<v Speaker 1>Read myself for filth with this one.
<v Speaker 2>We talked so much about the physical glow-ups and almost
<v Speaker 2>nothing about the financial glow-ups. There's gonna be days, of course,
<v Speaker 2>where you don't feel like going to the gym. There's
<v Speaker 2>gonna be days where you don't feel like praying.
<v Speaker 1>There's gonna be some days.
<v Speaker 2>But your feelings, they cannot constantly renegotiate your decisions that
<v Speaker 2>you've already made.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, babe. It's Aisha Christina. Nice to meet you. This
<v Speaker 1>is Quality Queen Control. What is happening? Hello, angels.
<v Speaker 2>Welcome back to Quality Queen Control. I want to know
<v Speaker 2>one thing right now. Did you hype the video? You
<v Speaker 2>don't even need to hear what it is that I
<v Speaker 2>have to say. I need you to hype this video
<v Speaker 2>right now. If you are listening to me, same thing
<v Speaker 2>for you. I want you to watch the video on
<v Speaker 2>the channel.
<v Speaker 1>Actually, even if you don't even have time to watch it,
<v Speaker 1>I want you to hype it. And how do you
<v Speaker 1>hype it? As soon as you like the video, it
<v Speaker 1>will give you the option to like the video. And
<v Speaker 1>I think there's a certain amount.
<v Speaker 2>Of hypes that you get per week. when it comes
<v Speaker 2>to supporting your favorite creators. But I'm telling you, if
<v Speaker 2>you really rock with your girl, then you would absolutely
<v Speaker 2>make sure you hype this video up so that we
<v Speaker 2>can grow the channel. We're trying to get the channel
<v Speaker 2>monetized because the rules are gonna change come February, 2027.
<v Speaker 2>I know, boring, we don't wanna go through all the announcements,
<v Speaker 2>but baby, we have to, so listen up, okay? If
<v Speaker 2>you really love me, you're gonna listen. In addition to that,
<v Speaker 2>I got nominated. How crazy is this? For best content
<v Speaker 2>creator on Long Island. If you guys don't know, now
<v Speaker 2>you know. I am from Long Island, Strong Island. That's
<v Speaker 2>where I'm from. And it just feels really nice to
<v Speaker 2>have representation on Long Island.
<v Speaker 1>Like I just, I'm still kind of like blown away
<v Speaker 1>by the.
<v Speaker 2>And I absolutely really do want to take this win
<v Speaker 2>home just to represent for my black suburban girlies. Like
<v Speaker 2>I just, it would mean the world to me. So
<v Speaker 2>as soon as those votes are open, I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>post it in our community tab on the quality queen
<v Speaker 2>control podcast page, which is where you're seeing this. And
<v Speaker 2>I think for a while, we're going to be doing
<v Speaker 2>some collaboration posts so I can try and pull the
<v Speaker 2>remaining audience from Asha Christina Foster channel onto the the
<v Speaker 2>Quality Queen Control podcast channel, it seems like there's still
<v Speaker 2>confusion about whether or not I'm posting and people feeling
<v Speaker 2>like they haven't seen me. And maybe that's my fault
<v Speaker 2>for not communicating that in one precise place, because I
<v Speaker 2>just feel like the channel, Asia Christina channel, even though
<v Speaker 2>it has amassed over 200,000 subscribers, for whatever reason, it
<v Speaker 2>has been dead in the water for many, many years.
<v Speaker 2>And we have never been able to necessarily figure out why.
<v Speaker 2>I've tried posting the same dating content, doing this, doing that,
<v Speaker 2>but it kind of feels like it goes up a
<v Speaker 2>little bit and then it kind of goes down even more.
<v Speaker 2>And it's just this constant up and down cycle. So
<v Speaker 2>with that being said, if you really rock with me
<v Speaker 2>and you really want to support me, the best way
<v Speaker 2>to do that is to not only hype this video,
<v Speaker 2>but also to make sure you're staying updated with me
<v Speaker 2>on all my socials. Supporting the podcast, which we want
<v Speaker 2>to grow this channel way bigger than the Asia Christina
<v Speaker 2>Foster channel. More importantly, getting it monetized. I'm telling you,
<v Speaker 2>it would really make such a huge difference. And it's
<v Speaker 2>free for you to just support by clicking like, okay.
<v Speaker 2>And having that hype option available. So I think that
<v Speaker 2>is it for the announcements. And I just thank you
<v Speaker 2>guys for listening. I want you guys to keep that
<v Speaker 2>in mind before we get into the rest of this podcast,
<v Speaker 2>which today we are gonna be talking about the fact
<v Speaker 2>that your winter arc isn't about just becoming prettier. It
<v Speaker 2>is about becoming more disciplined, okay? Everybody is talking about
<v Speaker 2>the winter arc. And in fact, I believe that we
<v Speaker 2>started our winter arc, to my knowledge, a little bit early.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like normally the winter arc, what do I know?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know when the winter arc usually starts. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know why I thought it was Q1, but I
<v Speaker 2>suppose it's Q4. Q4 is one of the busiest times
<v Speaker 2>of years because now we're about to approach holiday season.
<v Speaker 2>And honestly, I feel kind of crazy even saying that
<v Speaker 2>because what is life? Am I the only person that
<v Speaker 2>feels like life has sped up again, like pre-COVID? Like
<v Speaker 2>I feel like life felt like it was like more
<v Speaker 2>slower paced, all the different things. Now I feel like
<v Speaker 2>life feels the way that it did prior to COVID.
<v Speaker 2>except it feels funny because of how much it slowed
<v Speaker 2>down for all of those years prior to COVID. Okay, guys,
<v Speaker 2>this just in, all right? So the winter arc apparently
<v Speaker 2>starts at October 1st, ending on December.
<v Speaker 1>31st, which is approximately 92 days. Will that be all?
<v Speaker 2>Thank you guys for rocking out with me. Anyway, so
<v Speaker 2>we're going to the gym, okay? We're getting our bodies together,
<v Speaker 2>all the different things. But like I said, the winter arc,
<v Speaker 2>we are starting earlier. I feel like the girlies have
<v Speaker 2>already started getting in that feel for September.
<v Speaker 1>And we are changing a lot of things, right?
<v Speaker 2>We're You kind of have to because now it's less
<v Speaker 2>about the body oils and the glow and it's more
<v Speaker 2>about hydration, moisturizing your skin. We're probably doing an audit
<v Speaker 2>of people. We're drinking more water because again, we want
<v Speaker 2>to make sure that we are continuing to stay hydrated,
<v Speaker 2>especially even in the summer.
<v Speaker 1>And listen, I love a glow up, all right?
<v Speaker 2>But I think that we have reduced the idea of
<v Speaker 2>becoming a better version of ourselves to becoming a prettier
<v Speaker 2>version of ourselves.
