<v Speaker 1>You're waking up to Denver's Morning Show.
<v Speaker 2>With Nina and Josh.
<v Speaker 1>Mix 100.
<v Speaker 2>Josh, we made it through yesterday, our big TV debut,
<v Speaker 2>if you would call it.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>We were on Fox 31 yesterday with Denise Plant for
<v Speaker 2>A Great Day Colorado. We had our little segment there.
<v Speaker 2>We're going to post it later on today, just in
<v Speaker 2>case anyone missed it. We were just there, just basically
<v Speaker 2>talking about the new show and the things that we're doing,
<v Speaker 2>and it was pretty cool.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, we got a little tour of everything, see how
<v Speaker 4>their new station works and all the behind-the-scenes stuff.
<v Speaker 1>And I always think that's kind of neat because... Huge space.
<v Speaker 2>It was gigantic.
<v Speaker 1>Massive.
<v Speaker 4>But we see them on TV all the time, but
<v Speaker 4>to see the behind-the-scenes and there were so many different
<v Speaker 4>makeup areas and make sure everybody looks so beautiful on TV. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>It was really fun to get the behind the scenes
<v Speaker 1>and everybody was so nice there.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, most definitely.
<v Speaker 2>So thank you to everyone over there at Fox 31
<v Speaker 2>and Denise Plant for having us at Great Day Colorado.
<v Speaker 2>So Josh, lots of rain this morning. It's been raining
<v Speaker 2>since yesterday afternoon.
<v Speaker 1>You know what?
<v Speaker 4>Okay, so I'm going to talk about this right now.
<v Speaker 4>Humans are like never satisfied. And I'm going to talk
<v Speaker 4>about myself here because all I've done is complain about
<v Speaker 4>how much I hate the heat. And it has been
<v Speaker 4>so bad lately, right? Until I wake up this morning
<v Speaker 4>and I get in my car and I'm.
<v Speaker 1>Like, I'm so cold. It's so wet. I hate everything.
<v Speaker 1>What's going on? Shut up.
<v Speaker 4>And I noticed that while I was actively doing it
<v Speaker 4>on my drive in this morning.
<v Speaker 1>And I was like, okay, hold on. I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>be that person.
<v Speaker 4>Colorado needs this wet rain so badly. And on top
<v Speaker 4>of that, I think they're getting snow in the mountains
<v Speaker 4>right now, which.
<v Speaker 1>Is also what we need.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, we need that. In the middle of my drive in,
<v Speaker 4>I was like, okay, you know what? Be thankful for today.
<v Speaker 1>We have rain. It's cool out. It feels like fall.
<v Speaker 1>And I love that. And I'm content and I'm happy now. Well, good.
<v Speaker 1>I caught myself in the middle of a complaint and
<v Speaker 1>I didn't like that.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, we forget sometimes. And because it is such
<v Speaker 2>a drastic change, it's been 80. It's been way too hot.
<v Speaker 1>Seriously.
<v Speaker 2>Up until now. And so, yeah, just throw on the
<v Speaker 2>seat warmers if you got them. If not, you know,
<v Speaker 2>just put on the heat. It's okay. Especially this early
<v Speaker 2>in the morning. It is so much colder. I turned
<v Speaker 2>both on. I have the heat warmer and my heater
<v Speaker 2>on today.
<v Speaker 4>When you drive in at 4 in the morning, it
<v Speaker 4>is much colder than your 8 a.m.
<v Speaker 1>Drive in. I'll just say that. Yeah, definitely. And the
<v Speaker 1>sun's not even up yet.
<v Speaker 2>No, exactly. So maybe the sun will be able to
<v Speaker 2>peek out today. But I have a feeling it's going
<v Speaker 2>to be all cloudy and rainy all day today.
<v Speaker 1>Dreary, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we'll see. We have so much
<v Speaker 2>to catch up on on the Celebrity Quickie. Surprisingly, a
<v Speaker 2>lot has happened. Well, today I thought it was Thursday.
<v Speaker 2>Last Tuesday.
<v Speaker 1>Yesterday was Tuesday. You poor thing. I'm going to call
<v Speaker 1>you out a little bit here. You have no idea
<v Speaker 1>what day it is. I don't know. You show up
<v Speaker 1>and you're like, okay, Thursday. What do we got to
<v Speaker 1>do today? And I'm like, I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>You're like, no, no.
<v Speaker 1>No, it's Wednesday. Today is Wednesday. You just looked at
<v Speaker 1>me like, what are you talking about?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, my world just came crashing down.
<v Speaker 1>You poor thing.
<v Speaker 2>It is only Wednesday.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, goodness.
<v Speaker 2>That's okay, we're gonna get through it. We're at least
<v Speaker 2>halfway through it. Almost halfway. Well, whether you see them
<v Speaker 2>as celebrities or not, influencers are just here. They're here,
<v Speaker 2>they're everywhere.
<v Speaker 1>Everywhere.
<v Speaker 2>Everywhere, okay. And they're not quite celebrities, but they are
<v Speaker 2>constantly on our feed. We know who they are. And
<v Speaker 2>maybe you know Jules LeBron. Very demure. Very mindful.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, is that the one that did that?
<v Speaker 2>Yes.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, I know LeBron James.
<v Speaker 2>No.
<v Speaker 1>Different.
<v Speaker 6>Okay, okay.
<v Speaker 5>No, their name is Jules LeBron. They're from Chicago.
<v Speaker 2>And this is the person that came up with that
<v Speaker 2>TikTok on their way to work. And it went insanely viral.
<v Speaker 2>And since then, they've.
<v Speaker 5>Become an influencer, beauty guru, gone on brand trips, all
<v Speaker 5>of the above.
<v Speaker 2>But Jules also very much needed some dental work done.
<v Speaker 2>from some past substance abuse issues that they had.
<v Speaker 5>Teeth were just rotting in their mouth.
<v Speaker 2>So this influencer put out a video in a GoFundMe online,
<v Speaker 2>and it was very much criticized by a lot of people,
<v Speaker 2>but it didn't blow up until Jeffree Star kind of
<v Speaker 2>came into play on it.
<v Speaker 1>Jeffree's big.
<v Speaker 2>Jeffree is big.
<v Speaker 1>Jeffree's big.
<v Speaker 2>You know, huge in the beauty industry and makeup industry,
<v Speaker 2>and Jules LeBron also does makeup, and kind of knows
<v Speaker 2>Jeffree Star, and they're not friends. And so when Jules
<v Speaker 2>put this GoFundMe out there to help fix her teeth,
<v Speaker 2>Jeffree Star went on the attack and was like, you're
<v Speaker 2>an influencer, you can't be coming on here begging for money,
<v Speaker 2>which we understand, but the way Jeffree did it was
<v Speaker 2>in not such a great way. And people were calling
<v Speaker 2>him out as well. It was very much just like
<v Speaker 2>a lose-lose for all of that. But after weeks of
<v Speaker 2>fighting online, Jules ended up getting her dental work done.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, well that's good.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so she had to cancel the GoFundMe because of
<v Speaker 2>all the criticism that they were receiving, but it looks
<v Speaker 2>like this dentist in New York just went ahead and
<v Speaker 2>did it for free, which is like half of what
<v Speaker 2>being an influencer.
<v Speaker 1>Is, right? Yeah, all you gotta do is say, do
<v Speaker 1>my dental work, I'll talk about you. There you go. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>And this story blew up so much that, yeah, she
<v Speaker 2>got the recognition. I mean, when she got the hate
<v Speaker 2>and the criticism from Jeffree Star, that blew it up
<v Speaker 2>more than what the video would have done on its own.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. What do they say? No bad publicity.
<v Speaker 1>There's no such thing as bad publicity. Right.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>It'll help you out no matter what. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I have a.
<v Speaker 4>Bit of a problem with any type of influencer going
<v Speaker 4>on there and begging for money just because you're like
<v Speaker 4>sure dude you have brand deals you have these things
<v Speaker 4>you are making money especially if you have a certain
<v Speaker 4>amount of followers if you're like i'm just starting out.
<v Speaker 2>And jules has openly talked about some of the the
<v Speaker 2>big brand deals that they've received like thirty thousand dollars
<v Speaker 2>at one point i.
<v Speaker 4>Don't like that where you brag not brag but talk
<v Speaker 4>about what you've already received and.
<v Speaker 1>Then you're on there like hey if i could just
<v Speaker 1>get some money like.
<v Speaker 2>Which is a lot.
<v Speaker 1>I don't love that. I don't love that. But hey,
<v Speaker 1>you know what? You got your teeth fixed. That is awesome.
<v Speaker 1>I do want to talk about Michael Jackson.
<v Speaker 4>He's back in the news because he had that iconic
<v Speaker 4>Super Bowl halftime show way back in the 90s.
<v Speaker 1>I believe it was 1993.
<v Speaker 4>And it kind of set the tone for like what
<v Speaker 4>nowadays Super Bowl halftime shows look like.
<v Speaker 1>It was a spectacle, right?
<v Speaker 7>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>It's Michael Jackson. Obviously, it's going to be.
<v Speaker 4>But now he's going to have a documentary kind of
<v Speaker 4>showing exactly what went into that. It's called Spectacle, Michael
<v Speaker 4>Jackson at the Super Bowl, and it will stream on Hulu, ESPN,
<v Speaker 4>and many other ABC, a couple other broadcasting companies as well.
<v Speaker 4>In February of 2027, Jackson performed at the Rose Bowl
<v Speaker 4>in Pasadena, California in 1993, and the show is widely
<v Speaker 4>regarded as one of the greatest halftime shows of all time.
