[SPEAKER_06]: No, I mean, one of the reasons we listen to comedy all the way down to Florida is because it makes the time of life.

[SPEAKER_06]: And one of the reasons people stack this show for, you know, eight hour drives is because, you know, it keeps some company.

[SPEAKER_06]: But as you were talking, I was reflecting on down here in Cocoonville, right, and Midwestern Cocoonville where the joke they love Indiana South Mike that that I've been told like 11 times now that is so inappropriate that I can't share it with you here.

[SPEAKER_06]: And they just love it because it's got all the elements

[SPEAKER_06]: Can you even give the punch line without being able to elements, it involves the Kardashians, right?

[SPEAKER_06]: And a golf ball.

[SPEAKER_06]: It could be there's a golfer right so there's a golfer and he has his regular Saturday For some and this guy is It's an all business.

[SPEAKER_06]: He doesn't pay attention to anybody else He doesn't engage anybody else in conversation and he doesn't because he likes to play fast

[SPEAKER_06]: he likes to get his rounds right fast fast fast and and so he's playing golf with his buddies and he's an old guy he's been at it a long time and he rarely says anything and they finally get to the 17th green and and the 17th green is a whole that is right next to the main drag the main route that goes through town.

[SPEAKER_06]: And they're sitting there and the guy, you know, just playing his usual fast round.

[SPEAKER_06]: And suddenly, a funeral possession goes by.

[SPEAKER_06]: And they're on the left and the guy stops.

[SPEAKER_06]: Like right in the middle of his put, he stops and he takes off his hat.

[SPEAKER_06]: And he waits till the elast car, the hurts of the funeral possession goes by first.

[SPEAKER_06]: But he waits till the last car goes by.

[SPEAKER_06]: This is like 11 minutes in large huge possession.

[SPEAKER_06]: and one of his playing partners is just stunned by this and he said let me ask you a question why would you possibly stop in the middle of playing one of the fastest plays you never pay attention to anything and take your hat off and watch that funeral procession go by this is while I should I was married to her for 18 years

[SPEAKER_06]: because it's that turbo funk of pug that just permeates concentrated vacuum cleaner.

[SPEAKER_07]: What it is, it's concentrated pugdander and the air from the vacuum blows through the filter through the pugdander and shoots it into the sky.

[SPEAKER_06]: Where you in hell it that you can eat so yeah, she said come over here and smell this vacuum I said that's like pug ass.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's what that is that's it.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's and you can't there's nothing all the disinfectants All that you could you could put a pine tree air fresheners down inside of that thing forever and it wouldn't take Pug Funk out of the fog.

[SPEAKER_06]: And by the way, I bought that vacuum cleaner.

[SPEAKER_06]: It was a shark and it was so Carla goes to the the mart and she's going to pick herself up a dyson because she heard that they were on sale.

[SPEAKER_06]: And so she sees the the sale price that is like,

[SPEAKER_06]: two hundred and twenty nine dollars or something for this this really really nice vacuum cleaner and uh and then she sees a sticker on it says a hundred nine nine dollars and then she takes it to the uh counter at Walmart and the counter rings it up as like two hundred and forty five two hundred and fifty dollars.

[SPEAKER_06]: Oh look out probably.

[SPEAKER_06]: And she says, no, I saw this and she said, uh, and she gets a cashier who's really not into being a cashier and really not into doing any serious problem solving, which, by the way, consumers, a consumer tip from Michael Merida, you if you find a cashier like that, you have the advantage.

[SPEAKER_06]: Of course, they don't care.

[SPEAKER_06]: Then never, never underestimate the, uh, the apathy of the retail worker because that's a way to get to the customer.

[SPEAKER_06]: it's a win for the country if you if they're not if they're not you know if they really don't care so much as they might have apathy and they just want to be mean to you that's right a different story and it's up but this person just didn't care and Carlos says uh well i had i had one ninety nine i thought it was one ninety nine that's the uh the price of the stand i don't understand and and immediately the cashier uh says i'll get my manager and gets the mail manager

[SPEAKER_06]: 35, 40 issue mail manager comes over something wrong here Dennis comes over with his bow tie and Carla gives him the the baby browns and says, well, she rang it up as 240 but the price on it was 299 he doesn't go to the scanner.

[SPEAKER_06]: He doesn't go to either.

[SPEAKER_06]: He says he looks at Carla with kind of like a little little smirk on his face and

[SPEAKER_06]: just ringing up is $199.

[SPEAKER_06]: She's in the car.

[SPEAKER_06]: She's out there.

[SPEAKER_06]: Bingo.

[SPEAKER_06]: How often does that happen?

[SPEAKER_07]: Does that happen with a fat ass?

[SPEAKER_06]: He has Thousands I think he was in some customer relations field he had to be he I

[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what he does, right?

[SPEAKER_06]: Because he's a old school guy, kind of a corporate guy, and he's funny.

