[SPEAKER_11]: It's got to be fucking looking at my phone.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's plenty for everyone.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the Michael Mera Show with Michael Mera.
[SPEAKER_03]: Bye!
[SPEAKER_03]: Josh Rooka.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Rob Spiewack.
[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, Rob.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's only the beginning.
[SPEAKER_03]: And now, here's Mike.
[SPEAKER_06]: So what's your podcast about?
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'll tell you, I don't know from one day to the next.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know whether it's going to be weird or it's going to be interesting or it's going to be sad or it's going to be exciting.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be exhilarating.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have to lead with not me, but my son, Murgle, get in here.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, he's actually going to show up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's early.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's coming in.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's coming up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I just busted a ass to get to get him here, you know, for the, uh, sure you're going to have to lean down.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's, uh, let's hide.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go with the wider shot.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to put the head there?
[SPEAKER_02]: That's going to mess up.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to do that.
[SPEAKER_10]: What kind of fish hook did that?
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to miss the, uh, championship.
[SPEAKER_10]: That sucks.
[SPEAKER_02]: The golf tournament at the end.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have those on the floor?
[SPEAKER_02]: Take time.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm only doing a show here.
[SPEAKER_10]: We should say for our audio listeners that a Michael has presented a cast on his is it his left arm?
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you don't want to risk because the thumb is wrapped up, too.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to tell the right arm right there.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to tell the boys what happened, please?
[SPEAKER_02]: What did that do?
[SPEAKER_04]: So, in the championship game, last weekend we'll...
[SPEAKER_09]: Baseball.
[SPEAKER_04]: Baseball, yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: There was a play at the play, and if you don't know, I play catcher, so...
[SPEAKER_04]: it was it was really close and I was holding on to my glove with two hands of the ball when it popped out and it was the biggest kid on their team and his metal spike went into my finger and then it also pushed back on my glove and my thumb bent all the way back so that's what happened he was out but well that's all that matters yeah you got the tag
[SPEAKER_10]: So it it sucks on a scale of one to ten ten being absolutely excruciating.
[SPEAKER_10]: How much did it hurt like a seven you know just I mean I know I'm just your godfather I'm not a blood relative, but very seldom do you get injuries like that in theater arts But how quickly did the pain come because you had to have some adrenaline some adrenaline
[SPEAKER_04]: immediately.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_10]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_10]: All right.
[SPEAKER_10]: Did you go to the same person that helped you with the fish hook?
[SPEAKER_10]: Because if you go there two more times this month they name a sandwich out.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can remember this is kind of a theme that we have here with your injuries, you know, but but you hate it, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: You hate it already.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm annoying.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's so annoying.
[SPEAKER_09]: So the huge test is all for the thumb.
[SPEAKER_04]: All for the thumb.
[SPEAKER_04]: I hate it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a tiny, tiny, tiny little fracture, just a little hairline thing, but they wanted to immobilize it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then rightly so, because the trainer at his school, the high school trainer, that he went, that they sent him down there, which kind of cool, that it's such a sports school, that they can go down to that place and get looked at.
[SPEAKER_02]: They put it in a splint and then you woke up this morning and you're splint, not only gone,
[SPEAKER_02]: Couldn't find it in your bed.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, no, that's bad.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think it's in one of your body cavities or anything?
[SPEAKER_02]: Like between two pillows or anything like that?
[SPEAKER_04]: I have no idea.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it hasn't turned up since you got back home.
[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_10]: One time after a dental procedure, Michael, don't feel bad.
[SPEAKER_10]: I had a lot of like a dental putty holding a tooth in place and when I woke up, I had swallowed it.
[SPEAKER_10]: So I mean, these things happened in the dead of night.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: It came out of the wash.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I hope you don't see it the same way.
[SPEAKER_10]: I found the dental buddy, but that cast that.
[SPEAKER_09]: That cast makes it hard to play baseball hard to go off at a golf video games.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get a fishing trip in two weeks.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to Island Marada with some friends for fishing for the week and the one.
[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, okay, bring it back to me.
[SPEAKER_10]: Do kid, you know, his cast is sort of like a royal blue cow vibe lately.
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you going through that?
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you going through that?
[SPEAKER_10]: That, that, everything's like, man, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that
[SPEAKER_02]: the lady to put the cast on.
[SPEAKER_02]: I bet she was great.
[SPEAKER_02]: She starts doing it and I'm video taping and I said, okay, if I video tissue, if I suppose, great answer.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then later on it was like can they sign of, so are they can they sign the cast?
[SPEAKER_02]: It's up to the parents.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, bye.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, bye, bye.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
[SPEAKER_10]: What she wearing a button that said medical professional, because that's the way she kind of handled it on.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a drag.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was a drag.
[SPEAKER_09]: If you before, where she gave permission, but the parents said no.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have no idea.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was careful.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a very careful.
[SPEAKER_10]: I hate careful.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a very careful.
[SPEAKER_02]: only game in town environment is what I got from it to 100% very you know what but that all that is bullshit and it doesn't matter what matters is the medical care correct rob that's what really matters it does matter good at that and he's got his cast on that still I hate careful I mean I don't want them to be careful with the treatment but like I guess procedure and protocol I came into the show today actually just calming down from a trip to the post office
[SPEAKER_10]: People be better.
[SPEAKER_10]: I just have to ask you to be better because all I needed to do was mail one package.
[SPEAKER_10]: Pay the postage and send it off.
[SPEAKER_10]: It had already been taped up.
[SPEAKER_10]: It had been addressed.
[SPEAKER_10]: It was ready to go.
[SPEAKER_10]: There was maybe six people in front of me.
[SPEAKER_10]: And everybody, I look forward to digging into it.
[SPEAKER_10]: Everybody really, really delivery.
[SPEAKER_10]: Mike, it's what it is.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's called a, it's a package for you called photographs and memories.
[SPEAKER_02]: Photographs and memories.
[SPEAKER_10]: But everybody showed up and I'd say half of them just had like their thing that they wanted to mail and of label and like,
[SPEAKER_10]: bubble wrap and they just put it on the counter in front of the postal worker and then like shrug like now what do I do?
[SPEAKER_10]: Do you realize how simple it is to mail a package?
[SPEAKER_10]: Yes, there's nothing super easy it should not be nothing to it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, people are dumb.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so getting back to this whole thing
[SPEAKER_02]: of an ordeal it can be.
[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, these are, I do not put these in the category of problems whatsoever.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're at a baseball tournament with our son.
[SPEAKER_02]: We couldn't be happier that he's playing.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's great.
[SPEAKER_02]: But.
[SPEAKER_02]: when you live in an area like I do first of all you are blessed to have fall baseball that you can actually play through I think we play through December I think it's actually that and it's great for kids that want to be baseball players or play whatever they want to play in sports because they get more time to do it in our wonderful area however this past fall late summer early fall has been
[SPEAKER_02]: one of the most consistent rain patterns that I've ever seen in Southwest Florida, and it is every day.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is every day.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is on and it is off.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is on and it is off.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we had more rain delays where it was a couple more frustrated with that.
[SPEAKER_10]: The kids are the parents.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm both in this case because it's so much time and you have a 1230 game.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't even, I am so brainwashed by it, and when I say brainwashed, I mean, I'm just blank.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, I can't give you the times and the delays.
[SPEAKER_02]: It just was on and on and on, and we were all there.
[SPEAKER_02]: He had a birthday party to go to, and one of the birthday kind of kids, one of his best friends.
[SPEAKER_02]: that he was looking forward to and of course as opposed to having an eight o'clock game and a new game we had a new game in a four thirty game the new game started at two thirty and the evening game by seven thirty.
[SPEAKER_02]: we were in our second rain delay or maybe our fifth rain delay and I said that's it they're going to cancel and I'm out of here and then they ended up playing while we were on the highway going home and I felt guilt I felt all that but it's just like
[SPEAKER_02]: He went to his party, then we were back in at 8 o'clock in the morning, and then we won that game, and then we won the other game, and then we played in the championship game, and it's 7 o'clock 8 o'clock at night.
[SPEAKER_02]: My son looked like he had been dragged through the dirt by a horse in carriage, because he was a filthy from head to toe, and of course his thumb was broken at the time.
[SPEAKER_02]: We just did it.
[SPEAKER_02]: was a thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's great, but it was a thing.
[SPEAKER_10]: And, you know, you shouldn't as a parent that is involved as you are.
[SPEAKER_10]: And someone who really does go the extra mile to make sure things happen, not just for your son, but for the team.
[SPEAKER_10]: They shouldn't make it feel like the organization is opposition.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they just make it hard for you.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not there, but because it's,
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it is a feature of it's all weather that there's nothing you can do you there's that they've got to get But when they when they look like they're going to call the game, but they play the game after that after people leave that's their fault I heard from one of the moms that the reason they didn't say come back and do it all tomorrow that in the event that you can you cancel one of the games on a Saturday You have to get half the money back
[SPEAKER_02]: That's why they would, you know, uh, they would play it, but he doesn't have to cancel and then they're never can't.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're never going to can't.
[SPEAKER_02]: The coach wanted him to, but at that point it went on and on, but I sprung him, we all felt guilty.
[SPEAKER_02]: The team was great.
[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't get any blowback for that at all.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: They ended up winning.
[SPEAKER_02]: We got seated and we had a winning and then we played in the championship game, which was, uh, a lot of fun and, you know, we're the few.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can only put it this way.
[SPEAKER_02]: On Sunday with a few minor rules modifications in the gallery, I was able to enjoy with some of the other parents a rather nice day.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was the fate.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, like was day?