<v Speaker 4>I've actually watched that several times just because it was
<v Speaker 4>such a separating factor from what they used to look like.
<v Speaker 4>It's kind of like, BC and AD type thing. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>it really was because he is just that impactful in
<v Speaker 4>the music industry, right?
<v Speaker 2>Truly. I mean, people still talk about it. The audiences
<v Speaker 2>still talk about it. Performers still talk about it. It
<v Speaker 2>just like being such an inspiration.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah.
<v Speaker 4>The whole thing about him where he was like, no
<v Speaker 4>one starts the music until I take off my sunglasses.
<v Speaker 4>And he stood there for 90 seconds of just silence.
<v Speaker 1>Like the dude's the goat. I love it.
<v Speaker 4>I'm going to be watching this again. It comes out
<v Speaker 4>right before the, the actual Super Bowl. So this is
<v Speaker 4>going to come out in February of 2027, and the
<v Speaker 4>Super Bowl is February 14th, so Valentine's Day this year.
<v Speaker 4>I'm going to be watching it. I think everybody else should.
<v Speaker 4>I loved the new Michael movie that came out this year.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, the not documentary, the movie.
<v Speaker 4>The movie, yeah, and there's a part two coming out,
<v Speaker 4>I believe, either next year or the year after that.
<v Speaker 4>So I'm all Michael Jackson-ed out right now, and I
<v Speaker 4>love it.
<v Speaker 2>It's funny. He has such a big resurgence right now
<v Speaker 2>just because of that movie, and a lot of kids,
<v Speaker 2>a lot of little kids are so... He is a
<v Speaker 2>very interesting person in the life that he lived. And
<v Speaker 2>the dance moves and the costumes and all of it.
<v Speaker 2>And I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot
<v Speaker 2>of Michael Jacksons for Halloween this year.
<v Speaker 1>My nephew is eight, nine? Eight or nine years old.
<v Speaker 4>And he is going as Michael Jackson this year.
<v Speaker 2>There you go.
<v Speaker 1>They loved the movie.
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, dang, you guys, you were born decades after
<v Speaker 4>his music was hot, you know?
<v Speaker 2>Exactly. Watch out for all those little MJs running around
<v Speaker 2>for Halloween this year.
<v Speaker 1>It's happening.
<v Speaker 2>So Josh, yesterday was an exciting day because we were
<v Speaker 2>on Great Day Colorado at Fox 31. We'll post up
<v Speaker 2>the clip a little bit later. But that is also
<v Speaker 2>when we were leaving when the rain started. And I
<v Speaker 2>feel like it hasn't stopped since. And we're happy about
<v Speaker 2>the rain. We love the rain. We're excited for it.
<v Speaker 5>We need it. All of our dads are all saying
<v Speaker 5>the same thing.
<v Speaker 1>Boy, we needed it.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you.
<v Speaker 5>We'll take all of that.
<v Speaker 2>But on my drive in today, you know, I'm driving through.
<v Speaker 5>And I'm like, oh, man, this is the start of everything.
<v Speaker 2>You know, some precipitation coming in and hopefully we get
<v Speaker 2>some snow later on this winter. And as I'm driving in,
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, you know, we'll have to watch that on
<v Speaker 2>the roads because.
<v Speaker 5>Early morning driving, it's that much colder, right?
<v Speaker 1>The ice, yeah, the ice will get you.
<v Speaker 2>And I have slipped on black ice before, and so
<v Speaker 2>I'm also very like, I gotta watch myself.
<v Speaker 1>You're very aware, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm very, very aware about it now just because
<v Speaker 2>I've had that experience in the past. And I'm driving,
<v Speaker 2>I'm driving, and then all of a sudden, for the
<v Speaker 2>first time on I-25, I see a Waymo.
<v Speaker 5>And it is going so slow.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, are you serious? Okay, it's like the old grandma
<v Speaker 1>trying to drive. Like, I can get there.
<v Speaker 2>It's so slow.
<v Speaker 5>I had never seen one on the highway yet.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think I have either.
<v Speaker 2>I've just seen them on side streets here and there.
<v Speaker 1>Did it get lost?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, right.
<v Speaker 3>Poor guy.
<v Speaker 2>But this was the first time I saw a Waymo
<v Speaker 2>in Colorado on the highway. So super early morning. There
<v Speaker 2>wasn't a lot of cars around. But every car that
<v Speaker 2>is going on the road, we're just flying past this Waymo.
<v Speaker 1>Speed limit 65.
<v Speaker 2>It is going so slow. And so I just start
<v Speaker 2>laughing just because at how hilarious it is that every
<v Speaker 2>car is just zooming past it. But then I was like,
<v Speaker 2>oh no, what is a Waymo going to do in
<v Speaker 2>the snow? Because I was thinking about the snow with
<v Speaker 2>all the rain coming down.
<v Speaker 4>That's the million dollar question here, Nina, is that's kind
<v Speaker 4>of why they were the... the city that they're testing
<v Speaker 4>all of the snow out with.
<v Speaker 2>Wait, really? They don't have it anywhere else with snow?
<v Speaker 1>Mm-mm. I mean, in California, no, they don't really have
<v Speaker 1>the snow where they're at. That's what I've heard. And
<v Speaker 1>it's in Vegas, too.
<v Speaker 4>Colorado's really the first place that they're going to be like, hey,
<v Speaker 4>we're testing this out to see if it can get.
<v Speaker 1>Through the snow at all. Yikes. I know.
<v Speaker 2>Interesting.
<v Speaker 4>And if you're already saying it's going four miles an
<v Speaker 4>hour on the highway in the rain.
<v Speaker 2>It was so slow, Josh. It really was. They need
<v Speaker 2>to get the Waymos in Colorado. They're going to have
<v Speaker 2>to get them snow tires.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even know.
<v Speaker 2>There's no other way.
<v Speaker 4>Can a battery-operated car or a self-drive car, I don't
<v Speaker 4>even know what you call it, if a self-drive car,
<v Speaker 4>can it put itself in four-wheel drive?
<v Speaker 5>Does it have four-wheel drive?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. You have to. In Colorado, or at
<v Speaker 1>least all-wheel, right?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>You just made me so nervous.
<v Speaker 2>We should all be nervous. I am just waving the flag, alert, alert.
<v Speaker 2>We should all be thinking about this. If you see
<v Speaker 2>a Waymo and it's snowing, stay far away. Or, what
<v Speaker 2>if the Waymo, it gets stuck? I foresee them getting
<v Speaker 2>stuck and blocking up traffic lanes.
<v Speaker 1>Help, help. Hell, I don't know. Like, I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what you do. What do you do at that point?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. But yeah, as I was flying past
<v Speaker 2>the Waymo for the first time on the interstate today,
<v Speaker 2>I was like, what is going to happen when it
<v Speaker 2>starts to snow? And it is starting to snow right
<v Speaker 2>now up in the mountains. So it's a matter of time.
<v Speaker 1>We're so screwed.
<v Speaker 2>It's bad. I'm nervous about it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, God.
<v Speaker 2>Three things you need to know before you go into
<v Speaker 2>the office today, like Sundance Film Festival. It is coming
<v Speaker 2>to Boulder in 2027 for the first time. They're moving
<v Speaker 2>it out of, where was it, Utah, Salt Lake City?
<v Speaker 2>And today is a huge day for fans of Sundance
<v Speaker 2>and everyone who is excited that it is coming to
<v Speaker 2>Colorado because... Ticket packages actually go on sale to the
<v Speaker 2>public today. So these ticket packages, they're actually bundles for
<v Speaker 2>multiple days and multiple viewings of movies at Sundance up
<v Speaker 2>to 10 different movies in one package. So the prices,
<v Speaker 2>they are doing their thing, let me tell you.
<v Speaker 1>Their pricing?
<v Speaker 2>Uh-huh, they range from $ 275 for student bundles, which isn't bad,
<v Speaker 2>but that is for the students, to $ 4, 500 for a
<v Speaker 2>pass with unlimited screenings during the second half of the festival.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, well unlimited, that's kind of cool.
<v Speaker 5>That's only for the second half of the festival. That's
<v Speaker 5>only for half of it, dude.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. I'm just trying to keep a positive face.
<v Speaker 2>On right now.
<v Speaker 5>Right, right, right, right, right, right.
<v Speaker 2>No, it is exciting that it is coming to Boulder
<v Speaker 2>and to Colorado. And this is the first time, and
<v Speaker 2>it's going to be a huge deal. I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>even try to get out there, because why not?
<v Speaker 1>Well, I don't know, Nina. Let's be honest. This is
<v Speaker 1>a bougie event. It is.
<v Speaker 4>This is something that is for the people that really
<v Speaker 4>enjoy film and how it's put together and all of that.
<v Speaker 4>And that is a very high-end thing to enjoy.
<v Speaker 7>For sure.
<v Speaker 1>Right?
<v Speaker 2>No, for sure it is. This is something that could
<v Speaker 2>absolutely be held in Aspen, but I'm so glad it's
<v Speaker 2>in Boulder because it's closer. But listen, here's the thing.
<v Speaker 2>If you're like, oh, there's no way I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>go because you're hearing these prices, well, the good news
<v Speaker 2>is that these are just the bundle prices, and that's
<v Speaker 2>what's on sale today.
<v Speaker 4>Okay.
<v Speaker 2>Single film tickets are going to go on sale later
<v Speaker 2>at the beginning of the year, January 8th, with prices
<v Speaker 2>starting at $ 37 for a viewing. That I could do.
