaker 1>thanks for coming Jonathan Cruz. Androte took the microphone and
<v Speaker 1>he called that MJF. And it was funny because they
<v Speaker 1>kind of fucked up a little bit here. As he
<v Speaker 1>was talking, we could hear Mjf's voice, and I thought
<v Speaker 1>maybe he was there and he was like up in
<v Speaker 1>the skybox or something. What happened was they had a
<v Speaker 1>pre tape with him and they hit the button too soon,
<v Speaker 1>so you could hear it started playing. Androde wasn't done
<v Speaker 1>with his promo yet though, so he finished what he
<v Speaker 1>was saying, and then they cut to the video and
<v Speaker 1>the video was MJF lounging in his pool in plane view,
<v Speaker 1>Long Island with his Real World belt the Triple B
<v Speaker 1>sitting there next to him, next to the pool, and
<v Speaker 1>he's a pool or hot tub whatever it was. I
<v Speaker 1>think it was his pool. He kept calling Androte Andrew,
<v Speaker 1>that was kind of funny. He said, you know, he
<v Speaker 1>was talking to the travel team and he had asked
<v Speaker 1>his travel team is Andrate going to be in Baltimore tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and when they told him that he would be he said, okay, well,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to stay back here in Long Island. The
<v Speaker 1>next time I see Andrew will be at all In.
<v Speaker 1>And that was pretty much it. There wasn't a whole
<v Speaker 1>lot to this here. It was just him acting like
<v Speaker 1>a dick. He wasn't there live Androte was fuming, and
<v Speaker 1>so he picked up Jonathan Cruz and he gave him
<v Speaker 1>another DM and then he asked him how you know?
<v Speaker 1>And then he left. These are the two men that
<v Speaker 1>are entering the gauntlet, number one and number two respectively.
<v Speaker 1>You would watch this and never know there is a
<v Speaker 1>gauntlet match. You would think that they're wrestling one on one,
<v Speaker 1>which is I mean, this entire gauntlet is basically being
<v Speaker 1>built around these two. But yes, there's gonna be a
<v Speaker 1>lot of other people in the gauntlet. We don't know
<v Speaker 1>how many. It could be five people, it could be
<v Speaker 1>fifteen people. Right, It's one fall to a finish. That's
<v Speaker 1>how these gauntlets work. But if you didn't know any better,
<v Speaker 1>you would think that this was one on one. Renee
<v Speaker 1>then had another interview here, this time a little bit different.
<v Speaker 1>Willow Nightingale, the aw Women's World champion and her challenger,
<v Speaker 1>the winner of the Owenhart Tournament, Mercedes Monette, in separate rooms.
<v Speaker 1>So they were in the building, but they were in
<v Speaker 1>separate locations, so we had a split screen. And Mercedes
<v Speaker 1>called Willow a dumb bitch. Willow said that she had
<v Speaker 1>her number, and she said that she had the fans. Mercedes,
<v Speaker 1>you know, hates that she hates the fans. Willow accused
<v Speaker 1>her of having everything she needs in wrestling except that
<v Speaker 1>connection with the fans. Some Mercedes called Willow a bully.
<v Speaker 1>She had spent the last few years smiling. All she
<v Speaker 1>does is smile, right, smiling and dancing. Meanwhile, when they
<v Speaker 1>wrestled each other in New Japan and Mercedes got hurt
<v Speaker 1>and her career was potentially over, she didn't know if
<v Speaker 1>she was going to wrestle again. Willow was there standing
<v Speaker 1>over here and she was smiling, just like she's smiling now.
<v Speaker 1>So they started yelling at each other. She called her
<v Speaker 1>a dumb bitch again. I'm going to take your smile
<v Speaker 1>at Wembley. So they had enough of this and they
<v Speaker 1>took off their mics. Willow went searching for a Mercedes
<v Speaker 1>and the camera followed her. She's marching through the back.
<v Speaker 1>Mercedes ambushed her from behind and they brawled out into
<v Speaker 1>the arena. They brawled down to the ring and we
<v Speaker 1>had a poulapar brawl. And if you've seen one, you've
<v Speaker 1>seen them all. But the fans were into this. I like,
<v Speaker 1>for the most part what they've done here with these two.