[SPEAKER_02]: It was very, yeah, well, there was a, it wasn't just raining in the sky.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was just raining.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was fun.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was fun in there.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're a great group.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't get that every time it's Josh will tell you.
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't get the great group of parents.
[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes you get parents
[SPEAKER_10]: And a long-term positive is once word gets around that your son broke his thumb and still got the guy out.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, I put it on the thread for the team.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's going to, but it will continue to spread.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's going to become something of a legend in the hero.
[SPEAKER_10]: Cause that's pretty great.
[SPEAKER_10]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[SPEAKER_10]: Legend in the hero.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's no, because it's because it happened all the time.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's all the time.
[SPEAKER_09]: But it will get happen.
[SPEAKER_09]: Is it goes on his record as he can hold onto the ball?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and a catcher you can count on.
[SPEAKER_02]: He made a tag.
[SPEAKER_10]: I made sure I put that in the thread too that he he made the tag What if he was sort of just sort of augment his record like he nearly lost his arm?
[SPEAKER_02]: most of the parents were aware now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: At the end, we had, uh, we had the walking wounded during this weekend.
[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, the 35 rain delays that we endured.
[SPEAKER_02]: The full day on Saturday and the full day.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, a full day on Sunday.
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, there was a kid that could hardly walk.
[SPEAKER_02]: because he was rough housing in the dugout and twisted his ankle, probably sprained his ankle.
[SPEAKER_02]: Then we had a second baseman and a right fielder to have our best players dead on collision.
[SPEAKER_02]: The knee of the second baseman went into the eye socket of the right fielder.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the ball and the contusion I guess it's called that was on the kid's knee.
[SPEAKER_02]: I said, My God, how to get that?
[SPEAKER_02]: Did he hit, did you go knee to knee?
[SPEAKER_02]: I said, he said, no, I went knee to face.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I see the other kid in the other case has the shiner with the bloodshot eye.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was, I mean, this might as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: have been a football tournament because it was it was insane and it was it's it's baseball and they're bigger and they're stronger and they're getting hurt now so that's the way it goes and we have one kid I think in two weeks gets another cast off his best buddy Nick and then Michael gets his cast off in three weeks or two weeks.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have no idea.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're just paying the cast is there to immobilize the thumb.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess that's what cast are for in general.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so that was the morning that we had today.
[SPEAKER_10]: At least it's a good story.
[SPEAKER_10]: The last broken bone in our family was when Robert broke his foot.
[SPEAKER_10]: uh... playing basketball because he was wearing crocs uh... and so at least my class of better story that's yeah that's yeah that's the basketball and crocs not totally unusual though you would hurt yourself a lot but dad i ended the strap i said that's great son but you probably shouldn't be playing basketball and crocs all right strap or no strap you probably needed the strap
[SPEAKER_02]: Could be I all I know it so they say maybe nine months of continuous baseball isn't the best idea for kids oh, but it's 12 months it's a 12 months really it is it says Simmons don't worry about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's I think this happens whether it's three months or whether that's two months or whether it's whatever.
[SPEAKER_02]: you know, it happens.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what happened in one game.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it was interesting, a sports or a big part of our life down here, baseball in the playoffs.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is red hot.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a trip to the pediatric orthopedic center was fun right after my trip to the doctor for the finger infection.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the right one that I've got?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's the finger infection that I have
[SPEAKER_02]: and so i'm supposed to be treating that it seems to be working the little antibiotics stuff that i'm putting on it are using a cream or a pen it's a little lotion it's a little uh little uh ointment that i put on there and if that doesn't work i have to go to the major doctor at the dermatologist to see if i have finger cancer that's that's essentially what even a thing it sure's i didn't know it
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know it, but yeah, we'll find it on WebMD because you're always just a few close away from the front.
[SPEAKER_02]: From a PA who said in the event that this doesn't do the trick, the comeback and then they're going to have to do a biopsy.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the whole thing, I have no fucking idea.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just so tired of, this is the time of year down here where we have our regular annual physical and I get stuff done.
[SPEAKER_02]: I should probably do it in the middle of the summer when nobody's here, but that's that's that's what it is.
[SPEAKER_10]: But who has the fourth thought to get sick when in the middle of the summer and who has the time to soak?
[SPEAKER_10]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_10]: I hope it's not finger cancer, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I sure do too, Rob.
[SPEAKER_02]: I really, really do, but I think this is going to agree there.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is already making a difference.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's good, but I need to put it on again.
[SPEAKER_10]: Years and years of just massaging the cream in our upon hour, that'll help.
[SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean years and years?
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, I mean, we just hope it goes away soon.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if it's years in here, if it doesn't work in like two weeks, I got to go back and see the doctor again.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's like 14 days of putting a putting this thing on.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Rob, you keep showing us and you know back up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you take it personally when I do that?
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, but I think some people might remember Mike is not just us.
[SPEAKER_10]: There's listeners out there.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Simmons.
[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so anyway, it's great to be here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Michael Mary show.
[SPEAKER_02]: We got it.
[SPEAKER_02]: We went right out of the gate.
[SPEAKER_02]: We had the the story of the day.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now Rob was going to talk to me about, you know, the the main market for the Donna Mike show was Washington D.C.
[SPEAKER_02]: And everybody had to, and by the way, does it appear that Dark is that Josh is doing the show from a dark room?
[SPEAKER_10]: No, he just, I think he's dark because of the hoody.
[SPEAKER_10]: I think that is the thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think the light first of all, Rob is deaf and blind, so he won't be able to, you're dark, you're dark and you're picture.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let me turn on my light.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, turn on the light so we can see you, please.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm not as deaf as you say, but I am blind, and I have scheduled surgery to correct this.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're all falling pants for this he and the Carolinas is that way.
[SPEAKER_10]: I didn't realize he was wearing green pants.
[SPEAKER_10]: I guess that's good luck for him.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know what he was like.
[SPEAKER_10]: Did that help you?
[SPEAKER_10]: It looks the same to me.
[SPEAKER_10]: It looks the same to me too.
[SPEAKER_02]: It looks the same to me too.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't worry about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: Everything will be fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: What was racist comment?
[SPEAKER_02]: What was racist comment?
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we haven't even gone to the racist comments yet.
[SPEAKER_11]: No, I'm saying somebody in the comment.
[SPEAKER_02]: What are you talking about me being dark?
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: Did Rob say something?
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I did.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, top of the hit parade before we get into the Jack's Redskins game is with still talking.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: You booked a guest for a still talking?
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that what you did?
[SPEAKER_09]: I did because we did this little Wonka cast thing.
[SPEAKER_09]: Right, broke down every episode of Wonka.
[SPEAKER_09]: And that gets the name of the judge.
[SPEAKER_09]: Wonka's the Golden Ticket.
[SPEAKER_09]: Wonka's the Golden Ticket.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's some show show show.
[SPEAKER_09]: It has started to get a lot of attention on that flex.
[SPEAKER_09]: And at the same time, the Wonka cast numbers have gone up along with it.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I said, let me reach out to one of these contestants that is like begging for attention and let's get her on as a guest and this is the reality show.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: So it's a reality show.
[SPEAKER_09]: So just a reality star who's now trying to make a name for herself.
[SPEAKER_10]: If you click on one of the participants say they're TikTok feed or they're Instagram feed, you will be deluge.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is there any problem to enjoy this?
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, since I am not involved in the Wanka cast or still talking, is there any chance I could see a picture of the individual?
[SPEAKER_09]: Did you book this person?
[SPEAKER_09]: So I, oh, you've already got a picture of her.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, that's her and her book.
[SPEAKER_09]: This is
[SPEAKER_09]: last week and we were scheduled to interview her this morning and it was going to go on still talking and go on the walk.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's very pretty.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, she has her point.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, Mike, I got to I then go to what does that mean?
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you'll say, I'll tell you because I got a text from her then on before you get to the text.
[SPEAKER_10]: We should say that more than one of the contestants on the reality show have replied to Josh reaching out saying, I can't believe you guys did it in
[SPEAKER_10]: about this show every episode got its own episode.
[SPEAKER_10]: They were like they said I can't believe you this into it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and so many of them feel flattered.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, okay.
[SPEAKER_09]: I've ever had messaged us with some behind the scenes stuff that we questioned during the show, which is an cool.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's that validates the idea.
[SPEAKER_09]: It does.
[SPEAKER_02]: By doing it that way, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: That you now connected to an Netflix show.
[SPEAKER_09]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I've got this girl Ava booked to hop on on Tuesday and yeah part of the idea is Ava Braun.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's not that easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not that easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's easy.
[SPEAKER_09]: which is all right.
[SPEAKER_09]: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, fact is Mike is when there are 24 contestants I think one of the things that's a good thing to do Can we get a better picture of this later?
[SPEAKER_02]: Can you find the course of a draw please?
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, picture of you.
[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, you know, when you see somebody that's one in 24, oftentimes you will grab onto one trait or one thing about them.
[SPEAKER_10]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: That makes them easy for you to start before you start.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have a dog in this fight.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're not involved in this podcast.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have my first reaction to seeing this lady with the picture you put up with she's hot.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's what I thought right away.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I want I want further evidence to prove my theory.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's hot and Rob was, was, are you, do you have anything?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I've got another picture right here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they all can we get fun a fucking close up of this person at all is that but maybe if you maybe If you look like ava you don't want to take your close up picture.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: See I think you're out of line I think she looks good.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, and part of it is
[SPEAKER_09]: Rob's hatred of women.
