<v Speaker 1>Jarry, Katie and Josh mix one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>All right, so coming up on the show, set those
<v Speaker 2>reminders seven thirty. We're about a half an hour away
<v Speaker 2>from Fast five with some more good loot to give
<v Speaker 2>away a pair of tickets to see five Seconds of Summer.
<v Speaker 3>That'll be coming up.
<v Speaker 2>And uh, I was just looking at the forecast ninety
<v Speaker 2>eight today, which is gonna be epic bro for the
<v Speaker 2>Broncos playing tonight. It's gonna be a nice night for
<v Speaker 2>people to get out there and do some tailgating and
<v Speaker 2>get your drink on and fall down and break your nose.
<v Speaker 4>Oh, mixing a water maybe.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, yeah, exactly, taking a water easy with that.
<v Speaker 2>Heat, yeah, easy with the meat and the beer. Tonight
<v Speaker 2>there fellas a lot of bro hugs this evening and
<v Speaker 2>so many faces really excited about the Broncos starting up.
<v Speaker 2>So that's going on tonight in the Mile High City.
<v Speaker 2>Katie was talking to me off the air because we're
<v Speaker 2>all in this pursuit to stay youthful and young and
<v Speaker 2>I guess it all comes down to our hair now.
<v Speaker 5>Oh and how you part it?
<v Speaker 6>Honestly, I don't know if you know this, eyes, but
<v Speaker 6>when it comes to gen zers, and millennials. There's a
<v Speaker 6>real big differentiating factor when it comes to what camp
<v Speaker 6>you lie in, right, Millennials have always said that it to,
<v Speaker 6>you know, a side part. So when you part your
<v Speaker 6>hair down the side, that is a true tale that
<v Speaker 6>you are a millennial. But if you do the middle part,
<v Speaker 6>you're a gen z. And that's how they've always been
<v Speaker 6>able to tell you apart. Right, Well, now the gen
<v Speaker 6>zers are bringing back the side part and are confusing everybody. Oh,
<v Speaker 6>if you want to look a little younger, the one
<v Speaker 6>who's starting it is Olivia Rodrigo. She is making that
<v Speaker 6>side park cute again, and so is in Deeya, Olivia Dean,
<v Speaker 6>Jenna Ortega, all.
<v Speaker 5>Of them showing up with side parts.
<v Speaker 3>You have to go so bad? Yeah, exactly.
<v Speaker 5>They feel like, right, you know, there's definitely a good boundary.
<v Speaker 5>You don't want to go all the way over.
<v Speaker 2>I'm a fan of the side silly. They see the
<v Speaker 2>side park in middle school.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, so you get it, and can you side part now?
<v Speaker 1>No?
<v Speaker 3>I don't have enough. Okay, I'm starting to try to
<v Speaker 3>get to grow back there.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's no secret. Nicole made fun of me last night. Actually,
<v Speaker 2>she said you better go get hair plugs.
<v Speaker 3>That was after I made a comment about her.
<v Speaker 1>Well second, exactly exactly, you asked.
<v Speaker 3>Squires back, like she hits me with that missile poem.
<v Speaker 6>What's funny about this is it's all about nostalgia and
<v Speaker 6>I'm sure you can see it in a lot of
<v Speaker 6>different areas of our life. Gen z Ers love it.
<v Speaker 6>They're bringing back a lot of different nineties trends. So
<v Speaker 6>this is part of that. The French tip nails.
<v Speaker 1>The rise jeans.
<v Speaker 2>I know you guys, is that where you've been over
<v Speaker 2>and you see the whales tail?
<v Speaker 5>Yes it is.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, take me back.
<v Speaker 6>So yeah, if you see a lot more side parts
<v Speaker 6>out there, it's trendy, that's all right.
<v Speaker 1>Look at me, Oh yeah, you.
<v Speaker 3>Look like fifteen minutes younger.
<v Speaker 2>All right, So I briefly want to talk about this
<v Speaker 2>chicken thing you were at last night. Give me a
<v Speaker 2>quick recap because I do want to jump off and
<v Speaker 2>talk about something that happened there because Josh had to leave,
<v Speaker 2>so that is funny to me.
<v Speaker 3>But give me a rechar give me a quick recapablity
<v Speaker 3>went down?
<v Speaker 6>Well, we were at Ilages, myself and Josh last night
<v Speaker 6>for chicken.