<v Speaker 1>They had that segment. God, where were they Cincinnati? I
<v Speaker 1>like that venue. There was that venue. It was right
<v Speaker 1>after Willow won the belt. It was either that first
<v Speaker 1>dynamite after or the week after. But it was that
<v Speaker 1>segment where when Willow came out, it had to be
<v Speaker 1>the first dynamite after and the fans gave her that
<v Speaker 1>standing ovation. They were just so happy to see her
<v Speaker 1>as the champion. And then Mercedes came out, she got
<v Speaker 1>a ton of heat. That was a great segment. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't enjoy this as much as that. But I think
<v Speaker 1>they've done a good job, you know, so far as
<v Speaker 1>far as building the heat here between these two. And
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of history between these two. And Mercedes
<v Speaker 1>has not been able to figure this woman out right.
<v Speaker 1>She lost her TBS championship to her. She has not
<v Speaker 1>been able to win the World Championship. The two opportunities
<v Speaker 1>that she's had up to this point to become the
<v Speaker 1>world champion in this company, she has failed, and so
<v Speaker 1>she wants to do it. She wants to finally break
<v Speaker 1>the curse. She's gonna have to beat the one person
<v Speaker 1>that she hasn't been able to figure out again. It's
<v Speaker 1>a very simple story to fun. I thought that this
<v Speaker 1>was fine, but as pull apart brawls go, you know again,
<v Speaker 1>if you've seen one, you've seen them, all right. They
<v Speaker 1>get separated, one breaks free, they get separated, the other
<v Speaker 1>breaks free. Everyone's got their formula for doing these. We
<v Speaker 1>had Nigel McGinnis and Hetchesero. This was the other quarterfinal
<v Speaker 1>match here in the Continental Cup tournament. So what happened
<v Speaker 1>was Nigel was wrestling on collision last weekend against Kattiori Shabata.
<v Speaker 1>In the course of that match, he supposedly injured his ankle.
<v Speaker 1>I'm still not sure if this is meant to be
<v Speaker 1>a worked injury to build sympathy for Nigel, or if
<v Speaker 1>he legitimately got hurt. I don't know, but he was
<v Speaker 1>sporting a walking boot the other day. He cut this
<v Speaker 1>baby face promo. This was on the quarterfinal selection special
<v Speaker 1>that they put on their YouTube channel, and there was
<v Speaker 1>some doubt about whether or not he was going to
<v Speaker 1>be able to continue, and he goes, no, I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to remain in this tournament and I'm going to win
<v Speaker 1>the whole thing. I'm going to go to Wembley. God
<v Speaker 1>save the Queen. So he was wrestling Hetchisaro, the CMLL
<v Speaker 1>World Champion here on this show, and he had his
<v Speaker 1>ankle taped up. Hetchisera made that ankle target. You would
<v Speaker 1>think that would be to his advantage. Unfortunately, the CMLL
<v Speaker 1>World Champion was unable to beat this one legged man
<v Speaker 1>slash announcer. He lost to Nigel McGinn is here after
<v Speaker 1>Nigel locked on a guillotine and Hetchisaro passed out, and
<v Speaker 1>so that sends Nigel McGinn is here to the next
<v Speaker 1>round of this tournament, the semi final round. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if it had more to do with Nigel, the
<v Speaker 1>story being that Nigel was not one hundred percent, and
<v Speaker 1>maybe he's legitimately not one hundred percent. This was not
<v Speaker 1>very good and I watched this match and it certainly
<v Speaker 1>did not make me want to see Nigel go to
<v Speaker 1>the finals. Or win in the finals. And so I
<v Speaker 1>really am hoping that the whole point of all this
<v Speaker 1>is not to end John Moxley's run as the Continental
<v Speaker 1>Champion to Nigel McGinnis, of all people, just because they're
<v Speaker 1>going to be at Wembley Stadium, because I think that
<v Speaker 1>would be a very lame way to end all of this.
<v Speaker 1>As unbeatable as this man has been, To be perfectly
<v Speaker 1>honest with you, if he wasn't going to lose to
<v Speaker 1>Jay White tonight, I don't think he should be losing
<v Speaker 1>until he wrestles Well Osprey. I mean I said that
<v Speaker 1>even before Redemption, this, before I knew they were doing
<v Speaker 1>this Continental Cup crap. I should said Moxley shouldn't lose
<v Speaker 1>at all until he eventually gets in the ring with Osprey.