[SPEAKER_09]: Rob hates him and he's one of the great.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's not just a robbing dog.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm over our misogynists.
[SPEAKER_10]: I hate all 50 years.
[SPEAKER_10]: I hate all good looking people.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's sick.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's twisted.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what is that?
[SPEAKER_02]: Can we get a fucking picture of her that's normed there with her?
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's uh...
[SPEAKER_02]: She's interesting looking, she is interesting looking.
[SPEAKER_10]: So early on in the podcast, when I was trying to figure out a way to identify each of the 24 contestants, I mentioned she had a big nose, which she does, and you know what, that's fine.
[SPEAKER_10]: it really didn't become an issue until they got to the wallpaper licking contest where i was harping perhaps too much on the fact that she was operating in a disadvantage because if you have a nose that big you're not going to be able to lick the wallpaper i don't think it's close to it i don't think it's that big it's just a very different it's not that big
[SPEAKER_09]: It's not a big, but Rob just harps on it.
[SPEAKER_09]: He has to pick something about everyone.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because Rob will take a woman and Rob in on his best day.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: In high school wouldn't be able to get a date with a woman that looked like that.
[SPEAKER_10]: But you could stop, get a date.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, period, but so I can understand why and she would see you doing that.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, but also the entire show cast her as a spoiled brat that her dad buys everything for her.
[SPEAKER_09]: They don't make her a good person on the show.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's obviously not a nice person if she blew you guys well, and that's because she was pissed off and said a coming on and joking about in busting balls Right, she should have done right in the tour.
[SPEAKER_09]: She wants to build off this reality show Which means she's gonna have to accept people saying negative things about her and she could have came and had fun with it Instead What took the time to say that we were ugly to
[SPEAKER_02]: What what if you what if you did you did you make a yeah have you been relentless with the anose jokes?
[SPEAKER_02]: I would say relentless would be overstated.
[SPEAKER_10]: I would say it was a running That's a twice an episode.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, that's about 18 times 18 references to her big ugly nose
[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, and now you're going Well, she called us up.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're doubling down as they would say yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[SPEAKER_10]: She's being a word that I don't like to say I really love to see a clip I'd love to see video of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: You got to watch this show.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't have any intention of that
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a good show, my east of Eden and it didn't end as good as it started.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was fine.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
[SPEAKER_02]: I love a show and I don't like ending.
[SPEAKER_10]: Based on your recommendation, I started at this weekend.
[SPEAKER_10]: I also started watching Monster, the Lizzie Borden story, which is the fourth in that series.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's dark.
[SPEAKER_10]: There are...
[SPEAKER_10]: I watched so much dark turn of the century television dark turn of the century Oh my god, have you watched any of monster?
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh yeah, what's the whole thing?
[SPEAKER_02]: How about her dad making people fit in the coffin?
[SPEAKER_02]: I've had plenty of that
[SPEAKER_02]: They've got the, they've got almost a, uh, Carol Burnett star, uh, style cast of characters that they use on that series.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_10]: They do exactly a repertoire, a repertoire company.
[SPEAKER_02]: But your buddy, Marley, honey, my thought, you know, this got a little bit on anarchy is on it, and then they bring, you know, some people that have been on the previous episodes.
[SPEAKER_10]: Did you know that Lizzie herself is a nepo, baby?
[SPEAKER_10]: What do you mean?
[SPEAKER_10]: That's a net betting and Warren Bades daughter that plays that plays Lizzy Borden in that show monster.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh really?
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, and if you look at her eyes, she's got a little betting going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: didn't see that at all though.
[SPEAKER_10]: If you were to go back and watch like one of the scenes where the performing turn of the century operations on each other and the blood and oh and the flies and the doves.
[SPEAKER_10]: But you'll see the Benny.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well done.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean a well done horror series really, really scary.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think you could either bother the evil stepmother the best part of the movie.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now you want to talk about somebody who I find.
[SPEAKER_02]: attractive.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I'm with you.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm with you.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_10]: Perfect.
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect.
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: What would you think?
[SPEAKER_02]: I wish I remembered your name.
[SPEAKER_10]: If you miss his board.
[SPEAKER_10]: If you got the proper people and technology together, do you think you could intercut Lizzy board and monster with east of Eden and make it into one show?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I do too.
[SPEAKER_10]: It looks the same.
[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't it one's in the country, but you want to know Lizzy Borton took an ax gave her mother 40 wax when she saw what she had done gave her father 41.
[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a real crime scene photo of the dad.
[SPEAKER_02]: after he got attacked by her and she got she was a quit it she was she was a quit it they which I'm not sure why she was a quit it but she was a quit it a great boy it was Fly Bailey's first case and he was able to make sure she's served none time
[SPEAKER_02]: But you're right.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm ready for something a little bit different.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, when I went to bed last night, I just started to replay my head, the amount of dark television I watched.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a lot of, well, that's who he are now.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but I think there's been that crap around forever.
[SPEAKER_10]: I think that's what we're going to have few trending shows like that.
[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, Sunday night, I ended.
[SPEAKER_10]: I said, well, Kerry, I'm going to bed.
[SPEAKER_10]: You can continue watching the vomit show if you want.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, but I'm going to bed.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just for the past 10 last so.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, pretty horrible.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, do we have a clip of it?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm making you work like a dog up in the Carolina right now, but I'm just curious, I would love to see a video of the lady that got mad at Rob.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, hey, if we can, if we can, if we run, yeah, you want to say that that's terrible and then she'll really like that's like a Jerry that's like a Jerry Lewis joke.
[SPEAKER_11]: He would always run.
[SPEAKER_10]: Avah had an interesting relationship with her dim-witted father on the show.
[SPEAKER_02]: Then he referred to him as the dim-witted father.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think even Josh led the charge on that one.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, he's an idiot.
[SPEAKER_09]: At one point, she is yelling at him about how he played the game.
[SPEAKER_09]: And he's just sitting there eating candy.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, when Jeff just says baruka salt is that kind of a baruka salt.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, baruka salt and her to be.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, is that's what they're trying to make people the evil.
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, they go when they go to clips to dad and the confessionally says, well, it doesn't really matter what happens to me as long as Ava gets her way.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'll do anything it takes so that Ava is happy.
[SPEAKER_10]: So he says, yeah, so I mean, I've maybe not even talked about what that's what he said.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think that now that to me wreaks of producer?
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it is so pretty content.
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_02]: He wants her to be the evil brat.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, like the wanker.
[SPEAKER_10]: But the one thing that the producers did not make happen that happened naturally is that Put a video up.
[SPEAKER_10]: Is there no her idiot father?
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, there are no clips on YouTube.
[SPEAKER_10]: Now I'm going and trying to find her personal like tinktock to get into a video.
[SPEAKER_10]: On the set of the golden ticket reality program they put candy everywhere because in the show they're they're locked in Wonka's factory, right?
[SPEAKER_10]: So really what her dad does is he wanders around.
[SPEAKER_10]: She's a canyver.
[SPEAKER_10]: She is what we might call a climber She really wants to play the game and win But the father not so much Most of the show he wanders around eating candy even when she's yelling at him.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's so fast on candy
[SPEAKER_02]: He's just dim.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, he's dim.
[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't really know what he's doing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Or he's a horrible drug.
[SPEAKER_02]: Or he's pretending to be dim.
[SPEAKER_10]: No, I mean, some people might do that on a reality show, but I think he came by and honestly.
[SPEAKER_10]: He did horrible in the honey beach challenge.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so uh, is she's man at you with what does this mean you're not gonna get any other Uh, no, I don't think so I think that uh, ever it is there's somebody that hates her that might come on.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll show it Dr. Water.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I think most people hate her.
[SPEAKER_09]: All right, so there's a clip from her from her tick-tock So I'm gonna show all right.
[SPEAKER_09]: Let's go, but the camera angle does a good job to help Rob out.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, all right here we go
[SPEAKER_10]: Wow, it's so likable.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, wow.
[SPEAKER_09]: I didn't approve of the song before.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know how many of you did that.
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, I mean, that might be, I mean, we didn't choose the song.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: Ava chose this.
[SPEAKER_09]: Apparently that's a talk for you.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's something.
[SPEAKER_10]: But you can see the nose there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and a big girl's and a big gooey frapp for an issue is it's the internet folks We can't control everything that slides out there.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a boy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh boy.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm speechless.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I'm you know what?
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm sorry that it would prove to be a stumbling block for the new show But I am not sorry that she proved what she's really made us talk and
[SPEAKER_02]: is going to continue the the wonka is not a not that's not going to be forever that's based on the show you're doing kind of a sister podcast to the show have any of the I would imagine that you know something good could come of that uh wonka thing with producers became aware well my favorite player uh from episode one was ever it and he actually uh he was the one that reached out with a list of
[SPEAKER_09]: like so he is I think he's appreciative of the show but also he's a favorite one thing Rob kept bringing up every episode is if when the camera goes off if the cast members are hulking up yeah one sex he would kept referring to one sex we'll don't we all ask that on a real good nice behind the scene story about that not happening and how one couple tried it and then
[SPEAKER_10]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, they all had to be in their own twin beds at night.
[SPEAKER_02]: And is it the voice of an AI voice of Gene Wilder?
[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, what do we have here?
[SPEAKER_09]: This is more of her.
[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let me get me.
[SPEAKER_09]: But she has any racial Phil I don't use it against.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_09]: I turn the sound off.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think that's a good good because I don't know what she's talking about.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think she's extremely attractive.
