[SPEAKER_04]: Josh Rooka.
[SPEAKER_04]: And Rob Speedway.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's only the beginning.
[SPEAKER_08]: And now here's Mike.
[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon, every buddy.
[SPEAKER_08]: Welcome to the Michael Mary's Show for a Wednesday.
[SPEAKER_08]: You might notice that I'm wearing my specs today.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: We got some small print here for our very first guest.
[SPEAKER_08]: We're closing out September and we wanted to get serious for a second because September is National Suicide Prevention Month and I think it's important and we all decided it was important to have a conversation that that's important to everyone and probably in some way or another everybody's been touched by it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's welcome Cynthia V. Catching.
[SPEAKER_08]: She is a licensed
[SPEAKER_08]: She's a therapist, she is an educator, she is an author and mental health expert.
[SPEAKER_08]: She has more than 15 years of experience in the field and Cynthia is a long-time therapist and a clinical expert with talk space.
[SPEAKER_08]: She's also the founder and executive director of the Women's Emotional Wellness Center and an adjunct professor of social work.
[SPEAKER_08]: Her work is taken around the world and focuses on everything from depression, anxiety, trauma,
[SPEAKER_08]: family, violence, stress, and helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
[SPEAKER_08]: I simply thank you so much for coming on the Michael Maris Show today.
[SPEAKER_08]: We truly appreciate you taking the time to talk about this very serious issue.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you for coming on.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you very much.
[SPEAKER_08]: We'll get right to it because we were setting this up with discussing some of our celebrity deaths that really impacted us and mine was Robin Williams who took his own life and since this is the end of September and September was suicide prevention month we thought it was a good conversation to have you've obviously in your career come across some very, very difficult situations.
[SPEAKER_08]: for the first question I would have is a very it's not a gotcha question but it's a very general question because I would wonder in the realm if you're somebody that's cruising through life and you don't have anybody that you're particularly worried about what uh...
[SPEAKER_08]: What are some of the signs you should look for if somebody that's close to you and you might not have a clue that they're in trouble, but they're in trouble, what's the first thing one would observe?
[SPEAKER_08]: What would you look for?
[SPEAKER_12]: So, it's such an important question that I get asked frequently.
[SPEAKER_12]: Number one, I think it's that changing patterns every time that we have someone close to us that is maybe not wanting to interact as much, not being a social, maybe
[SPEAKER_12]: seeming a little sad or withdrawn.
[SPEAKER_12]: That is the number one thing.
[SPEAKER_12]: Second clue that we see many times is people actually giving away their important belongings or saying I would like to give you this when your reality comes out of nowhere.
[SPEAKER_12]: And number three is actually talking about it because sometimes they're more open.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is there a scenario that you see more often than others?
[SPEAKER_08]: I know it probably varies in different age groups, but is there one type of person that you can spot right away when that person's having some issues that they might be in danger of harming themselves?
[SPEAKER_12]: I would love to have that, to have the ability to find it, but in reality, no.
[SPEAKER_12]: And sometimes this is as sad as it sounds, it can come from children, adolescence adults or older people.
[SPEAKER_12]: And I think that it makes it very difficult sometimes to really see it because some people know what other people are looking for, family members, friends, so they try to hide it.
[SPEAKER_12]: So in reality, we cannot tell each,
[SPEAKER_08]: I was in a situation myself, and I think it's important to be honest about this, and I've never talked about it on this show in my entire career.
[SPEAKER_08]: We've certainly joked about it, but it's going through a divorce, and my second divorce where I had two children, that was a time in my life that I remember.
[SPEAKER_08]: I actually remember, not seriously.
[SPEAKER_08]: But thinking about it, I was like, you know, I am in so much pain right now and I was and I don't I don't talk about it on the show.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was in horrible pain.
[SPEAKER_08]: I wanted my family to stay together.
[SPEAKER_08]: I did.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was the dumping, not the dumpper, and I really, really was in a bad way.
[SPEAKER_08]: I finally had a little moment when I moved out of my house.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I had a moment of, I don't want to call it joy, but happiness when I was able to find a place near them.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I remember there's a ceiling fan in my bedroom, which was on the top of this A-frame.
[SPEAKER_08]: and actually my mind went into this area about with that, with that sustain, with that hold, the weight of an adult, if you were, it was just, it was really, really dark.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was really that desperate.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I think in this day and age, you just never know what series of things can go wrong to push a person to, you know, get serious about that thought process that I didn't really pursue at all.
[SPEAKER_12]: Right.
[SPEAKER_12]: And I'm sorry to hear that because many times in people that we are so close to we cannot really tell that they're going through through something so difficult, but as human beings, I think that all of us at one point or another experience that difficult situation and.
[SPEAKER_12]: Sometimes the difference in between like am I going to do it or is a person going to do it?
[SPEAKER_12]: I think that being close to other people is what did tapes in your case, I want to think that maybe you're thinking about your children or in other cases, maybe people thinking about their family, but the number one thing is being able to cope with that pain because that pain
[SPEAKER_12]: for some people is just get over it or everything will get better and that doesn't work right is when you broke a bone or you cut yourself to an accident and they tell you just deal with it right it hurts it hurts is there's nothing else that you can do so I think that in dealing with depression or with the sense of thinking about suicide we deal with an internal pain that feels as bad and we don't know what to do with it it's not just about
[SPEAKER_12]: get over it.
[SPEAKER_12]: So thinking about maybe what is keeping the person anchored to this world or to the loved ones that they have helps a lot, but at the same time we never know how much is going to affect the pain, the inability to deal with the different emotions.
[SPEAKER_08]: When you say anchored, when you say, keeping that person anchored, how does that manifested itself?
[SPEAKER_08]: How does that work?
[SPEAKER_12]: Keeping the person anchored, I think that we're talking about either doing it individually with the person itself or by other people being closed.
[SPEAKER_12]: So if it is us, maybe sometimes thinking about the possibility we're thinking about, but what if if I do this.
[SPEAKER_12]: But I wouldn't like to hurt my parents or I wouldn't like to hurt my my best friend right so I'm feeling that I encourage that keeps me stay staying here a lot of right in other cases when we have other people close to us and they know that we might be thinking about it maybe we don't have a plan and there's not a specific thing that we have shared that we're going to do the other people around us can be those so.
[SPEAKER_12]: They're angry or those helping people who can actually say, I'm here for you and I'm not going to leave your loan.
[SPEAKER_12]: And that's what that makes a difference.
[SPEAKER_06]: I've got a question in Mike.
[SPEAKER_06]: I really appreciate you bringing that up because I've had similar thoughts to that myself.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, when you just think what if you never take that next step, but that thought does cross your mind and it is obviously a very, it's a drastic step.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's, I mean, there are people that declare bankruptcy and then there are people that fight through, but this is the ultimate declaration of bankruptcy.
[SPEAKER_06]: Is it common for people to have that thought to, I mean, just for it to pop in your brain, even if you don't act on it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Great.
[SPEAKER_08]: I agree with that.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's I'd love to hear the answer to that.
[SPEAKER_08]: What do you think of that question?
[SPEAKER_12]: Absolutely, I agree.
[SPEAKER_12]: It is very common.
[SPEAKER_12]: I want to say normal because we don't know.
[SPEAKER_12]: Normal is different for everybody, right, but very common.
[SPEAKER_12]: And we are going to think about it, right, even sometimes.
[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, you think about the thought of driving, right, and you think, what if, right, what is so much pain, with that maybe, and then it's like, okay, pay attention and continue driving the best way you can, right?
[SPEAKER_12]: same situation can happen to different people.
[SPEAKER_12]: People are going to react in different ways, but I think that it is very, very common.
[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't realize that.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I didn't realize that Mike and I have shared that notion.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think I think we would be, I think do you get the impression that people kind of, it's the last thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm reading our chat group right now that's like that this is fun, they're making fun of it, this is awful.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is a tough
[SPEAKER_08]: tough subject to talk about and people don't like to talk about it and I'm seeing that in the comments and it's interesting to me this is we like to bury it in America we like to hide it we like to say oh I don't even want to talk about that.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's easier to do that than deal with it really.
[SPEAKER_08]: I can understand why but what do you think people are are so passionately
[SPEAKER_08]: reticent to discuss this.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's said I'm getting this right now and it's in real time.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but but I'm sure you're aware that as well, right?
[SPEAKER_12]: Absolutely, and I think that is the fear, right?
[SPEAKER_12]: If I talk about it, it can happen.
[SPEAKER_12]: If I talk about it, I'm going to maybe attract the idea of it.
[SPEAKER_12]: If I think about it, it is going to invite the person to maybe think about it when they hadn't, right?
[SPEAKER_12]: So I think that even a therapist or my colleagues, we talk about it, and we say, how did you ask that question?
