[SPEAKER_10]: And I think when you look at this person on the most recent television appearances, you would think, boy, this person's going to live forever.

[SPEAKER_10]: But Dolly Parton passed away today.

[SPEAKER_10]: And it is a...

[SPEAKER_10]: it is a gut punch for all of us in America because we she was part of our culture everybody new dolly everybody like dolly while there were people that didn't like country music but it was hard not to like dolly part and it's another example of somebody that I actually had contact with in my career and it is very very sad to lose somebody of that

[SPEAKER_10]: a shocker, too, because they kept it from everybody as it was happening.

[SPEAKER_10]: I give them a big salute for that that they were keeping.

[SPEAKER_10]: I see, you know, when a celebrity goes and there's a long illness and you hear about that, it's a drag and the thing that was interesting is the way they released the news

[SPEAKER_10]: that they did it that way.

[SPEAKER_10]: It was very, very strange.

[SPEAKER_10]: But yeah, we'll have the details in the news that after an illness, a dolly part in at the age of 80 passed away.

[SPEAKER_10]: And it sucks, Rob, Spuac, there.

[SPEAKER_10]: I just wanted to get the news out first before I defer to you.

[SPEAKER_09]: I was talking today with my mom, and we were trying to come up with another current celebrity that no one has an axe to grind with.

[SPEAKER_09]: there's nobody that is as universally loved as dolly that is art that's what we came away from it was that I mean and she used her powers for good she donated so much money to charity without even seeking recognition for it and might you left out something really important wonderful entertainer great singer beloved awesome theme park owner

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, and we have a couple of comments in there that you know a PD sway we get that you can mock death Shut the fuck up for just a second.

[SPEAKER_10]: All right.

[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, it's like the theme park going to go away, but she had two things I really love shut up.

[SPEAKER_10]: Anyway, sometimes they tell the commenters to shut up.

[SPEAKER_09]: It's understandable and you know what anyone who wants to make fun of.

[SPEAKER_09]: Dolly, I will say this too soon.

[SPEAKER_10]: Well, of course it is.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think that there's a line that's used in shop business that is know the room.

[SPEAKER_10]: Did anybody know the room better than Dahlie?

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't think so.

[SPEAKER_09]: No.

[SPEAKER_09]: You can't think of someone that could effortlessly work the Grand Ole Opry or the David Letterman show with equal skill.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_09]: And

[SPEAKER_10]: could be the sex symbol yeah but be so disarming that yeah you looked at her and you went that well how looking at her but at the same time you put that away really quickly too because she her personality was so overwhelming here and she and she was able well huge and look I mean it was just a I don't know it's I can't

[SPEAKER_10]: begin to go on with Dolly with that just saying she could play anything.

[SPEAKER_10]: She could be a, she was a film star.

[SPEAKER_10]: She was a country music star.

[SPEAKER_10]: She was a pop star.

[SPEAKER_10]: She was iconic.

[SPEAKER_10]: But she knew all that.

[SPEAKER_10]: She was herself.

[SPEAKER_10]: She's her soulmate, genuine.

[SPEAKER_10]: Genuine and that is what is so rare in a lot of showbiz.

[SPEAKER_10]: Even the people that might make you think they're genuine,

[SPEAKER_10]: you kind of know in your heart of hearts that they're not.

[SPEAKER_10]: And look, when it comes to Dolly,

[SPEAKER_10]: the management of the image was spectacular, that we know how she, you know, painted herself up and nobody really knew the private life of dolly.

[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, she was legendarily secretive about the relationship.

[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, even with her husband, but beyond that, there were rumors about it all the time that the kind of an open relationship.

[SPEAKER_09]: But it's like nobody cared she kind of addressed it by not addressing it.

[SPEAKER_09]: It was just it was you know

[SPEAKER_09]: she was bigger than show business in so many ways and one of my favorite quotes uh... rob mayor posted today on facebook and it was without any sort of you know accreditation but is what she said she says i don't mind being called a dumb blonde because i'm not dumb and by the way i'm not blonde either so it's just that's the way they handle it i mean that you can't be that

[SPEAKER_10]: And I can say, I don't have my picture.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think it's up in Maine.