<v Speaker 1>And the reason this is important is.
<v Speaker 2>Because of the whole beauty maxing trend, which by the way,
<v Speaker 2>is a great trend, okay? I'm not saying anything negative
<v Speaker 2>about that because I think we should all elevate in
<v Speaker 2>every way possible, right? But it is not only about
<v Speaker 2>the outside appearance because what happens if in January or
<v Speaker 2>when January comes, your body looks different Your hair looks amazing.
<v Speaker 2>Your skin is glowing, but you're still procrastinating. You're still inconsistent.
<v Speaker 2>You're still terrible with money. You're still entertaining the people
<v Speaker 2>that you know aren't good for you.
<v Speaker 1>Like, it is very rare, I feel like, that we.
<v Speaker 2>End up in situations where everything is fine, but it's just, meh.
<v Speaker 2>It may not be the best for us, right? A
<v Speaker 2>lot of you guys are in toxic relationships. The person
<v Speaker 2>is ghosting you anytime he gets upset at you. you're
<v Speaker 2>being mistreated. I don't understand, really, I'm not even trying
<v Speaker 2>to be insensitive. I don't understand what the draw is
<v Speaker 2>for being mistreated and sticking around when you're being mistreated. However,
<v Speaker 2>that's a blanket statement and how dare me, honestly, because
<v Speaker 2>I know that it's very nuanced, but I'm just keeping
<v Speaker 2>it real. Anywho, you're saying you're going to do things
<v Speaker 2>and then you're not doing them. That does not make
<v Speaker 2>any sense. That is a form of self-sabotage. And this
<v Speaker 2>is not me coming and sitting.
<v Speaker 1>On my soapbox.
<v Speaker 2>This is coming from someone that used to also do
<v Speaker 2>those things. I feel like a lot of the times
<v Speaker 2>in my life, especially in my 20s, I danced with
<v Speaker 2>the idea.
<v Speaker 1>Let's dance.
<v Speaker 2>I danced with the idea of consistency. I would go
<v Speaker 2>through phases where I would go to the gym. I'm
<v Speaker 2>in the gym every day. I remember when I was
<v Speaker 2>working out, when I got really, really fit, when I
<v Speaker 2>was 21 years old, and I was consistently on a schedule,
<v Speaker 2>going to LA Fitness, all the different things, and then
<v Speaker 2>just going to college, whatever.
<v Speaker 1>And then I feel like.
<v Speaker 2>I would go through phases where I'd feel a little
<v Speaker 2>lost in the sauce and kind of had not much
<v Speaker 2>of a routine going. And maybe I stopped working out
<v Speaker 2>kind of a little bit like now mind your business.
<v Speaker 2>But the point is, is like, I wasn't disciplined. It
<v Speaker 2>felt like an, like a baseline of all the areas.
<v Speaker 2>It always felt like I was doing one thing exceptionally well,
<v Speaker 2>but not a little bit of everything in balance and totality.
<v Speaker 1>Does that make sense?
<v Speaker 2>So If you're feeling like you're still waiting until you
<v Speaker 2>feel like it to work toward the life that you
<v Speaker 2>keep saying that you want, then that is not going
<v Speaker 2>to be transformation, babe.
<v Speaker 1>All right. You have just simply changed the packaging. All right.
<v Speaker 2>So my winter arc this year is not going to
<v Speaker 2>be just about looking better. I know that that's everyone's
<v Speaker 2>new year's resolution, but it's about becoming a woman that
<v Speaker 2>I can trust. And I think that that's the conversation
<v Speaker 2>that we actually need to be happening.
<v Speaker 1>Happening. Happening.
<v Speaker 2>I think that that is the conversation that we actually
<v Speaker 2>need to be having.
<v Speaker 1>So starting with number one, the real glow up is self-trust.
<v Speaker 2>I know everyone starts out with the basic tip of.
<v Speaker 1>Mindset, mind, you're mind, you gotta be your mind.
<v Speaker 2>And honestly, like that is true, but let's switch it up.
<v Speaker 2>One of the biggest things that I realized about confidence
<v Speaker 2>is that confidence isn't only about liking how you look.
<v Speaker 2>Confidence also comes from evidence. Evidence that when you tell
<v Speaker 2>yourself you're gonna do something, you actually do it. Being
<v Speaker 2>in our 30s now, you start to see who is
<v Speaker 2>full of, you know, it.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. You start to really.
<v Speaker 2>Learn like, all right, you're picking, you're holding up this
<v Speaker 2>relationship by your coattails.
<v Speaker 1>This person lacks ambition.
<v Speaker 2>They are kind of leaning on you, even in a
<v Speaker 2>friendship where You feel like there's no guidance, no direction,
<v Speaker 2>and everything is kind of leaning on you where they're
<v Speaker 2>looking to you for inspiration all the time. And the
<v Speaker 2>thing is, that's not inherently necessarily a bad thing. However,
<v Speaker 2>it is, it becomes a negative thing where you almost
<v Speaker 2>feel like as maybe the stronger, more decisive friend that you're,
<v Speaker 2>you want to relate to someone that's on your level,
<v Speaker 2>where you're getting that energy reciprocated back to you, where
<v Speaker 2>you feel like you guys are both motivating each other
<v Speaker 2>or in areas that you may lack, that person inspires
<v Speaker 2>you and vice versa. Like that to me is an
<v Speaker 2>equal friendship and a powerful friendship dynamic. However, if you're
<v Speaker 2>in the opposite of that, you're in the antithesis of that,
<v Speaker 2>yet eventually you're going to feel like that person's a
<v Speaker 2>little bit of a burden and it becomes irritating and
<v Speaker 2>annoying as an.
<v Speaker 1>Executor, right?
<v Speaker 2>When you put in the work to finally get to
<v Speaker 2>this stage, because it's not always that easy or intuitive
<v Speaker 2>for people to simply do. what they say that they're
<v Speaker 2>going to do.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. And it's not easy.
<v Speaker 2>I'll tell you, even in transparency for myself, like I
<v Speaker 2>have emails I have to answer to podcast, you know, well, no,
<v Speaker 2>I have two Instagram pages that have to be run.
<v Speaker 2>I have a YouTube, two YouTube channels, technically. Well, I
<v Speaker 2>wouldn't even say technically. Technically, whether you guys know this
<v Speaker 2>or not, I have four YouTube channels, but I only
<v Speaker 2>really kind of utilize two of them. Like I upload
<v Speaker 2>shorts to the Asia Christina channel. And then for the
<v Speaker 2>Quality Queen Control podcast channel, which is this one, I
<v Speaker 2>also have that.
<v Speaker 1>I have a tiny team. Okay. And by tiny, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there's only three of us on the team. Okay.