[SPEAKER_12]: Right, at the point when you're dealing maybe with a child or with an adult, how do you bring up the question and making sure that is as careful as we can, but we need to talk about the topic about the subject.
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to mention children because that, of course, now, my life is very, very full.
[SPEAKER_08]: And interestingly, my life coincided with the less money I make, the happier I seem to be, which is weird.
[SPEAKER_08]: But I do have a 13 year old, I'm an older father, and I think,
[SPEAKER_08]: I just, it terrifies me, the world that's out there and when you hear cyber bullying and you hear the pressures of school and my son, you might describe him as over scheduled, you know, he broadcasts a football game, he's on a baseball team, he's on a golf team and he's just go, go, go.
[SPEAKER_08]: I worry about that is the, tell me how to help.
[SPEAKER_08]: What do I look for, what can it, what can
[SPEAKER_12]: I think this is being involved, right?
[SPEAKER_12]: And you mentioned in this case that your son is overactive, maybe like doing so many, so many things, having different activities.
[SPEAKER_12]: So what I mean by being involved is talking to them.
[SPEAKER_12]: I think that especially children and teenagers nowadays with all the technology that we have,
[SPEAKER_12]: And maybe the extra curricular activities, that's sometimes we sign them up for a dozen allowed at time or they closed that door to actually communicate it with us.
[SPEAKER_12]: So, being involved means maybe looking for those activities that they enjoy, but asking, what is it that you like doing with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to do it with me or if you want to
[SPEAKER_12]: If we see that they are having fun, that they're laughing, we can repeat the activity, try to do a little bit more about it, try to talk, even if they don't want to, they avoid it sometimes because they don't want to share their feelings, sometimes they do not, they do not know how, but if we constantly say, I'm here for you, we're having fun, we are, I don't know, having an ice cream, we're doing something that opens up the door at one point.
[SPEAKER_06]: I think also it's great Mike that you no longer live in an A-frame.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, this is a shape.
[SPEAKER_08]: I understand.
[SPEAKER_08]: I understand.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was the shape of the house.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was one of those seeders.
[SPEAKER_08]: It shut up.
[SPEAKER_08]: We're just having a good time.
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to ask a question.
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to mention we're talking to Cynthia Hastin.
[SPEAKER_08]: Catchings, not Hastings.
[SPEAKER_08]: Cynthia V. Catching is a social worker therapist, clinical social worker, and educator and author, and we're talking about.
[SPEAKER_08]: the the month that is wrapping up on suicide prevention month.
[SPEAKER_08]: Go ahead, Rob, I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_06]: I know that at least in my observation the past 20, 25 years mental health has become more of a concern that people can take care of themselves.
[SPEAKER_06]: And it doesn't have the stigma that was once attached to it, not that long ago, where, you know, oh my god, he's crazy, leave him alone.
[SPEAKER_06]: He's beyond help.
[SPEAKER_06]: medications for mood have been more common and people I think are more eager or at least more likely to talk about their feelings.
[SPEAKER_06]: Has that helped in suicide prevention?
[SPEAKER_06]: Has that moved the meter at all?
[SPEAKER_06]: Or do we have further to go with sharing how we feel inside to really prevent this from happening?
[SPEAKER_12]: That's an excellent question because I think that we still have more to learn, more to talk about, more to do, but if you pay attention to maybe the wave that we saw during COVID and right after that with all the
[SPEAKER_12]: social media for different ways of communicating, I think that changed because a lot of people started talking about how we were feeling and what was going on and it was from a therapist, maybe on the specific social media channel or it was maybe a teenager or an adult saying, hey, I'm going through this and by sharing that I think that people started to wake up and say, I'm feeling the same way.
[SPEAKER_12]: Let me communicate.
[SPEAKER_12]: I'm afraid.
[SPEAKER_12]: I don't know what to do.
[SPEAKER_12]: Why do I look for help?
[SPEAKER_12]: So I think that we have advanced a long way within the last five, 10 years, but we still have a long way to go.
[SPEAKER_12]: And I can share, as an example, when I post on social media and I talk about therapy or suicide or something like that, a few likes, a few follows.
[SPEAKER_12]: But when I talk about something fun, this is what I did.
[SPEAKER_12]: Hundreds of likes.
[SPEAKER_12]: Right, so people try to avoid it.
[SPEAKER_12]: So that's a very good question because we still have a long way to go.
[SPEAKER_08]: We do, if you have a loved one, if you have a child, if you have anyone in your life, a parent that's close to you, that you're worried about, give us a primer on the steps that you should take.
[SPEAKER_08]: What would you recommend be done if you're in a situation that's out of your depth and you're having trouble dealing with it?
[SPEAKER_08]: What would you do?
[SPEAKER_12]: It's an important question because I think that many times we say, well, I don't know what to do, so I'm not going to do anything, right?
[SPEAKER_12]: It's sometimes the idea of like, well, I, I, where do I start?
[SPEAKER_12]: I think that the number one is to to stay close to the person is like when someone communicate that they are feeling a specific way and they don't want to live anymore, we don't want to live in alone.
[SPEAKER_12]: So,
[SPEAKER_12]: In the same way, if we're seeing changes or that the person is not a social or active or talkative anymore is try to engage a little bit more that will be the number one thing second of all is looking for help and sometimes the person is going to be embarrassed sometimes it's going to be
[SPEAKER_12]: completely sad in pain that they do not want to make the phone call or just go get a website and look for information.
[SPEAKER_12]: So it's offering, how can I help you?
[SPEAKER_12]: Would you like for me to look for someone?
[SPEAKER_12]: Would you like for me to recommend or maybe make the appointment go with you?
[SPEAKER_12]: that way you can do it.
[SPEAKER_12]: I think that nowadays we also have an advantage, which is the ability to see a therapist or a psychiatrist online.
[SPEAKER_12]: And that makes it so different, right?
[SPEAKER_12]: It's not necessarily that you have to get out of your comfort zone and go to an office.
[SPEAKER_12]: We can always do something online.
[SPEAKER_12]: And that's something that a person that is seeing the need can do.
[SPEAKER_12]: And then we have obviously the hotline, 98.
[SPEAKER_12]: And we also have the emergency room.
[SPEAKER_12]: that we do not know what to do, that is the last step.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's always good to be aware of it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think it's a good thing to talk about.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's why we took a little time to talk about that today.
[SPEAKER_08]: Cynthia, catchings, we truly appreciate you coming on and talking about this.
[SPEAKER_08]: It is a very, very important issue that everybody should be aware of.
[SPEAKER_08]: We live in a crazy world and a world with lots of pressure and lots of plates spinning at the same time.
[SPEAKER_08]: And just being aware of it and talking about it will make people think about it and say,
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, maybe this person I need to be closer to or I got to engage with this person a little bit more and do that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Good luck with all the work you're doing and we really really appreciate you taking the time to talk to us.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_12]: What's my pleasure.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and you know, it's it's good to take a couple of minutes once in a while and get heavy on everybody.
[SPEAKER_08]: Just to remind them that that's an important thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: And that's how I did.
[SPEAKER_08]: I did feel just like a, you know, a complete and utter open wound for a period of time as people that go through that kind of thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Doing I know you went through your struggles with addiction and everything you dealt with.
[SPEAKER_06]: When you look when you're looking for a solution, I mean, it's one that.
[SPEAKER_06]: pops up.
[SPEAKER_06]: I think something she said that is really telling and something we all should keep in mind is that don't hesitate to reach out because you think you're not going to say the right thing or do the right thing.
[SPEAKER_06]: Just the very fact that you're reaching out, I think does miles of progress and don't be scared to open yourself up to let the other person open themselves up to.
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike, I know you and I have both been touched by it and you can look back and you can think of a billion things that you wish you had done.
[SPEAKER_06]: And just be open and be there and don't be scared to get involved or say something because you'll be glad you did.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now, one of the things on this show that I am, and it's almost impossible for me to, you know, to segue into the rest of the show.
[SPEAKER_06]: You didn't do a lot of suicide prep for today?
[SPEAKER_08]: I am.
[SPEAKER_08]: I am.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I'm just gonna lose.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was gonna say, he jumped right in.
[SPEAKER_08]: There's the segue.
[SPEAKER_08]: There it is.
[SPEAKER_08]: I wrote this down before the show today.
[SPEAKER_08]: I wrote, I am becoming a more chill.
[SPEAKER_08]: sports fan do like that because you have been so passionate and all the years I don't know if I don't know if I do like that I think I was in years past I didn't care I was nitty gritty right after the last night I just said if you ain't competing in the words of Josh Soroka
[SPEAKER_08]: I ain't watching, and it was probably, I don't know, six innings, seventh inning, whatever.
[SPEAKER_08]: And the Red Sox with their salami bats were up there, and it was just crap, Ola.
[SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, they're against this Superman of a pitcher, and it just, but it is always exciting when a grand slam gets hit.
[SPEAKER_06]: No matter who hits it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I went to bed, prior, I went to bed, prior to the grand slam.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm sorry to hear that.
[SPEAKER_06]: I went to bed, and I think I went to bed when I was two to nothing.
[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it's like the first thing wasn't it?
[SPEAKER_08]: You know I'm trying to do the sleep thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I value my rest.
[SPEAKER_08]: I really.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's one way to knock it angry at a game.
[SPEAKER_08]: Just don't want to not believe me that I did.
[SPEAKER_08]: I did my son and I were watching it together.
[SPEAKER_08]: There was no company.
[SPEAKER_07]: It was not competitive.
[SPEAKER_07]: They weren't competing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I know it's baseball.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I know with baseball, you can wait to the last second and anything it happened.
[SPEAKER_08]: But I just, the whole performance, the whole deal and by the way,
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you NBC for just to have a game on a real network.
[SPEAKER_08]: I even accepted Joe Gerardie in the in the booth with loom or loony of the red socks.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was fine.
[SPEAKER_08]: I just loved having Bob cost us to the intro.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was like old school.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was like old school.
[SPEAKER_06]: Brought to you guys.
[SPEAKER_08]: Dirty and who?
[SPEAKER_08]: Jojo, we're already former manager and player.
[SPEAKER_08]: You won't know these people because it's sports right.
[SPEAKER_08]: He was the former manager of the New York Yankees and Luma Looney was a former player.
[SPEAKER_08]: Was it like a one of the same finished Luma Looney former player for the Red Sox who now does the color commentary for the Red Sox broadcast and he's gotten a lot of national face time because he's kind of a natural.
[SPEAKER_08]: this is a suck fest.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, and when they, yeah, it was no, maybe we can score one.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, there was, once that lead is too, believe it or not, we're great pitching.
[SPEAKER_08]: But then to wake up in the morning, and I'll give you one more little thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm lying in bed.
[SPEAKER_08]: I got my phone out in the living room.
[SPEAKER_08]: And the doors open just to crack.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm reading my wonderful book that I talked about all week, a land-remembering.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, the orange juice book, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: The orange juice book that was a Pulitzer Prize when I wish I would have mentioned that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Last time when they already did show off.
[SPEAKER_08]: They are making that and doing not what a great book.
[SPEAKER_08]: Such a great book.
[SPEAKER_08]: But I hear my little text alert.
[SPEAKER_08]: And then I hear another one.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I said, oh boy.
[SPEAKER_08]: either it could be I don't worry about family members anymore texting if something good is happening but friends might yeah and Josh might if something happened and I hear boom and then I said and I said I said well we've communicated about
[SPEAKER_08]: different sports things.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you know, on a quick out of the playoffs, playoffs a little too serious.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's very shit.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I just said, no, I'm not getting up.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not going to go to get up before I close my eyes and check it out.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not going to do that.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I didn't.
[SPEAKER_08]: And when I wake up this morning, I immediately go to the highlights.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't even go to the like the text.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't even go to the news.
[SPEAKER_06]: So you did the highlights before you did you do text?
[SPEAKER_08]: I go to YouTube right away and scroll to the end.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I see nine nothing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, there we go because I think I left in the six or seventh and that's what I love was the text from Josh and it was just a laughing emoji with tears No, it was a weather alert on On the weather channel that I get notifications on I'm trying to manage my notifications a little better and the weather Boy and oh the weather body wants to talk to you Was it for local weather or do you monitor other locations weather
[SPEAKER_08]: said I got no local home I got a call you know it doesn't show you the ones like it's not a regular text message here.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh it's just a notification it doesn't come in a tag.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay yeah no to self to eliminate these because 41 minutes ago tornadoes versus thunder in front of my promo it's no it's some
[SPEAKER_06]: the lead to weather channel app.
[SPEAKER_06]: I saw tornadoes versus hurricanes and tornadoes are up too nothing in the second.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's it's stable, you know.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now Amazon, here's a fine for you.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, check that later.
[SPEAKER_08]: Of course, it's important.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, well, we got to keep a track of that.
[SPEAKER_08]: So it was but the one thing I wanted to say since the game is not worth discussing, although Cam Schittler,
[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_08]: I said cam slitler didn't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Did I cam shit cam slitler, uh, that can't be his name.
[SPEAKER_08]: It is his name.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's he's the side.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's going to win the side.
[SPEAKER_08]: Younger like that is his name.
[SPEAKER_07]: The wedding show.
[SPEAKER_08]: uh... cam slitler that's an important name it he's gonna win the sion he's that great he's fees like really really down and he's a dick too so uh... and by the way you know the rinsacks trot out uh... patentoli who's there
[SPEAKER_08]: And he did well.
[SPEAKER_08]: He did well.
[SPEAKER_08]: He'd give up a run.
[SPEAKER_08]: They limited him into about 84 pitchers pitches but cam, they let him go like 117 pitches.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was like, hey, who's serious and who's not?
[SPEAKER_08]: But that's the old thing.
[SPEAKER_06]: People should know that the Sai Young Award is given to pitchers that are worthy of recognition.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thanks for sharing that.
[SPEAKER_06]: Sai Young himself was a pitcher.
[SPEAKER_08]: Here's a thought with the advent of the NFL and baseball playoffs beginning in the excitement of TV on sports on TV.
[SPEAKER_08]: What the hell was that?
[SPEAKER_06]: I dropped my phone because I'm an idiot.
[SPEAKER_08]: I wrote this down.
[SPEAKER_08]: What must it be like in a big TV ad agency for big insurance companies?
[SPEAKER_08]: I just thought, did they go into work and there's no, there's do anything.
[SPEAKER_06]: There's danger first of all because of the stacks of money.
[SPEAKER_06]: They could fall at any time.
[SPEAKER_06]: Liberty, Liberty.
[SPEAKER_06]: Not funny.
[SPEAKER_06]: Not good.
[SPEAKER_06]: Slow.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh.
[SPEAKER_08]: The Geico Gecko.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, they just line there.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, and the drummer guy.
[SPEAKER_06]: Don't forget the drummer guy from with the glass.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, not my, not my tempo.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, stayed for him, not my tempo.
[SPEAKER_07]: But, but I do like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I like the all-stake guy who just crashes into things.
[SPEAKER_07]: Mayhem, mayhem, but even mayhem is burned, it's been around for 15 years, but what do you mean if you ask for new things, you get an email and that doesn't work either.
[SPEAKER_08]: I just, I remember, you know, I've been around the Geico guys because they were based around DC.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: And the gate is just the way I get it, it's just a party for, if you've got the right job at one of these places, yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: If you've got the right job like media buyer or it's just nuts, they're all powerful.
[SPEAKER_08]: And they have ruined.
[SPEAKER_08]: advertising.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I like my father hails from that business.
[SPEAKER_08]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_08]: He hails from the days of madman and advertising and coming up with a great idea.
[SPEAKER_06]: When it was a creative creative thing now, the formula is
[SPEAKER_08]: Take it if you have a gazillion dollars, you will be able to literally put a rat or a lizard on television and saturate the market and that's it.
[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, you said it's saturation.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's what they're about.
[SPEAKER_06]: No creativity needed.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_08]: No sucks.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I hate it's so I know it's not the public trust because it is the insurance business and they are a private entity trying to make money.
[SPEAKER_08]: There is a public trust when you've got that many eyes on your product.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do a little something.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, really, just hire a couple of smart people that don't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: They can't even look forward to it.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're a big family.
[SPEAKER_06]: Their big thing is they started with a good-looking guy that can't say the word liberty.
[SPEAKER_06]: And then how did they take it to the next level?
[SPEAKER_06]: A stuffed animal whose name is the way the guy mispronounces.
[SPEAKER_06]: It is so tower and shallow and then incipid.
[SPEAKER_08]: And bothers, there it is, there it is, yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: Amen.
[SPEAKER_08]: I agree, Jacob, to go be.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm done.
[SPEAKER_08]: I've gotten it off my mind.
[SPEAKER_06]: I like that you are more upset about the insurance ads and you are about your red socks.
[SPEAKER_08]: I will be looking in this evening.
[SPEAKER_08]: You have sunny gray tonight.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: But I don't, I feel as though right now.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm sure a lot of Red Sox fans feel the same way.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right now, I don't feel we have a competitive team offensively.
[SPEAKER_08]: We just don't have an offensive baseball team.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're like in September, they were the worst in the league.
[SPEAKER_08]: And then they ran off like a thousand wins.
[SPEAKER_08]: And it's just a dead, dead, not.
[SPEAKER_06]: the net made any chance at all tonight for them.
[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, yeah, because of the lose tonight.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, of course.
[SPEAKER_08]: And they went tonight.