[SPEAKER_10]: One of my really, one of the ones I've always held onto from when I was a baby.

[SPEAKER_10]: I was, I believe I was in my 20s when I had the opportunity to interview Dolly Parton.

[SPEAKER_10]: And it was, she cemented my opinion that I still hold today, that artists in that genre, at least back in the day,

[SPEAKER_10]: uh... the country community the country uh... artists were so good to radio and they were so good to all the people at the little stations as well as the big stations and i was on a little bity station they service them i mean that's it was really uh... and and i remember uh... her stature she was

[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, she was a tiny woman and she didn't appear to be a tiny woman when you would see her on TV.

[SPEAKER_10]: And then what I remember it was just in the brief, the charisma and the kindness.

[SPEAKER_10]: What it came right out of her.

[SPEAKER_10]: She was very, very cool.

[SPEAKER_09]: I had to guess on this.

[SPEAKER_09]: But when you were at that country station was she promoting this record.

[SPEAKER_09]: The one that has here you come again on it.

[SPEAKER_10]: Was that the one it was 1977 or maybe no I had no that would not have been that that would not have been 77 no that would have been uh that would have been uh that would have been after 19 let me see with the cops that would have been after 81 that would have been after 1981

[SPEAKER_09]: The copyright on this is, and I have to get out of my cell.

[SPEAKER_10]: Like 8283, something like that.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's what it would have been.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's when I went out.

[SPEAKER_09]: This is seven.

[SPEAKER_09]: That album came out in 77.

[SPEAKER_09]: I know it's a first press, because it doesn't have a UPC code on it.

[SPEAKER_09]: It predates that.

[SPEAKER_09]: But that's when she had the, here you come again.

[SPEAKER_09]: I guess that was her first sort of crossover he hit.

[SPEAKER_10]: Maybe.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't really know.

[SPEAKER_10]: I know that it was hit after hit after hit.

[SPEAKER_10]: And then I think the entire nation discovered her as an actress in nine to five.

[SPEAKER_10]: And that's the first big movie right?

[SPEAKER_10]: And then there was the best little horror house in Texas.

[SPEAKER_09]: Ryan Stone.

[SPEAKER_09]: She made with Sylvester Stallone, which was a bad Stallone movie, but she looked great in it.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, it was just it was it's again, it's a kick in the gut for people because you don't realize how much a celebrity means, but the thing that was cool at least the way I felt about her was that, you know, I think you put it that way that she would always do good she was always doing good somewhere.

[SPEAKER_09]: and not to call attention to herself.

[SPEAKER_10]: She just did good.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's what she liked to do.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think if I can intellectualize it, I would describe it as she, I wanna put this the right way.

[SPEAKER_10]: We as a country felt good about her being famous.

[SPEAKER_10]: where I don't know if we do that with most celebrities with most celebrities we like to you know you always say you like to build them up and tear them down we didn't like to tear dolly down we didn't want we wouldn't have wanted to tear dolly down you like having dolly on that person having a theme park and having movies and film film and records and all I think the only other celebrity who we love that we elevated is Jason Bateman.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't have any extra grind with Jason Beatman.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't think at all.

[SPEAKER_10]: I like, well, I've listened to his podcast.

[SPEAKER_09]: He's a little dickie on the podcast, I think.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's the whole.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's his act.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's not his with his, his voice.

[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you know what, find a better act, but doesn't make you a dickie.

[SPEAKER_10]: I was in a hotel lobby.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know what the circumstances were.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I was hanging out with the lesser Dylan brother.

[SPEAKER_10]: The one that was on the one that was not on to rise.

[SPEAKER_10]: Kevin doing and there were a couple other fringe L.A. guys right and I became aware of the you know We always used to say men in their douchebag 30s.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah

[SPEAKER_10]: 20s and 30s, I'll include that.

[SPEAKER_10]: And that that dooshed them.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think really does float around Hollywood a lot.

[SPEAKER_10]: So we can't see something like COVID really.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think when you get somebody like Dolly Parton, it's the rarity of that kind of personality to just blast through all of that.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I think what it seems to me that stars that do really, really well,

[SPEAKER_10]: where you're not really taking shots at them, are stars that protect their privacy.