<v Speaker 2>That also includes myself. So It's just a lot. And
<v Speaker 2>I'm balancing and trying to manage it all, trying to
<v Speaker 2>show up on this platform. And I had to quickly
<v Speaker 2>learn that when it comes to events, I need to
<v Speaker 2>post them a lot faster. And before I would be
<v Speaker 2>so overwhelmed by editing my content that I would be
<v Speaker 2>sitting on an event that was relevant and happened at
<v Speaker 2>that time. And so I just finally gave myself a
<v Speaker 2>deadline and I said, you know what? I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>be posting the next day. After I go to an event,
<v Speaker 2>I'm going to post the next day, you know? And
<v Speaker 2>It felt so good where all of a sudden I'm like,
<v Speaker 2>oh my gosh, wait, that actually feels easier for me
<v Speaker 2>to just post it the next day than to just
<v Speaker 2>be sitting on it and let it pile up and
<v Speaker 2>pile up.
<v Speaker 1>Do you understand what I'm saying?
<v Speaker 2>So it feels so good to do what you say
<v Speaker 2>you're going to do. I'm telling you, as someone that
<v Speaker 2>has gotten into the habit of just showing up, showing
<v Speaker 2>up for my podcast, showing up for the events that
<v Speaker 2>I have to be in in the city where that's
<v Speaker 2>a new addition to my life, showing up for appointments
<v Speaker 2>that I make for myself. Because let's be honest, sometimes
<v Speaker 2>you make an appointment and you don't want to go.
<v Speaker 1>But showing up and.
<v Speaker 2>Holding myself accountable, it sort of just gets you into
<v Speaker 2>the routine of doing things you don't want to do.
<v Speaker 2>Just like I knew today, I had to call my insurance,
<v Speaker 2>both my insurances, my health, and also my car insurance.
<v Speaker 2>And It's like those little adult things that you don't
<v Speaker 2>want to do and checking on this. Hey, did you
<v Speaker 2>guys receive this? Did you, you know, all the different
<v Speaker 2>things unpleasant, but you still do it nonetheless. And you
<v Speaker 2>now get into the routine and half the time when
<v Speaker 2>you're doing the thing, you're like, wait, this is what
<v Speaker 2>I was avoiding the entire time. Think about how many
<v Speaker 2>promises we casually make ourselves.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to wake up early tomorrow. I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>start posting consistently. I'm gonna stop talking to him. I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna save this amount of money. I'm gonna start to
<v Speaker 1>work out, all right? I'm gonna take my relationship with
<v Speaker 1>God more seriously. And then we don't.
<v Speaker 2>And every time that you repeatedly abandon your own commitments,
<v Speaker 2>you are basically teaching yourself, well, my word to myself
<v Speaker 2>doesn't really mean anything. And that's why discipline is what
<v Speaker 2>ultimately builds confidence. Because eventually, you will start developing evidence
<v Speaker 2>that says, If I tell myself I'm going to do something,
<v Speaker 2>I can trust myself to actually follow through. And that
<v Speaker 2>type of confidence cannot be purchased. Even in a course,
<v Speaker 2>it can't be purchased because I know a ton of
<v Speaker 2>you have courses galore and you haven't touched it. You
<v Speaker 2>have not touched them. And you have a million courses
<v Speaker 2>that you purchased. So even that requires discipline, all right?
<v Speaker 2>The biggest glow up is becoming a woman who can
<v Speaker 2>trust herself. Point number two, motivation is a feeling and discipline.
<v Speaker 1>Is a decision. Write that down. Take notes. Everybody loves
<v Speaker 1>the beginning. I know I do. Me and a beginning? Girl,
<v Speaker 1>I love it. A beginning and me? Yeah, we do. Yes, ma'am. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>new planner. Oof.
<v Speaker 2>Girl, when I tell you I love me a new planner,
<v Speaker 2>Me and a new planner? Girl, I love me and
<v Speaker 2>a new planner. A new routine, new gym clothes, new journal.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to write how I feel every single day.
<v Speaker 2>Five minute journal, whatever they call it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>New challenge, new month, new year.
<v Speaker 1>But eventually that excitement starts to wear off.
<v Speaker 2>And that is where you find out whether you actually
<v Speaker 2>wanted transformation or whether you just enjoyed the feeling of
<v Speaker 2>starting over.
<v Speaker 1>Hello.
<v Speaker 2>Motivation is gonna say something like, I'll do it when
<v Speaker 2>I feel inspired, but discipline is going to say, I've
<v Speaker 2>already decided that I'm doing this no matter what. And
<v Speaker 2>this is what I want you guys to think about.
<v Speaker 2>I just had this like revelation. Anytime you have to
<v Speaker 2>be somewhere, like let's say for those of you that
<v Speaker 2>are working in a nine to five type of environment, right?
<v Speaker 2>No matter what it is, you, regardless of whether or
<v Speaker 2>not you want to go, you still are able to
<v Speaker 2>force yourself because you know that you have to earn
<v Speaker 2>some money so that you can pay your bills, right?
<v Speaker 1>You kind of have to approach discipline the same way.
<v Speaker 1>That is you being disciplined.
<v Speaker 2>In service of me getting this reward, which is monetary value,
<v Speaker 2>I still need to show up.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not going to get paid by not showing up
<v Speaker 1>to work.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not going to enjoy the fruits of labor if
<v Speaker 2>I don't do any, okay? And I'm not saying work
<v Speaker 2>yourself like a horse. That's not what I'm saying. But
<v Speaker 2>you guys are picking up what I'm laying down. In moments,
<v Speaker 2>you guys don't realize that there are moments that you
<v Speaker 2>actually have showcase discipline, but you don't realize it because
<v Speaker 2>it kind of feels like it's not your choice and
<v Speaker 2>it's out of your control. Like obviously, for the most part,
<v Speaker 2>you're going to show up to work because it's like, dang,
<v Speaker 2>like I need this job and I can't just not
<v Speaker 2>show up. But if we were given the choice on
<v Speaker 2>our own, which is where that self trust and respect
<v Speaker 2>comes in, we will over a lot of the times
<v Speaker 2>override that. And that's where I think a lot of
<v Speaker 2>us tend to get stuck because we're waiting to feel
<v Speaker 2>like doing things. that are gonna require us to do
<v Speaker 2>them when we absolutely do not feel like doing them.
<v Speaker 1>There are going to be days where I actually don't
<v Speaker 1>feel like filming. You think I don't experience that?
<v Speaker 2>Every Monday is like, I gotta film for my podcast,
<v Speaker 2>no matter how the circumstances are, I gotta make sure
<v Speaker 2>I'm ahead too because I wanna make sure I'm dishing
<v Speaker 2>out new episodes for you guys and I'm being consistent
<v Speaker 2>with it. Then I gotta run a Bible study. Every
<v Speaker 2>single Monday, I've been doing that for years. Okay, Sundays,
<v Speaker 2>I am really active in my church ministry. I have
<v Speaker 2>events that I have to attend every single week. I
<v Speaker 2>have content that needs to be filmed on a consistent basis.