<v Speaker 1>Fight and burger brawl and it was amazing.
<v Speaker 6>I guess this is like the fourth year I think
<v Speaker 6>they've had this, and they were talking about how like
<v Speaker 6>the first year there wasn't a whole lot of people
<v Speaker 6>and then it just kind of grew. Last night it
<v Speaker 6>was like elbow to elbow, standing room only in the.
<v Speaker 5>Entire capacity of.
<v Speaker 6>So packed, and there were so many restaurants from around
<v Speaker 6>the Male High City and beyond that were there.
<v Speaker 1>To service their delicious chicken and burgers.
<v Speaker 5>And it was just phenomenal.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, did you participate in the wing eating? Did
<v Speaker 3>you did? How funny just did how many people participated
<v Speaker 3>in it? Okay? Was it like a stage and everything?
<v Speaker 6>There was like three heats of it and so the
<v Speaker 6>I think it was like eight per heat, and so
<v Speaker 6>I was in the first heat. I was the first
<v Speaker 6>contestant to go out on the stage.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it should be.
<v Speaker 6>They played my walk up song, which was a little
<v Speaker 6>justin Bieber Yummy.
<v Speaker 4>It was good. It's good.
<v Speaker 3>I wanted to pick a song.
<v Speaker 5>We played also here a mixed one hundred to represent.
<v Speaker 6>But it's funny because I rolled in to this chicken
<v Speaker 6>wing eating contest and they told us to show up
<v Speaker 6>about fifteen minutes early, and we're all backstage and I'm
<v Speaker 6>looking around. I am one of three females in the
<v Speaker 6>entire thing, and there.
<v Speaker 5>Are like former linebackers back like.
<v Speaker 4>The NFL, Like these were NFL players. I'm not kidding.
<v Speaker 7>These were actual like brought those Jets players, yes, and
<v Speaker 7>then some basketball players like these.
<v Speaker 4>Guys were legitimate guys. I like five akti ready.
<v Speaker 6>To eat chicken and I was like, well, clearly I'm
<v Speaker 6>not gonna win this thing. So at that point, I'm like,
<v Speaker 6>I just want to have fun, right, Because they still
<v Speaker 6>wanted to eat all the stuff at the festival, So
<v Speaker 6>that's where I was like, I don't want to make
<v Speaker 6>myself sick on chicken wings and then not be able
<v Speaker 6>to eat any of the burgers or nachos or than
<v Speaker 6>any other stuff that they had. So my whole plan
<v Speaker 6>was to go out there and just kind of enjoy
<v Speaker 6>the chicken wings because you know, when Josh and I
<v Speaker 6>had the dry run through, when we had a little
<v Speaker 6>practice round, I stuffed three wings in my face in
<v Speaker 6>a minute, and I was like that's way too much bird, you.
<v Speaker 4>Know, like I just it's hard wings.
<v Speaker 3>How'd you do?
<v Speaker 6>So? Anyway, I was just trying to enjoy the wings,
<v Speaker 6>so and I wasn't trying to go like super fast,
<v Speaker 6>but I was still keeping pace with all these people.
<v Speaker 5>Like apparently I was doing a really good job.
<v Speaker 4>It was impressive, like just from the.
<v Speaker 6>Crowd anyway, So like, yeah, at the end of it,
<v Speaker 6>in three minutes, I.
<v Speaker 1>Ate ten fast.
<v Speaker 3>Ways, it's really good. It's really good.
<v Speaker 6>And the whole thing was who could eat twenty fastest,
<v Speaker 6>And I was like, there's no way I'm gonna eat twenty.
<v Speaker 6>But but there's like the video of it is totally
<v Speaker 6>people taking the wings and pounding them on the table
<v Speaker 6>to get all the meat off and then shoving it
<v Speaker 6>all in their mouth and they're like intense, and then
<v Speaker 6>you have me over here do do like just seriously
<v Speaker 6>like looking at the wing and taking pieces off.
<v Speaker 1>But I still kept peace with everybody.
<v Speaker 3>So at the end and there was like a grand
<v Speaker 3>champion then or what did they get?
<v Speaker 7>So they got it's like a whole year's supply of
<v Speaker 7>the restaurants, well.
<v Speaker 6>The festivals that they have in town, so the company
<v Speaker 6>the dining out that had the chicken fest, they also
<v Speaker 6>do like rare and big eats and.