[SPEAKER_10]: with, you know, ferociously.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I believe she ferociously protected her privacy.

[SPEAKER_10]: As soon as you cross the rubicon of letting people know where you're going and who's party you're at, you know, diminishes you as a slut.

[SPEAKER_10]: It makes people the population kind of go, oh, God.

[SPEAKER_09]: I did it with Martin Short, who I adore when we were looking at Martin Short only having celebrities, friend, his parties.

[SPEAKER_10]: I kind of went, well, well, there's Tom Hanks and Martin Short doing stick.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, the privacy is cool and also the fact that it was common knowledge, but she didn't beat this horse, that she came from literally nothing.

[SPEAKER_10]: Oh literally not absolute hillbilly and that's I mean the code of many colors.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's a true story.

[SPEAKER_08]: And that's why she has the work ethic, the concept of work ethic.

[SPEAKER_08]: It says that she put up for nine studio albums and nine hundred and fifty six unique songs.

[SPEAKER_08]: So not cover and not those those are numbers that are like, or alternates.

[SPEAKER_09]: Those are numbers like Elvis Presley.

[SPEAKER_09]: I mean that's huge.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's an amazing amount of product.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I think you have to, you have to look at the individual.

[SPEAKER_10]: And if you're wondering why we are spending so much time talking about Dahlia's because I am fascinated by her ability to do what she did, which I think if you could create,

[SPEAKER_10]: a celebrity primer.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think you would include, um, keep your private life as private as you possibly can, you know, just give them what the, what the image is.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's what you want.

[SPEAKER_10]: That's the, the thing you want.

[SPEAKER_10]: Because if you go on a show,

[SPEAKER_10]: radio show television show any kind of show and you bring the persona that got you famous or the character that got you famous you're always gonna leave appreciated I give John Madden credit for that when it would come on the Donna Mike show and John Madden would always be John Madden the John Madden that was on you know on on the telecast for the NFL

[SPEAKER_10]: And then another factor, I think another box you have to check, I don't think we ever heard about Dolly, you know, stumbling down a street after a late night party, right, kept it all private, kept it all private.

[SPEAKER_10]: I have no idea.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know whether she was a T-T-T-T-T-T-O-L-R-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O-N-O

[SPEAKER_09]: It could be we have no idea we have no idea because all we think of when we think of her is hey Great actress great music great person.

[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, he's identity.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_10]: He'll still on that spot as it is on the road again

[SPEAKER_10]: when you when you think about that so you didn't have that factor and then I'm like what else is it that makes a dolly part and that makes a beloved person that much I think you have to be when you make that kind of money you get into a public trust situation where she goes and starts dolly wood but dolly wood isn't simply a money making opportunity for her it's a chance to go and and put this business

[SPEAKER_10]: in the Smoky Mountains, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where she is going to revitalize the economy, and bring the business in it, and bring the business in.

[SPEAKER_09]: And I talk to more than one or two people that are theme park people, people that are in the business of theme parkery.

[SPEAKER_09]: And they go to Dollywood, and they say, Disney could learn from this.

[SPEAKER_09]: It is so clean, so well-run, and such a

[SPEAKER_09]: And she was part of all of the development of it.

[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, if something was sold there or a ride, she signed off on it.

[SPEAKER_09]: She approved it.

[SPEAKER_09]: And you're right.

[SPEAKER_09]: Her home motivation was to business-wise, revitalize that area.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's a noble cause.

[SPEAKER_10]: And here's another thing.

[SPEAKER_10]: I would say, well, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_10]: You hear about legendary pricks, Steve Win, out of Vegas, where there was an a detail he didn't manage.

[SPEAKER_10]: putting his hand on the boob of the person they cut his hair.

[SPEAKER_10]: Right, that kind.

[SPEAKER_10]: But remember, you would always hear that.

[SPEAKER_10]: Or you hear, this is my team.

[SPEAKER_10]: I have a great team.

[SPEAKER_10]: You didn't even know what the duck was dolly going through and meticulously picking the color schemes of the different rides and all.

[SPEAKER_10]: You know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_10]: You don't know that because that was guarded as well.

[SPEAKER_10]: Which is cool.

[SPEAKER_08]: I had a lot of her family.