[SPEAKER_06]: And he just tells good jokes and he's just he's just pleasant to be around.

[SPEAKER_06]: And he had a change in meds that caused him to really like dehydrate over heat, get dizzy, he was in really rough shape.

[SPEAKER_06]: So much so that last week, they pulled the ambulance up.

[SPEAKER_06]: People down here that this my generation, you know, which is not the greatest generation where, you know, there were more stairs that were just like, and they're all like looking and, you know, very few people were coming up and say, hey, I hope you do okay.

[SPEAKER_07]: You might not be the greatest, but I think you're top five generation.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's like I went in and I get top five.

[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you very much covers like this on So I go by and say Greg I hope you're okay, and he didn't even acknowledge he's I was worried about Lost all this color and he this is legit and they took him and then like a day later He was back out and I'm like, oh, thank God, but you don't get updates on it's just that's the way people are I move

[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, hold on, so he, so this guy is, you know, we've, we're very different politically.

[SPEAKER_06]: He knows that he acknowledges that in a very funny way and we have lots of conversations together.

[SPEAKER_06]: He said, hey, they ran some tests.

[SPEAKER_06]: It turns out I'm on this heart medicine that they said that was probably the reason.

[SPEAKER_06]: And his line was, well, you know, Mike, it's always better to be seen than viewed.

[SPEAKER_03]: used to kind of in 25 don't know what's making all the wrong decisions right man I don't play the I don't play golf.

[SPEAKER_03]: But it also probably has a lot to do with the fact that that point hooters in Arizona Was sponsoring a lot of these charity golf tournaments, right and they always put would put a hooters girl in your cart with you So I'm sure all the guys like what I never do

[SPEAKER_03]: I want to picture if there's any EMS and that's of a reaction on the course, is there a special cart that comes and picks up a friend that does not ruin the green?

[SPEAKER_03]: Or do you drive the person back to the clubhouse?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, you never can drive on the green ever.

[SPEAKER_06]: No, there's not a special car that they mau the greens and they have a equipment that that maintains the green.

[SPEAKER_03]: Did you have to set up the music for the next hour or the next shift of the DJ coming in for you after...

[SPEAKER_03]: It was courtesy.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was courtesy, right?

[SPEAKER_07]: Like you would stack the hour or two hours or four hours of music that was... And even when we go back to the dotted mic show when we weren't playing music per se, I would always stack out the spots for the next person.

[SPEAKER_07]: But the commercials.

[SPEAKER_07]: You set up the next hour, but it was, it was a nonverbal, but it's understood as you did exactly.

[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, Litty never did it for us.

[SPEAKER_06]: I was explaining that.

[SPEAKER_06]: That was Litty's producer's fault.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's true.

[SPEAKER_06]: And that's odd.

[SPEAKER_06]: Who was very, very strange that that man would not be industrialized.

[SPEAKER_03]: Manuel Weber, when you're in the music world, did you ever have to do that?

[SPEAKER_03]: Might get the records ready for the next hour and the next shift?

[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_06]: Then more of the spots than the rest.

[SPEAKER_06]: But I remember stacking tape cartridges for the next guy.

[SPEAKER_06]: I remember doing that so remember having to do that and that was that was kind of what you were supposed to.

[SPEAKER_03]: After almost three years of marriage this morning Shannon asked me how I know all these songs from I would say the late 90s or the 2000s not just because I live them but what the songs are called and I said because artists and titles.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because when you're on the rate, when you're baby DJ, half of your time is spent like stacking the arts and title and finding where on the CD, when the CD's revival, what track number, and then you actually have a visual representation in your head.

[SPEAKER_03]: And remember, and she's like, why would you have to do some other, like another person's work for them?

[SPEAKER_03]: I said, it's not a lot of work.

[SPEAKER_07]: You're just pulling CDs off a wall, or if she's wondering why someone has to do someone else's work, she's worked with Pony for a long time.

[SPEAKER_03]: She doesn't understand that.

[SPEAKER_03]: But she was so lost in her, and like out of the world, how music used to work because it wasn't always Spotify and Apple music or podcasts that I sent to myself.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is not even worth explaining.

[SPEAKER_03]: I imagine Mike, you feel that when I just said, is there an ambulance cart that goes out and picks up some of the things that I'm talking about.

[SPEAKER_06]: Simply because the grains are sacred.

[SPEAKER_06]: As far as our playing field, that's the, that's what sacred.

[SPEAKER_06]: And they've, I've been at multiple courses where people took stuff out on like late at night and vandalize grains.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's one of the things that, you do that.

[SPEAKER_06]: And one of the worst things you can do on a golf course.

[SPEAKER_06]: is if you are driving the golf cart close to the green and like you'll see it because there people still do it down here like look at that guy and he'll see a cart two feet off the green driving around you know where he shouldn't be so that's it that's all but I mean you're not supposed to.