<v Speaker 1>There we go.
<v Speaker 7>Exactly.
<v Speaker 2>So you can still go, but those just don't go
<v Speaker 2>on sale until January. But for today is the first
<v Speaker 2>day where some type of ticket sales happen for those
<v Speaker 2>who are looking for multiple viewings to pay those higher prices.
<v Speaker 2>But I will say a lot of these packages... do
<v Speaker 2>include like 10 tickets that can be transferred to other people.
<v Speaker 2>So you could split that price with other people as well.
<v Speaker 4>I feel like that's kind of like any festival thing
<v Speaker 4>that you can go to then. Like you don't have
<v Speaker 4>to just pay all of it yourself. Get six or
<v Speaker 4>10 friends.
<v Speaker 8>Yes.
<v Speaker 1>All chip in a little bit. Okay, that's not as
<v Speaker 1>bad then.
<v Speaker 2>That's fine. So it's totally affordable. You can still go
<v Speaker 2>and participate in the first ever Sundance in Boulder.
<v Speaker 1>Well, this is a really cute story here.
<v Speaker 4>A teen's lemonade stand that started out couple years ago
<v Speaker 4>has grown into a $ 5 million charity event helping kids
<v Speaker 4>in need. So Peyton Obert, she is a girl that
<v Speaker 4>was inspired by a teddy bear that she received from
<v Speaker 4>a do-gooder, essentially, during a hospital stay when she was
<v Speaker 4>a little baby. She said that she wanted to help
<v Speaker 4>others some way, somehow, and she found out that launching
<v Speaker 4>a lemonade stand back when she was just eight years old,
<v Speaker 4>it raised $ 768 at that time for children's toys. Now,
<v Speaker 4>A few years later, this has expanded into charity work,
<v Speaker 4>raising over $ 35, 000 to help children in need. Peyton's Lemonade
<v Speaker 4>Stand became an official nonprofit, growing to an annual fundraising
<v Speaker 4>of about $ 170, 000 by this year.
<v Speaker 2>That's amazing.
<v Speaker 1>Unbelievable.
<v Speaker 4>So now she has stands that operate across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky,
<v Speaker 4>West Virginia, Maryland, and New Mexico. The organization has collectively
<v Speaker 4>raised $ 5, 000 million dollars, and get this, it is all
<v Speaker 4>for distributing toys, food, clothing, books, and school supplies to
<v Speaker 4>children who are facing different hardships nationwide.
<v Speaker 2>Wow, that's amazing.
<v Speaker 4>This is just a little girl who saw a need
<v Speaker 4>that was answered for her, a little teddy bear back
<v Speaker 4>when she was in the hospital, and now wanted to
<v Speaker 4>do good and help other people.
<v Speaker 1>Essentially across the nation.
<v Speaker 2>No, these are multiple states, multiple regions.
<v Speaker 1>Exactly. It's a beautiful thing.
<v Speaker 4>And I think that we can all kind of take
<v Speaker 4>something away from what Peyton has seen.
<v Speaker 1>She saw a need and fulfilled it.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. And I think that's a beautiful thing that we
<v Speaker 4>can all take from a little eight-year-old who has started
<v Speaker 4>doing this. And, yeah, she says she has no plans
<v Speaker 4>to stop this. She wants to keep doing this probably
<v Speaker 4>for the rest of her life. I mean, she started
<v Speaker 4>something at such a young age. Yeah. And it's become
<v Speaker 4>so profitable, not even for her, I'm saying to help
<v Speaker 4>other people around the world.
<v Speaker 2>Right.
<v Speaker 1>I love it. I think that's great. So hats off
<v Speaker 1>to you, Peyton.
<v Speaker 6>Yes.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you, Peyton, for doing the work. Josh, I don't
<v Speaker 2>know if you're aware, but yesterday we got a new governor.
<v Speaker 2>Did you know that?
<v Speaker 1>No, I didn't. What happened to our current one?
<v Speaker 2>Well, Angelique Tolbert, an eighth grader from Sky Vista Middle
<v Speaker 2>School in Aurora, won governor for a day. This was
<v Speaker 2>a contest that was hosted by our current governor, Jared Polis.
<v Speaker 2>It was just for the day. And she attended cabinet meetings,
<v Speaker 2>questions from the media. She signed a proclamation saying, declaring yesterday,
<v Speaker 2>let students lead day. So this is the first year
<v Speaker 2>that Governor Polis has held this contest and done it.
<v Speaker 2>And so he wants to continue it. And so he
<v Speaker 2>let her sign that proclamation to continue it. But because
<v Speaker 2>this was the first year he did it, he couldn't
<v Speaker 2>help himself. He said the submission videos were so strong
<v Speaker 2>that he picked two winners instead of just the one.
<v Speaker 2>And coming up, there's going to be another eighth grader,
<v Speaker 2>Weston Hancock from Ridgeline Middle School in Windsor. He's going
<v Speaker 2>to have his day in the governor's office in just
<v Speaker 2>a couple of weeks. But I think it's so cute.
<v Speaker 1>That's awesome. I have one question for you, though.
<v Speaker 2>What's that?
<v Speaker 4>In eighth grade, did you care about any political thing
<v Speaker 4>in the entire world? Like, I just feel like the eight,
<v Speaker 4>like the very, very cool.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. Very cool. If I'm an eighth grader sitting in
<v Speaker 1>meetings all day.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I would hate my life.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, here's the thing, Josh.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just saying.
<v Speaker 2>You and I are very different than these other kids,
<v Speaker 2>I feel like, probably.
<v Speaker 1>What, are you saying they're going to be more successful
<v Speaker 1>than us?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 5>100 million percent.
<v Speaker 3>Okay.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so good job, kids. Keep up the good work.
<v Speaker 2>Don't listen to Josh. You're doing great.
<v Speaker 1>I tried.
<v Speaker 2>You're doing great out there. I am ready for this
<v Speaker 2>week to be over only for, like, one main reason.
<v Speaker 1>Why is that?
<v Speaker 2>Well, because next week we are starting the Mix 100
<v Speaker 2>Cash Clock. And I'm just excited for that.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, we literally get to make people's day by
<v Speaker 4>giving them money. And I don't think there's anything better
<v Speaker 4>than that.
<v Speaker 1>Like, I'm not kidding. There's nothing better than making someone's
<v Speaker 1>day with that.
<v Speaker 2>No, for sure.
<v Speaker 1>Hey, just take cash from us, please.
<v Speaker 3>Right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, exactly. So we're giving away $ 10, 000. All of that
<v Speaker 2>winning starts Monday. So we just got to get through
<v Speaker 2>this week.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, Nina, so I was thinking about this earlier. I
<v Speaker 4>was eating out of a can of Pringles. And it's
<v Speaker 4>always funny, when you try to get to the last
<v Speaker 4>couple chips down there, my hand always gets stuck.
<v Speaker 1>I can't reach it, so I have to just tip
<v Speaker 1>it back and drink the chips. Right.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, so that was last night. And then this morning,
<v Speaker 4>there was a story that came out about Pringles. And
<v Speaker 4>it has nothing to do with chips. It's the weirdest
<v Speaker 4>thing I've ever seen in my entire life. They just announced, Pringles,
<v Speaker 4>the brand, just announced that they are doing.
<v Speaker 1>I can't.
<v Speaker 7>Even say it.
<v Speaker 2>You're like scaring me right now. I'm like, what are
<v Speaker 2>you about to say?
<v Speaker 4>Because it's so out of left field, it doesn't make sense.
<v Speaker 4>There's a spooky contest that Pringles is doing, and it's
<v Speaker 4>called Once You Drop, okay?
<v Speaker 1>Okay.
<v Speaker 4>It is offering you the chance to be buried in
<v Speaker 4>a Pringles can urn.
<v Speaker 1>What?
<v Speaker 4>You just have to sign their will and testament to enter.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my gosh.
<v Speaker 4>It's the craziest thing. You can spend essentially eternity there.
<v Speaker 4>in a Pringles can of your choosing if you win this.
<v Speaker 4>Which is also funny because- Because that's.
<v Speaker 5>Something that a lot of people really, really want.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's kind of different. I was going to
<v Speaker 1>say cool.
<v Speaker 2>I have so many questions.
<v Speaker 1>Please, ask away.
<v Speaker 2>Pringles is running a contest. For someone who is going
<v Speaker 2>to eventually die.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I mean, we all are, but yeah. I mean, yes.
<v Speaker 2>But then to create an urn out of a Pringles
<v Speaker 2>can so that you can be put into the urn. Like,
<v Speaker 2>what is the win here? The win is the Pringles urn?
<v Speaker 2>Is this like a customized thing, I guess?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it's a customized Pringles urn. I mean, you can
<v Speaker 4>make it whatever flavor you want it to be.
<v Speaker 2>It's fine.
<v Speaker 4>Solely up to you. So let me just, let me
<v Speaker 4>give you a background really quick. So once you enter,
<v Speaker 4>you go to once you drop.com drop dead, you can
<v Speaker 4>sign up and then you commit to wanting to be
<v Speaker 4>buried into a Pringles can of some sort.
<v Speaker 1>And honestly, the deadline's coming up here. It's coming up
<v Speaker 1>at October 22nd.
<v Speaker 4>So you only have a few more days to do this,
<v Speaker 4>but is this something like, okay, let me ask you,
<v Speaker 4>Sorry to think about your death.
<v Speaker 1>That's okay. Do you want to be buried or cremated?
<v Speaker 2>I probably want to be cremated. It's cheaper environment.