[SPEAKER_08]: So a lot of people she already was close with and trusted.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: And they had, they just, you couldn't,

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_10]: If you could write a book about how to how to do it.

[SPEAKER_10]: BC Travis says Dolly was nice to everyone and never smeared anyone, but also wasn't complimentary about horrible people.

[SPEAKER_10]: That is a bingo right there.

[SPEAKER_10]: But that's okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: Travis, that's okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: You didn't, she didn't want to, you know, she didn't want to, she had the confidence where

[SPEAKER_10]: Unlike me, she didn't have to pop off about everything that, you know, she wanted everybody to know what her opinions were about all that.

[SPEAKER_09]: And you don't have something nice to say.

[SPEAKER_09]: Don't say nothing at all.

[SPEAKER_10]: Well, yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I think there are people that the vast majority of us I could include myself in that make careers out of criticism and careers out of opinion about different pop culture

[SPEAKER_10]: But boy, boy, when you got that, you know, that foundation, which was the music.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, no mistake about that.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think at the core of Dolly Parton, the songwriting ability, just amazing.

[SPEAKER_10]: So we've got a little dolly that we can share with you right now.

[SPEAKER_09]: Wow, it makes me, I mean, literally, it makes me a little misty to see it, because there are so many people that can sing, and there are so many fine singers, but there are not many voices that are distinctive and powerful and just dead on.

[SPEAKER_09]: I'd say Julie Andrews in her prime was one, but I will also say that clip of Dolly part and seeing is essentially a novelty song with a cheap guitar.

[SPEAKER_10]: They wrote it the night before, she was that sound.

[SPEAKER_10]: But she sounds so cool.

[SPEAKER_10]: She was her spot.

[SPEAKER_10]: That was great.

[SPEAKER_10]: And that's interesting.

[SPEAKER_10]: You bring that up, Jack.

[SPEAKER_10]: Because that's when I mentioned Composure.

[SPEAKER_10]: Because she is on national television live.

[SPEAKER_10]: And she's just the ultimate confident performer, which, you know,

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't talk about this a lot, but I think that when you talk about a lot, so many artists that were, you know, just fraught with substance abuse problems, a lot of that fear came from

[SPEAKER_10]: stage fright yep where you know when you have to go out and do these venues even if you're an experience performer it's still the grind that maybe you do it for but you look at something another country performer like a George Jones who was terribly shy and stats.

[SPEAKER_09]: I think it's prevalent especially in early days of country music because the the dives were horrible that they'd have to play.

[SPEAKER_10]: And they should be screwed up and it would be loaded and it would be an Elvis Presley, the greatest example of all of somebody that, you know, was so felt like they needed it.

[SPEAKER_10]: They had to have that to go on there and, you know, it's just, it's an idea of any more of a video of.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't, I plug those two clips, Rob.

[SPEAKER_08]: I know you just did this with Elvis.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_09]: She's aging, and I feel bad about that in retrospect.

[SPEAKER_09]: But even though she was aging, she looked like a damn good 80 year old.

[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, and she was still out there.

[SPEAKER_09]: She saw her not a year ago,

[SPEAKER_09]: welcoming the audience and talking to the audience for her Broadway show.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_09]: Remember that?

[SPEAKER_09]: She was on stage on Broadway killing it.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's less than a year ago.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, that's uh, and I don't know.

[SPEAKER_10]: And uh, if the the way the family plays it, we probably we may never know.

[SPEAKER_10]: What the uh, what the details were, you know, you get sick when you're 80.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's a lot different than when you get sick.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's 50.

[SPEAKER_10]: So you don't know what's going to happen.

[SPEAKER_10]: And just to get off this Dolly Parton morning situation that we're in right now.

[SPEAKER_10]: As far as getting older, I wrote this down today because once again it showed up on my algorithm and I wanted to share this with all of you.

[SPEAKER_10]: No, no, but I watched a great bear knuckle one.

[SPEAKER_10]: I think there's some from only gold league three rounds.

[SPEAKER_09]: You know, it's really fun like their brutal rounds.

[SPEAKER_09]: And they're not going to really focus on this, but it was bear knuckle boxing that killed Dolly Parton.

[SPEAKER_10]: Before she became a pop star, she was a bear knuckle man.