<v Speaker 1>Osprey should be the first guy to beat him this year.
<v Speaker 1>But then they announced this Cup and I'm like, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god. I'm like, you know what, let's send Switchblade
<v Speaker 1>to the finals. Can we send Switchblade to the finals here?
<v Speaker 1>And then they just went and fucking beat him here.
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know, they'll tell their story with Nigel.
<v Speaker 1>We'll see if he makes it to the finals. Right now,
<v Speaker 1>he's only in the Semis. One thing I was surprised about.
<v Speaker 1>And if I'm wrong here and they did mention it,
<v Speaker 1>you guys, let me know. I'll double check. But I
<v Speaker 1>did not hear the announcers mention the fact that Nigel
<v Speaker 1>is wrestling Lee Moriarty. I guess there's a Ring of
<v Speaker 1>Honor pay per view coming up this Friday. I think
<v Speaker 1>it might be Death before Dishonor with the stipulation that
<v Speaker 1>if Nigel loses, he will retire from Ring of Honor.
<v Speaker 1>Now I know it's Ring of Honor, but that's kind
<v Speaker 1>of a big thing. You would think they would want
<v Speaker 1>to push. I didn't hear them mention it a single
<v Speaker 1>time here on this show. You would think that would
<v Speaker 1>be kind of a big deal. I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't hear them mention it. We got a video package
<v Speaker 1>for Kevin Knight against Darby Allen. They're going to have
<v Speaker 1>a false count anywhere match at the pay per view
<v Speaker 1>for theb NO TNT. I got my networks mixed up
<v Speaker 1>TNT Championship. So Tony Shavani is in the ring, introduces
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Knight down to the ring, and Knight takes the
<v Speaker 1>mic away from him and says, you know, everybody questions
<v Speaker 1>the jet tonight, though I've got some answers, especially for you, Darby. Allen.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not a young boy anymore. I'm a grown ass man.
<v Speaker 1>I'm the greatest TNT champion of all time. And he
<v Speaker 1>demands that Darby come out to the ring. So Darby
<v Speaker 1>walks out onto the stage and Knight wants security to
<v Speaker 1>check Darby to make sure that he doesn't have any
<v Speaker 1>weapons on him, which, you know what, I would check
<v Speaker 1>him too. I don't trust this guy. So Darby opens
<v Speaker 1>his coat. He didn't have anything on him, so he
<v Speaker 1>tells Darby come on down to the ring, and before
<v Speaker 1>Darby could even begin making his trek down to the ring,
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of Pyro explosions go off. It's like what
<v Speaker 1>happened with Jeff Hardy in WWE many years ago. Who
<v Speaker 1>is responsible for that bother? I don't even remember who
<v Speaker 1>was responsible in that angle? Was it Matt or See
<v Speaker 1>I'm punk right, it was one of those too. But
<v Speaker 1>I remember when Jeff Hardy got blown up by Pyro.
<v Speaker 1>Undertaker got burned by Pyro. But this was like a
<v Speaker 1>whole bunch of Pyro blasts that went off and he
<v Speaker 1>was trapped in the middle of it, and so Darby
<v Speaker 1>goes down and night he drags Darby to the ring,
<v Speaker 1>sets him upside down in a tree of woe in
<v Speaker 1>the corner with a chair by his face, and he
<v Speaker 1>goes coast to coast delivers a drop kick into the
<v Speaker 1>chair into Darby's face. And so this was like a
<v Speaker 1>serious injury angle here and aw medical came out Sting's son,
<v Speaker 1>Sting Junior, Stephen Borden. He was out there. He's been
<v Speaker 1>training with Darby, living with Darby, so he came out there.
<v Speaker 1>They put a neck brace on Darby, they loaded him
<v Speaker 1>onto a stretcher, they took him to the back. After
<v Speaker 1>a break, we got a replay of the attack. It's
<v Speaker 1>such a small thing, but I will say I like
<v Speaker 1>that they did not They don't always do that on
<v Speaker 1>this show. The pace of this show is so manic
<v Speaker 1>and it is so just frenetic. They will shoot like
<v Speaker 1>a serious angle, and then they'll just go right into
<v Speaker 1>the next one, or they'll go to a break, they'll
<v Speaker 1>come back and again it's just onto the next And
<v Speaker 1>they don't either let things breathe or they don't drive.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't need fifty million replays, but like, if
<v Speaker 1>you're gonna do a serious injury angle and you come
<v Speaker 1>back from the break, you should show a replay of
<v Speaker 1>what just happened. It's a minor thing. I feel like
<v Speaker 1>we don't get that a lot here on this show.