<v Speaker 1>All of it. I have an urn for you. Shut up.
<v Speaker 2>Here's the thing, Josh. Okay, this contest is mostly silly
<v Speaker 2>to me because couldn't you just bury anyone in a
<v Speaker 2>Pringles can?
<v Speaker 5>If they're cremated, you just throw them in a Pringles can.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, but this is a literal urn. So it's like,
<v Speaker 1>I think Pringles cans will. Like ceramic? Yeah, so like
<v Speaker 1>Pringles cans will dissolve after years.
<v Speaker 2>Deteriorate eventually, yes.
<v Speaker 1>They'll deteriorate, yeah.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know, the grand prize winner is going to
<v Speaker 4>receive an after lifetime supply of Pringles.
<v Speaker 3>What is the point of that?
<v Speaker 4>What do you mean? Which is technically two lifetime supplies
<v Speaker 4>because they are going to give you a can of
<v Speaker 4>Pringles every week for the rest of your life for
<v Speaker 4>the next 200 years.
<v Speaker 1>That's what they're saying.
<v Speaker 4>So you and your next of kin will receive the
<v Speaker 4>Pringles can. And so they actually did the math and
<v Speaker 4>it's essentially $ 30, 000 worth of Pringles if you do that
<v Speaker 4>for the next 200 years. You can also get this
<v Speaker 4>award up front in cash. So you could do that.
<v Speaker 4>But then you also get the Pringles can earn with
<v Speaker 4>personalized engravings, metal in there worth around $ 600.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's an urn.
<v Speaker 2>It has your dead body in it, so you don't
<v Speaker 2>really need to sell that for $ 600 elsewhere.
<v Speaker 4>But also, think about this. So 200 years worth of
<v Speaker 4>free Pringles... You can also have your grandkids be like, look,
<v Speaker 4>Gam Gam is in this, and it's a nice little
<v Speaker 4>personalized Pringles can.
<v Speaker 5>I'm hungry now.
<v Speaker 2>I think Pringles needs new marketing people. I think that's
<v Speaker 2>what needs to happen.
<v Speaker 1>No, I like it.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, the celebrities keeping us entertained for days. And in
<v Speaker 2>this case, Selma Blair keeping us entertained for at least
<v Speaker 2>this past week.
<v Speaker 1>She's been trying her hardest like wow it's.
<v Speaker 2>Been a lot for Selma unfortunately so she was charged
<v Speaker 2>this past week with two felony assault charges against a
<v Speaker 2>police officer and a nurse After she kicked the officer
<v Speaker 2>while being detained and bit a nurse trying to help
<v Speaker 2>her at a hospital after she was kicked off a
<v Speaker 2>flight for fighting the flight attendant.
<v Speaker 1>Which is, what are you doing there?
<v Speaker 8>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Those are the people that are there to literally help you.
<v Speaker 2>To help you. All of those people. I don't understand. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>those two felony assault charges against her right now. She's
<v Speaker 2>going to have to be going to court in the
<v Speaker 2>next coming months. But even though she has a lot
<v Speaker 2>going on right now, I mean, on that flight, she
<v Speaker 2>was traveling from L.A. to New York for work and
<v Speaker 2>she's straight back at it, taking no time off. She
<v Speaker 2>is back to work. mostly because she has to pay
<v Speaker 2>for these upcoming court cases. Yep. But... Poor girl. I know,
<v Speaker 2>I know. I will also say that Selma's lawyer did
<v Speaker 2>put out a statement saying that part of the reason
<v Speaker 2>why she went on the attack and was just mentally
<v Speaker 2>not well is because she recently suffered a head injury
<v Speaker 2>and she had missed some medication before going onto that flight,
<v Speaker 2>which could have had an effect on her as to,
<v Speaker 2>you know, why everything happened the way that it did. So,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I don't want to make fun too much
<v Speaker 2>because it obviously sounds like she was going through some stuff. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>most definitely. But she is back at work at the
<v Speaker 2>same time. And I almost wonder if that will not
<v Speaker 2>help her case. If you're mentally unwell, you're physically unwell,
<v Speaker 2>and yet you're still continuing to go to work, that
<v Speaker 2>doesn't sound great for you.
<v Speaker 1>Well, and you know what I heard?
<v Speaker 4>She already pleaded not guilty to following these on-flight fights.
<v Speaker 4>And so I would assume that she's going to plead
<v Speaker 4>not guilty because of the head injury and maybe being
<v Speaker 4>off her meds.
<v Speaker 1>Like, you can use those as, like, hey, you know what?
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't in my right mind.
<v Speaker 2>It was a medical thing, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>It was a medical emergency type thing.
<v Speaker 4>But that being said, if it's a medical emergency and
<v Speaker 4>you're back at work virtually the next day or within
<v Speaker 4>the next couple days... You're right, that could really hurt
<v Speaker 4>your image a little bit.
<v Speaker 2>You have to look at everything, and a judge is
<v Speaker 2>going to look at everything. So we'll just see what
<v Speaker 2>happens with Selma Blair. But I mean, this was a
<v Speaker 2>shock to a lot of people just hearing that this
<v Speaker 2>happened and it was such a violent thing and just
<v Speaker 2>the way everything went down.
<v Speaker 1>It was definitely interesting.
<v Speaker 4>And if she is really going through something like we
<v Speaker 4>hope she gets the help she needs, because that is
<v Speaker 4>definitely a horrific incident.
<v Speaker 2>But a part of that is taking time off of work.
<v Speaker 2>I understand money and financial and you need that.
<v Speaker 1>Totally.
<v Speaker 2>But also you need to take care of yourself before
<v Speaker 2>you just.
<v Speaker 1>Go to work.
<v Speaker 4>But it's also like if you are trying to use
<v Speaker 4>the I wasn't in the right frame of mind thing,
<v Speaker 4>like don't call in sick to work one day so
<v Speaker 4>you can go play hooky and go to a Rockies
<v Speaker 4>game and then come back the next day and be fine.
<v Speaker 1>You got to play it off a few days.
<v Speaker 2>A little bit.
<v Speaker 4>All right. I want to talk to you about Kelly Clarkson, Nina.
<v Speaker 4>She is back and it is not looking good for
<v Speaker 4>her at all. So Pablo Torre, he is a guy
<v Speaker 4>that is all over social media right now because he
<v Speaker 4>obtained the footage of of the in-store pretty woman moment,
<v Speaker 4>if you will, between the art store and Kelly Clarkson
<v Speaker 4>that we have all been talking about this last week.
<v Speaker 2>Yes.
<v Speaker 1>It does not make Kelly look good.
<v Speaker 2>No.
<v Speaker 1>At all. I want to ask you, did you see
<v Speaker 1>the footage already? I did.
<v Speaker 2>I saw it this morning. I had to watch the
<v Speaker 2>whole thing.
<v Speaker 6>What do you think?
<v Speaker 2>I watched this guy on the podcast kind of try
<v Speaker 2>to break it down a little bit. It's interesting because
<v Speaker 2>the video footage is less than five minutes.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the whole interaction, it seems, with them is like
<v Speaker 1>two or three minutes.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, from Kelly Clarkson walking into the store to walking
<v Speaker 2>out of the store, it is just less than five minutes.
<v Speaker 2>When she first walks in, she seems entertained by everything
<v Speaker 2>that's going on.
<v Speaker 1>She actually picks something off the shelves, like, I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to buy this.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, well.
<v Speaker 1>Or she's looking at it.
<v Speaker 2>I think this art shop, it's very interactive, and they're
<v Speaker 2>very go-ahead... play with everything, touch everything, give everything a
<v Speaker 2>feel or whatever. And so that's what she was doing.
<v Speaker 2>And she was looking around. And this shop, by the way,
<v Speaker 2>very tiny, very small.
<v Speaker 4>Like 800 square feet. It looks so small. It looks
<v Speaker 4>like what every other New York apartment looks like. I mean, tiny.
<v Speaker 2>It is tiny. And it was busy. There was a
<v Speaker 2>ton of people there, including Kelly. And she had her
<v Speaker 2>two kids with her. And they were looking at some
<v Speaker 2>of the stuff on the walls. And eventually, when she
<v Speaker 2>gets to this art installation, this bird that this whole
<v Speaker 2>thing is over, She does ask a question. She finds, like,
<v Speaker 2>the store manager or the owner or whatever and talks
<v Speaker 2>to him. I looked at the clock, Josh. It was
<v Speaker 2>less than a minute that she was talking to him.
<v Speaker 2>And he must have said something that she didn't like
<v Speaker 2>that caused this whole thing because, again, she was only
<v Speaker 2>in that store for less than five minutes. minutes.
<v Speaker 4>Well, and it looked like their interaction, at least from
<v Speaker 4>the part that I saw, it looked like their interaction
<v Speaker 4>wasn't volatile. Like, it wasn't like people yelling at each other.
<v Speaker 4>He was kind of nodding in approval. They pointed at
<v Speaker 4>the wall, which I'm assuming is where the bird was.
<v Speaker 2>And there's no audio at all.
<v Speaker 1>No, no, no. This is all like CC footage.
<v Speaker 4>It's kind of blurry. It's not great footage, but it's
<v Speaker 4>just what their cameras picked up. It just looked like
<v Speaker 4>they had a relatively normal interaction. And then he walks
<v Speaker 4>off like to go help another customer essentially.