[SPEAKER_09]: Those injuries linger, man.

[SPEAKER_10]: So I'm trying to think over

[SPEAKER_10]: over the last few months.

[SPEAKER_10]: I've gotten this on my feet.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's a doctor that comes on and it's the same when I saw like just the other day where she talks about the five things that old people in doctors or offices when they see them, the signs that they are not

[SPEAKER_10]: that they will have a higher mortality rate than other old people.

[SPEAKER_10]: One of them was you're walking speed.

[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: So you're gait.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: When you're going from pointed to point pay, I am killer at that.

[SPEAKER_10]: I do really, really well.

[SPEAKER_10]: I outlocked my wife,

[SPEAKER_09]: when we're going into a door, when you read this, when you read this, initially, it was probably written for people to watch out for other people, but you initially, oh, I haven't internalized it.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that's okay.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's good.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's good.

[SPEAKER_09]: And I might not remember the first.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: Even with all the outdoor activity I do, it's not real cardiovascular activity.

[SPEAKER_10]: Golfing is getting in a card going out there, and I don't walk a lot of golf courses.

[SPEAKER_09]: You do a lot of steps though, I bet.

[SPEAKER_10]: You have a ton of steps.

[SPEAKER_09]: And that's really, I mean, so many nowadays, so many doctors say, cardio is important, but steps are just as important, just getting out there and moving.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: I should have written them down.

[SPEAKER_09]: Was it memory?

[SPEAKER_10]: No.

[SPEAKER_10]: Shut up.

[SPEAKER_09]: Speaking of old people and doctor's offices, the reason we're recording late today is I had to go to a doctor's office.

[SPEAKER_10]: Are we going to be able to get a report on your doctor's visit?

[SPEAKER_10]: Can we do that when we come back?

[SPEAKER_10]: If you want, it's very boring, but if it's boring, that means you're healthy.

[SPEAKER_10]: We don't care.

[SPEAKER_10]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_09]: It was a follow-up on the infection I had.

[SPEAKER_09]: And so they were checking that out.

[SPEAKER_09]: The guy in front of me, this old man with his old wife, when I'm waiting just to check in.

[SPEAKER_09]: And I want to be on time so I can get out on time and get here and do the show.

[SPEAKER_09]: He says, well, he said to come back in two weeks.

[SPEAKER_09]: And he said the receptionist said, well, he's not in office two weeks from today.

[SPEAKER_09]: We can do two days after that.

[SPEAKER_09]: He said,

[SPEAKER_09]: Well, that's longer than two weeks and then he points to his wife and said, and she's got an examination across the street that day, hold on and he opens up some little bag that he has with him and pulls out a full desk size calendar.

[SPEAKER_09]: Like a 12 by 18 inch calendar and he's flipping through every day has something written on it.

[SPEAKER_09]: And what if we did Friday?

[SPEAKER_09]: No, no, I've got to go for the other doctor on that day.

[SPEAKER_09]: And that's it.

[SPEAKER_10]: Was he obviously, uh, were there medical issues?

[SPEAKER_10]: No.

[SPEAKER_10]: Because when it was done here to be infirm, didn't know.

[SPEAKER_09]: And he escaped.

[SPEAKER_09]: His gate was fantastic.

[SPEAKER_09]: And he looked at me as he was leaving.

[SPEAKER_09]: He said, I'm real sorry that I held you up.

[SPEAKER_09]: But as you get older, there's

[SPEAKER_09]: And I just wanted to say you know what you got to get pal and iPhone because you can put them all on your phone and it's easy as pie But I mean Mike there were post-its and there was a pen clip to this calendar and he was a no-no No, that won't do and then the wife says

[SPEAKER_09]: I could reschedule the cardiology of course he was there with his mommy.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, of course they're always there with their mommy.

[SPEAKER_08]: Join the head drive, yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: You know what?

[SPEAKER_10]: I am so happy that I don't do things with my mommy and toe because there's so many people to do.

[SPEAKER_10]: So getting back, I don't remember the other ones but the last one and I wrote this down.

[SPEAKER_10]: Something I have to train for.

[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_10]: And um, are you excited about this?

[SPEAKER_10]: No.