<v Speaker 5>Stuff like that.
<v Speaker 6>So you get a pair of tickets to all of
<v Speaker 6>those food festivals and then some kind of gift card
<v Speaker 6>and everything.
<v Speaker 5>And that's the thing.
<v Speaker 6>I didn't know there was an actual prize up for grabs,
<v Speaker 6>and I felt because, well, no, I was like one
<v Speaker 6>of the sponsor people. I didn't want to win. I
<v Speaker 6>felt like that would be a bad look. So then
<v Speaker 6>I was just like, I'm just gonna relax and take
<v Speaker 6>my time. But it was pretty fun, like I've never
<v Speaker 6>been in a chicken wing eating competition before and it
<v Speaker 6>was awesome.
<v Speaker 5>It was not like check that off the bucket.
<v Speaker 6>Yes, and all the pictures are on our Instagram at
<v Speaker 6>Jeremy Katie Josh at Mixed one hundred Denver if you
<v Speaker 6>want to go check it out and see what.
<v Speaker 5>It was like.
<v Speaker 6>But I highly suggest you get in on this next year.
<v Speaker 6>It was so much fun and so much good.
<v Speaker 2>I think the best moment for me though, coming in
<v Speaker 2>this morning and hearing about all this, and then Josh,
<v Speaker 2>who was slightly reluctant to go anyway, but he got
<v Speaker 2>out of there a little early because of a text
<v Speaker 2>that he got from his girlfriend uh huh, which literally.
<v Speaker 3>Made me lol because bless her heart. What was the
<v Speaker 3>text that she sent.
<v Speaker 7>You, Hey, it's my half birthday and we didn't celebrate
<v Speaker 7>today birthday.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah what how old is she?
<v Speaker 4>God?
<v Speaker 3>In her thirties right and half, But she'sthday and a
<v Speaker 3>half so she is inmp half.
<v Speaker 7>Birthday, so it's okay, yes, yeah, yeah, and she was
<v Speaker 7>on it.
<v Speaker 4>It's so funny.
<v Speaker 7>So the Chicken Fight thing was in Denver, so I
<v Speaker 7>hung out with her before because I was like, hey,
<v Speaker 7>she lives really close to Elitch's. Okay, I can just
<v Speaker 7>hang with her and then and then zip on over.
<v Speaker 7>So we hung out virtually the entire day before, did
<v Speaker 7>some fun things, grabbed lunch, walked around McGregor's square. Beautiful day.
<v Speaker 7>And then I had to go to the Chicken Fight thing,
<v Speaker 7>and I wanted to go with you and do a
<v Speaker 7>fun event and everything. And I get a text halfway
<v Speaker 7>through She's like, it's my half birthday and you didn't
<v Speaker 7>do anything for it. Like what, I was like, you
<v Speaker 7>couldn't have brought this up earlier. That's the thing she
<v Speaker 7>didn't even realize. So I didn't realize you that.
<v Speaker 3>With her left and then she realized and then had
<v Speaker 3>to text.
<v Speaker 7>You yes, And that's when she was like, when you're done,
<v Speaker 7>come back over and we're celebrating my half birthday.
<v Speaker 3>So does that involve a gift or.
<v Speaker 4>So that's the whole thing.
<v Speaker 7>Now, this weekend is now about her and her half
<v Speaker 7>birthday because I missed it, jar, because I.
<v Speaker 3>Missed somebody else.
<v Speaker 4>So I love her.
<v Speaker 2>This is this is a list of I don't think
<v Speaker 2>this is gonna be is.
<v Speaker 7>So good at celebrating others, So she deserves it, and
<v Speaker 7>I'm gonna make this whole weekend about.
<v Speaker 2>It deserves a half birthday. This is the dumbest thing
<v Speaker 2>on the planet. What do you mean every reason dumbest.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think, I think any half birthday.
<v Speaker 7>It's the same girl that gets the birthday month, though
<v Speaker 7>it's the same thing's birthday month. Six months ago it
<v Speaker 7>was her birthday month, and then yesterday was her half birthday.
<v Speaker 4>So I went about.
<v Speaker 3>Your future here, all right, And if this is the
<v Speaker 3>kind of future.
<v Speaker 6>That you want, no, Josh, you could be way worse.
<v Speaker 6>You take that half birthday and that is steady. You
<v Speaker 6>embrace that, celebrate the birthday.