<v Speaker 2>And then he is and he's talking to another customer
<v Speaker 2>while the remainder of the time that she's in there.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>And so with that, she kind of like still looks
<v Speaker 4>at the wall and then walks around and then you
<v Speaker 4>see her put whatever she had in her hands back
<v Speaker 4>on the shelf in the store and then kind of
<v Speaker 4>make her way to the door. And that is when
<v Speaker 4>I think things soured because she makes her way to
<v Speaker 4>like the entrance, turns to, I believe at this point,
<v Speaker 4>the man at the.
<v Speaker 1>Cashier, the cash register.
<v Speaker 2>It's right by the front door.
<v Speaker 4>And she, you see like pointing and kind of like
<v Speaker 4>stern talking to.
<v Speaker 1>You can tell. Like how my mom talks to me
<v Speaker 1>when she's mad at me.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, exactly.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and you can tell some words are said there
<v Speaker 4>and then she kind of like walks out in a
<v Speaker 4>huff a little bit yeah and it's that at that
<v Speaker 4>point that i'm like okay i think that's when the
<v Speaker 4>words were said right then even the store owner came
<v Speaker 4>out uh yesterday and said hey i'm worried for my
<v Speaker 4>employees safety yeah because of what she's done and what she's.
<v Speaker 1>Said they're getting threats so with this.
<v Speaker 4>Whole thing lasting less than five minutes i need to
<v Speaker 4>ask you is this a karen moment is this a
<v Speaker 4>true karen moment of someone who's never been told in
<v Speaker 4>their life Told no in their life.
<v Speaker 2>I think it might have been a Karen moment.
<v Speaker 1>I do.
<v Speaker 5>And I love Kelly Clarkson. She's insanely talented.
<v Speaker 2>But I think this was just a moment for her
<v Speaker 2>where she maybe heard just the answers she didn't want
<v Speaker 2>to hear about that bird or whatever it was. But
<v Speaker 2>that's the thing is we don't know what was said.
<v Speaker 2>But when she was talking to the manager, like you
<v Speaker 2>had mentioned, it didn't seem volatile or... bad or anything
<v Speaker 2>at all and then when kelly was leaving yeah she
<v Speaker 2>talked to that attendant and then she left and when
<v Speaker 2>she left one thing i did notice there was another
<v Speaker 2>woman there just a regular customer who was nearby obviously
<v Speaker 2>an earshot of all of this and after kelly left
<v Speaker 2>that woman kind of like sharply turned around like what
<v Speaker 2>did she what did you just say i noticed.
<v Speaker 4>That too yeah so there was two people kind of
<v Speaker 4>standing in the doorway with her a little bit off
<v Speaker 4>to the side And they both, there was a man
<v Speaker 4>with her, and they both.
<v Speaker 1>Looked kind of like.
<v Speaker 2>They both turned and looked like, dang.
<v Speaker 1>Like, dang, what just happened, essentially?
<v Speaker 2>Like, what did you just say?
<v Speaker 1>Like, did I just miss something, you know?
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 4>So I think it could really just reflect poorly on her.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm so anxious. I want her to reply in
<v Speaker 4>some way to try to save face.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, and she has been.
<v Speaker 4>Because she's been doing this the whole time. She is
<v Speaker 4>not sad or short on words here at all. She
<v Speaker 4>wants to reply. So I can't wait to see what
<v Speaker 4>she says, if she says anything at all, or just apologizes.
<v Speaker 3>Oh, gosh.
<v Speaker 2>Josh, we need to be on this. So please keep
<v Speaker 2>up with it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, I got my eyes peeled. Don't worry.
<v Speaker 2>Josh, I was going through my DMs because my social media,
<v Speaker 2>my Instagram specifically, I has still been blowing up from
<v Speaker 2>that Bruno Mars video that went viral a couple weeks ago.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, that'll never stop. Yeah, that'll never stop.
<v Speaker 5>No, it literally is constant. I'm like, do I have regrets?
<v Speaker 2>Kind of.
<v Speaker 1>Please stop.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, no, seriously.
<v Speaker 1>Can you turn your notifications off? I'm wondering.
<v Speaker 2>Well, my notifications, I'm not, like my phone's not blowing up.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, okay. Oh, thank God.
<v Speaker 2>I do turn those off, but every time. Your battery
<v Speaker 2>would be like. Yeah, exactly. Every time I go on Instagram,
<v Speaker 2>it is just constantly Bruno Mars stuff. And I have
<v Speaker 2>all sorts of like weird DMs too.
<v Speaker 1>You know, one time I got like 600 likes on
<v Speaker 1>a video. Just letting you know.
<v Speaker 2>That's impressive.
<v Speaker 4>You with your 8.9 million likes and views and everything.
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, I got 600 one time.
<v Speaker 2>Listen, it wasn't because of me. It was because of
<v Speaker 2>someone else's goodies.
<v Speaker 1>You know what they say, sex sells.
<v Speaker 2>That's true. Very true.
<v Speaker 5>And it does on Instagram as well. But I was
<v Speaker 5>going through my notifications.
<v Speaker 2>I'm going through my DMs and, you know, just deleting
<v Speaker 2>all the spam that's in there. But then I came
<v Speaker 2>across an actual DM of a guy named James. And
<v Speaker 2>he heard our What's the Drama last week.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, love it.
<v Speaker 2>And he was like, okay, if this is something that
<v Speaker 2>you guys are going to be doing, I might need
<v Speaker 2>your help.
<v Speaker 1>Okay.
<v Speaker 2>And then I asked him to send me a voice note,
<v Speaker 2>and this is what he sent me.
<v Speaker 3>My best friend has turned into a monster.
<v Speaker 2>A monster.
<v Speaker 4>Uh-oh.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Okay.
<v Speaker 2>And it's a best friend situation, so that's a little concerning.
<v Speaker 1>Well, yeah. I mean, you don't want a best friend
<v Speaker 1>breakup or something, right?
<v Speaker 2>Listen, boyfriend, girlfriend, that's one thing. Especially when you're young,
<v Speaker 2>you're going to go through them. It is what it is.
<v Speaker 2>But your best friend, that's supposed to be for life.
<v Speaker 4>No, losing your bestie, I think, is always worse than
<v Speaker 4>any type of boyfriend-girlfriend relationship breakup.
<v Speaker 1>Like, genuinely.
<v Speaker 2>A hundred percent.
<v Speaker 3>Mm-hmm.
<v Speaker 2>Save the drama for your mama.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, my God! Oh, my God!
<v Speaker 6>Or for Denver's morning show, I guess.
<v Speaker 2>I love all the drama. What's the drama today?
<v Speaker 6>What's the drama today?
<v Speaker 8>Do it for the drama.
<v Speaker 2>Here's Nina and Josh. James in Westminster, dealing with some
<v Speaker 2>best friend problems and... Yeah, that can be a little
<v Speaker 2>bit tricky.
<v Speaker 5>So James, tell us what is going on.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, long story short, my best friend has gone through
<v Speaker 3>a lot over the years, and he's a different person
<v Speaker 3>than he used to be. He's so insensitive now, and
<v Speaker 3>I don't know if I want to be around him anymore.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I mean, OK, hold on.
<v Speaker 4>We all go through like, you know, ups and downs,
<v Speaker 4>different changes into adulthood or whatever. And you say like
<v Speaker 4>he can be, I don't know, insensitive or whatever. Is
<v Speaker 4>he just joking around or is this like crude kind
<v Speaker 4>of rude humor?
<v Speaker 3>I mean, yeah, it started that way. A little bit
<v Speaker 3>like crude humor. He would say something outlandish. He'd give
<v Speaker 3>him a side eye, but he just doesn't care. It's
<v Speaker 3>gotten worse. Halloween is coming up and he wants to
<v Speaker 3>do a group costume, but I'm not comfortable going out
<v Speaker 3>in public like this.
<v Speaker 4>Oh, God.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, okay, okay. I need to know. I'm actually afraid
<v Speaker 2>to ask, but I do need.
<v Speaker 5>To know what is the group costume that he wants
<v Speaker 5>to be?
<v Speaker 3>So he came up with the tiger that just ate
<v Speaker 3>a dude last week and the corpse.
<v Speaker 6>Yo!
<v Speaker 4>The corpse?
<v Speaker 3>Oh, my gosh. And that's the nicest of his ideas lately.
<v Speaker 1>The nicest?
<v Speaker 2>What else does he have?
<v Speaker 3>So he's also proposing Gypsy Rose and her mom because
<v Speaker 3>they saw it on the internet.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, jeez.
<v Speaker 3>He wanted to do Kanye and Soulja Boy because he
<v Speaker 3>wanted to run for president. It's too much for me.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that sounds like a lot. This is a lot already.
<v Speaker 2>Everything you've thrown out right now, this is almost too much.
<v Speaker 2>I kind of get it. But if this is your
<v Speaker 2>best friend, how long have you guys known each other?
<v Speaker 2>Is this something that you can talk to him about?
<v Speaker 3>Maybe. We've known each other since elementary school. Like I said,
<v Speaker 3>he's gone through some hard times where life is just
<v Speaker 3>not fair to him. And it's made him into this mean,
<v Speaker 3>bitter person that I don't enjoy being around anymore. But
<v Speaker 3>he's my brother. I have love for him and I
<v Speaker 3>can't just drop him, but I can't do this Halloween stuff.
<v Speaker 1>Jeez, dude. I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>That sounds like a pretty tough situation. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe you could make like an excuse to not spend
<v Speaker 1>Halloween with him.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you're an adult. You don't have to do stuff.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I told him I was thinking of going to
<v Speaker 3>Chicago for Halloween, and I can't really avoid the trip,
<v Speaker 3>but I might do it anyway to avoid that conversation. Oh!
<v Speaker 1>Jeez!