<v Speaker 1>And I still struggle. to get it all done. And
<v Speaker 1>that's just the truth.
<v Speaker 2>But what I really love about myself is that I'm
<v Speaker 2>not giving up. I'm not gonna stay in bed and
<v Speaker 2>lay in bed. I'd rather feel honestly like I'm failing
<v Speaker 2>and I'm failing forward as opposed to doing nothing and
<v Speaker 2>then complaining about what the outcome is. At least when
<v Speaker 2>I look back at my day, my days and the
<v Speaker 2>months and the year, I can actually see, oh shoot,
<v Speaker 2>the needle did move forward. In a year's time, I
<v Speaker 2>produced X amount of episodes for my podcast. in a
<v Speaker 2>year's time, I did this amount on TikTok shop. In
<v Speaker 2>a year's time, I met these amount of people. I
<v Speaker 2>was in these types of rooms in a year time.
<v Speaker 2>When you take stock and you look back, this is
<v Speaker 2>for those of you that are extreme procrastinators.
<v Speaker 1>Sometimes it comes upon us. It happens. It even happens
<v Speaker 1>to me as well. It plagues me at certain times.
<v Speaker 2>But I think I'm just like really in the point
<v Speaker 2>in my life where I realized that it's not worth it.
<v Speaker 2>The feeling of Feeling like you don't want to do
<v Speaker 2>something and executing on not doing it because that's another thing.
<v Speaker 2>You're executing whether you realize it or not. You're either
<v Speaker 2>executing on doing nothing or you're executing on doing something
<v Speaker 2>and moving the needle.
<v Speaker 1>Forward, right?
<v Speaker 2>There's going to be days, of course, where you don't
<v Speaker 2>feel like going to the gym. There's going to be
<v Speaker 2>days where you don't feel like praying. There's going to
<v Speaker 2>be days where you don't feel like sticking to the budget,
<v Speaker 2>all right? There's going to be, you know, there's going
<v Speaker 2>to be some days. There's going to be a lot
<v Speaker 2>of them. But your feelings, they cannot constantly renegotiate your
<v Speaker 2>decisions that you've already made. Stop letting today's mood renegotiate
<v Speaker 2>yesterday's commitment. Point number three, your winter arc needs to
<v Speaker 2>include your finances.
<v Speaker 1>I read myself for filth with this one.
<v Speaker 2>We talked so much about the physical glow-ups and almost everything.
<v Speaker 2>Nothing about the financial glow ups. But what would happen
<v Speaker 2>if you spent the next three months becoming financially disciplined?
<v Speaker 2>And you don't want to have to learn something the
<v Speaker 2>hard way. I ended up having to learn something the
<v Speaker 2>difficult way because of something I just simply did not know.
<v Speaker 2>I simply did not know. And when I tell you
<v Speaker 2>it wrecked me at the time and I was just like,
<v Speaker 2>oh my goodness, like this will never, ever, ever, ever,
<v Speaker 2>ever happen to me again.
<v Speaker 1>Right.
<v Speaker 2>And at the time before this happened, actually, it always
<v Speaker 2>felt very elusive to me or aloof, I should say.
<v Speaker 2>It always felt a little daunting and intimidating to try
<v Speaker 2>and understand finances and becoming more financially literate. It always
<v Speaker 2>felt like something I think I just subconsciously told myself
<v Speaker 2>I would do when I had time to kind of
<v Speaker 2>figure it out, even though I've been running a business
<v Speaker 2>for X amount of years, which is kind of crazy.
<v Speaker 2>But I kind of just always put it off in
<v Speaker 2>the sense of like, oh no, it'll come to me.
<v Speaker 2>Like I will eventually learn. I mean, you know, who's
<v Speaker 2>really sitting down and teaching this stuff? I mean, we're
<v Speaker 2>really not usually learning it from our parents either, right?
<v Speaker 2>But I figured it out. That situation at the time
<v Speaker 2>forced me to figure it out and it forced me
<v Speaker 2>to understand. And once I did, I was like, ow, wait,
<v Speaker 2>I understand exactly what's happening. I can't believe I waited
<v Speaker 2>all this time to kind of figure that out.
<v Speaker 1>Like, okay.
<v Speaker 2>Like that was kind of crazy, but even when you're,
<v Speaker 2>I actually download these apps. I think I have Rocket Money.
<v Speaker 2>I have QuickBooks for self-employed as well. Like I do see, okay,
<v Speaker 2>it tells me, it categorizes automatically whatever I got going on.
<v Speaker 1>Okay.
<v Speaker 2>Also like if you don't want to download any app
<v Speaker 2>or pay anything, your bank app does this for you.
<v Speaker 2>Like if you go, I think on the website, there's
<v Speaker 2>a snapshot of your weekly spending, and it automatically categorizes it.
<v Speaker 2>Is it gonna do it in the aesthetic or more
<v Speaker 2>intuitive way necessarily like other apps will? Probably not, but
<v Speaker 2>it's also just a free alternative because I do wanna
<v Speaker 2>offer that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't wanna just say this and this and this.
<v Speaker 2>And then you gotta pay for everything. I understand everyone's
<v Speaker 2>in a different and a unique situation.
<v Speaker 1>Anyways, I digress.
<v Speaker 2>Actually look at what it is that you're spending and
<v Speaker 2>knowing how, okay, how much on average do I spend
<v Speaker 2>in a month? Like what is actually coming in and
<v Speaker 2>going out? And I know that that seems daunting and intimidating,
<v Speaker 2>but you gotta have some sense of idea.
<v Speaker 1>Listen, let's take a pause here. I saw this.
<v Speaker 2>Video and I actually wanna make a little short form
<v Speaker 2>video about this And this lady, this divorce attorney was
<v Speaker 2>saying on TikTok that long gone are the days of
<v Speaker 2>woman being protected in marriages, okay? And I'm not saying
<v Speaker 2>that as a advocate against marriage, because absolutely not. I'm
<v Speaker 2>absolutely for that covenant under the Lord. However, we have
<v Speaker 2>to be smarter, ladies. And this, if you've been paying
<v Speaker 2>attention to my content, and I've always spoke about being
<v Speaker 2>with a provider, I think the, you know, the angle
<v Speaker 2>that I'm coming at you guys with now here and
<v Speaker 2>my specific niche on the internet is you also have
<v Speaker 2>to be doing something for yourself. You need to have
<v Speaker 2>options in your life. Don't just be, you know.
<v Speaker 1>The girl who gets the great life and then who
<v Speaker 1>knows what the future is. You've secured nothing. You have
<v Speaker 1>no investment accounts.