<v Speaker 1>So just to drive the point home of like, holy shit,
<v Speaker 1>Darby Allen just got blown up here. They showed it again.
<v Speaker 1>Now we come back live and Toni Shavanni on commentary
<v Speaker 1>says Darby had visible burns on his face, and I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking at the footage of him and I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't see any visible birds. But they're in the
<v Speaker 1>back now and they're wheeling him on the gurney, and
<v Speaker 1>again Sting Junior is with him. Night shows up and
<v Speaker 1>Sting's son wanted to go after him, but Darby kind
<v Speaker 1>of reaches up and holds him back, and Night is
<v Speaker 1>taunting him and saying, you're not ready for it anyway,
<v Speaker 1>stay in your lane. Meanwhile, you could hear the live
<v Speaker 1>crowd in the arena channey. We can't I think they
<v Speaker 1>were channing. We can't see shit, So I guess they
<v Speaker 1>couldn't see what was going on here. And then if
<v Speaker 1>you could see through the smoke. Maybe this is why
<v Speaker 1>they were chanting that if you could see through the
<v Speaker 1>smoke in the arena, which was hard to do. Between
<v Speaker 1>that and then the pyro they gave Kenny Omega when
<v Speaker 1>he was coming out here for this main event, it
<v Speaker 1>was finally time for the main event, yet another trios
<v Speaker 1>match with the Fucking Callous Family, this time against Kenny
<v Speaker 1>Omega and the Young Bucks. As Kenny's music hit, he
<v Speaker 1>was about to make his entrance, the cameras following him
<v Speaker 1>right behind him in the back, Will Osprey shows up
<v Speaker 1>and two of them kind of get into it verbally.
<v Speaker 1>Security comes over Kenny's like take him away, So Kenny
<v Speaker 1>makes his way out to the ring. They kept this
<v Speaker 1>to ten minutes. Thank god, I didn't even think this
<v Speaker 1>need to go that long to get to the point,
<v Speaker 1>which was everything that came after the match. The match
<v Speaker 1>itself didn't really serve much of a purpose other than
<v Speaker 1>to get us to what happened after Omega closed it
<v Speaker 1>out with a v trigger at a one winged Angel
<v Speaker 1>on Jake Doyle for the win. That's really all you
<v Speaker 1>need to know. When the match was over, here comes
<v Speaker 1>Rapunkie Wece or RPG vis Is it urpgvice? Now? Is
<v Speaker 1>that officially their name? I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Oh, there
<v Speaker 1>were Punkie fans out there. They come out with Lance Archer.
<v Speaker 1>They hit the ring to attack the elite and they
<v Speaker 1>set up a table outside the ring in front of
<v Speaker 1>where the announcers are Mark Davis. He drags Omega to
<v Speaker 1>the apron. Archer was about to double choke slam the
<v Speaker 1>Bucks when we hear Adam Copeland's music and Copeland comes out,
<v Speaker 1>he cleans house. Christian Cage is also coming out, but
<v Speaker 1>he's taking his sweet time coming down to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>The Bucks went to go super kick Trent Bretta. They
<v Speaker 1>ended up taking out Christian by accident. Copeland and the
<v Speaker 1>Bucks they got into a shoving match and then and
<v Speaker 1>they ended up going after the Callus clanned and they
<v Speaker 1>fought them all the way to the back. So the
<v Speaker 1>only one left alone in the ring now is Kenny Omega.
<v Speaker 1>He was about to speak. Will Osprey comes out and
<v Speaker 1>Omega said, you know he said that. Omega said earlier
<v Speaker 1>that he had something to tell Will after his match.
<v Speaker 1>And Omega said, all I have left to say to
<v Speaker 1>you is security get him out of here and Osprey
<v Speaker 1>called him a pussy. As Osprey was leaving, Omega told
<v Speaker 1>him to tuck his tail between his legs like the
<v Speaker 1>little English bitch that he is not very baby face leg.