<v Speaker 2>I mean, you've got to be able to talk to
<v Speaker 2>your friend, though. If this is your best friend you
<v Speaker 2>have known for years and years and years, you have
<v Speaker 2>to be able to have these tough conversations sometimes. And listen,
<v Speaker 2>if you're not able to, maybe it is time to
<v Speaker 2>break ties.
<v Speaker 4>Oh!
<v Speaker 1>That's bad. That's a bad situation to be in, Nina.
<v Speaker 2>It really is. And James, I do feel for you
<v Speaker 2>because those ideas that he came up with are insane.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>But it sounds like you need some help. Do you
<v Speaker 2>break ties with your best friend who's kind of switched
<v Speaker 2>up their personality on you? Or do you just bite
<v Speaker 2>the bullet and you talk to your friend?
<v Speaker 4>I mean, look, I love James. And I think what
<v Speaker 4>he said is very poignant. That being said, with all
<v Speaker 4>the Halloween costumes, there have been decades of, What?
<v Speaker 1>I'm a mouse. Duh. That type of thing. The more
<v Speaker 1>risque people that dress up. Right. I'm kind of digging.
<v Speaker 4>I'm kind of digging the scary ones.
<v Speaker 1>I kind of like it. I know, James. I'm sorry.
<v Speaker 1>I might be flipping on you.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I don't know. I think that this
<v Speaker 2>is just more an issue between the friendship, James and
<v Speaker 2>his friend.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're right.
<v Speaker 2>I think we just need to have a conversation with
<v Speaker 2>him almost.
<v Speaker 1>Or just dump him.
<v Speaker 2>Or just dump him.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. Look, we got a lot of texting calls.
<v Speaker 1>I think we should get to the calls right away.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, let's get to some calls. Justin, good morning. How
<v Speaker 2>are we feeling today?
<v Speaker 8>Good morning. Feeling pretty good. How about y'all?
<v Speaker 2>We're good, but we're trying to help James out here.
<v Speaker 2>What does he do right now with this whole situation
<v Speaker 2>with his friend? Does he try to talk to him
<v Speaker 2>about the costumes, or does he just drop him as
<v Speaker 2>a friend, or does he go along with the Halloween costumes?
<v Speaker 2>What would you do in this situation?
<v Speaker 8>If he's not feeling comfortable, he should absolutely talk to
<v Speaker 8>his friend. I mean, he said that they've been friends
<v Speaker 8>since elementary school. And with a friendship like that, you
<v Speaker 8>should be able to talk to that person and be
<v Speaker 8>able to compromise with each other. But if you can't
<v Speaker 8>and things are actually getting that bad, then I would
<v Speaker 8>have to say dump them. But I don't think it's
<v Speaker 8>that bad to where they can't talk it through. I mean,
<v Speaker 8>if they're best friends and brothers like you claim, they
<v Speaker 8>should be able to talk it through.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're right.
<v Speaker 4>I just don't like the idea of dumping, because you're right.
<v Speaker 4>Like you said, he has been friends with him for
<v Speaker 4>so long.
<v Speaker 2>He calls him his brother.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, to break up and have that friendship break up
<v Speaker 4>after so many years, I mean, that's over this.
<v Speaker 1>This is such a little thing in the grand scheme, right?
<v Speaker 6>Exactly.
<v Speaker 8>It's so little. I don't think it's worth ruining a
<v Speaker 8>friendship of... of that.
<v Speaker 2>A lifetime friendship.
<v Speaker 8>Or something like this.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. No, you're right, Justin. All right, man, we got
<v Speaker 1>your vote. You are saying try not to break up.
<v Speaker 1>We appreciate you calling in, man. Thank you.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you. Yep.
<v Speaker 6>Good day, guys.
<v Speaker 1>You too, man. Thanks for calling in.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you.
<v Speaker 1>Interesting.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I guess a conversation is definitely needed. But it
<v Speaker 2>kind of sounds to me like James has maybe talked
<v Speaker 2>to him before because he knows that he's going through stuff.
<v Speaker 1>About other things. Yes. Yeah. Exactly.
<v Speaker 3>All right.
<v Speaker 1>So, so far we have try to talk it out.
<v Speaker 1>I like that. One for try to talk it out. Okay.
<v Speaker 2>Let's talk to Alicia. Good morning, Alicia. How are we
<v Speaker 2>feeling today?
<v Speaker 7>I'm good. It's rainy.
<v Speaker 6>It's Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I love it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, the cold, rainy weather. Oh, it's my best friend.
<v Speaker 1>I love it so much.
<v Speaker 8>I'm ready.
<v Speaker 7>I'm ready for the snow. I'm with Josh on that.
<v Speaker 1>I already like you, Alicia.
<v Speaker 3>All right. Awesome.
<v Speaker 7>Okay.
<v Speaker 4>So how are you feeling on this whole thing? We
<v Speaker 4>know James is really upset by this. Do you think
<v Speaker 4>they can talk it out? What are your thoughts?
<v Speaker 7>I totally think they could talk it out. Like, I mean,
<v Speaker 7>I texted in for like, I've known my best friend
<v Speaker 7>since we were four or five like okay and we've
<v Speaker 7>had her ups and downs yeah we've had her ups
<v Speaker 7>and downs and I mean they're girls family and she
<v Speaker 7>would do the same thing for me like if I
<v Speaker 7>was going through it and she's really been going through
<v Speaker 7>it the last couple months so if she was like
<v Speaker 7>oh I want to dress as x and y or
<v Speaker 7>whatever I gypsy rose and her mom like yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Are you so you're saying go along with it then
<v Speaker 4>because she's been kind of going through it are you
<v Speaker 4>you're gonna you're gonna accompany her with this Oh, I.
<v Speaker 7>Would totally do it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, my God.
<v Speaker 4>I love that, first of all. But even if you
<v Speaker 4>hate the costume idea, you're going to go along?
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, I would do it for her.
<v Speaker 1>Alicia.
<v Speaker 7>She would do it for me.
<v Speaker 2>Yep. You're a ride or die. A ride or die
<v Speaker 2>bestie right here. We love that.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, I would do it in a heartbeat.
<v Speaker 1>I want to be your bestie. What the heck? You
<v Speaker 1>sound like such a good friend.
<v Speaker 2>No.
<v Speaker 7>She, like, I thrive off, like, dark humor when I'm in, like,
<v Speaker 7>really bad states. And she does too. So I feel
<v Speaker 7>like it's just like one of those things where it's like,
<v Speaker 7>that's going to make me feel so much better. Even
<v Speaker 7>if I like, if it sounds horrible to other people,
<v Speaker 7>it's going to make me feel better. And I'm going
<v Speaker 7>to come out just happier than ever.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my gosh, Alicia, you're hilarious. So you're that person.
<v Speaker 2>You're not only the ride or die, but like you,
<v Speaker 2>you thrive off that dark humor. So you're down for it.
<v Speaker 2>Would you have a conversation though with your friend of like, Hey,
<v Speaker 2>Your personality's changed a little bit. I know, like, we'll
<v Speaker 2>have fun this Halloween, but can I help you in
<v Speaker 2>other ways?
<v Speaker 1>Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 7>We're brutally honest with each other. That's good.
<v Speaker 1>You need that.
<v Speaker 7>We'll wake up the next day and be like, girl,
<v Speaker 7>that was so wrong.
<v Speaker 1>Well, that's good. All right.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, so we have one for try to have the
<v Speaker 4>conversation now, one for go along with it.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 1>Alicia, thank you for your call.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, of course. You guys have a good day.
<v Speaker 1>Thanks, you as well.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, so we're tied. This last call is incredibly important.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, very interesting. I know. I mean, I'm glad Alicia's
<v Speaker 2>a ride or die, but I don't know. Part of
<v Speaker 2>me is just like, if this person has changed and
<v Speaker 2>they no longer fit in your life, maybe leave it
<v Speaker 2>at that.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe, but I kind of like the going along with it. Like,
<v Speaker 1>I kind of do.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, but that's your face in the photos,
<v Speaker 2>and you know people are going to be taking pictures
<v Speaker 2>of you in video.
<v Speaker 1>Wear a mask. Wear a mask. You're good.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, the tiebreaker phone call. Debbie, we're on the air
<v Speaker 2>right now. We're talking about James and this whole costume situation.
<v Speaker 2>What do you got to say about it? What would
<v Speaker 2>you do in this situation?
<v Speaker 6>Well, I'm having a really grumpy morning, so I'm like, done.
<v Speaker 6>I'm done with it.
<v Speaker 2>No, no.
<v Speaker 6>You don't understand. You don't understand. Okay, I'm going to
<v Speaker 6>change my name and pretend you didn't call me Debbie, okay?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, perfect.
<v Speaker 2>Sarah.
<v Speaker 1>No cursing, though. I'm just going to preface.
<v Speaker 2>No, no, no.
<v Speaker 1>No cursing.
<v Speaker 6>No cursing.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I know you're in a bad mood.
<v Speaker 6>I'm sorry. People I know, listen. I'm watching four dogs.
<v Speaker 7>Okay.
<v Speaker 6>I took them all outside to go to the bathroom.
<v Speaker 6>And I came in, went upstairs for 30 seconds, and
<v Speaker 6>they all just did all their business on the floor
<v Speaker 6>in the house. And I got in the car, and
<v Speaker 6>I heard your, you know, go with it. I'm like, no, uh-uh.
<v Speaker 6>I'm done with you.
<v Speaker 8>You're out of here.
<v Speaker 2>We're done with the dogs.
<v Speaker 5>We're done with his friend.