[SPEAKER_08]: Then it's a big game three.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: And now the last thing I wanted to mention here is that.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, maybe I was chill last evening because earlier in the evening, I had lost my shit and I figured out one way because I really do.
[SPEAKER_08]: I have to, I haven't apologized to my kid yet.
[SPEAKER_08]: He didn't really get that bothered by it because he's seen it before.
[SPEAKER_06]: But I was, if you, we saw the fuse being lit at the end of yesterday's show.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, he's never done that.
[SPEAKER_08]: He has never come in here and said we've got to get any and it that started the that lit the candle right where I'm like don't pull me out of this show will will do fine.
[SPEAKER_08]: So the long and short of it is that he pulls me out early.
[SPEAKER_08]: We get down to the ballpark at about a minute before practice was going to start.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: he says dad brought me off here and he sprints off to the field and then I'm getting my stuff out because I don't watch him play for a little bit and then he's coming back and he said are we at this field tonight or are we at the club as the club us is an indoor practice facility where the kids use that engages in that is that because he sees no one there
[SPEAKER_08]: he sees no one there except for the other one of the other teams that's in our league and they're in he's not there.
[SPEAKER_08]: There's not one other.
[SPEAKER_06]: There was one gentleman in an overcoat handing out candy but that was it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, you don't want to.
[SPEAKER_06]: And we were Sasha was candy games out of season.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was I was so pissed and then I look in and I see that they changed it
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, when they changed it back, I walked into this studio at about five of three.
[SPEAKER_08]: The message three hours before practice.
[SPEAKER_08]: I know it's three hours came in at 303, just when I wouldn't have looked at it.
[SPEAKER_08]: And of course you saw me leave yesterday at five, five, 20 or something like that.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I just handled this before text messages.
[SPEAKER_07]: I would actually have to plan a schedule and follow.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's so bad.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's so ridiculous, and I am just melting.
[SPEAKER_06]: How much has it made worse by the fact that there are people in your same situation, other parents that probably live live for the last minutes.
[SPEAKER_08]: They haste it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: There was an a fucking parent.
[SPEAKER_08]: Not one of them that screwed up like I did.
[SPEAKER_06]: I did any of them have the attitude of like this is exciting all this last minute changes.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's great.
[SPEAKER_06]: Let's talk to him.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm but I'm saying in a brand and I'm proud of you.
[SPEAKER_08]: And we're talking to you.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I'm the coach who was there and God bless him.
[SPEAKER_08]: He caught me and he said, who are you talking to on the phone?
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm talking to the main guy.
[SPEAKER_08]: So I was like, give him my best.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I was like, I was really, I was really loud.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was sitting there.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was so...
[SPEAKER_08]: pissed.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was so angry and I shouldn't be, but, you know, Josh is so right.
[SPEAKER_08]: What did they do when they really had that now?
[SPEAKER_08]: It's like they've used it as a crutch now because they can.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and it's just it changes.
[SPEAKER_08]: by the hour.
[SPEAKER_06]: It changes like the wind someday might someday might you should have yourself a drink and sit down with your son and talk about what it used to be like to pick up someone at the airport.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, for cell phones.
[SPEAKER_06]: Amen.
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's changed everything, but the cell phone for an airport is an advancement.
[SPEAKER_06]: this is a cop out for what you do.
[SPEAKER_06]: This is not okay.
[SPEAKER_06]: This is not okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: It sucks.
[SPEAKER_08]: And then I slowly calm down and by the time I gathered myself and I was saying goodbye to my son because he was going to the other location which was oh, by the way, did I mention it was an hour later?
[SPEAKER_08]: That's when the practice perfect.
[SPEAKER_08]: And now I'll get some of the help too.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
[SPEAKER_08]: We'll take a short break and then we've got tidbits for you and later on we'll talk about I don't know measles and got your moments that weren't right here on the Micomeris show everybody will be right back.
[SPEAKER_08]: There are a lot of great things to do in the ocean Surfhan, Swimming, Craven, Skindiving, but no one can
[SPEAKER_08]: and hold a candle to the T.M.O.S.

[SPEAKER_08]: Thun, thun, thun for the whole world hit the music slam.
[SPEAKER_08]: Here we go.
[SPEAKER_08]: We start today with the White House.
[SPEAKER_08]: They have a new AI agreement and somebody needs to proofread the president's title.
[SPEAKER_08]: No president Trump and a group of major technology executives have announced a voluntary agreement.
[SPEAKER_08]: on how the industry will police artificial intelligence companies, including Google, meta, NVIDIA, and anthropic agreed to internal and outside reviews of their AI systems.
[SPEAKER_08]: The details in the idea are to let the industry develop AI while putting some safety controls in place, but the document got some extra attention for a very human reason.
[SPEAKER_08]: Why it misspelled the president's title as president of the United States that you know what I think it'll be okay with that you and I Yes, you know misspelled it was Senator Biberty
[SPEAKER_08]: Divinity, Divinity, that is either a typo or AI has already started rewriting the government, but anyway, they're doing something.
[SPEAKER_08]: God knows whether it's going to work or not.
[SPEAKER_07]: I say no, yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: They also say as part of that AI, you'll be able to just register for your passport online next year through that system.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, that's great.
[SPEAKER_08]: Remember when you had to go through all those different hoops for a passport?
[SPEAKER_08]: I just did.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you do now.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's good.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's good.
[SPEAKER_08]: Smoke that you can eat.
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's start this again.
[SPEAKER_08]: The FTC is now investigating the AI companies themselves.
[SPEAKER_08]: The Federal Trade Commission has opened an industry-wide investigation into companies including Open AI and Anthropics.
[SPEAKER_08]: There it is again.
[SPEAKER_08]: AI systems.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what that is.
[SPEAKER_08]: That can act on their own, rather than just answering questions.
[SPEAKER_08]: The FTC wants information about incidents involving AI agents and plans to question executives.
[SPEAKER_08]: So we have the government saying, please make sure the robots behave.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well,
[SPEAKER_07]: Rob Rob Spurker in the agentic system yesterday and agentic system is when you have an AI agent too stuff while you walk away.
[SPEAKER_07]: So Rob has it monitor and flights and send them him notifications for cheaper flights.
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, then I love it.
[SPEAKER_07]: That fall under that head and my AI is great.
[SPEAKER_08]: do you like it or not?
[SPEAKER_06]: I do.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's fantastic.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's not because it doesn't put us, it doesn't put us in danger.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't think that anybody needs to worry about it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think we're all going to be just fine.
[SPEAKER_08]: Here here, Bramad.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
[SPEAKER_08]: We talked about it too much already.
[SPEAKER_08]: The Yankees just absolutely hammed the Red Sox, the Yankees beat Boston night and nothing in game one of the American League Wildcard series.
[SPEAKER_08]: Cam Schittler, I'm sorry, Schlittler.
[SPEAKER_08]: Lookler struck out 10 red socks batters over six and a third innings.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, Ben Rice, Melee mouth.
[SPEAKER_08]: I have little Melee mouthy lips, Ben Rice.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh dear, had two home runs in six.
[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, isn't it RB eye Josh though?
[SPEAKER_08]: Isn't it six RB eyes?
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: The way you type it, you're allowed to type RB eyes.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: Run.
[SPEAKER_06]: When it's actually in Mike.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Meanwhile, the brave speed, the Philly, sorry, elemental after Austin Riley hit a three run Homer in the eight.
[SPEAKER_08]: The white socks will also be Houston.
[SPEAKER_08]: You said mean that a 6 to 3 and San Diego blank the cubs eight to nothing in another blowout There we have when you fight when you say blank.
[SPEAKER_06]: Do we have to fill that in?
[SPEAKER_06]: Is this like the match game?
[SPEAKER_06]: No, it's zero, Rob.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, okay.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay Thank you, Charlie.
[SPEAKER_08]: Travis Kelsey has a very simple review of Taylor Swift's new song about Cleveland.
[SPEAKER_08]: Taylor Swift has released a new song called Cleveland about her husband Travis Kelsey and his hometown Isn't that special?
[SPEAKER_06]: No
[SPEAKER_06]: It's not.
[SPEAKER_06]: It sucks.
[SPEAKER_08]: Kelsey was asked about the song and his new heights podcast like the hottest podcast in the world.
[SPEAKER_08]: Liberty, Liberty.
[SPEAKER_08]: My Cleveland rocks.
[SPEAKER_08]: And not surprisingly, he likes it.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's a bold stance.
[SPEAKER_07]: Notice you only hear about that podcast when it's about Taylor Swift.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, because well, they've got the numbers that show people are paying attention with the him and yes, Harry.
[SPEAKER_06]: I think Mike, I think those are all robot listeners.
[SPEAKER_08]: The song, uh, Cleveland talks about him taking her to Cleveland and showing her the heights.