<v Speaker 7>I put a candle on a cookie and I said
<v Speaker 7>to her, I'm not kidding.
<v Speaker 3>I said to her, you put a candle on a cookie.
<v Speaker 7>I put a birthday a happy I went and got
<v Speaker 7>the birthday sash on her.
<v Speaker 4>I got it last night, and then we're going to.
<v Speaker 7>You're gonna sell me golfing for her birthday?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, she a sash on.
<v Speaker 4>You had a happy birthday.
<v Speaker 2>Sash it's a birthday right now.
<v Speaker 5>You shouldn't be. I think it's adorable.
<v Speaker 4>Collectively, we're still a horrible guys.
<v Speaker 3>It's pretty adorable. It's adorable.
<v Speaker 5>I think it's cute.
<v Speaker 3>I think it's needy, self centered, I think.
<v Speaker 1>Immature, none of those things.
<v Speaker 6>And I want to say, Josh, I like that you
<v Speaker 6>are appeasing her, like you're actually.
<v Speaker 3>Because he went to it, you know, yeah, why reason.
<v Speaker 7>Point?
<v Speaker 2>Then?
<v Speaker 5>Is it like it's my quarter birthday?
<v Speaker 4>Well we're gonna get Yeah.
<v Speaker 5>It's my three quarter birthday.
<v Speaker 4>Across that bridge. When I forget about that one too?
<v Speaker 3>When does it in?
<v Speaker 4>It never does.
<v Speaker 3>Oh I got a headache.
<v Speaker 4>Oh my god.
<v Speaker 2>The amount of messages coming in right now from women,
<v Speaker 2>which I'm so happy about saying, Oh my god, Josh,
<v Speaker 2>a half birthday? Are you are you kidding me with
<v Speaker 2>this princess pilot that you're dating some of my favorite
<v Speaker 2>ones here.
<v Speaker 3>Uh my wife Nick Knak was listening.
<v Speaker 2>She goes, please tell me Josh was just making this
<v Speaker 2>half birthday thing up. Sorry, And I wrote back, Nope,
<v Speaker 2>I can't even. And then she just sent back another
<v Speaker 2>one and he bought her a freaking sash.
<v Speaker 4>Gotta go, you gotta go out. It was there with
<v Speaker 4>the candles. It was honestly a two for one.
<v Speaker 1>Oh hey, you guys are still together though, right?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, she just wrote back.
<v Speaker 2>She just wrote back, I don't think Josh's girlfriend and
<v Speaker 2>I may get along. I would like to publicly say
<v Speaker 2>I loved my wife very much and thank you very
<v Speaker 2>much for not making me celebrate half birthdays.
<v Speaker 3>And Josh She's probably right. I don't know if they're
<v Speaker 3>going to get along, buddy. So I'm sorry. Lord help you,
<v Speaker 3>Lord help your future talk.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, speaking of stuff going on, my god, I'm looking
<v Speaker 2>at the list of things going on this weekend.
<v Speaker 3>It is going to be a busy city.
<v Speaker 2>I'll tell you that much busy state, a busy state,
<v Speaker 2>You're right, Katie. I mean, first of all, it is
<v Speaker 2>the Broncos game tonight. I mean, come on, everybody's talking
<v Speaker 2>about that. We got the flock party. That's taken over
<v Speaker 2>the Denver Zoo. Big Bounce America with the enormous inflatable
<v Speaker 2>attractions is going to be at the Denver Coliseum.
<v Speaker 3>Comic Con is going on in Colorado. Springs.
<v Speaker 2>Got a Larry Walker statue unveiling and then I know
<v Speaker 2>you're heading out to what palisade?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, you're doing the Peach Festival.
<v Speaker 6>And I forgot that it's also the Elitha sweet Corn Festival.
<v Speaker 3>Sweet sweet Corn. It is with the sweet corn.
<v Speaker 6>And I love this festival because you get to roll
<v Speaker 6>into the festival grounds and they have all you can
<v Speaker 6>eat corn on the cop right like truckloads of corn
<v Speaker 6>on the cob.
<v Speaker 1>And then they have the world's largest slab of butter
<v Speaker 1>right there on the table and really you can.
<v Speaker 6>Go roll style so you can roll your corn in
<v Speaker 6>that butter along with everyone else in that park.
<v Speaker 3>Very sanitary at all.