<v Speaker 1>Osprey turned back around. He hit the ring. He got
<v Speaker 1>some shots off until two security guards pulled him back,
<v Speaker 1>which allowed Omega to take a cheap shot. He delivered
<v Speaker 1>a v trigger knee to will ospray here. Omega then
<v Speaker 1>took the mic and he told Osprey, I got one
<v Speaker 1>last thing to teach you. Drags him over to the ropes,
<v Speaker 1>takes him to the apron, and he delivers a one
<v Speaker 1>winged angel drew that table. I mentioned that they had
<v Speaker 1>set up outside. A one winged angel threw the table
<v Speaker 1>and he had the crazy eyes. He's sitting there on
<v Speaker 1>the ground like psyching himself up. Omega is they pretty
<v Speaker 1>well established tonight on this show. The purpose of all
<v Speaker 1>of this was to make it very clear that Kenny
<v Speaker 1>Omega in this scenario, he's the bad guy. Will Osprey
<v Speaker 1>is the one who is fighting from underneath. He's fighting
<v Speaker 1>the great Kenny Omega, the Kenny Omega who appears to
<v Speaker 1>be or in the process of being corrupted yet again
<v Speaker 1>by World champion and all the power and glory that
<v Speaker 1>comes with it. Right, you're no better than me. I'm
<v Speaker 1>the champion, I'm the great. What does he call He's
<v Speaker 1>got like fifty million nicknames, right, the best bout machine,
<v Speaker 1>the wrestling god, all this stuff that people call him.
<v Speaker 1>It's corrupting him. It's getting to his head. And Osprey
<v Speaker 1>has something to prove to himself. Now he has to
<v Speaker 1>go out there and he has to do it on
<v Speaker 1>his own. As Kenny Omega told them weeks ago, can
<v Speaker 1>you pull the trigger? Or it was John Moxley even
<v Speaker 1>that said that his mission is to go to Wembley
<v Speaker 1>improve all those people wrong. I don't need the death Riders,
<v Speaker 1>I don't need don Kallis, I don't need you. I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to England them in my home country. No Englishman
<v Speaker 1>has ever done this before. I got the weight of
<v Speaker 1>the world riding on my shoulders here, and I got
<v Speaker 1>a bad neck. I got a surgically repaired neck, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm going into the main event of this show in
<v Speaker 1>front of forty five thousand people and my only goal
<v Speaker 1>is to take that championship from you. That's it. And
<v Speaker 1>every promo he's cut so far, he's established what that
<v Speaker 1>means to him, right how much pressure he's putting on
<v Speaker 1>himself because this right here, everything revolves around this match.
<v Speaker 1>Everything revolves around that championship and him living up to
<v Speaker 1>the potential that Kenny Omega talked about in that promo.
<v Speaker 1>That sit down at the beginning of the show. Well,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it really impressed me. But I saw the
<v Speaker 1>potential in you. Well, now it's time for him to
<v Speaker 1>put up or shut up and realize that potent. It
<v Speaker 1>all in it's a very simple story. I like what
<v Speaker 1>they did with them tonight, and also again it's good
<v Speaker 1>to get the Cope and Christian stuff in there. Even
<v Speaker 1>that still felt like an afterthought, but they had to
<v Speaker 1>do something. I mean that match again, that match really
<v Speaker 1>should feel like a bigger deal than it does right now.
<v Speaker 1>So you had to do something with them on the show.
<v Speaker 1>So they did the accidental shots to Christian. But they
<v Speaker 1>haven't done much honestly since that sit down, that tape
<v Speaker 1>sit down they did a few weeks ago. They need
<v Speaker 1>to fix their time management with these shows. That's my
<v Speaker 1>other takeaway from this. Either fix your time management. We're
<v Speaker 1>not talking about a five minute over run, seven minute
<v Speaker 1>overrun thirty five fucking minutes, So either fix that or
<v Speaker 1>just make it a two and a half hour show.
<v Speaker 1>But I mean, it's crazy to me. How you know
<v Speaker 1>it's supposed to be a two hour show. They advertise
<v Speaker 1>it as a two hour show, and it's not even like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>we got this great main event going on and we
<v Speaker 1>don't know when it's going to end, and then it
<v Speaker 1>goes like eight minutes. It's like, no, the show is
<v Speaker 1>formatted as two and a half hours. Why is it
<v Speaker 1>not listed as two and a half hours? Just just
<v Speaker 1>just make it official at this point, It's like Raw
<v Speaker 1>Raw is supposed to be two and a half hours
<v Speaker 1>on Netflix, so we know that going in. Sometimes it's less,
<v Speaker 1>which I appreciate. Thirty five minutes extra first show here
<v Speaker 1>which was not needed. Could always find something to cut.