[SPEAKER_08]: Look out what the Cleveland Heights or the Heights his heights.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, he's like, you mean like where he grew up?
[SPEAKER_08]: Is that where he's like, Oh, no, I don't give a shit.
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike, he shows her the heights in his pants.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is probably the first time in history of woman is written a love song about a man and his hometown and the hometown of Cleveland has immediately become romantic.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Isn't that special?
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we talked about Ash to be the last week.
[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's good that we're getting all of these towns and songs.
[SPEAKER_08]: Ashtabula!
[SPEAKER_08]: Tonight's TV lineup is basically a time machine a bunch of shows are returning, including new seasons of Scrubs.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you watch, uh, you, do you take the Scrubs?
[SPEAKER_06]: It's really funny because it, when it first came out, I didn't watch it, but now that it's back, I still don't watch it.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, Shark Tank's back on, I know you like it, Shark Tank.
[SPEAKER_08]: I like it with that.
[SPEAKER_08]: I do like that show.
[SPEAKER_08]: How about the amazing race?
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you look at the amazing race?
[SPEAKER_08]: Josh, did you know that shows about white people?
[SPEAKER_08]: that's on too.
[SPEAKER_06]: Back to the Shark Tank.
[SPEAKER_06]: I will not watch it tonight because guess who's on.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's Mr. B, right?
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_06]: I like that move.
[SPEAKER_08]: Boo.
[SPEAKER_08]: Mr. B. Ted Lasso is also approaching its season for finale.
[SPEAKER_08]: Shark Tank has some particularly weird products coming up, including a finger-shaped cocking tool.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's kind of interesting.
[SPEAKER_08]: Say it again, a finger-shaped cocking tool.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's terrific, Mike.
[SPEAKER_08]: Also, an AI powered ball and a mystery box of return merchandise.
[SPEAKER_06]: Just Kelsey, have one of those AI balls.
[SPEAKER_08]: Nothing says prime time entertainment.
[SPEAKER_08]: Lightwatching five millionaires argue over a box of stuff.
[SPEAKER_08]: Somebody else already said that.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, by the way, Josh, what is the name of that stupid show, stupidist in America that you wanted me to watch?
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, that.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_07]: That was my favorite summer show.
[SPEAKER_06]: It captured my YouTube TV captured it and I looked at it and it is so stupid.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's so stupid Don't look at this show.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know who's by far the smartest person on it and he's so smart He's almost a dick is Napoleon dynamite And he will tell people no, it's wrong I hear all shows that show's gonna be a long time hit because it has electrolytes
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's move on finally today a Florida man has discovered that a median is not a barbershop three young men in O'Cala Beautiful town Decided that the perfect place to give a guy a haircut was the median of a busy road One guy was cutting hair another was getting the cut and a third of course was filming the whole thing
[SPEAKER_08]: then two cars collided nearby.
[SPEAKER_08]: One of them hit the 18 year old in the median.
[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't say whether he was the photographer or the haircut twins.
[SPEAKER_08]: He was seriously injured.
[SPEAKER_06]: I watch them on them.
[SPEAKER_06]: Don't world's dumbest.
[SPEAKER_06]: They were great contrasment.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, give me a chance to write another wonderful florida.
[SPEAKER_06]: This is great.
[SPEAKER_08]: Ladies and gentlemen, Florida.
[SPEAKER_08]: Come for the haircuts.
[SPEAKER_08]: Stay for the ICU.
[SPEAKER_08]: We'll be back with our discussion about a gotcha moment that really doesn't go that well speaking of dumb We'll have that for you and more fun and more thrills.
[SPEAKER_08]: Listen, you're eating better.
[SPEAKER_08]: You're working out You're trying to get enough sleep
[SPEAKER_08]: You're doing all the things, are the things.
[SPEAKER_08]: But how do you know if they're actually working?
[SPEAKER_08]: That's where the true age test from true diagnostic comes in.
[SPEAKER_08]: True age uses energetics to look at how your body is actually aging.
[SPEAKER_08]: Based on changes associated with things like sleep, stress, diet, exercise, and your environment.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is real science.
[SPEAKER_08]: Their methods have been published in peer-reviewed journals and developed with researchers from Harvard, Yale, and Duke.
[SPEAKER_08]: All you need is a simple at-home fingerprint and true age can estimate your biological age.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to do this soon.
[SPEAKER_08]: How quickly you're aging, it takes here at that, too, to let you know.
[SPEAKER_08]: And how areas like your heart, brain, and liver may be aging, then you get personalized recommendations for nutrition, exercise, sleep, supplements,
[SPEAKER_08]: You do the test at home, you send it back in the prepaid kit and your personalized report arrives online in about three to four weeks.
[SPEAKER_08]: If you are already working on your help, don't just guess how you're doing.
[SPEAKER_08]: True age can give you a clearer picture of where you are and most importantly, what to work on next.
[SPEAKER_08]: I love this.
[SPEAKER_08]: So if you're serious about longevity or even just curious whether your body is aging faster or slower than your actual age, this is one of the easiest ways to find out right now go to truediagnostic.com and use code TMOS for 20% off your entire order.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's truediagnostic.com code TMOS for 20% off.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how long they're going to be on with this Josh, but if they want to send me one of those kids on the other side.
[SPEAKER_08]: I will do it and I will do it on the show and hopefully we will be able to discuss the results when I tell you whether I'm aging rapidly or not.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I'm looking forward to it.
[SPEAKER_07]: What's one of us do you think is body is older than they should be?
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to stay out of this.
[SPEAKER_08]: However, he has made vast improvements in his health, but and physical beauty.
[SPEAKER_08]: And physical beauty, but there's an old saying in America, that ship has sailed, but I don't know, I disagree.
[SPEAKER_06]: And for anyone who thinks I was serious, I was looking at myself in the mirror this very morning.
[SPEAKER_06]: I said, how much does it suck?
[SPEAKER_06]: I met an all-time low for my weight, and I just still look
[SPEAKER_06]: ugly.
[SPEAKER_06]: It sucks.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_07]: Are you, are you purposely growing out your hair?
[SPEAKER_06]: No, just lazy.
[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_06]: I'll get a cut soon, Josh.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to try and make it look like you're putting a new sound in the soundboard.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what it says.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think everyone should be gay, don't you?
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what that was, I don't think it would be gay for 20 years ago.
[SPEAKER_08]: I put a lot in for Josh.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I did.
[SPEAKER_08]: We're not good.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not Josh heavy today, you know?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: But it might be.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, let's get to our gotcha moment that wasn't.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now, I get the democratic side of things.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, this was, I was inundated with this.
[SPEAKER_08]: My question is, did this go out to the Great Unwashed Everywhere or was this a big newsy moment about this Missouri Senator first half hour of the today showed it.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think so.
[SPEAKER_07]: And I saw it on TikTok.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think everyone jumped on it as because there's a,
[SPEAKER_06]: there's one thing we all like is that government just people we don't like anyone doesn't matter right side we like to make them look foolish especially when they go all in on something that proves to be absolutely wrong let's take a look all right here we go this is from the senate floor you go to an in the a game between a community warriors in the land of hawks on February 3rd 2024
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm sorry, could you say that again?
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you go to an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks on February 3rd, 2024?
[SPEAKER_05]: What city would that be in?
[SPEAKER_02]: Atlanta.
[SPEAKER_05]: No.
[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
[SPEAKER_02]: So your testimony today is that you did not go to a Hawks game on February 3rd, 2024.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that correct?
[SPEAKER_05]: I have no recollection of that.
[SPEAKER_02]: OK. Is your testimony that you were not in Atlanta on February 3rd,
[SPEAKER_02]: Let me just give you a little context.
[SPEAKER_02]: The day before Fannie Willis came clean with her affair with the prosecutor.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know the Atlanta prosecutor that was also trying to get Trump the next day where you and Atlanta.
[SPEAKER_05]: I do not believe so.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, did you ever go to Atlanta during your time in Special Counsel?
[SPEAKER_05]: I really don't think so.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's possible I flew through the Atlanta airport on the way to Florida But I do not have a recollection of Going to Atlanta.
[SPEAKER_05]: I definitely did not go to a Hawks game The guy that is getting the questions thrown at him Jack Smith He looks like a special prosecutor.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think he was a special prosecutor.
[SPEAKER_06]: He looks like he's on stage on Broadway and no one gave him a script
[SPEAKER_06]: Here's the thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: So before this guy, this guy is in this committee, this guy is in this committee for one reason and one reason only.
[SPEAKER_08]: He investigated Trump and he had negative findings about Trump and they are persecuting him because of that.
[SPEAKER_08]: The guy is that's why he's there and this guy from Missouri, the senator from Missouri Schmidt.