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, the lighting is very dim, though.
[SPEAKER_10]: What is wrong with you?
[SPEAKER_09]: What is wrong with you?
[SPEAKER_09]: No reason for this.
[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, he just decided early on in the show.
[SPEAKER_02]: He hates hot women.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he always has.
[SPEAKER_02]: He always has.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like it never makes sense to me.
[SPEAKER_10]: Maybe it's because of the way hot women treat me.
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you been shit on by hot women throughout your high school life?
[SPEAKER_10]: Certainly never praised by hot women.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, what praise were you looking for you?
[SPEAKER_02]: Doldard, what the hell it's going on?
[SPEAKER_10]: Mike, I'm not a bright man.
[SPEAKER_02]: You have a 130 zig-zag cue.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, yeah, but that's not what chicks dig.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, right, I get it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I get it.
[SPEAKER_10]: Maybe I had a 136 nose.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I believe now what Rob want is for me to book an Impalimpa.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's the angle we're going for.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do they have an Impalimpa?
[SPEAKER_09]: Nine of them.
[SPEAKER_09]: Nine of them.
[SPEAKER_10]: like it'll people well here's the thing my they've got it's explained in episode one by the virtual reality voice of genewilder umpa lymphas now come in all shapes and sizes so there are some little people but then there's also the really the one I want and I found him on Instagram my sent Josh's his link is the guy we called sexy umpa lumpa
[SPEAKER_10]: who was a tall, thin, magician in real life, that did all the influence of tricks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let me say this.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you could do any better job of promoting this podcast than you've done right now.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's pretty spectacular.
[SPEAKER_09]: I will really, really pass, is better than the Wanka show.
[SPEAKER_10]: 100% and if you watch Wonka cast and you've got a I'm sorry if you watch the Wonka reality show right you build up ahead of steam of how much you hate it and then you watch our reaction to it we are going to be synthetic you're only nice to Tom boys that's her
[SPEAKER_10]: No, I don't think that's true.
[SPEAKER_10]: And what would, if he could cite an example, I would love that because I think that's sort of a broad stroke there.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know any of the example of that.
[SPEAKER_10]: So Rolando, prove yourself.
[SPEAKER_02]: It says, say it, Rob.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what's going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you know what, I've done.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've learned it.
[SPEAKER_10]: W-w-w-dot, WalkerCast, dot com.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good promotion.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll take your short break and come back with a lot of significant news from 1600 Pennsylvania, I think we'll do that right after this everybody.

[SPEAKER_02]: We have a breaking news this afternoon from the White House that they publicly asked for U.S.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Gilfoyles resignation.
[SPEAKER_02]: They did that today as she faced mounting accusations
[SPEAKER_02]: of improper conduct, and she announced within two hours that she was quitting, ending days of talking speculation about her professional fate, Gilphoil insisted that she would vigorously defend herself.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm glad you brought this up, Mike, because in the last segment, people said I don't like beautiful women, and I love Kimberly Gilphoil.
[SPEAKER_02]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, apparently she's no tomboy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like asking for money and corrupt and corruption.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what the idea.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'd like to see the proof.
[SPEAKER_02]: She was engaged to Don Jr.
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that?
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, that's right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And she dated Gavin Newsom, Governor of California.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, she gets it right on.
[SPEAKER_02]: She does.
[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting lady.
[SPEAKER_02]: And if the lady, if the lady, President Trump is facing bi-partisan criticism over a controversial Russian oil deal, the agreement with allow Russian diesel fuel to enter the Montesal Robb.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to say a word.
[SPEAKER_10]: You do the story with Josh.
[SPEAKER_02]: Allow a Russian diesel to enter the market despite sanctions related to Russia's war against Ukraine.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't get it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Russian oil gets you more mileage.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I know.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's Russian mileage.
[SPEAKER_02]: Critics argue that the arrangement could provide Moscow with additional revenue while American policy is supposed to pressure the Kremlin.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I thought.
[SPEAKER_11]: Pressure.
[SPEAKER_02]: The president defended the deal on Monday.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the opposition isn't coming just from Democrats.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some Republicans are also raising concerns.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's an awkward political question.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can Washington pressure Russia over Ukraine while also making exceptions that could benefit the Russian economy?
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't think we should get away from crude oil and start using gulf oil.
[SPEAKER_02]: Robb's view, eh?
[SPEAKER_02]: Good night.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good night.
[SPEAKER_07]: Good night.
[SPEAKER_02]: Cards and letters.
[SPEAKER_10]: See what that is like.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's karma.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm like Mark Russell.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, you are.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you really are.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Several agents have searched the Washington, D.C. home or representative Ilon Omar, the Minnesota Democrat and first Somali American woman elected to Congress.
[SPEAKER_02]: The reasons for the search have not been fully explained publicly.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Omar has described the action as part of what she calls.
[SPEAKER_02]: a political intimidation campaign.
[SPEAKER_02]: The development comes just weeks before the November midterm elections, making it particularly sensitive.
[SPEAKER_02]: The important distinction here is that a search does not by itself prove wrongdoing, but what wrongdoing is there even any wrongdoing?
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it doesn't mean that a judge had to approve that there's something worth looking into.
[SPEAKER_10]: it means a corrupt judge maybe had to approve that somebody said something about someone or something.
[SPEAKER_10]: So let's take a peek.
[SPEAKER_02]: When federal law enforcement and a prominent elected official collide in an already polarized political climate, the questions about transparency, evidence, and the independence of the justice system become even more important.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, stay tuned for that one.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you James Miloy for the super chat.
[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate that very, very nice stay tune for all the other stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: We have no idea what's going on.
[SPEAKER_02]: So media is once again demonstrating how quickly a universe and an unverified claim can become an national political story.
[SPEAKER_02]: Or Elon Musk amplified an unfounded claim about James Tallarico, a Democratic Senate candidate in Texas.
[SPEAKER_02]: The claim gained traction after Tallarico was absent from the campaign trail.
[SPEAKER_02]: His campaign said he had the flu.
[SPEAKER_02]: Online speculation then moved beyond his health and Musk publicly suggested the campaign was hiding something.
[SPEAKER_02]: The larger issue is the power of a single post from someone with a massive following.
[SPEAKER_02]: A rumor can reach millions of people before reporters have verified it, and a correction rarely travels as far as the original accusation.
[SPEAKER_02]: With control of the Senate at stake in November, the ability to distinguish fact from viral speculation is becoming a major campaign issue.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't even know what the speculation is about.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't think I'd be doing my job if I didn't ask you this, Mike.
[SPEAKER_10]: Back in the day, that candidate wasn't he supported by Jack Kent Cook.
[SPEAKER_09]: I love it, I think he's fantastic, and he's got a situation, the speculation is, did he have a flu for 14 days or was he in a mental health place?
[SPEAKER_09]: That's what's wrong back and forth.
[SPEAKER_09]: So total bullshit.
[SPEAKER_10]: I hate when Brianna is good to a mental health place.
[SPEAKER_10]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it's not a mental hospital, I don't know what it's called now.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want the criminal in Texas.
[SPEAKER_02]: The guy in Texas is the worst candidate.
[SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean either?
[SPEAKER_02]: Like they're both bad guys.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's one guy that's like a good Christian.
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't like Talarico.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't Christian.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think he's a good Christian.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think a lot of this shit doesn't have enough of my things.
[SPEAKER_11]: Oh God.
[SPEAKER_11]: You're so wrong.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, as a baby, he has a huge nose.
[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus Christ.
[SPEAKER_02]: Help me.
[SPEAKER_02]: Help me, Rhonda.
[SPEAKER_02]: A fatal roller coaster accident at six flags over Georgia has prompted temporary closures of nine similar rides across six flags parks in the United States.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a good ride this, Rhonda.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's the Glyath.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's a four wide roller coaster that has inversions but no loops.
[SPEAKER_02]: I identify the man who died is 42-year-old Hassan Jihad, Ibn Karim of a teacher of Atlanta.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's a teacher in Atlanta.
[SPEAKER_02]: Preliminary information in the case he was ejected from the Goliath coaster on Monday, and witnesses reported seeing him fall from the moving train.
[SPEAKER_02]: Investigators are working to determine exactly what happened.
[SPEAKER_02]: Would he have fallen?
[SPEAKER_10]: Based on the thing going upside down, I think my initial thought and trust me, I've ridden a lot of coasters.
[SPEAKER_10]: I think he was munking somehow with the restraint system.
[SPEAKER_10]: If you pay attention and do the restraint system, the way it's designed on those coasters, you're not going anywhere.
[SPEAKER_10]: I would love to know exactly what happened.
[SPEAKER_02]: What are you basing this opinion on?
[SPEAKER_10]: Because I've ridden a lot of roller coasters.
[SPEAKER_10]: And I mean, for example, there is one that I ride that I love.
[SPEAKER_10]: Remember, he's an ambassador.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like defending no co-ster not defending big poster.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm sure evidence whatsoever you don't know what happened on the ride Mike if you there is a ride called twisted timbers that you spend more time out of your seat than you do in it because of the speed of the hills but you're not going anywhere because of the restraint system
[SPEAKER_02]: And also, but I make sure you think he was munkying with it with your scientific knowledge.
[SPEAKER_10]: I think that he was not obeying the rules that were laid out to him.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's my thought.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's my original thought.
[SPEAKER_02]: But has anyone speculated on that?
[SPEAKER_09]: We know he broke the rules because he got out of the car.