<v Speaker 2>You have You have benefited really nothing at all besides
<v Speaker 2>living in a great house, and you have all these
<v Speaker 2>material items, but you don't have any actual financial assets
<v Speaker 2>for yourself. And girl, you know you're not going to
<v Speaker 2>sell your Birkin, so shut up, okay? So that's just
<v Speaker 2>the truth.
<v Speaker 1>You need to be smart.
<v Speaker 2>You're dating these guys or you're married to somebody that
<v Speaker 2>has money, well, be smart and do something with it, hello?
<v Speaker 2>Like that's that baseline, like what you should be doing. Like, okay, well,
<v Speaker 2>let me start to get into, you know, let me
<v Speaker 2>understand a little bit more about finance and starts like
<v Speaker 2>you have that leg up and you have that opportunity,
<v Speaker 2>do something. I didn't say you have to go, you know,
<v Speaker 2>work a nine to five somewhere, but you have to
<v Speaker 2>do something because like that attorney was saying, Long gone
<v Speaker 2>are the days where women have protection in marriage, where
<v Speaker 2>you are able to get the spousal support. She said
<v Speaker 2>that many people are not getting that spousal support. And
<v Speaker 2>if you are, it's probably for about three years. But
<v Speaker 2>if your divorce alone takes three years or two years,
<v Speaker 2>you only have an a year left after that spousal
<v Speaker 2>support is done to fend for yourself until you have
<v Speaker 2>to fend for yourself.
<v Speaker 1>Hello?
<v Speaker 2>So what we're trying to say here is and all
<v Speaker 2>the trad wives coming out and saying like, oh, man,
<v Speaker 2>like this is not what you think it is, ladies,
<v Speaker 2>because now I'm I'm 55 years old.
<v Speaker 1>My husband divorced me. My kids are grown.
<v Speaker 2>They're in college. Like, what am I going to do?
<v Speaker 2>Like he I don't have any money. No one's really
<v Speaker 2>going to hire me. Where am I going to live?
<v Speaker 2>Because I can't live off of like a Bloomingdale's salary. Like,
<v Speaker 2>come on, like we have to just be realistic, okay?
<v Speaker 2>You can't like think that you're gonna live like Anna
<v Speaker 2>Nicole and you know, your man's gonna die and you're
<v Speaker 2>just gonna get his inheritance or his health insurance. You
<v Speaker 2>gotta really grow up out of that, all right? Now,
<v Speaker 2>with that being said, you wanna be saving intentionally, all right?
<v Speaker 2>You wanna start to pay things down.
<v Speaker 1>There's no reason for your credit card bill to be $ 30, 000
<v Speaker 1>and you've just ignored it. I'm telling you, I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>we've all done it in the past, okay? I'm not
<v Speaker 1>judging you. I'm really not, I'm really not.
<v Speaker 2>What I'm saying is, is like, The more you ignore
<v Speaker 2>it and you think it's just going to mysteriously go away,
<v Speaker 2>it won't.
<v Speaker 1>It won't.
<v Speaker 2>And by the time you want to approach it, serious
<v Speaker 2>consequences have probably already taken effect. So at baseline, lowering
<v Speaker 2>your credit score is, you know, the obvious, collateral. But
<v Speaker 2>then there's, okay, you realize as an adult, credit is
<v Speaker 2>kind of everything. So if you don't have that, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>you're kind of really like in a little bit of
<v Speaker 2>a bind here, right? And there's no reason for you
<v Speaker 2>to be continuing to use money you don't have. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I understand if your circumstances might call for you to
<v Speaker 2>do that because you have zero income coming in, but
<v Speaker 2>you got to find something and you got to find
<v Speaker 2>a job in the meantime. Maybe you can find something
<v Speaker 2>that's going to be remote. The point is, is you
<v Speaker 2>don't give up because you have to be a woman
<v Speaker 2>that's going to figure it out because you have to.
<v Speaker 2>And that's a good skill set to have. a good
<v Speaker 2>skillset to have is figuring it out, okay? Not feeling,
<v Speaker 2>having this entitled mentality of, oh, well, I mean like,
<v Speaker 2>but if I have to work 11 to eight, that's
<v Speaker 2>like so late. And like, when will I, babe, what
<v Speaker 2>Oprah Winfrey said, do what you have to do so
<v Speaker 2>you can do what you want to do.
<v Speaker 1>It's not forever.
<v Speaker 2>I know it might feel like it's forever. but it's
<v Speaker 2>not forever. You have to do something, babe.
<v Speaker 1>All right?
<v Speaker 2>No one's going to have sympathy for you and empathy
<v Speaker 2>for you as you sit in your bed all day long,
<v Speaker 2>scrolling through TikTok and making posts in hopes of becoming
<v Speaker 2>a social media creator and doing absolutely nothing with your
<v Speaker 2>life and then lying to yourself and telling yourself, you're
<v Speaker 2>going to start this on this day. And every other
<v Speaker 2>week you have a brand new plan of how you're.
<v Speaker 1>Going to revamp your life.
<v Speaker 2>If you think about it, you've already traversed through 12
<v Speaker 2>careers and you've literally gotten to the middle of none.
<v Speaker 1>I digress. Pay things down.
<v Speaker 2>Even if it's $ 25 towards your credit card, please pay
<v Speaker 2>it down. Please take this as a warning. Do not
<v Speaker 2>just ignore it because your credit minimum, whatever, the credit
<v Speaker 2>balance minimum to pay is $ 500. That's probably because you
<v Speaker 2>ignored it for so long. So now you don't have
<v Speaker 2>the benefit of the $ 25 down, right? Because that's what
<v Speaker 2>these creditors want to see. They want to see that
<v Speaker 2>you've been consistently making payments down. Now I also want
<v Speaker 2>to add, don't put the $ 25 down on your credit
<v Speaker 2>and you're still using the credit card.
<v Speaker 1>Now you're going in circles. You understand what I'm saying?
<v Speaker 2>You don't pay the credit card down $ 25 and then
<v Speaker 2>you go spend 30 or you go spend 25 or
<v Speaker 2>you go spend five or you go spend.
<v Speaker 1>18 because you're going in circles.
<v Speaker 2>You have to stop spending the card completely so that
<v Speaker 2>you can then focus on just paying the card down.
<v Speaker 1>Does that make sense? Come to my course another day.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just, I am no financial advisor. Girl, addle.
<v Speaker 2>Me?
<v Speaker 1>The addle. No, no ma'am. Anyways.
<v Speaker 2>Then you can then focus on, of course, increasing your income,
<v Speaker 2>learn a.
<v Speaker 1>Skill, okay?
<v Speaker 2>You know, build a business. Like, you know, you have
<v Speaker 2>to learn how to negotiate better. Stop the unnecessary impulse purchases.