<v Speaker 6>I have a whole table full of seasonings. I mean
<v Speaker 6>you can pick whatever you want, cage and barbecue, I
<v Speaker 6>mean little.
<v Speaker 3>Range, well, ranch powder.
<v Speaker 6>You have everything on this table full of seasonings. And
<v Speaker 6>if you're a little germophobe.
<v Speaker 5>Like you, Jeremy, okay, so slab of butter.
<v Speaker 6>They also have the spray butter that you can put
<v Speaker 6>on your you know what I mean.
<v Speaker 2>Well, think of this because I feel like at the
<v Speaker 2>corn Festival, every buddy's you know, eating the corn on
<v Speaker 2>the cob.
<v Speaker 3>Your hands are getting into it.
<v Speaker 2>And people are probably licking their fingers because they got
<v Speaker 2>butter all over and then they walk back over it
<v Speaker 2>to the world's largest slab of butter.
<v Speaker 3>The bottles this season, this sounds disgusting.
<v Speaker 6>Us best festival ever, and I forgot that it's going
<v Speaker 6>on at the same time as the Palisade Peach Festival,
<v Speaker 6>so I'll probably what.
<v Speaker 3>Do you rub your peaches on?
<v Speaker 4>There? Say?
<v Speaker 5>Time between the peaches?
<v Speaker 3>That sounds inappropriate.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, I just love the food festivals in Colorado.
<v Speaker 2>That is I mean, I'm gonna tell you right now.
<v Speaker 2>That is a huge difference between the two of us
<v Speaker 2>on the show because Dies she will go to any
<v Speaker 2>food festival.
<v Speaker 3>She came to me with a list of food festivals
<v Speaker 3>the other week and She's like, do you want to
<v Speaker 3>go to all these with me? And I was like,
<v Speaker 3>hell's to the no. You're like, I am not a
<v Speaker 3>food festival.
<v Speaker 1>Gay, and you told me that, You're like, do you
<v Speaker 1>know me with the germs?
<v Speaker 3>I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 5>It's just the last place I want to be.
<v Speaker 3>Are we sponsoring any food festival?
<v Speaker 2>We are all the food festivals except but here's the thing.
<v Speaker 1>I know, I can all of them for us, so
<v Speaker 1>we can't it covered and.
<v Speaker 3>Roast me out. It's generally I can't talk about this, and.
<v Speaker 6>I love it because I'm like because usually the festival
<v Speaker 6>is highlighting one specific food and that's why I like it,
<v Speaker 6>because I usually love that food. I mean, I haven't
<v Speaker 6>been to a festival I don't like, so yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 6>just for me such a big fan. But hey, if
<v Speaker 6>you can't make it all the way over to a lath,
<v Speaker 6>I wanted to point out there is the Loveling Corn
<v Speaker 6>Roast Festival.
<v Speaker 3>Well, so yeah, how much corn is consumed?
<v Speaker 1>Did you know Boulder has the Taco Fest this weekend, the.
<v Speaker 3>Taco Fest settle Down.
<v Speaker 2>I will not be at any of those, but I'll
<v Speaker 2>tell you right now, you might find me at the
<v Speaker 2>Big Bounce America with the inflatable bounce houses at the
<v Speaker 2>Denver Coliseum.
<v Speaker 3>Here's that you might find me there. Actually, no, I'm kidding.
<v Speaker 3>You know how gross those are? Two you don't like
<v Speaker 3>that of bounce houses?
<v Speaker 5>What about the Unicorn Festival.
<v Speaker 3>What do you tell me?
<v Speaker 6>Is that for you the Rappaho County Fairgrounds Tomorrow and Sunday.
<v Speaker 6>So that's gonna have unicorns, mermaids, fairies, princesses, food trucks
<v Speaker 6>and face painters. There you go, there's Jeremi's festival, phone party, slides,
<v Speaker 6>obstacle courses in Unicona, rescue derbies.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, I don't mean to sound like a goatchity soob,
<v Speaker 2>but come on, I cannot be alone in this Monster Day.
<v Speaker 2>I can't be alone in camp no festivals.
<v Speaker 6>Monster Day's family friendly, all things monster in downtown Greeley
<v Speaker 6>Is that blowing your skirt up?
<v Speaker 7>Now?
<v Speaker 3>Have fun, everybody, enjoy all the incredible
<v Speaker 2>Activities this weekend in the Mile High City and beyond.