[SPEAKER_10]: Now, if you want to know something that is the most tragic thing of all that is not funny, Josh, all right.
[SPEAKER_10]: Mike, Mike, this is not funny.
[SPEAKER_10]: All right.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's funny when they evacuated the cars from the Goliath and they got people to exit from the coaster.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: The camera that takes pictures of you on the ride actually captured him falling like in the background.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: So that's, I mean, it's way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way,
[SPEAKER_10]: They offer pictures for purchase if you want to see what you look like.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm going to Disney, I know what you're talking about.
[SPEAKER_10]: So one of the pictures that was on display was actually him falling.
[SPEAKER_10]: That it actually captured it by the automatic camera on the coaster.
[SPEAKER_10]: My thought is this.
[SPEAKER_10]: if it was not the fault of him, why hasn't it happened before on a similar ride to people they're running literally.
[SPEAKER_10]: Are you under me?
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you moving if there's a chance that maybe like Kingston many might call you and offer you a gig or something is that what you're trying to do?
[SPEAKER_10]: What gig would I work?
[SPEAKER_10]: He kings dominion.
[SPEAKER_10]: PR?
[SPEAKER_10]: No, no, I don't want that.
[SPEAKER_10]: Last guy had got that job, I know died.
[SPEAKER_02]: be grateful.
[SPEAKER_02]: Who wants that?
[SPEAKER_02]: Investigators are working to determine exact.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a weird show.
[SPEAKER_02]: They are working to determine exactly what happened while the park says it is cooperating with authorities.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a good show, man.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_02]: Every day, every day, we just just like this.
[SPEAKER_09]: They'll protect the rollercoaster.
[SPEAKER_09]: Lean into the, that would never happen at Kings Dominion.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm not going to, I'm not taking any of the six flags on Brello or you.
[SPEAKER_10]: Mike, who owns what is not in pertinent right now?
[SPEAKER_02]: So they are not at all.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, of course, let's see the park season.
[SPEAKER_02]: You got to obey all the rules.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's nothing to say that he didn't say a su rob, all right, su rob family of Mr. teacher.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the park says it's cooperating with authorities.
[SPEAKER_02]: The other rides have been temporarily closed.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, safety reviews take place.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a sobering reminder that a amusement park safety depends on proper restraints, equipment inspections, and strict operating procedures by the park, not necessarily the customer.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, but remember he is unsupervised from the second he leaves the train station.
[SPEAKER_10]: He could be doing here a monster, I'm not monster, I want the truth, that's all I want.
[SPEAKER_10]: You can't handle the truth.
[SPEAKER_10]: And if it's far wide, why do the other people in his row, why were they okay?
[SPEAKER_02]: Until investigators establish the cause, it would be premature to speculate.
[SPEAKER_02]: Here, here, about what you say here, here to something you just did.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're saying here, like you agree, you were speculating about y'all.
[SPEAKER_02]: It would be premature to speculate about what went wrong.
[SPEAKER_02]: But we do know he landed on the haunted house.
[SPEAKER_02]: That really is, that is just a lie, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's true story.
[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't even lie when he's making a joke.
[SPEAKER_09]: No, it's true, it's true.
[SPEAKER_09]: Did he land in a boo hole?
[SPEAKER_09]: OK, stop it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Stop it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say one.
[SPEAKER_08]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Actress Selma Blair is back in the headlines after a judge issued a temporary protective order, requiring her to stay away from a nurse she allegedly attacked.
[SPEAKER_02]: The order reported Tuesday today, also prohibits contact with the nurse by phone, text, email, or other electronic means through October of 2027.
[SPEAKER_08]: Some of the players on the phone, I don't want it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Players a lawyer has, I'm trying to put
[SPEAKER_02]: Selma Blair in my mind right now for some reason I can't generate the image.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think a pretty pretty actress, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Selma Blair her lawyer knows has attributed her reported behavior during a recent airport incident to mis-medication, according to Entertainment News reports.
[SPEAKER_02]: The allegations are still a matter for the legal system and it's important not to confuse
[SPEAKER_02]: Right there, some are Blair, but it rakes your pills, folks, take your pills.
[SPEAKER_02]: It raises a broader question about celebrity personal struggles and public accountability.
[SPEAKER_02]: How much should the public know about a star's private health circumstances when an incident becomes a legal matter?
[SPEAKER_10]: Has anyone looked in to see if the nurse provoked her?
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, I noticed that she might have been munking with the patient.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I heard a rumor that several cast members that have worked with are on different TV shows say she can be a bit of a witch.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't prefer to as the Blair Witch.
[SPEAKER_02]: Josh.
[SPEAKER_02]: Scientists finally may never solve world peace, but at least someone is finally addressing the crisis of leftover pizzer.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_02]: A new taste test put five reheating methods to the test.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is, I love this, I love this, I love this, including the microwave, conventional oven, air fryer, skillet, and pizza stone.
[SPEAKER_02]: the microwave oven won the speed contest no surprise there but produced a softer sometimes soggy crust the air fryer did a better job of crispy things up while the pizza stone delivered the closest result to a fresh pie is that the pizza stone that goes into the oven is that what we're doing okay uh that's the fresh pie although it could take as long as 35 minutes uh that's a long time to wait
[SPEAKER_02]: in your underwear.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, one of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you might you're probably high.
[SPEAKER_02]: My question is in which method makes the best pizzer.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's why we're pretending left over pizza is a problem that needs solving it because we're stupid.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Most men over 50 have eaten cold pizza straight out of the refrigerator.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hi everybody.
[SPEAKER_02]: Cold pizza's great.
[SPEAKER_02]: while holding the door open using the light to see and convincing themselves that this counts as dinner.
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you've ever eaten a slice over the sink, so your wife wouldn't see the grease dripping on your shirt, you don't need a scientific study.
[SPEAKER_02]: You need no.
[SPEAKER_10]: Now Mike, I might have missed it in the story.
[SPEAKER_10]: What did they say about reheating in a skillet?
[SPEAKER_02]: Reheating in a skillet makes your nose grow longer.
[SPEAKER_10]: Ah, listen up, baby.
[SPEAKER_02]: There it is.
[SPEAKER_02]: We have to take break ladies and gentlemen.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you very much.
[SPEAKER_02]: We've got more show, show, show coming up for you because that's what we do.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ladies and gentlemen, if, oh, I can go back to the very beginning here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on just a second.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, there it is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, have you noticed how you're brain?
[SPEAKER_02]: You're brain-brained.
[SPEAKER_02]: Genome of the brain has a terrible office hours all day long.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're busy work, family, errands, bills, life.
[SPEAKER_02]: Then you finally get into bed.
[SPEAKER_02]: You turn out the lights and your brain says, great.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now that I have you, let's discuss everything that's wrong.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wrong, Bobby, Bobby, booty, body.
[SPEAKER_02]: uh... stress anxiety burnout that thing you said to somebody years years ago that you're still pretty sure sounded weird sometimes it helps talk to somebody the problem is finding the right somebody a licensed therapist you connect with
[SPEAKER_02]: who has an appointment available and who takes your insurance, that's where Rula comes in.
[SPEAKER_02]: Rula connects you with licensed therapists and mental health providers who are covered by insurance.
[SPEAKER_02]: They work with more than 100 insurance plans with average copays around $15 a session.
[SPEAKER_02]: Depending on your coverage, your co-pay could even be zero, Z-Bagle, zero great price.
[SPEAKER_02]: Rula helps match you with a provider based on your needs and preferences and appointments may be available as soon as tomorrow.
[SPEAKER_02]: So instead of spending hours searching provider lists, making phone calls and trying to figure out what your insurance actually covers, you can spend that time doing the thing you came for in the first place, talking to someone who can help.
[SPEAKER_02]: getting mental health care shouldn't become another source of stress.
[SPEAKER_02]: Visit ruler.com slash TMOs today to get started.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's R-U-L-A dot com slash T-M-O-S. Take care of your head, it's where you keep all your stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, ruler.
[SPEAKER_02]: R-U-L-A.
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you L-A-A-R-U-L-U-A-A-Big football weekend with the commanders taking on my New York Giants fan?
[SPEAKER_11]: A divisional rivalry, Mike?
[SPEAKER_11]: Who sucks worse?
[SPEAKER_02]: Who sucks worse?
[SPEAKER_02]: Who sucks worse?
[SPEAKER_02]: I have no perspective.
[SPEAKER_02]: Other than what I've seen on some of the pundit shows the sports talkers when it comes to this particular game that I know as a Giants fan we were very frustrated with the fumble at the end of the game when we were marching down towards the winning field goal and Mr. Tough guy, scam, scam, scataboo, uh, didn't hold on to the football, Mr. You're within range.
[SPEAKER_02]: and we were in the field range for that, although the field goal kicker had a bad day as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can only imagine that letting the clock run out at the end of the game had to be the talk of Washington yesterday.
[SPEAKER_10]: It is still today, Tuesday, the talk of Washington, can we look at the last 35, 40 seconds of the game so people can know exactly what went down.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, as you said, the Giants had it within their grasp, and they blew it.
[SPEAKER_10]: And the commanders, with very little time left and over time, had the opportunity to kick a field goal as well.
[SPEAKER_10]: They were also within range.
[SPEAKER_02]: One running back, three tight ends in the game.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's 27 seconds left.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in the game and they want to get back to that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Really, you know, it's going to be pretty conservative here.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're on a full goal.
[SPEAKER_02]: Make sure that you can get it in place.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to feel good and kick them nuts to kick it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
[SPEAKER_02]: What's that?