[SPEAKER_08]: is trying to create something that does not exist as you know.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, this is more of a worry.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: This is senators.
[SPEAKER_07]: This is all they do on these communities.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is what Republican mag is senators to not know both both do that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Settle down, boys.
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's just enjoy that.
[SPEAKER_06]: Can we just enjoy their moment, please?
[SPEAKER_07]: It's all about getting their TV time.
[SPEAKER_08]: And he's trying to understand English, but they cannot speak.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, so let's go, uh, let let's finish this instead of finish this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Did you ever meet Nathan Wader, Fanny Willis in your time and special counsel?
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
[SPEAKER_02]: What would you say if I had a series of text messages from your team that said you were in Atlanta at a warrior Hawksking on February 3rd, 2024, the day after Willis in the way to announce their affair?
[SPEAKER_02]: Is he holding up the big post?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think you know that we have this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Look at how quickly they put it back to you.
[SPEAKER_06]: Like you sold to put it back down quickly.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I also love that they took the time to make something that is really akin to like a publisher's clearing house check to show him a huge wall.
[SPEAKER_05]: I know it's a beautiful thing.
[SPEAKER_05]: They do yourself.
[SPEAKER_05]: You just took it down really quick if I can look at that again.
[SPEAKER_01]: This chairman gave the witness a copy so he can see what's being read to him.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a dirt.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think you've already sufficiently, and so I want to I want to run through what's he doing we'll put it in a file if you can respond You buy the party purchase.
[SPEAKER_08]: I know, but He's already pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty this is not out back in the day There were desperate fights.
[SPEAKER_08]: You go back to Lincoln.
[SPEAKER_08]: They hit each other with clubs this bullshit never happened like this
[SPEAKER_08]: I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the guy, I like the
[SPEAKER_06]: This is my time.
[SPEAKER_08]: Shut up.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't care if you're wrong.
[SPEAKER_08]: Chris, I just want to see the poster that I held up.
[SPEAKER_08]: I know.
[SPEAKER_17]: Mr. Chairman, then I'm going to be able to allow the witness to see this fast poster board that we saw.
[SPEAKER_17]: That could include it down in the, so the witness can look at that at some point here before the hearings over because
[SPEAKER_17]: we couldn't see what it said and I'm a former prosecutor too and I have never seen anyone just say what do you think of this and put it down we need a copy of the actual text can you give the witness the courtesy of giving him a copy of that?
[SPEAKER_13]: I would love to be in the course of seven, so thank you.
[SPEAKER_13]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_17]: Should we maybe give him the chance to look at it and then go back at it?
[SPEAKER_05]: I think I can address it.
[SPEAKER_17]: Okay, do you want to keep this isn't in my time, but yes, Mr. Smith, please address it.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's very briefly, and if this is the correct basketball game, I recall going to a university of Maryland basketball game, or Caitlin Clark was playing.
[SPEAKER_05]: Right around that time, and the Marshall service was there with me.
[SPEAKER_05]: You could check if that was the exact date.
[SPEAKER_05]: It was Maryland playing Iowa.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think February, 2024, but again, that's, you could check that out.
[SPEAKER_05]: If that's what we're talking about.
[SPEAKER_17]: could it then be that the University of Iowa's the Hawkeye's, to that the end, and maybe before we show this kind of, oh he's mad now.
[SPEAKER_17]: I know, but if he was at an Iowa game, is that correct?
[SPEAKER_05]: It was because Caitlin Clark was coming to Maryland to play.
[SPEAKER_17]: I know, but that might be the confusion over the names of the team, but perhaps you should have looked at it more carefully.
[SPEAKER_02]: Who's questioning is this by the extremist?
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you using your time, Senator?
[SPEAKER_02]: What this is?
[SPEAKER_02]: Are we just having an open session?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to rehabilitate the witness, but not your time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to rehabilitate the witness, but not your time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to rehabilitate the witness, but not your time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to rehabilitate the witness, but not your time.
[SPEAKER_17]: I'm just trying to rehabilitate the witness, but not your time.
[SPEAKER_17]: I'm just trying to rehabilitate the witness, but not your time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to rehabilitate the witness, but not your time.
[SPEAKER_02]: the could have obviously been related to the prosecution that was reported with his office in a while.
[SPEAKER_17]: I'm going to begin my questions now, but I think that people should have their facts straight before they have used someone of being a dirt bag and not get the team.
[SPEAKER_02]: I stand by that statement.
[SPEAKER_17]: No, it's COVID-19.
[SPEAKER_17]: Since you had the team, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: Mr. Chairman.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh boy.
[SPEAKER_08]: So the playbook is, and they're going away, by the way, midterms, they're going away.
[SPEAKER_08]: All these fuckers are going to start going away.
[SPEAKER_08]: And the bottom line is these absolute morons, these people that are so, they show such fieldy.
[SPEAKER_08]: to Donald J. Trump that they don't even have to remotely fact check or vet any of this.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not necessary as long as it's a gotcha moment.
[SPEAKER_08]: And if you don't have a real gotcha, now my question to you, Rob.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you believe that this was
[SPEAKER_08]: Try to get away with it, or do you think this was just sloppy dumb?
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, this is sloppy dumb followed by try to get away with it.
[SPEAKER_06]: Because obviously before the clip that we played is over, they realize that their tit is in a ringer.
[SPEAKER_06]: Because they got caught accusing a high-ranking official of perjury because they confused one team with another team.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think it was probably an intern that screwed up and passed it on and no one checked and they got too excited that they found something because they searched for the word hawks in a file and this came up and they just ran with it without checking.
[SPEAKER_06]: But then that case then it's still stupidity.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it's stupidity followed by denial.
[SPEAKER_08]: it was a it was a moment and you know that the record show he's not a dirtbag no and he likes women's basketball he does and you know I mean she she was at you know the goodness celebrity of the day but he's there like what are you doing
[SPEAKER_08]: what's going on here.
[SPEAKER_08]: And he's a lawyer.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's been around.
[SPEAKER_06]: I felt for Smith because he has no idea what's being thrown at him because it's not based in fact at all.
[SPEAKER_06]: No.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's science fiction what they're throwing at him.
[SPEAKER_06]: But it makes you think what's I in Atlanta?
[SPEAKER_07]: Did I put it out on something else?
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, maybe I was there.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's so true because you say to yourself, if somebody throws that out at you, haven't we all had conversations like that?
[SPEAKER_08]: Where you're, where, you know, if you scream it loudly enough and you say it with enough authority, now listen, you don't want to purge yourself here.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just, but the nice thing is that when all those cameras are there, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: You get caught and you get made to be a national embarrassment which is and I hope it lingers I hope it goes through a couple of news as of one just time today I don't think Schmidt has issued a statement.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think he's laying low.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah We'll take a short one and when we come back ladies and gentlemen This is a tough what you gonna do like what you want to do Do you want keep fiber measles robes be away?
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, since we're talking government excellence anyway, let's talk about measles measles are coming to you ladies Hey gentlemen big news from L.E.M.D prices have dropped in fact these are the lowest prices they've ever offered So if you have been thinking about getting started this could be a great time to check it out

[SPEAKER_08]: L-E-M-D has two different options to explore.
[SPEAKER_08]: Their weight management program is designed for people who's primary goal is weight reduction.

[SPEAKER_08]: And here's what I like.
[SPEAKER_08]: Medication, supplies, and shipping are all included.
[SPEAKER_08]: L-E-M-D except accepts HSA and F-S-A funds and payment plans are available and I'll let you in on a little secret.

[SPEAKER_08]: Cause I like saying it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Clarna!
[SPEAKER_06]: Can you say it with a Irish accent?
[SPEAKER_06]: Clara.
[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_08]: Clara.

[SPEAKER_08]: That time, everybody.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yay, he rocks, he way.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, in the past, I've done, you know, we cut up.
[SPEAKER_06]: We joke around in this show, Mike.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I've jokingly said that I'd judge you.
[SPEAKER_03]: You haven't much to be gay, didn't you?
[SPEAKER_06]: We've said that Josh is a noted anti-vaxxer, and he is not.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I will not proceed with that joke because this pisses me off.
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, right.
[SPEAKER_06]: did you know that there are actual diseases that when they hit a certain rate they receive what is called and I quote this elimination status that even though they are still
[SPEAKER_06]: out there occasionally for all intents and purposes they're gone, okay.
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
[SPEAKER_06]: So I know that when I was a little kid and when my kids were little and probably when you were a little too, Mike, we all got the MMR vaccine.
[SPEAKER_06]: measles, rubella, and one other one.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I didn't rob.
[SPEAKER_08]: You did not.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I, the only thing I measles rubella is what I remember clearly is that on several occasions
[SPEAKER_08]: They came to my house and they bled me.
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, did they use leeches?
[SPEAKER_06]: How do they know?