<v Speaker 2>We're done with these costumes.
<v Speaker 6>We're done with everything today.
<v Speaker 2>We're done with everybody.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 6>But in general, I'm a happy person, but I'm done
<v Speaker 6>with that.
<v Speaker 5>Today's just not your day, Debbie, and that's okay.
<v Speaker 1>I feel Sarah.
<v Speaker 3>Sarah.
<v Speaker 1>I feel so bad for you, Sarah. Fake name Sarah.
<v Speaker 3>There we go.
<v Speaker 6>Thank you, Sarah.
<v Speaker 1>I feel so bad.
<v Speaker 4>First of all, I am so sorry about that, but
<v Speaker 4>I also love how, like, you are just not giving
<v Speaker 4>anything today.
<v Speaker 1>You're, like, absolutely effing... that like.
<v Speaker 2>No drop him as a friend we're done here we
<v Speaker 2>just don't need this in our life today.
<v Speaker 6>No longer a people pleaser we're done okay.
<v Speaker 4>There we have it you know what Sarah thank you
<v Speaker 4>for the call thank you.
<v Speaker 2>Sarah Mike incredible she's like just be done with it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah you know what okay so hey you know what
<v Speaker 1>james be done with.
<v Speaker 2>It i guess i mean we got a few other
<v Speaker 2>texts in on the text line and someone says do
<v Speaker 2>what works for you if this person no longer serves
<v Speaker 2>you be done with.
<v Speaker 4>It i like that i'm kind of like the no
<v Speaker 4>craps given attitude right.
<v Speaker 2>Now right and sometimes as an adult that's what you
<v Speaker 2>got to do things change your personality changes lifestyle changes
<v Speaker 2>And you have to drop friends. I've dropped family members,
<v Speaker 2>all right, for way less than this.
<v Speaker 1>No shame.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, that's me, though, you know.
<v Speaker 1>I guess we drop them.
<v Speaker 5>I think that's the.
<v Speaker 2>General consensus, James, is that you kind of drop them
<v Speaker 2>as a friend.
<v Speaker 4>James, also let us know real quick, man, whenever this happens,
<v Speaker 4>and follow up.
<v Speaker 1>With us, okay?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, please. I'm so interested to hear about the rest
<v Speaker 2>of it. Three things you need to know before you
<v Speaker 2>go into the office today. Like Colorado ski resorts, they
<v Speaker 2>are getting a little crafty after a bad snow year
<v Speaker 2>last year. A lot of the time people just couldn't
<v Speaker 2>even really enjoy themselves on the slopes. And so Steamboat
<v Speaker 2>Springs is building a half pipe out of dirt to
<v Speaker 2>later cover with snow for the skiers and boarders who
<v Speaker 2>want to use it. So this is actually kind of
<v Speaker 2>a good idea, and I'm surprised we didn't do this before. Well,
<v Speaker 2>we used to have so much snow before, so we didn't.
<v Speaker 1>Have to worry about it. Well, I'm not going to lie.
<v Speaker 1>I thought we always did that.
<v Speaker 4>Like, I thought we always had the built-in half pipe,
<v Speaker 4>and then snow just covered it.
<v Speaker 2>I guess not.
<v Speaker 1>They actually made that out of straight snow?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. So this is going to obviously use less snow,
<v Speaker 2>and it's also going to help Steamboat in particular that
<v Speaker 2>is doing this. It's going to help them open their
<v Speaker 2>park sooner. For skiers and boarders. So the pipe is also,
<v Speaker 2>because they're constructing it with this packed in dirt, they're
<v Speaker 2>going to make it steeper and longer than before to
<v Speaker 2>help competitors actually get to train on it and do
<v Speaker 2>their thing.
<v Speaker 1>That's cool.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I like that a lot. I love Steamboat.
<v Speaker 4>It's one of my favorite places in all of Colorado
<v Speaker 4>to go, whether it's the summer or the winter.
<v Speaker 1>And skiing Steamboat is one of the best things about it.
<v Speaker 2>It's so nice out there.
<v Speaker 6>Yes.
<v Speaker 2>What else do you got, Josh?
<v Speaker 1>Oh, sorry. That was the end of the story. I
<v Speaker 1>know how to listen. There we go. Okay. You know
<v Speaker 1>why I'm preoccupied right now, Nina?
<v Speaker 4>Because a woman has literally transformed her home into the
<v Speaker 4>biggest nightmare of my entire life.
<v Speaker 1>What?
<v Speaker 4>So, Claudia, a Chicago-based woman, has now changed her entire
<v Speaker 4>house into a monarch butterfly sanctuary.
<v Speaker 1>Oh.
<v Speaker 4>If you have listened to this show at all, you
<v Speaker 4>know that is a massive fear of mine because it
<v Speaker 4>comes from the Butterfly Sanctuary. Nothing against them. They're beautiful creatures.
<v Speaker 4>I love what they do. They're awesome. I just like
<v Speaker 4>to see them from a mile away.
<v Speaker 1>That's it.
<v Speaker 2>You are terrified of butterflies, moths, anything flapping around with wings.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, and there's so many reasons as to why. But anyway,
<v Speaker 4>she has taken her neighborhood home into a monarch butterfly sanctuary,
<v Speaker 4>planting native milkweed and wildflowers to support a species during
<v Speaker 4>its nearly 3,000 migration trip to Mexico. Now, I understand
<v Speaker 4>they have to fly so far. They migrate because the
<v Speaker 4>cold weather here, supposed cold weather in the United States.
<v Speaker 1>It's a beautiful thing that she's doing. Really, it honestly is. However...
<v Speaker 1>I cannot imagine doing this.
<v Speaker 4>Thousands of monarch butterflies will come and stay at her
<v Speaker 4>house to feed and rest for a little bit before
<v Speaker 4>making their trip down to Mexico.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, that's so sweet, actually.
<v Speaker 1>It's beautiful.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, genuinely, it really is. She is a co-founder
<v Speaker 4>of Women for Green Spaces, which is a partnership with
<v Speaker 4>Chicago schools that just helped. Native plants and animals thrive, essentially,
<v Speaker 4>in the Chicago area. It is amazing. What she's doing
<v Speaker 4>is the Lord's work, okay? I'm not saying anything bad
<v Speaker 4>about her.
<v Speaker 5>You just hate everything about it.
<v Speaker 4>It's just my literal house of horrors, and I will
<v Speaker 4>never go there, Claudia. I'm so sorry, but what you're
<v Speaker 4>doing is awesome, and we applaud you.
<v Speaker 5>No trips to Chicago for Josh.
<v Speaker 1>Good Lord. Absolutely not.
<v Speaker 2>So you have probably seen this story, this video. It
<v Speaker 2>is horrifying. A man fell out of his seat on
<v Speaker 2>a roller coaster in Georgia just a couple of days ago.
<v Speaker 2>He did pass away. And he has been identified now
<v Speaker 2>as 42-year-old Hassan Kareem of Atlanta, Georgia. And since this accident,
<v Speaker 2>it was at a Six Flags. Six Flags has shut
<v Speaker 2>down several rides across the U.S. I even found out
<v Speaker 2>that SeaWorld shut down a ride who was made by
<v Speaker 2>the same company, that roller coaster, that uses the same
<v Speaker 2>seat design. And it seems there's still an investigation going on,
<v Speaker 2>but it seems that the seat design works. was the problem,
<v Speaker 2>that his seat wasn't locked in for whatever reason. It
<v Speaker 2>came undone, and that's how he fell out during this ride.
<v Speaker 1>I hate this.
<v Speaker 8>I know.
<v Speaker 2>It is just terrible. This story is just so frightening.
<v Speaker 2>This is your worst nightmare. Anytime you go on a
<v Speaker 2>roller coaster.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, Nina, why do you go to Six Flags, Elitches?
<v Speaker 1>Why do you go anywhere? You have fun. We're having fun.
<v Speaker 4>With your family most of the time. You're going with
<v Speaker 4>people you love and care about to have a good time,
<v Speaker 4>have a few laughs.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>And this tragic event happens?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>So out of major precaution for everyone's safety, any ride
<v Speaker 2>that has been manufactured by this company with that seat design,
<v Speaker 2>they're done right now.
<v Speaker 1>Honestly, probably a smart decision.
<v Speaker 2>Absolutely it is. And the man who had passed away,
<v Speaker 2>who fell out of his seat, Hassan, he lived an
<v Speaker 2>amazing life because they finally identified him. So he survived
<v Speaker 2>and beat cancer twice in his life. On top of that...
<v Speaker 2>He actually just survived. It was three weeks ago. He
<v Speaker 2>survived this fiery car crash with his daughter. Literally, the
<v Speaker 2>car was engulfed in flames. It was the most insane
<v Speaker 2>scene ever. And that was just a couple weeks ago.
<v Speaker 2>And I hate to say it, Josh, but just hearing
<v Speaker 2>his history, and I'm not trying to be disrespectful or
<v Speaker 2>gruesome here, this sounds like a Final Destination script.
<v Speaker 1>Everything that you just said, absolutely.
<v Speaker 2>It really does.
<v Speaker 1>That's horrific. I mean, it really is.
<v Speaker 2>It's crazy.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, and also, like... To survive all of that.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>To go the way he did.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>It's just kind of how life is comical, you know?
<v Speaker 2>Life, yeah. You just never know what's coming at you.
<v Speaker 1>That is crazy. For sure. My goodness. What a sad.
<v Speaker 3>I know.
<v Speaker 1>That breaks my heart. It really does.
<v Speaker 2>It really does.