[SPEAKER_10]: because we've talked about it before on the show and it's all right.

[SPEAKER_10]: You can't do either.

[SPEAKER_10]: What's that?

[SPEAKER_10]: And this is they say that one of the best signs of an older person that is going to have good longevity is someone that is able to get up off the floor.

[SPEAKER_10]: without using their hands and arms.

[SPEAKER_10]: They can get up with, they can just get up off the floor without having to support themselves with it.

[SPEAKER_10]: I am not, I haven't, I don't know how long I haven't been there.

[SPEAKER_10]: I certainly, when I was carrying a lot more weight, I wasn't able to do that.

[SPEAKER_09]: But I am sitting there saying to myself, does it count as someone helps you, but you still don't use your arms?

[SPEAKER_10]: No, like I was working in the kitchen.

[SPEAKER_10]: We have a little closet off the kitchen.

[SPEAKER_10]: They call it a little pantry.

[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_10]: And the pantry, uh, when Michael was little, there's no long this, uh, shelf has been damaged.

[SPEAKER_10]: He stepped up.

[SPEAKER_10]: on one of the pantry shelves.

[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, and you used it for a ladder.

[SPEAKER_10]: It tore away from the wall.

[SPEAKER_10]: And we have never Josh at was Michael who did that.

[SPEAKER_10]: And, well, I'm too tired.

[SPEAKER_10]: I can get to the top of the pantry.

[SPEAKER_10]: I'm fine with that.

[SPEAKER_10]: Shut up.

[SPEAKER_09]: And then, I thought with your cathedral seal,

[SPEAKER_10]: I'm down, did you just like, not on yourself or something?

[SPEAKER_09]: No, it was a little spit.

[SPEAKER_10]: And so I'm down, like, I'm the floor.

[SPEAKER_10]: All the work is down, it's about seven inches between the last shelf and the floor.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I got to go in and the shelving is attached by a screw to the bracket that is also attached to a wall anchor to go in and I got to go in and redo all of them.

[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, horrible.

[SPEAKER_10]: I am flat on the floor and then, you know, when A, I would extricate myself from underneath this seven inches, and then B get to the back into and you go, oh, you got to sort of be, you can do it by practicing by getting up on your knees, getting from the floor to your knees, which is not easy.

[SPEAKER_10]: I urge all senior citizens to give this a try.

[SPEAKER_10]: I don't think there are a lot of senior citizens over the age of 65, 70 that are able to pull this off unless you're a real featherweight.

[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to add this to the morning exercises of the cruise.

[SPEAKER_09]: It was somehow it was just low-key and classy and business-like, and it was without, you know, it was just, there was no hype, there was no nonsense with it.

[SPEAKER_09]: It just made me feel like they were prepared for this.

[SPEAKER_08]: And that's the thing, it looked too prepared.

[SPEAKER_08]: Like, maybe Dahlia proved this ahead of us.

[SPEAKER_10]: No, she, she, that's the very first thing he says.

[SPEAKER_10]: This she doesn't need to do that.

[SPEAKER_10]: And I'm not sure what the relative, maybe a nephew, I'm not sure.

[SPEAKER_08]: So she could still be alive.

[SPEAKER_10]: And well, you know how we feel about Dolly and safe home during

[SPEAKER_09]: You reminded me of something that I should have mentioned earlier.

[SPEAKER_09]: The song I will always love you.

[SPEAKER_09]: She wrote and submitted it to Elvis Presley.

[SPEAKER_09]: She wanted Elvis to record that song, wrote it in his range and in his style.

[SPEAKER_09]: And she didn't realize that at that point in Elvis's career, if he took a song from an outside writer, he'd want the publishing.

[SPEAKER_09]: It was his deal.

[SPEAKER_09]: I'll record your song.

[SPEAKER_09]: It was a Colonel's deal actually, but you have to give me the publishing.

[SPEAKER_09]: So she told the song was.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, so she declined that and Elvis never recorded it.

[SPEAKER_09]: But if you listen to that song, the Whitney version or her version, that really could be an Elvis song.

[SPEAKER_09]: Well, his big voice is when not his rock and roll voice, not his like low sexy voice, but his big voice like if you almost operatic, you can hear it a little bit in the song surrender.