[SPEAKER_08]: No leeches didn't have them.
[SPEAKER_08]: Didn't have access.
[SPEAKER_08]: The pierce.
[SPEAKER_06]: They didn't have them.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: The doctor would come with this big, harsh bucket of cheese.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_08]: Totally make a little incision.
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike, I want to tell you what a great time it is to be alive.
[SPEAKER_06]: That measles, which had elimination status, they still have it.
[SPEAKER_06]: In the past week, that seven days.
[SPEAKER_06]: 177 cases of measles have been reported in the United States.
[SPEAKER_06]: This is a disease that has been eliminated.
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, in the past 24, I'm sorry, in 24 states over the last few months,
[SPEAKER_06]: nine hundred and ten cases of measles in the United States in states like hey there's one in here you'll recognize Arizona California Colorado Florida Georgia I know Kentucky Maine Minnesota Nebraska but this is so bad that measles
[SPEAKER_06]: Once thought a thing of the past is going to lose its elimination status because no one is giving their kids the MMR vaccine anymore.
[SPEAKER_06]: How stupid are we?
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: I, it just, once again, you know, we've had so many arguments in this country what we used to never argue about.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Was certain vaccines that kept the population healthy.
[SPEAKER_08]: When you talk about the people that developed these things and suddenly they're evil, evil people in it all happened because people wanted to argue because they politicized COVID.
[SPEAKER_08]: And that's what did it.
[SPEAKER_06]: Crazy.
[SPEAKER_06]: You would think 910 measles cases is a lot.
[SPEAKER_06]: Did you know in calendar year 2025 the U.S. reported 2,280 cases of measles.
[SPEAKER_06]: A disease that has been quote unquote eliminated.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you think that the reason for this is that people who believe in a certain political angle after COVID have said I'm not putting that in my arm.
[SPEAKER_06]: Is that my opinion is they can't tell me what to do.
[SPEAKER_06]: it's not more of like not wanting it in their body.
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think they think that like, you know, five G is controlling them.
[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't think they want to be that person.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll bring this for what I've got because this is local.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if you've seen the ads, but we have a humanitarian election down here going on between David Jolly, great name, and Chris, because himself the Christmas candidate.
[SPEAKER_08]: And then the Republican is, uh, Byron Donalds, who is the, uh, mega, uh, I think a son, no, he's not saying he's he's running for governor.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's a congressman.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: And he's running for governor and the anti-jolly ads they're putting now.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: Hurricane tax.
[SPEAKER_08]: Hurricane attack and give you a hurricane tax as we get a hurricane tax.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's the add their running That's like because I didn't get deep into it, and that's but they but it but it clicks right a rolls right off the tongue Hurricane tax.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm paying no hurricane tax.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not doing it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I can't tax.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, he's that guy It's gonna have the hurricane tax.
[SPEAKER_08]: I ain't paying for that.
[SPEAKER_08]: No way, Dave.
[SPEAKER_06]: They like they have three places where the measles have really really sort of really excelled
[SPEAKER_06]: One is in South Carolina, that began last year, and that's where the majority of them come from.
[SPEAKER_06]: But as of Tuesday, the 933 cases that have been confirmed, most of them are centered around Spartanburg Spartansburg County in North Carolina, but here's the best one.
[SPEAKER_06]: Additionally, in southern Florida, measles are crawling over a very Maria universe of just around the corner.
[SPEAKER_08]: We are so, so red down here.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, measles will make your red.
[SPEAKER_06]: They'll turn your red.
[SPEAKER_06]: So I just don't get it.
[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't understand.
[SPEAKER_07]: I remember going for that big deal because like when he was like it no, I thought it was a little bit more than chickenpox like I remember an episode of the Brady bunches a kid where they all got measles and stuff I didn't think it was a big deal.
[SPEAKER_08]: I thought it's like a compact the only time it's a big deal is when it's when it's not
[SPEAKER_08]: treated or controlled or controlled that's when it becomes a beginning.
[SPEAKER_08]: The thing about the the entire situation is that you you have this this breakout that's happening right now and they are trying to
[SPEAKER_08]: Pupu it, right?
[SPEAKER_08]: The people that wanted to do.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I know what I was going to say.
[SPEAKER_08]: I forgot I lost my train of thought.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: I remember and I'm talking about seriously going back to the 60s and 70s right when you weren't you required by school systems.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, they've thrown that out in Florida.
[SPEAKER_08]: You're required to get these facts and I think all states have thrown it out.
[SPEAKER_07]: All states have thrown it past 15 years because of so many people doing more natural things.
[SPEAKER_06]: What if you have to get into Ave Maria University?
[SPEAKER_06]: Do they allow it?
[SPEAKER_06]: Ave Maria.
[SPEAKER_06]: That old measles.
[SPEAKER_08]: Ave Maria, uh, university out there, way inland from the coast of southwest Florida, and it is a little, it's, it's a Catholic community.
[SPEAKER_06]: Do they focus on STEM there?
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_07]: But it's like, but it's like, even though it was all right.
[SPEAKER_07]: So maybe it's it was not declared eliminated until 2000, but maybe it was more of a normal thing when I was kid even if it's normal if it's not killing people.
[SPEAKER_06]: If 90% of people that have measles have to be hospitalized, and this stuff spins out of control, that's a problem.
[SPEAKER_07]: And it's in thick measles where that way.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_06]: Most medical stuff you can find out by watching the Holy Bunch.
[SPEAKER_08]: cases of measles have been rising since 2010.
[SPEAKER_08]: It is tied to a lot of things.
[SPEAKER_08]: Remember, Jenny McCarthy and her anti-vaccine campaign, how they were causing autism.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, see, I remember the hearing, that's all time.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that was before the whole COVID thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not just political.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's definitely the anti-vacc community as well.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I also think though, the COVID situation
[SPEAKER_07]: And it says the AI says one in five unvaccinated people might have to would have to be hospitalized.
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's a lot of people.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's a lot of people.
[SPEAKER_07]: And remember what they say unvaccinated.
[SPEAKER_06]: What they say in the mob.
[SPEAKER_06]: Weasels get measles.
[SPEAKER_06]: So watch your ass.
[SPEAKER_06]: Wow, but it's the thing that troubles me.
[SPEAKER_06]: The thing that really troubles me is how it really troubles me is how preventable this is Yeah, if you just go get the two shots that's all need to do base.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you know what I've done both and look at me measles free, but
[SPEAKER_06]: I also, I just want to throw it out.
[SPEAKER_06]: These people love their kids.
[SPEAKER_06]: Why are they not protecting their kids?
[SPEAKER_07]: No, it's.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's so much to it.
[SPEAKER_07]: I know.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's people want to narrow it down to a yes or no, and there's a whole lot of gray area in the middle.
[SPEAKER_08]: Not in the measles vaccine.
[SPEAKER_08]: There is no gray area.
[SPEAKER_08]: Measles, you see.
[SPEAKER_06]: No, unless you're older, a lot of older patients get the measles vaccine in their gray area.
[SPEAKER_07]: No, I think the measle vaccine, a lot of most people trust the measle MMR.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_07]: The problem is when there ends up being so many vaccines that and the way news and stuff goes is lump some all together and that causes all this hysteria.
[SPEAKER_08]: Did you ever listen here on our vaccines are trouble and much worse than measles?
[SPEAKER_08]: No sarcasm intended than the same person nods.
[SPEAKER_08]: P7U says vaccines are one of the prominent things messing the kids up.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's a very clinical terminology there.
[SPEAKER_08]: Messing the kids up.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I don't buy it.
[SPEAKER_08]: They don't actually what Jen and McCarthy said.
[SPEAKER_08]: You don't want to mess the kids up.
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't buy it until I see it on the Brady bunch.
[SPEAKER_06]: Didn't you use to listen to Mike to the point?
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to go on this track group right now with mostly democratic states that probably allow illegal migration.
[SPEAKER_06]: My fault for thinking that getting your kids vaccinated could cause political strife in our chat room.
[SPEAKER_06]: So here's what I have to say to them.
[SPEAKER_07]: Coming over the border.
[SPEAKER_06]: Fuck them all.
[SPEAKER_07]: Fuck everybody.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's why it's why I had an AI story written down and then I crossed it out because somehow AI has become political It's true.
[SPEAKER_07]: Everything is political now.
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see somebody's talking about vitamin D. I'm glad I dropped in today.
[SPEAKER_08]: I give you some vitamin D.
[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, how are you today with the measles there?
[SPEAKER_08]: I trust the people who go to medical school and dedicate their life to helping people and not nude 69, I mean, or not.
[SPEAKER_08]: Or not that guy that was talking about it.
[SPEAKER_08]: So yeah, it's right.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is,
[SPEAKER_08]: I, I'm going to say something optimistic.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Folks hear me hear me.