<v Speaker 1>That was Dynamite. Next Wednesday they're going to be in Glasgow, Scotland.
<v Speaker 1>That's the go home Dynamite before all in London on
<v Speaker 1>the thirtieth. We have collision this Saturday. I guess there'll
<v Speaker 1>be a collision the following Saturday and that's it. Then
<v Speaker 1>we go into All In. I'll have all my predictions
<v Speaker 1>for the pay per view on the podcast coming up
<v Speaker 1>this weekend. Check you super chats out here and then
<v Speaker 1>we'll get you guys on out of here. Thank you
<v Speaker 1>for joining me and hanging out with me here on
<v Speaker 1>a Wednesday night. Again, I appreciate you guys, and I
<v Speaker 1>appreciate Noah for bringing the sound off sign here to
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite tonight. I did it was at the very end there,
<v Speaker 1>but I did see it there at the end of
<v Speaker 1>the show. Let's start here with Michael Mike from Brooklyn.
<v Speaker 1>Well actually hold on Jersey authentic. Yes, I did see
<v Speaker 1>that bump. I actually saw it. While I was in
<v Speaker 1>the middle of doing TNT with JD last night. Somebody
<v Speaker 1>sent me a link to that bump that smart Mark
<v Speaker 1>Sterling took at the Ring of Honor show. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know why Ring of Honor. Oh well, I guess because
<v Speaker 1>of the pay per view this weekend. That's why I
<v Speaker 1>was like, why is Ring of Honor airing on a Tuesday.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't realize there's a pay per view I think
<v Speaker 1>on Friday. But yeah, he was on the apron. I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure most of you saw it by now, but if
<v Speaker 1>you didn't, he was on the apron and Commander did
<v Speaker 1>that springboard drop kick like Jericho does in his matches,
<v Speaker 1>and or springboard kick, and he kicks Mark Sterling, and
<v Speaker 1>he takes this bump off the apron in such a
<v Speaker 1>way where he lands. It's not even enough for me
<v Speaker 1>to sit here and tell you that he landed on
<v Speaker 1>his He landed on his neck, but his body contorted
<v Speaker 1>and twisted in a way that he looked like a
<v Speaker 1>cartoon character. The human body is not meant to twist
<v Speaker 1>like that, and your head and neck is not meant
<v Speaker 1>to just like a fucking javelin, go into the ground.
<v Speaker 1>So his whole gimmick used to be he would walk
<v Speaker 1>around with a neck brace on. I hope he kept
<v Speaker 1>that neck brace because he's gonna need it. I hope
<v Speaker 1>he's okay. That was very, very scary anyway, Mike says,
<v Speaker 1>I normally listen to the podcast, but I am getting
<v Speaker 1>back surgery this morning or in the morning. Thank you
<v Speaker 1>for what you do well. I am wishing you all
<v Speaker 1>the luck in the world on that. That's pretty serious
<v Speaker 1>stuff there. I don't know what the back surgery is for.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if there was an accident or if
<v Speaker 1>you just have some back issues that you're trying to remedy.
<v Speaker 1>But I hope it all works out for you, Mike.
<v Speaker 1>I hope it all goes well. Thank you. Brother. Dried
<v Speaker 1>Chicken says it's good that Kenny Omega is healing it
<v Speaker 1>up against will Osprey to the point where you just
<v Speaker 1>want to punch Omega in the face. He is coming
<v Speaker 1>off like someone that you would want to punch in
<v Speaker 1>the face. I think he's doing a good job with that.