[SPEAKER_07]: Daniels.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's not passing the ball.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: They don't have the time out.
[SPEAKER_07]: What are they doing?
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, they're going to get him to spike it.
[SPEAKER_07]: They're not going to be able to get him to do it.
[SPEAKER_07]: They're not going to do it.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's going to run out of them.
[SPEAKER_07]: The clock ran out.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's dead.
[SPEAKER_07]: And it's ran that guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: That guy jumping up and down, D on Tay Banks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot about him in my opinion.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you're going that crazy over a tie to me, you're not, uh, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't like it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like it.
[SPEAKER_10]: I would have rather had a, I not for a thousand times.
[SPEAKER_10]: I would have rather have had a loss.
[SPEAKER_10]: As an as a K Manders fan, I would rather have a loss than a tie.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, because it's just so dissatisfied.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, just go to what I saw is that the commanders didn't know that was the end of the game.
[SPEAKER_09]: That they thought there was another quarter of overtime and they just didn't know the rules.
[SPEAKER_09]: And that would explain why you see them kind of standing around with 25 seconds, not many rocks.
[SPEAKER_10]: But still, why do you not spike the ball, stop the clock and go for a 40 yard field goal?
[SPEAKER_09]: Because you think you're just getting the ball right back for the next quarter.
[SPEAKER_10]: Also, because I've been screaming this for my entire life that if they would just get their special teams together, if they had gotten an extra point in the first quarter that they missed, this is a non-issue.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's a non-issue.
[SPEAKER_10]: This was trending on TikTok I believe this is tape that was filmed in the stands at the stadium as the game ended
[SPEAKER_02]: and, like, every great Washington fans and none of us know the rules.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, nobody knows, but they love standing in the rain because that's what we do in Washington, they're just standing because they don't know either.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they don't know the rules.
[SPEAKER_10]: First franchise ever.
[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, by the way, here's a look, I think it ought to be unlimited.
[SPEAKER_02]: time and the first like a sudden death right sudden death yes and the first person to score a touchdown not this business of you know you get a possession we get a possession then you can get the field goal or you don't get how about we just say the first team to score a touchdown.
[SPEAKER_02]: wins.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know that they've changed the rules of not a few goals because I get that because then it, then it then unfairly favors the receiving team that wins the coin toss, but you do it that way and then they still have to go down and score a touchdown.
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you get lucky and you get the coin toss and you get a touchdown, then you win.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't, the other team can still act to earn it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just a field goal, the field goal, touchdown thing, fucks it all up as far as that.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, Josh, you know, you're more of a rule guy than I think Josh, than Mike or I, in the recent past, hasn't it been a sudden death situation?
[SPEAKER_09]: They changed it a few years ago for a site in safety.
[SPEAKER_09]: But I think it's really about the TV markets.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I think it's about wrapping up the game to get to the next game.
[SPEAKER_10]: There's your NFL folks.
[SPEAKER_10]: There's a comedian that does social media name Bobby Finn.
[SPEAKER_10]: And he stuff crosses my feet every once in a while, normally it doesn't apply to me because I'm not a sports guy.
[SPEAKER_10]: But I like his analysis of the end of the game.
[SPEAKER_10]: This is his impression of the commander's coach speaking to the team.
[SPEAKER_08]: If we need a field goal to win the game, we're gonna try to get in a field goal range, which means when we're in field goal range with 13 seconds left, we're gonna kick the field goal.
[SPEAKER_08]: No!
[SPEAKER_08]: What do you think?
[SPEAKER_08]: Our offense is still on the field and the clock is running, which means you're gonna spike the ball to stop the clock in order to bring on the field goal team?
[SPEAKER_08]: No!
[SPEAKER_08]: Why are you not- You're gonna do a quick sideline pass to gain a few more yards and stop the clock?
[SPEAKER_08]: No!
[SPEAKER_08]: We're gonna snap the ball and do whatever you call this and get tackled in bounds with eight seconds left.
[SPEAKER_08]: which means you're gonna rush back to the line and spike the ball so your field goal team can come out and win you the game.
[SPEAKER_08]: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
[SPEAKER_11]: I it's because that's why I love it.
[SPEAKER_10]: It just makes you wonder folks.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Got a couple of people we really really like on this show and we love them and we'll talk about them when we come back because you know not only somebody who's celebrated a birthday but somebody we lost that we like a lot on the show we'll take a short one and come back with more fun on the Michael Mary show but first I want to tell you Josh is sad.
[SPEAKER_02]: Rob is sad, and here's why.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's bad news for all soul fans.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to say goodbye to a good thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Souls out of office THC gummies are going away, sad, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks to a new national hemp band taking effect December 11.
[SPEAKER_02]: These little gummies are about to become a thing of the past.
[SPEAKER_02]: Boo!
[SPEAKER_02]: Boo!
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, hiss hiss!
[SPEAKER_02]: For six years, Sol has offered a delicious alternative to alcohol, a nice relaxing buzz without the booze or the hangover, and with different strengths you can go from a little chill to full-on vacation mode, plus they're made with USA grown hemp, they're vegan, gluten-free, and low-end sugar, but here's the catch.
[SPEAKER_02]: After December 11, Sol can't sell him anymore.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that everybody that sells these kinds of things?
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a very popular THC.
[SPEAKER_02]: Who did this?
[SPEAKER_09]: Who do we blame?
[SPEAKER_09]: Who do we point to?
[SPEAKER_02]: Big alcohol.
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought so.
[SPEAKER_02]: Soul can't sell him anymore.
[SPEAKER_02]: So whether you're a long time fan of you've been meaning to give him a try.
[SPEAKER_02]: The clock is ticking.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get caught out of office without your out of office.
[SPEAKER_02]: Stuck up while you still can.
[SPEAKER_02]: You see after December 11th it's legal to have them soul just can't sell him.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe things will change.
[SPEAKER_02]: But for now, that's just the way it is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Fill your cupboards.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now through December 11th, Seoul is offering our listeners up to 60% off their entire order.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just go to getsold.com and use the code TMOS.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's getsold.com promo code TMOS for up to 60% off.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't wait.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some strengths are already selling out and they'll be gone for good.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, so, so, so, so.
[SPEAKER_10]: You know, I got an interesting email from Saul.
[SPEAKER_10]: I didn't realize this as someone who likes to read about history that before prohibition, there were rich people that would buy five, six thousand bottles of wine and keep them in their house.
[SPEAKER_10]: And it was legal for them to have them.
[SPEAKER_10]: To have them.
[SPEAKER_10]: You can sell them.
[SPEAKER_10]: You can stock up.
[SPEAKER_10]: And that's what's happening here.
[SPEAKER_10]: Two.
[SPEAKER_10]: Two years.
[SPEAKER_02]: We lost a very, very fun personality that we had the, I had the privilege of working with at WAA in Washington DC.
[SPEAKER_02]: He spent most of his career on the Eastern Shore.
[SPEAKER_02]: He also did a weather in Baltimore for years and years and years.
[SPEAKER_02]: Most people in the Baltimore market will remember
[SPEAKER_02]: Big Donald Bryan was a very special personality.
[SPEAKER_02]: He was a ton of fun, and oddly enough, my dad, when he was alive back in my hometown, became friends with the guy named Bill Hennessey, and Bill Hennessey was a local weather guy, and Bill Hennessey did the same thing for my dad that Donald Bryan did for me.
[SPEAKER_02]: and that was when he would be uh... doing the weather he would say and you can see uh... michael maros having a party tonight right over his house right there uh... there's a little low pressure and uh... it might add it had the same thing happen up in hardford years and years and years earlier so i'll never forget that when uh... big dom was on the uh...
[SPEAKER_02]: on the radio, he was part of a legendary morning show, Brian and O'Brien, in Baltimore for years and years and years.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he passed away this past weekend and 74 years old.
[SPEAKER_02]: 74 battled a cancer for a very very long time.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big dawn with the funny look on his face next to Brian Wilson and it was just, you know, it's just a shame when we lose it.
[SPEAKER_02]: He fought for a very, very long time against a myriad of health issues.
[SPEAKER_02]: But as far as any any struggle with some of his demons as well, you know, and he was
[SPEAKER_02]: Just a fun guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: He was a joyful radio personality.
[SPEAKER_02]: He was a joyful weather personality.
[SPEAKER_02]: He was a Ronald McDonald, uh, just that minor guy, you know, my time with him was very limited compared to yours.
[SPEAKER_10]: I met him a couple times.
[SPEAKER_10]: He was always so nice.
[SPEAKER_10]: We would swap messages back and forth on Facebook.
[SPEAKER_10]: He was always really cool.
[SPEAKER_10]: One of my favorite stories of his was he had a sport jacket made when he was doing weather on television.
[SPEAKER_10]: That the lining was the color of the green screen the chroma key and he would open his coat while he was doing the weather and would have like fish swimming in his coat And he would get letters from people saying how you do that with your coat what's with your coat and he would just
[SPEAKER_10]: He was a great example of the classic sound of WAA that made me originally want to get into radio.
[SPEAKER_10]: And so it was always a thrill when I got a chance to even say hi to him.
[SPEAKER_10]: Here's just a clip of him in 1990 doing, I believe it is called, let me get it right, the weekend blast off.