[SPEAKER_08]: The pendulum will swing back, all right.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm not, I'm saying the pendulum will swing back to where we will begin again.
[SPEAKER_08]: I hope and pray.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: To value intellectual achievement.
[SPEAKER_08]: To value education.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, Mike.
[SPEAKER_06]: Appreciate it.
[SPEAKER_08]: To value, excuse to, uh,
[SPEAKER_08]: and understanding and getting the people with the better educations in the certain subjects to be the experts and the researchers because they're the people that need to be doing this and they need to be respected.
[SPEAKER_08]: The only reason that the medical community was attacked the way it was is because COVID caused a political storm.
[SPEAKER_08]: And it was almost as though, but even when that happened, I still couldn't run and I still can't wrap my head around it.
[SPEAKER_08]: That you were saying, okay, you don't really, I think if I get it straight,
[SPEAKER_08]: The politics of the situation was we don't care if you were a mask.
[SPEAKER_08]: We want you to go out and hang out when we when really we didn't know 100% but we're going to show you how brave we are by putting your asses on the line and some of those people ended up in the hospital on respirators but it didn't matter right and then the other people were saying
[SPEAKER_08]: Look, we don't have all the information yet, but it would be better safe than sorry to put a mask on and to separate and not be, which is the way I looked at it and where are three masks?
[SPEAKER_08]: And then, or you three, are you mocking my mask wearing?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, because you didn't believe in it.
[SPEAKER_07]: No, I think Fauci at one point said, you can wear two if you want.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I believe Fauci and Fauci has been persecuted because and Fauci was just trying to do.
[SPEAKER_08]: And the vaccine was developed.
[SPEAKER_08]: And the vaccine is the reason people started getting codes.
[SPEAKER_07]: But the vaccine started as political because even when it first started with that
[SPEAKER_07]: There was people like on your side saying, well, I'm not going to take a vaccine that Trump's team builds.
[SPEAKER_07]: Then when it comes out the other side, the other side turns and says, well, I'm not going to do that.
[SPEAKER_07]: It should have never been political to begin with.
[SPEAKER_06]: To be fair, the president wanted us to inject ourselves with the horse piss and bleach.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_06]: When they came out with and certified real.
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm having the vaccine now.
[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't say one time that I am not going to.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was never aware that it was a Donald Trump developed vaccine.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was rooting for I know, whoever would would develop it.
[SPEAKER_06]: It was a magical day when we got the vaccine.
[SPEAKER_06]: I remember it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: In Florida, our governor said take this medicine and you don't have to worry
[SPEAKER_08]: And it didn't work.
[SPEAKER_06]: It worked for our president remember when he started in the balcony.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, when he got COVID.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's right
[SPEAKER_08]: and lived, I don't know, what the world is mad, the world is mad.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm so glad I brought it up.
[SPEAKER_06]: Next time I'm going to tell the keyfault category.
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, we'll go all the time, no politics.
[SPEAKER_07]: I have to bring politics in.
[SPEAKER_07]: I know, I know.
[SPEAKER_07]: I know.
[SPEAKER_08]: We got to take a break.
[SPEAKER_08]: We'll come back with beautiful video right here on the Michael Maris Show, every body, and I'm going to do a Cam Scadaboo thing where he goes.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think he gets hit.
[SPEAKER_08]: Today's episode is brought to you by Vinted.
[SPEAKER_08]: Take a look at your closet.
[SPEAKER_08]: Go ahead.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll wait.
[SPEAKER_08]: Go over there.
[SPEAKER_08]: Take a look.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll wait.
[SPEAKER_08]: How many things you're hanging in there that you haven't worn in years?
[SPEAKER_08]: We all do it.
[SPEAKER_08]: We all say, oh, I'll wear that again someday.
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, you won't.
[SPEAKER_08]: So, while it perfectly good clothes sit there taking up space, when they could be making you money, that's where Vintage comes in.
[SPEAKER_08]: Vintage is a second hand marketplace app that makes it easy to sell your pre-loved clothes and turn that closet clutter into extra cash.
[SPEAKER_08]: Listing is quick and easy, and when something sells, Vintage creates a prepaid shipping label for you.
[SPEAKER_08]: But here's my favorite part.
[SPEAKER_08]: There are no sellers fees.
[SPEAKER_08]: You keep every dollar you earn.
[SPEAKER_08]: Just ask Josh Soroka.
[SPEAKER_08]: You've used vintage.
[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, if not vintage, vintage, vintage.
[SPEAKER_08]: Then, drop off a package this morning.
[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, around here, we call him Stacy Ben.
[SPEAKER_08]: Because it goes to the bins all the time.
[SPEAKER_08]: But it's not no one.
[SPEAKER_08]: No one is going to get that.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, Jackson.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you know Josh?
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you know who's been talking about?
[SPEAKER_03]: No, he doesn't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: He doesn't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: Michael.
[SPEAKER_08]: So Ryan, sometimes copy is written just for you.
[SPEAKER_08]: I add he's been using vintage to sell his clothes.
[SPEAKER_08]: So suddenly cleaning out your closet isn't a charge to treasure hunt.
[SPEAKER_08]: You make some extra money.
[SPEAKER_08]: Your old clothes get a second life and for the first time in years, you can actually see the back of your closet.
[SPEAKER_08]: So what's hiding in your closet?
[SPEAKER_08]: What's in your wallet?
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I'm stupid.
[SPEAKER_08]: Don't see.
[SPEAKER_08]: There I am again.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's saturation.
[SPEAKER_08]: Download the Vinted app for free and start listing today.
[SPEAKER_08]: There are no sellers fees.
[SPEAKER_08]: You keep everything you're in and for a limited time.
[SPEAKER_08]: There's free shipping in the US.
[SPEAKER_08]: Clean out the closet, make some extra money, and give your clothes a second life with Vinted.
[SPEAKER_08]: So there's free shipping in the US.
[SPEAKER_08]: I send almost all my hand me down to Canada.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is that going to work for me?
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and also it doesn't matter that you buy most of your clothes from China.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, China, China, China, China, China.
[SPEAKER_06]: Can we do the thing?
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, do the thing to do.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, very good.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I like that some beautiful video.
[SPEAKER_08]: Jerry.
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike, I don't know it's because we've announced the final show, but sometimes I just get reflective.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think back of some of the times we've shared together, and I thought about my favorite Halloween costume you ever dressed up as, and that was Wolf Man Jack.
[SPEAKER_06]: And the only reason I bring it up is that I just want to show you a clip of the Wolfman, and it is from hold on 1975 to prove to you that there was no cocaine being used on the show, the Midnight Special.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_16]: In 1975, Perth Output came out of his briefly tired to host the Midnight Special.
[SPEAKER_16]: In addition to doing some new songs from his album, he did a medley of some of the
[SPEAKER_08]: He is out of his mind, that voice.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I know.
[SPEAKER_08]: And that, you know, I never was someone who looked at Wolfman Jack and said, I wanna be that guy.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, but I certainly as a kid, who I was saying, hey, I know that guy.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's the Wolfman, you know, that type of thing.
[SPEAKER_06]: I got to meet him once and he was amazingly cool.
[SPEAKER_08]: He was so nice to me and Rabbi, you do it, did he sound like that when he told you.
[SPEAKER_06]: I have an autograph from him on my copy of American graffiti and he wrote, Hey, Rob Baby, and he wrote a boy, he drew a wolf and he signed his name.
[SPEAKER_06]: He was awesome.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's really cool.
[SPEAKER_06]: I think when you meet radio people, they are more often to disappoint than movie stars.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, there's a, I had a cartoon for years on my refrigerator that shows a kid sitting there crying at the kitchen table and the mother standing over him in the cabin of the cartoons as don't worry son.
[SPEAKER_08]: I remember when I saw my first disjacking so true.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike, I know we could talk more and more about vaccinations, but let's talk about the real big news story this week.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's fat bear week.

[SPEAKER_15]: The big bear taking home the top prize here he is.
[SPEAKER_15]: He's number 89.

[SPEAKER_15]: Park officials say Backpack is known for his quiet toughness and his pacifist nature.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's amazing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Two years ago, Fat Bear was one by Al Roker, you know, usually when you spend a lot of time in front of the camera, your skills get developed.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, Jennifer's not in that category in my opinion.
[SPEAKER_08]: Jennifer Hager, please.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, sorry about that, Erhubby.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, um, so let's close with this and I'm so glad that we can do this because this will definitely cleanse your palate.
[SPEAKER_06]: I feel that when we discuss Charlie Callis on Monday show, uh, the tape that we presented at Charlie Callis did not really represent the talent.
[SPEAKER_08]: Could not agree more.
[SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_06]: I did a little research and I found one of my favorite callis bits and this is the one he calls the afflicted man on the telephone joke.