<v Speaker 1>I know that is so hard. Girl, that, girl, are
<v Speaker 1>we all the same person?
<v Speaker 2>Because being able to buy the aesthetic of success is
<v Speaker 2>actually very different from actually creating financial security. If you're
<v Speaker 2>going to be spending your money on trying to get
<v Speaker 2>Louis Vuitton bags and, you Chanel bags and this.
<v Speaker 1>I know we all like a little.
<v Speaker 2>Cute little designer, whatever the case is, but It's not
<v Speaker 2>necessary right now for you to keep up with the aesthetic,
<v Speaker 2>especially now that we've all discovered quiet luxury.
<v Speaker 1>So what are you doing this for?
<v Speaker 2>You can still look expensive and still be financially stressed out.
<v Speaker 1>Stressed, depressed, but well-dressed.
<v Speaker 2>And I don't want the appearance, honestly, of a good
<v Speaker 2>life more than I want.
<v Speaker 1>The infrastructure of one.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to be driving a G-Wagon or an
<v Speaker 2>AMG and I'm living in poverty and I'm showing up to,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I don't even know if I'm not trying
<v Speaker 2>to be offensive when I say this, but I'm showing
<v Speaker 2>up in a low income area. And, but yet my
<v Speaker 2>car is more than my entire rent for the year.
<v Speaker 1>Like, you know what I mean? And I have no
<v Speaker 1>other income coming in, you know, sometimes, Hey, you.
<v Speaker 2>Might get a little gift, you know, who knows girl,
<v Speaker 2>you might've got yourself a little gift, but if your
<v Speaker 2>living circumstances are like way, like the way you present
<v Speaker 2>is like astronomically more than then what you have going on,
<v Speaker 2>you have zero income coming your way. I mean, I'm
<v Speaker 2>talking zero dollars, right? But you have on every designer
<v Speaker 2>you could think of. But as soon as you need
<v Speaker 2>to get your hair done, you got to hit up
<v Speaker 2>this person, that person, that person. You got to rob
<v Speaker 2>Peter to pay Paul. You know, you don't want that
<v Speaker 2>to be the circumstance. Like, you know, you want everything
<v Speaker 2>to be balanced.
<v Speaker 1>You know what I mean? I would... I would rather have,
<v Speaker 1>you know, more of.
<v Speaker 2>A decent sort of situation and pull up and really
<v Speaker 2>like have a nicer living arrangement than have my car
<v Speaker 2>be the living arrangement. And where I live is not ideal, right?
<v Speaker 2>Like I feel awkward about that. I would feel strange
<v Speaker 2>having a Birkin bag and I'm, you know, and my
<v Speaker 2>circumstances aren't ideal. I'm not trying to be offensive. So
<v Speaker 2>I just want to Be careful of what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 2>But I'm not doing a Birkin right now. Like, I'm
<v Speaker 2>not going to have a Birkin right now. You know,
<v Speaker 2>it just doesn't make sense for me to have a
<v Speaker 2>Birkin right now. You know, it just doesn't really add up.
<v Speaker 2>You know, when I could pay more on my car
<v Speaker 2>note or whatever, whatever.
<v Speaker 1>Like, whatever. You understand what it is that I'm saying.
<v Speaker 1>That is adulthood. And I have a question for you guys.
<v Speaker 2>If nobody could see what you purchased, how differently would
<v Speaker 2>you spend your money?
<v Speaker 1>If nobody at all saw it, how differently would you
<v Speaker 1>spend it? That's what you should ask yourself.
<v Speaker 2>Point number four, your relationship also requires discipline too. Your
<v Speaker 2>relationship life requires discipline too. And this is what people
<v Speaker 2>don't actually associate discipline with.
<v Speaker 1>It's in dating. But standards require discipline. Uh-oh. Got you.
<v Speaker 1>You didn't, I know, I know. You like how I
<v Speaker 1>brought that in there. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Because anybody can have standards when there's nobody around that
<v Speaker 2>they like.
<v Speaker 1>Did I stutter with what I just said? Did you
<v Speaker 1>hear me? Hello?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, it's easy to exercise your standards when there's nobody
<v Speaker 2>around that you like. But the second that you do
<v Speaker 2>find somebody that you like and you're vibing with, it naturally,
<v Speaker 2>it naturally produces behaviors in you where you start to
<v Speaker 2>justify things that you would not because you like that person. Hey,
<v Speaker 2>psychology shows when you like someone, you associate all positive
<v Speaker 2>qualities with them. When you don't like someone, you associate
<v Speaker 2>negative qualities with them. Your standards, they actually get tested
<v Speaker 2>when you're attracted to somebody. When you're lonely, when there's chemistry,
<v Speaker 2>when you really want it to work, that is when
<v Speaker 2>discipline says, I can like you and still recognize that
<v Speaker 2>you're not right for me. You need discipline not to
<v Speaker 2>text the person that you know destabilizes you. You need
<v Speaker 2>discipline in order to not romanticize potential. You need discipline
<v Speaker 2>to not explain away behavior.
<v Speaker 1>Because you're attracted to somebody.
<v Speaker 2>You need discipline to not accept the inconsistent treatment because
<v Speaker 2>you're afraid of starting over. Having standards is not just
<v Speaker 2>knowing what you deserve, it's having enough self-control to walk
<v Speaker 2>away from what does not meet them. Because the truth is,
<v Speaker 2>Standards without discipline are just preferences, okay? Point number five,
<v Speaker 2>I hope you were taking notes. You can be busy
<v Speaker 2>and still not be building anything.
<v Speaker 1>Let me tell you something. One of the most.
<v Speaker 2>Powerful things that I've ever discovered, quote wise, I remember
<v Speaker 2>I went to my friend's boyfriend's house because they were
<v Speaker 2>having a get together and he had a roommate at
<v Speaker 2>the time and in the kitchen on the wall, it said,
<v Speaker 2>something like be productive and not busy. And I remember
<v Speaker 2>the first time I saw that, I think I was
<v Speaker 2>21 years old. I might've been 23 or something of
<v Speaker 2>that nature. And I remember being so fascinated by that
<v Speaker 2>quote thinking, wait, I kind of thought busy meant being productive.
<v Speaker 1>Oh no, no, no. They do not mean the same thing.
<v Speaker 2>Because you can be busy, like I said, and you
<v Speaker 2>are still not building anything at all. There's no substantial
<v Speaker 2>progress being made. And that's because you can be busy
<v Speaker 2>doom scrolling on TikTok.
<v Speaker 1>You could be.
<v Speaker 2>Busy being stuck in analysis paralysis because you want to
<v Speaker 2>try this course and that course. And you always have
<v Speaker 2>to have this like, Teach, you have.
<v Speaker 1>To go to school before you do anything.