[SPEAKER_02]: uh... which was the jive thing on friday afternoons were you did the we set it up for you uh... if you were in the building on a friday afternoon and they would grab people from uh... the the business office they would grab other districties people they're doing production programming assistance everybody and they would uh... pretend that they were all joyously celebrating the weekend even though they were all still at work
[SPEAKER_02]: and they bring them into the studio and and Donna Bryan afternoon drive doing afternoon drive on WAPA really the best district you for this job of course and I was he pulled it off he was yeah it's a throwback this sounds bigger than life we miss you big dawn
[SPEAKER_11]: That's it's the way we can blast off a ladies and gentlemen.
[SPEAKER_11]: Let me introduce to you the employee of the month Congratulations
[SPEAKER_02]: That's fair!
[SPEAKER_11]: Whippers now!
[SPEAKER_11]: Another song, the boss doesn't want us to play!
[SPEAKER_11]: 105 W-E-V-A!
[SPEAKER_11]: My goodness!
[SPEAKER_11]: You have been a bad boy, haven't you?
[SPEAKER_11]: Yes, I have!
[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, boomer, I ought to be spanked!
[SPEAKER_11]: Not in spank, you know!
[SPEAKER_11]: Let me spank you!
[SPEAKER_11]: Ha!
[SPEAKER_11]: The 90s, baby!
[SPEAKER_11]: Go to your mobile!
[SPEAKER_11]: And so we can't last up.
[SPEAKER_11]: Here's a guy.
[SPEAKER_11]: He's got a great idea on the phone.
[SPEAKER_11]: What'd you say?
[SPEAKER_11]: I said let her have it in the blast up.
[SPEAKER_11]: Go for 60 minutes from 30 minutes to 15.
[SPEAKER_10]: And thank you to good guy David Edgar who actually posted that air check.
[SPEAKER_10]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_10]: Thanks David.
[SPEAKER_10]: Thank you to full thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's it's sad and he was a lot of fun to work with.
[SPEAKER_02]: You was good guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just, you know, one of those guys, what you see is what you get.
[SPEAKER_02]: What you hear is what you get.
[SPEAKER_02]: So safe home Don O'Brien now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Another person we really love on this show is Mr. James Tiberius Serito, who has
[SPEAKER_10]: joined me in the land of the sixties ladies and gentlemen that's right Jimmy Serrino Yes, he had a birthday party on a Sunday night that was organized by his magnificent wife Maureen Donna who's so remote and it was a surprise party It was at a place in an old-time analysis called like you wouldn't recognize old-time
[SPEAKER_10]: the way they've really spifted up old-time advances.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's a boutique shop after boutique shop after boutique shop now.
[SPEAKER_10]: And this is an Asian fusion restaurant.
[SPEAKER_10]: The food was extraordinary and because they don't miss anything, there were drinks named after Jimmy on the bar.
[SPEAKER_10]: They had moreine had made engraved chopsticks that had Jimmy happy 60th birthday and all this stuff on it.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's why here's the thing.
[SPEAKER_10]: They were able to keep it a surprise even to the point that someone Saturday night said to Jimmy at the bar His own bar.
[SPEAKER_10]: They said all right Jimmy see it a morrow and Jimmy just assumed he was talking about Jimmy's and he said okay See you then
[SPEAKER_10]: The funniest story is he walked in and it was a total surprise to him.
[SPEAKER_10]: You could see his face get un-Jimmy-like for a moment because he was totally surprised.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'd say there was probably 65 or 70 people there.
[SPEAKER_10]: They took over the entire place and just, you won't talk about a guy that everybody loves.
[SPEAKER_10]: It was just such a great moment, and the first thing he said when he stopped, he said, wait a second, and he looked, and they had laid out the entire dining room in, you know, long tables, so everyone could sit together.
[SPEAKER_10]: He said, that's where my table clause have gone.
[SPEAKER_10]: Moreen had taken tablecloths from Jimmy's old town tavern, a few at a time, to set up this situation.
[SPEAKER_10]: She said, do you know I had to send out for tablecloths this morning at Target because we're out of tablecloths?
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know where they went, but we're all here at my party!
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, that's true.
[SPEAKER_10]: But his daughter, Kelsey, was there given an incredible speech, just so sweet.
[SPEAKER_10]: Mayor Merkel and her husband was there.
[SPEAKER_10]: A couple bartenders, shocking that I know bartenders.
[SPEAKER_10]: A couple bartenders from Jimmy's were there.
[SPEAKER_10]: I actually dined with Roy and his wife, but it was a great party, great food, and just a great, great time.
[SPEAKER_10]: Jimmy, happy 60th birthday.
[SPEAKER_10]: If there is a more beloved person,
[SPEAKER_02]: I would love to meet him because boy, and he's done, you know, I think of Jimmy quite often because he has been able to do something that not many people can do in any place in the United States and that is keep a sole proprietorship restaurant and bar chugging along.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they're just, you know, it makes you pine for the days where there are a lot more places like that that we're not chains.
[SPEAKER_02]: And everything now, you know, we talk about it all the time on this show that it's the Malling of America where, you know, everybody, you know, when I'm looking out in the street, and I see a two and a half hour wait for a water burger.
[SPEAKER_11]: And I'm saying, what's that color you guys doing?
[SPEAKER_02]: What are we up to please you know, but Jimmy and I've told this story before, but I'll tell you that when I was going to go into the restaurant business and Jimmy took out a single dollar and gave me the tour of his entire restaurant told me all the ropes what I got to look for, what I do with it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And because now at the end I just want to show you one thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: It takes a dollar like that.
[SPEAKER_02]: He says, okay, so this is every dollar you make.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then he takes a little tiny strip of it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he tears it right down from the top to the bottom.
[SPEAKER_09]: He said, if you are amazingly successful, that's what you'll get to keep.
[SPEAKER_02]: he's right that's the way that's the way it goes and you know Jimmy going out to a sturgis where we flew out to Denver and then we rented motorcycles and we rode them up through Nebraska into the Dakotas it to sturgis and I led the way
[SPEAKER_02]: And I was kind of looking at the map and the team leader and we had our friend Rich Hostley with us that's just the three of us out in the middle in the middle of the good trio for traveling it was phenomenal it was the best balance of guys and the three of us are traveling and we pulled over at one point.
[SPEAKER_02]: in the middle of Nebraska like out in the open field look like dances with wolves that's the wide open it was and a horse was out in the field and we just pulled over for a second I don't know we're taking a leak or something like that and the horse what now why do we I'm sorry I praise the button I'm sorry so and then she showed up and the horse runs over and
[SPEAKER_02]: more than anything else on the ride up to Sturgis wanted to go to car hinge i didn't want to go to car hinge but he wanted to go to car didn't he start talking about it before the trip start well before because he was a little still the car hinge that was that was that was are you familiar are you familiar with car hinge josh what it is yeah okay also know if you miss talking about a beforehand year and then up there
[SPEAKER_09]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way you're not going to heal he'll be insistent on it and we ended up going to car hinge.
[SPEAKER_02]: He comes out of the motel the day.
[SPEAKER_02]: He was going to lead the party and he was going to lead the three of us and get on the highway early in the morning.
[SPEAKER_02]: Rich Hostly was riding a Harley sportsster and rich is like six four and so he's wrapping it with all this bungee cord crap.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was a big man on a small bike.
[SPEAKER_02]: Big man on a small bike, he's doing that when he's going and Jimmy's going to leave the way and Jimmy pulls out of the parking lot of the motel takes a wrong turn and just goes 90 miles an hour down the road.
[SPEAKER_02]: We are driving at maybe 75 miles an hour.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't try this at home 40 30 mile an hour steady crosswind.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're we're on a motorcycle leaning in the whole way that we're coming back.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm leading at this point.
[SPEAKER_02]: I see of the deserts.
[SPEAKER_02]: the blues movie.
[SPEAKER_02]: If there's one thing Jimmy loves it's pop culture.
[SPEAKER_02]: He loves pop culture.
[SPEAKER_02]: He does absolutely if it's TV or a movie or Ozzy or whatever he absolutely loves it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I see in the distance.
[SPEAKER_02]: as we are going by the way at a great clip of speed at the blues mobile and it passes us and it's got both the dudes that are playing the blues brothers check it out in the thing with the thing and he goes by and I look at my side view mirror and this is 75 miles an hour on this highway in the middle of uh... Wyoming and Jimmy's going
[SPEAKER_10]: wave at his arms like this almost going down on the bike because he's like that crazy so excited I'm glad you brought up Aussie because the one last thing I forgot to say about the party I mean this place is a old probably turn of the century structure in old time analysis that they had this party at and it was beautiful dim lights candles the whole deal I mean it looked beautiful when you walked in and
[SPEAKER_10]: And when they served dinner, lightly in the background, dinner music was black Sabbath.
[SPEAKER_10]: Just lightly, just a little bit, just for atmosphere.
[SPEAKER_10]: Jimmy, we love you very much.
[SPEAKER_11]: There's no one like you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Lost his mind.
[SPEAKER_02]: That is the death of our life.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll take a quick one here.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll come back with a little beautiful video and more, and once again, the Donald Bryan safe travels home.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: My friend, very, very sad news for everybody in the media business around DC.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll be back with a little beautiful video from Rob's B-Wack, but first I want to tell you about Dermglo.
[SPEAKER_02]: Big news from L-E-M-D. Prices have dropped.
[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, these are the lowest prices that they have ever offered.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, if you have been thinking about getting started, this could be a great time to check it out.
[SPEAKER_02]: L-E-M-D now offers flat tier pricing, which means your price stays the same no matter what dose you're on.
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, the holidays are right around the corner.