<v Speaker 1>Walter Pelasios with a nine ninety nine. Hey Walter, thank you,
<v Speaker 1>my friend. Happy Wednesday to you. Drive Chicken says Tekla
<v Speaker 1>should have an open challenge against a Stardom wrestler at Wembley. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I don't need that. The card's going to be big
<v Speaker 1>enough as it is. I don't need to see that
<v Speaker 1>on the show. You want to do it on the
<v Speaker 1>pre show, be my guest. We don't need that on
<v Speaker 1>the main card, unless they were to use that as
<v Speaker 1>a way to debut somebody knew like Kyrie. If Kyrie
<v Speaker 1>maybe he's going to sign with Stardom, have like a
<v Speaker 1>dual contract thing going on with them and aw and
<v Speaker 1>then I'll allow that. Love the Lord says fourth best
<v Speaker 1>Dynamite of twenty twenty six fourth best. What are the
<v Speaker 1>first three? Jay White should have won, Stephen or Steve
<v Speaker 1>Bordon Steve, but Steve Borden is on aw television in
<v Speaker 1>his debut. Do you think Callum Newman turns on Will
<v Speaker 1>Osprey at Wembley? I hope not. Callum Newman has had
<v Speaker 1>absolutely nothing to do with any of this. I don't
<v Speaker 1>want Callum Newman to factor into the Wembley main event.
<v Speaker 1>I think that would be awful, So no, I have
<v Speaker 1>no interest in seeing that. And Dried Chickens says MJF
<v Speaker 1>will not interfere in the main event. He should ruin
<v Speaker 1>either Omega or Osprey's postmatch moment. I don't know that
<v Speaker 1>he's going to because we still have to get the
<v Speaker 1>singles match. I think we're gonna get a singles match
<v Speaker 1>with him and Androdda, and I feel like he's got
<v Speaker 1>to wrap that up first before we thrust him back
<v Speaker 1>into the world title picture. So we'll see what happens
<v Speaker 1>with him coming out of all in. Thank you, guys,
<v Speaker 1>I told you I was gonna get you in and
<v Speaker 1>out as quickly as I could. That was dynamite. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna be live with you again on Friday night, we'll
<v Speaker 1>be talking about SmackDown Big Show. They're in Toronto, Kevin
<v Speaker 1>Owen in Canada, challenging with the WWE Championship against CM Punk.
<v Speaker 1>I know he's probably not gonna win, but I wish
<v Speaker 1>he would. Sammy's Ain, I'm sure is gonna fuck it
<v Speaker 1>all up. We'll find out together. And what else have
<v Speaker 1>they announced for SmackDown? I think they announced a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of other matches too, I just don't remember. I don't
<v Speaker 1>remember what they were. Oh, oh, Blake Monroe. That's right,
<v Speaker 1>Blake Monroe is making her debut against Julia. That's also
<v Speaker 1>coming up on Friday. Am I gonna see the Coyote
<v Speaker 1>Versus Acme movie? You bet your ass I will. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna wait until the end of the weekend. Hopefully my
<v Speaker 1>local theater is showing it, and if they are, I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna snatch up tickets for later in the week next week.
<v Speaker 1>I saw that last trailer. It looks like a lot
<v Speaker 1>of fun. It very much reminds me of who Framed
<v Speaker 1>Roger Rabbit, which was a very I mean, that was
<v Speaker 1>a very kind of revolutionary movie for its time. The
<v Speaker 1>whole mix of animated and live action This reminds me
<v Speaker 1>of that and I love that. So if it can
<v Speaker 1>be as fun as that movie, then this is going
<v Speaker 1>to be a thumbs up. I'm looking forward to and
<v Speaker 1>just think that this movie was not even supposed to
<v Speaker 1>see the light of day. David Zaslov was going, He's
<v Speaker 1>gonna personally push the delete button on this movie all
<v Speaker 1>for a tax break. Fuck him. Imagine working on a movie.
<v Speaker 1>However many months it took to make that movie, and yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you get paid for it. It's not like you work
<v Speaker 1>for free. But still you put your heart and soul
<v Speaker 1>into something. And then or maybe you're like a newer
<v Speaker 1>actor and you know this is going to be on
<v Speaker 1>your resume. You want people to see your acting work
<v Speaker 1>here in this film, and then it gets put on
<v Speaker 1>a fucking shelf, never to be seen. That's what almost
<v Speaker 1>happened with this movie. I hope a lot of people
<v Speaker 1>go out and buy a ticket and go support the movie,
<v Speaker 1>as I will be doing anyway. Be well, stay safe
<v Speaker 1>and come on back on Friday. We will do it
<v Speaker 1>all over again and hopefully do some be the booker
<v Speaker 1>for smack Down on Friday. Date out until then, Take care, guys,