<v Speaker 2>People like that, if there's one thing that I learned,
<v Speaker 2>people like that will always be in a cycle.
<v Speaker 1>And only they, each as an individual, we can only
<v Speaker 1>get ourselves out of holes. Okay.
<v Speaker 2>Because we have to make the decision to go farther
<v Speaker 2>than our furthest point, right? If you were someone that
<v Speaker 2>every time you get into something, you got to go
<v Speaker 2>through six months.
<v Speaker 1>Of school and courses.
<v Speaker 2>And I'm not saying don't be qualified, but what I'm
<v Speaker 2>saying is some people get stuck in that mode and
<v Speaker 2>you use that as a way to procrastinate because you're
<v Speaker 2>getting a payoff from feeling like you're researching, oh, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I was going to get my certification so I can
<v Speaker 2>practice therapy, and okay, six months have gone by.
<v Speaker 1>Again, I'm just throwing this out there.
<v Speaker 2>And you know those types of people where it's like, oh,
<v Speaker 2>I just researched today.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, great.
<v Speaker 2>I'm glad you researched it today. But it's been six
<v Speaker 2>months and you haven't started this thing yet. You said
<v Speaker 2>you wanted to start a YouTube channel. You've spent six
<v Speaker 2>months watching other people start their channels. You've spent six
<v Speaker 2>months watching content on how to start a YouTube channel.
<v Speaker 1>It's an excuse for you to procrastinate.
<v Speaker 2>That's what it is. At some point, you have to
<v Speaker 2>literally execute and just do.
<v Speaker 1>That is it. Shut up. We don't want to hear it.
<v Speaker 2>So that's what I'm saying by you can be busy
<v Speaker 2>and you're still not building anything because some of us
<v Speaker 2>are exhausted every day.
<v Speaker 1>But we're not actually progressing. Oh, I'm tired, I just
<v Speaker 1>need to lay down.
<v Speaker 2>Because you've taught your brain to not do hard things.
<v Speaker 2>And I remember my therapist, one of the greatest things
<v Speaker 2>she ever shared with me was, a body in motion
<v Speaker 2>stays in motion.
<v Speaker 1>A body at rest stays at rest.
<v Speaker 2>So if you're, and it's so true because it's such
<v Speaker 2>a mind thing, where if you're someone that every single
<v Speaker 2>day you're getting tired around the same time.
<v Speaker 1>You can feel those things.
<v Speaker 2>And it's because a lot of the time you've gotten
<v Speaker 2>into the habit of going to bed probably at three
<v Speaker 2>o'clock in the morning and then waking up at 12,
<v Speaker 2>and then starting your day at 4 p.m., you know,
<v Speaker 2>starting your day at 2 p.m., and then you eat,
<v Speaker 2>and now you're tired, and you want to take a
<v Speaker 2>nap at 3.30, and then you're waking up at 6,
<v Speaker 2>and then you're scrolling on Instagram, and then you're scrolling
<v Speaker 2>on TikTok, and then you're doing your research. And to you, unfortunately,
<v Speaker 2>you think you've had a productive day.
<v Speaker 1>You haven't. You haven't.
<v Speaker 2>You haven't done anything. You move like a turtle, okay?
<v Speaker 2>You got to pick up the pace. Because money loves speed.
<v Speaker 2>Success loves progress. I'm sorry, I just saw that quote
<v Speaker 2>somewhere and it was great. That's what it is at
<v Speaker 2>the end of the day. And I hope I quoted
<v Speaker 2>that correctly. But activity and progress are not the same thing. Emails,
<v Speaker 2>scrolling for research, like I said, reorganizing your planner, talking
<v Speaker 2>about what you're going to do, watching productivity videos, planning, preparing, thinking, tweaking,
<v Speaker 2>and somehow nothing is actually ever getting done with you.
<v Speaker 1>You're always beginning to do everything. We've had enough.
<v Speaker 2>And if you don't realize and recognize this pattern in yourself,
<v Speaker 2>you're in trouble. Sometimes planning becomes sophisticated procrastination and that's
<v Speaker 2>what it really is.
<v Speaker 1>You have to be honest with yourself. What are three.
<v Speaker 2>Activities in my life that actually move my life forward?
<v Speaker 2>Not 25 things, three. For your career, for your business,
<v Speaker 2>and for your health, right? For your faith, it could be.
<v Speaker 2>Whatever it is that you're building. And then protect those
<v Speaker 2>things because your life is not going to change because
<v Speaker 2>you became busier. No, it's going to change because you
<v Speaker 2>became more intentional and you became an executor.
<v Speaker 1>Number six, and we're almost done. Stop trying to transform 10.
<v Speaker 2>Areas of your life at once. When I say get granular,
<v Speaker 2>I mean it, get granular. And I believe that this
<v Speaker 2>is the part where a lot of people do sabotage
<v Speaker 2>themselves because Monday's gonna come and suddenly we're waking up
<v Speaker 2>at 5 a.m., right? and we're working out six days
<v Speaker 2>a week, and we're reading 40 pages a day, and
<v Speaker 2>we're drinking a gallon of water, and we're meal prepping,
<v Speaker 2>and we're journaling, all right? We're meditating, saving money, starting
<v Speaker 2>a business, learning Spanish. Girl, by Thursday, of course you're
<v Speaker 2>gonna be exhausted. Why do we operate like that?
<v Speaker 1>Why do we feel like we have to... Real transformation
<v Speaker 1>is usually boring. Ding! That's the key.
<v Speaker 2>Real transformation is usually boring. It is in the boring
<v Speaker 2>and mundane work that's gonna move the needle forward.
<v Speaker 1>It's doing a few.
<v Speaker 2>Things consistently, for long enough that they become part of
<v Speaker 2>who you are. So for this winter arc, pick three
<v Speaker 2>or four areas, right? For your body, are you going
<v Speaker 2>to be focusing on the movement, nutrition? For your money,
<v Speaker 2>are you going to be focusing on your income, saving
<v Speaker 2>or freeing up debt? For your purpose, are you going
<v Speaker 2>to be focusing on your career, business or creative work
<v Speaker 2>or your spirit? you know, for your spiritual life, which
<v Speaker 2>this just to me is inevitable. You should be having prayer, scripture,
<v Speaker 2>and focusing on your relationship with God. And then you
<v Speaker 2>can even ask yourself, well, what would consistency in this
<v Speaker 2>area actually look like for the next 90 days? Not perfection,
<v Speaker 2>but consistency.
<v Speaker 1>Everybody shows you.
<v Speaker 2>Guys those videos, I'm about to start doing one myself.