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you'd like to feel a little more in control around the Thanksgiving table, or a little more confident when the Christmas pictures start getting taken.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ellie M.D.
[SPEAKER_02]: has two different options to explore.
[SPEAKER_02]: Their weight management program is designed for people who's primary goal is weight reduction.
[SPEAKER_02]: They also offer micro-dosing.
[SPEAKER_02]: a lower dose option for people with a more modest goal, like 5 to 15 pounds.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the best part, medication supplies and shipping are all included.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you're curious about longevity peptides, there's a quiz that can help you explore those options as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's durmglowskin.com.
[SPEAKER_02]: Check out the new lower prices.
[SPEAKER_02]: Explore your options and see if L-E-M-D may be a fit for you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Durmglowskin.com.
[SPEAKER_02]: Take it away, Rob.
[SPEAKER_02]: We were.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, hit the wrong button.
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't like that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some beautiful videos.
[SPEAKER_02]: Jerry.
[SPEAKER_10]: that's what I meant.
[SPEAKER_10]: Mike, we have some musical offerings for you today.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm gonna have to wait on the Mike Love scenario with the Beach Boys.
[SPEAKER_02]: That requires more than we can give it here.
[SPEAKER_02]: We will dive in tomorrow with Mike Love.
[SPEAKER_10]: Um, so yeah, we will get on to that.
[SPEAKER_10]: I want to start with the fact, did you ever, and Josh, I want you to answer this too, were you ever in a situation where you had to watch the Lawrence Welkshow?
[SPEAKER_10]: Because it ran for, I don't know how to do this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay, great, well, show is my, is the end of when I was a child is when it was wrapping up.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, the Lawrence, well, show is so old that it was a television program that was watched by my grandparents.
[SPEAKER_10]: But due to syndication, it lasted for many, many years.
[SPEAKER_10]: My years, I will say this, many years too long.
[SPEAKER_02]: even when it was the right thing to be on television it was still wrong he took what was big band music from the forties and he, you know, hard to water that down oh but you can with enough strength to breathe we can do it oh my god wow
[SPEAKER_10]: But also the thing about the Wellch Show, Mike, and I think you'll agree with me, is that he'd like to spotlight his talents.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_10]: Not his talent, but the talent in his organization, say you're a dancer, who's say you're an organist.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he had a funny way of talking, Josh, who was kind of a combination accent, speech, and pediment, I'm not sure what that lies, but that there was a lack of this the way he'd talk.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he was like impersonated by the world.
[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody did an Lawrence Wellch impression.
[SPEAKER_10]: We don't see welcome this clip.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, do you see a good example of what counted for entertainment?
[SPEAKER_02]: See the local time.
[SPEAKER_10]: Mike.
[SPEAKER_10]: This is from the night.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm sure you remember it the 1978 Lawrence.
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, Halloween special 78.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yes, I have no words
[SPEAKER_11]: Wait, it gets better.
[SPEAKER_11]: Dancing skeletons.
[SPEAKER_02]: Please need to see the LW down in the front.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's exactly that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is there more?
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you boys.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty daring for the Lawrence Wolk show.
[SPEAKER_10]: Well, if the skeleton costumes have been tighter.
[SPEAKER_10]: Maybe.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Lawrence Wolk.
[SPEAKER_02]: And my grandfather, my grandmother, Sally.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: God love her back in the day.
[SPEAKER_02]: He makes a lot of money.
[SPEAKER_02]: He does.
[SPEAKER_02]: That was her defense.
[SPEAKER_11]: So when I say, oh, my God.
[SPEAKER_11]: I hate Lawrence.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and then he'd say to the guy in the skeleton.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, go there and show your bolts.
[SPEAKER_02]: Grammy.
[SPEAKER_02]: I hate Lawrence.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he makes a lot of money.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's very successful You know, let's keep the music going Mike.
[SPEAKER_10]: I know you love it.
[SPEAKER_10]: There's a lady her name is Margarita Prak to can I love a lady that's named after my favorite drink
[SPEAKER_10]: And she is, I would say, a variety performer.
[SPEAKER_10]: And if you search her, you will find her on the social medias in the YouTube.
[SPEAKER_10]: She doesn't just do older songs here.
[SPEAKER_10]: She's doing a current hit of the day.
[SPEAKER_10]: Here's Margarita doing Lion Oritchie.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I know this lady.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's very good.
[SPEAKER_11]: Hello.
[SPEAKER_11]: Me, oh, I think, oh, I know this lady.
[SPEAKER_02]: There she is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't wish you is time my mind I might need to take me your lead It's thousand dollars That's a wonderful job That's great I'll sign up for what's going on I love you I love you Tonight
[SPEAKER_05]: He's in me, you're looking for.
[SPEAKER_10]: Actually, that is scarier than the Lizzy board monster show.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is actually scarier.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's something else, isn't she?
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what you, you and I, that's, we're cross pollinating on this stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: I get a lot of that crap from that show.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is it a New York?
[SPEAKER_02]: table.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was a table access show from a few years ago, but not so long ago.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not so long ago.
[SPEAKER_10]: I guess that the internet has sort of destroyed the public access TV thing because it's more outlets for people.
[SPEAKER_10]: I always liked the guys like
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, that guy is great.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's terrific.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's great.
[SPEAKER_10]: Let us close with one of your favorites, Mike.
[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, we might as well keep it back in ancient history since we're doing it anyway.
[SPEAKER_10]: Carol Channing, she's passed, but towards the very, very, very, very, Mike towards the very, very, very end of her life.
[SPEAKER_10]: She did a one woman show.
[SPEAKER_10]: And she tells the story about a great performer of the 1920s and 30s.
[SPEAKER_10]: To LulaBankhead.
[SPEAKER_10]: I just want you to get a picture of To LulaBankhead.
[SPEAKER_10]: So you know what she looks like.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like Harold Channings and President.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know the, I know the impression.
[SPEAKER_10]: Right Mike, I want to, I'm going to tease you.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm going to close with my own favorite to LulaBankhead story.
[SPEAKER_10]: But first, let's go with Carol Channing, shall we?
[SPEAKER_06]: The traffic of the world goes through your dressing room.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I remember, oh, I remember the first one that came in through was to the LeBancad, and I told her, I said, no, me spancad, I'm sorry, but really we have been working and working until the last minute on this show, and I haven't slept for two weeks, I mean, we've been up all night, she said, we'll tell you, it's sleeping, Bill.
[SPEAKER_06]: So, I don't want to get into that addictive stuff.
[SPEAKER_06]: Don't be ridiculous, I'm not addicted to it.
[SPEAKER_06]: I've taken them every night of my life, but 36 years, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you know what, if you're old like me, that's funny because it's a good impression and Carol Channing was funny.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's a great, great start.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, let us close with this.
[SPEAKER_10]: This is a dick-cavoured story, but it's a favorite of mine.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_10]: Back when Toulula Bankhead was young and hot for Toulula Bankhead as a reminder, good looking woman at the time.
[SPEAKER_10]: She went to see the Mark's brothers on stage before the Mark's brothers had their film career and their brother Chico was a known ladies man borderline womanizer Is that how you pronounce it?
[SPEAKER_10]: It's not Chico.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I I've always said Chico too, but all the books.
[SPEAKER_10]: I read say Chico.
[SPEAKER_10]: Chico
[SPEAKER_10]: So they said, we're going to meet a very big star tonight, do not say anything inappropriate to Tulula Bankhead.
[SPEAKER_10]: She's very famous.
[SPEAKER_10]: She's a big deal.
[SPEAKER_10]: Don't wreck this for us.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_10]: So they do their show.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's the coconut.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's on stage on Broadway, backstage, Tulula Bankhead comes back.
[SPEAKER_10]: And she's stunning.
[SPEAKER_10]: She's one of the most beautiful women at that time.
[SPEAKER_10]: And they're making small talk.
[SPEAKER_10]: And Chico says, Miss Bankhead.
[SPEAKER_10]: I would like very much to fuck you.
[SPEAKER_10]: The room falls silent, and Tolula Bankans reply is, and so you shall my old fashion boy.
[SPEAKER_02]: They did?
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, they did.
[SPEAKER_10]: So that's a- Wow.
[SPEAKER_10]: There's some to little of a bank head trivia for you.
[SPEAKER_10]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's a school today.
[SPEAKER_02]: That came out of a left field.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a Josh to that truck.
[SPEAKER_02]: You like it, Chuck, me?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: But I'm still, I'm still taking back by Rob constantly calling this whole lady beautiful after earlier discussion about.
[SPEAKER_10]: At the time, Josh, I'm just trying to make the story work.
[SPEAKER_09]: She never did a reality show.
[SPEAKER_09]: Keep bringing up that photo when she's young.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's got the same nose as the girl in the reality show.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, you have to fix that.
[SPEAKER_02]: You'll find that Robert Josh is complicated.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've known it because I've known him for longer than you.
[SPEAKER_02]: I do.
[SPEAKER_10]: And so you shall my old fashion boy.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's why I will continue to listen to, view and participate occasionally in the still talk.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he doesn't.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to be able to, you know, and maybe maybe I'll even come on when I look like a couple of Shannon.
[SPEAKER_02]: Only if you can sound like girls.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we got to get out of here.
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be back with another brand new episode tomorrow tomorrow Little more nostalgia with the beach boys Mike love.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, but it's current the show was yesterday So my god, it's gonna be painful again We'll see you tomorrow for Josh Sarroka and Rob Spuac.
[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Maris saying so long every ball day
[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for listening to another episode of a Michael Mary Show.