<v Speaker 2>I'm about to do a little 30-day challenge where it's like,
<v Speaker 2>dang it, because I've never done it before. I think
<v Speaker 2>I have fantasized or danced with the idea of, ooh,
<v Speaker 2>like what if I posted every day a talking head
<v Speaker 2>video on my Instagram and seeing how much that would
<v Speaker 2>allow me to grow because I'm tired of being.
<v Speaker 1>not at 50,000 followers yet, what would that look like?
<v Speaker 2>And maybe I also said that out loud because I mean,
<v Speaker 2>you guys can hold me accountable for it.
<v Speaker 1>You know what I mean?
<v Speaker 2>It's a lot, but it has to be done. End
<v Speaker 2>of story, no excuses, right? But this is just what
<v Speaker 2>it is. Do you want a certain life or not?
<v Speaker 2>Number seven, your environment will either support your discipline or
<v Speaker 2>it's gonna fight it. Stop making discipline unnecessarily difficult. If
<v Speaker 2>you're trying to stop texting somebody you know, then why
<v Speaker 2>are they still pinned at the top of your messages, okay?
<v Speaker 2>If you're trying to stop spending, then why are you
<v Speaker 2>browsing shopping apps at night, all right? If you're trying
<v Speaker 2>to focus, then why is your phone sitting next to
<v Speaker 2>you with 87 notifications? And if you're trying to eat differently,
<v Speaker 2>then what is in your kitchen? If you're trying to
<v Speaker 2>eat differently, why did you just go buy a bag
<v Speaker 2>of Cheetos and Cool Ranch Doritos, all right?
<v Speaker 1>Willpower is useful.
<v Speaker 2>But your environment matters because sometimes becoming disciplined means removing
<v Speaker 2>the opportunity to constantly negotiate with yourself.
<v Speaker 1>And it's true. You got to reparent yourself just like that. Nope,
<v Speaker 1>we're not going to bring it in the house. Okay.
<v Speaker 2>And that's how you, I'm saying this as someone and
<v Speaker 2>I'm in my early 30s, and it's just like, I
<v Speaker 2>actually think about it literally just like this, where I'm like,
<v Speaker 2>I'm just not gonna bring certain things in my house
<v Speaker 2>because I don't even want to dance with the temptation.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want to have, I know how I get
<v Speaker 2>when there's fruit roll-ups in the room. I know what
<v Speaker 2>it is.
<v Speaker 1>Guys, I just got this eyelash out of my eye.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like that's such a flex because you know
<v Speaker 2>when something's in your eye, And you can't get to it.
<v Speaker 1>And the fact that I legit got, girl.
<v Speaker 2>Anyways, I know that food roll-ups have no, they have,
<v Speaker 2>you know, now that I bring it up, I'm not
<v Speaker 2>gonna lie, I do want it.
<v Speaker 1>But I'm not gonna do it. But I'm not gonna
<v Speaker 1>do it, okay? Because why?
<v Speaker 2>I'm removing the opportunity to constantly negotiate with myself.
<v Speaker 1>If it's here, I'm gonna feel like, let me just
<v Speaker 1>down this whole box and I'll start over tomorrow. No.
<v Speaker 1>And then point number eight, discipline is not punishment, okay?
<v Speaker 2>I also want you to make the distinction because sometimes
<v Speaker 2>the lock-in culture becomes extreme, right? Discipline doesn't mean that
<v Speaker 2>you aren't allowed to enjoy your life.
<v Speaker 1>Rest is necessary. It's a part of the process.
<v Speaker 2>Friendships matter. Joy matters. Going out matters. Having fun matters.
<v Speaker 2>I don't believe that becoming successful requires becoming miserable. The
<v Speaker 2>goal is not how much can I deprive myself? No,
<v Speaker 2>the goal is, can I stop allowing the temporary comfort
<v Speaker 2>to casually sabotage what I say that I want long-term?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, hello, that's completely different.
<v Speaker 2>Discipline should create more freedom in your life, not make
<v Speaker 2>your life feel like a prison.
<v Speaker 1>Point number nine, we're almost done.
<v Speaker 2>What would January you think you for? Because I think
<v Speaker 2>we all know by now, we're not waiting until January, girl.
<v Speaker 2>That's why we came up with the winter arc. And
<v Speaker 2>here's the question that I want everybody to sit with.
<v Speaker 2>If January you could sit across from you right now,
<v Speaker 2>what would she beg you to start doing today? I
<v Speaker 2>don't think enough of us truly understand the power of consistency.
<v Speaker 2>It's a numbers game where inevitably you're going to have
<v Speaker 2>enough data in a certain direction to make a decision.
<v Speaker 1>Fair? That's a very fair statement. Okay. Maybe January you
<v Speaker 1>would say, please save your money. Please post the content.
<v Speaker 1>Please leave him alone. Please go to therapy. Please pray.
<v Speaker 1>Please go to the gym.
<v Speaker 2>Please finish the project. Please stop procrastinating. Please stop shrinking yourself.
<v Speaker 2>Please take yourself seriously. Three months, it sounds short, but
<v Speaker 2>three months of consistency can create an entirely different trajectory.
<v Speaker 1>So yes, have your winter arc.
<v Speaker 2>Get in the gym, do your skincare, change your wardrobe,
<v Speaker 2>drink your water, get your hair done. Become the prettiest
<v Speaker 2>version of yourself if that's what you want, but do
<v Speaker 2>not just stop there. Become more disciplined. Become financially smarter.
<v Speaker 2>become emotionally stronger, become spiritually deeper, become more consistent, and
<v Speaker 2>become more selective. Become someone whose word actually means something,
<v Speaker 2>even when the only.
<v Speaker 1>Person who heard the promise was you.
<v Speaker 2>Because the next goal isn't just to walk into the
<v Speaker 2>next year looking different. The goal is to walk into
<v Speaker 2>the next year knowing that you can trust the woman
<v Speaker 2>that you've become. And that, to me, is a glow up, okay?
<v Speaker 2>Thank you so much, guys, for sitting with me. Send
<v Speaker 2>this to your group chat, okay? You guys are talking
<v Speaker 2>about something anyways. You might as well send this in
<v Speaker 2>the group chat so you can have some little... a
<v Speaker 2>little educational talk with the girlies, and we're not gonna
<v Speaker 2>gatekeep here. Make sure that you hype this video by
<v Speaker 2>liking the video. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel.
<v Speaker 2>Turn on the post notifications. I post every single week,
<v Speaker 2>every Wednesday on the channel. So look out for that.
<v Speaker 2>Make sure, again, that you are subscribed. Make sure that
<v Speaker 2>you are supporting the channel. We have a lot of goals,
<v Speaker 2>a lot of things that we want to do, and
<v Speaker 2>it takes team effort. Teamwork makes the dream work. With
<v Speaker 2>that being said, do not forget that I love you
<v Speaker 2>and God loves you. I'll speak to you beautiful angels
<v Speaker 2>in my next episode.