<v Speaker 1>For the family. I believe his family was there at
<v Speaker 1>the time at the park.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm sure they were.
<v Speaker 4>And that is a heartbreaking thing to see because I'm sure...
<v Speaker 4>What they saw was absolutely horrific.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, gosh, yeah. I couldn't imagine. So, yeah, like you said,
<v Speaker 2>our heart and well wishes go out to his entire family.
<v Speaker 2>And I'm just glad that those amusement parks, they've taken
<v Speaker 2>down the rides for now out of precaution.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, they're doing the right thing. You have to.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly, exactly. Josh, lately I have been driving my husband insane.
<v Speaker 7>You?
<v Speaker 2>How?
<v Speaker 8>What? Me? Never.
<v Speaker 7>How?
<v Speaker 2>Never. And I can tell he is just so annoyed
<v Speaker 2>by me. And he's mentioned some things about it, but
<v Speaker 2>it's more passive aggressive now at this point.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you reached a point, right?
<v Speaker 2>You reached a point.
<v Speaker 6>Exactly.
<v Speaker 1>Exactly.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm trying to be better, but I know exactly
<v Speaker 2>what it is that he is getting annoyed by. But
<v Speaker 2>it's because I will switch out shoes. I will wear
<v Speaker 2>a different pair of shoes every single day. And I
<v Speaker 2>have a terrible habit. of when I get home, I
<v Speaker 2>kick off my shoes right at the front door, and
<v Speaker 2>I just leave them here, there, everywhere.
<v Speaker 1>Somebody else's problem.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly. And it's usually my husband's problem, and he is
<v Speaker 2>so sick of it. He started just, like, taking my shoes,
<v Speaker 2>and he'll throw them. I have separate room for my
<v Speaker 2>whole closet.
<v Speaker 1>Good for you.
<v Speaker 5>I'm that girl.
<v Speaker 4>You are.
<v Speaker 2>So he, like, just... chucks them, like he just throws
<v Speaker 2>them in that room, and then they're all over the place,
<v Speaker 2>and then I get mad because I'm like, don't throw
<v Speaker 2>my shoes, some of these are expensive.
<v Speaker 1>He's like, don't leave them out. Yeah, exactly. In the
<v Speaker 1>first place.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly, so we're not necessarily fighting, but he's being real
<v Speaker 2>passive aggressive, and he's just throwing those shoes everywhere, so
<v Speaker 2>I'm trying to be better at that. But there are
<v Speaker 2>so many things in my life, Josh, that I've had
<v Speaker 2>to change for my husband because he's extremely type A,
<v Speaker 2>the organization with this man. And it's like, I'm lucky
<v Speaker 2>that he's not the opposite.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>A total slob.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 5>But there is a point where it's almost too much.
<v Speaker 4>Mm-hmm.
<v Speaker 2>And like from from showering, Josh, we have two separate
<v Speaker 2>we don't use the same shampoo, conditioner, body wash, any
<v Speaker 2>of that. We have two different shelves because heaven forbid
<v Speaker 2>I use his shampoo and the shampoo and conditioner radio
<v Speaker 2>ratio is off or I.
<v Speaker 5>Don't close the cap.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, that's annoying, though.
<v Speaker 2>Or I put the shampoo back not in the right place.
<v Speaker 1>There's a spot for it.
<v Speaker 2>Or it's backwards.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I'm on your husband's side in every single thing.
<v Speaker 1>Are you really?
<v Speaker 7>Stop!
<v Speaker 1>Everything you're saying right now, I'm like, well, that's wrong.
<v Speaker 2>That's crazy.
<v Speaker 4>I know your husband a little bit, and I hate
<v Speaker 4>to say it to you.
<v Speaker 1>I agree with him.
<v Speaker 2>No!
<v Speaker 4>I'm very type A, too, and it's funny. You know,
<v Speaker 4>you were just talking about it. You get into a
<v Speaker 4>relationship for a certain amount of time. And the cute
<v Speaker 4>little things that were like, oh, she's cute, she doesn't
<v Speaker 4>put her shoes away at the beginning, are now like,
<v Speaker 4>I'm going to rip my hair out because you leave
<v Speaker 4>your shoes everywhere.
<v Speaker 1>And it's the same thing. My girlfriend is just.
<v Speaker 4>So relaxed when it comes to the timing of things. Nina,
<v Speaker 4>whereas for me, I am like, I need to be
<v Speaker 4>on time. And to be on time for me.
<v Speaker 1>Is early, right?
<v Speaker 2>It's a big deal for you.
<v Speaker 1>Massive deal. I'm just like that.
<v Speaker 4>I think it shows that your time is more valuable
<v Speaker 4>than someone else's when you're late to things.
<v Speaker 2>I've heard that before and I think that's cute, but sometimes.
<v Speaker 1>And I get it. I get it. Sometimes there's no
<v Speaker 1>excuse and you just have to be late to something.
<v Speaker 1>I understand that.
<v Speaker 4>Well, anyway, so You know, Princess Pilot flying around and
<v Speaker 4>she had an overnight here in Denver. She's like, hey,
<v Speaker 4>you know what, I'm gonna be back. Would you wanna
<v Speaker 4>see each other and hang out? I'm like, yeah, of course, absolutely.
<v Speaker 4>That being said, she told me a completely different time
<v Speaker 4>that she was supposed to land, right? I'm sitting here, like,
<v Speaker 4>ready for that. I make other plans to go because
<v Speaker 4>I had a dinner plan, okay, with my family.
<v Speaker 2>In the meantime, yeah.
<v Speaker 4>In the meantime, and I'm, like, in the middle of
<v Speaker 4>eating my soup last night because it was rainy and cloudy,
<v Speaker 4>in the middle of eating dinner, and I get a text,
<v Speaker 4>I'm here.
<v Speaker 2>She got there early.
<v Speaker 4>I landed early. Aren't you so proud of me? And
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, No, not at all. Honestly, I'm kind of
<v Speaker 4>annoyed right now because I was.
<v Speaker 1>Going to go pick her up.
<v Speaker 5>You had like a mouthful of soup and she's like, okay,
<v Speaker 5>pick me up now.
<v Speaker 1>I'm literally like, what are you talking about? Like we
<v Speaker 1>had plans.
<v Speaker 4>I thought I had like an hour and a half
<v Speaker 4>left before I could actually go pick her up. That
<v Speaker 4>being said, I ditched the dinner early because I'm a
<v Speaker 4>fantastic boyfriend.
<v Speaker 1>Look at you. I'm so kind.
<v Speaker 4>I scarfed down my soup, basically drank it, burned my mouth,
<v Speaker 4>called it good, went and picked her up.
<v Speaker 1>We honestly, it was fine. We had a great night.
<v Speaker 1>It was fantastic.
<v Speaker 4>But that being said, I'm like, The cute little things
<v Speaker 4>of you not telling me when you're gonna be here.
<v Speaker 5>She didn't communicate with you.
<v Speaker 1>Not at all. And that's starting to get a little
<v Speaker 1>bit less cute. We'll just say, I'm not gonna say annoying.
<v Speaker 2>It's a pet peeve.
<v Speaker 1>Just less cute.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, less cute.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm like, it's gotta be so relatable because I'm
<v Speaker 4>sure there's a thousand other things that people... who are
<v Speaker 4>couples for a long time, are like, oh, it was
<v Speaker 4>so cute when we started dating, and now it sucks.
<v Speaker 4>And I want to hear those. So 303-691-1649, text us,
<v Speaker 4>call us, whatever. Let us know the little things that
<v Speaker 4>used to be cute that are now just completely annoying
<v Speaker 4>from your partner.
<v Speaker 1>Because you have said them, I've said them. There's a billion, right?
<v Speaker 2>There are. We already got one of those text messages in.
<v Speaker 2>My pet peeve with my husband is that he insists
<v Speaker 2>on centering the kitchen sink faucet with the two basins.
<v Speaker 2>And I walk by and slap it over just to
<v Speaker 2>get the look.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, that's funny. I always want mine on the right side.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Because that's where I do most of my dishes.
<v Speaker 2>Right, but that makes sense. I think I agree with
<v Speaker 2>Rose having this pet peeve with her husband because if
<v Speaker 2>you turn the water on and it's in the middle,
<v Speaker 2>the water's just going to go everywhere.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, actually, Rose, I hate your husband. I'm sorry. That
<v Speaker 1>makes no sense. Why would you do that? No.
<v Speaker 2>We are wrapping things up here in the studio, but...
<v Speaker 2>We absolutely must admit our wrongs before we leave.
<v Speaker 1>Always.
<v Speaker 4>It's the most humbling part of the show, but we
<v Speaker 4>enjoy it, and you seem to enjoy it, too, because
<v Speaker 4>you love correcting us. So this is the one that
<v Speaker 4>I got wrong today, and I've just flip-flopped so many
<v Speaker 4>times on it, but it's the.
<v Speaker 1>Whole Kelly Clarkson story. We talked about it.
<v Speaker 4>Earlier, and just how it's a total he said, she said,
<v Speaker 4>or she said, the store said thing.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>And I just don't understand, after watching the video... how
<v Speaker 4>people can put the blame on the store now. And
<v Speaker 4>I was wrong because initially I was like, hey, I want,
<v Speaker 4>you know, Kelly Clarkson is a saint. We love her,
<v Speaker 4>her TV show hosting skills, her singing ability. Like she
<v Speaker 4>is an amazing woman.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>That being said, I think now it's kind of showing
<v Speaker 1>that she is a little bit of a Karen sometimes.
<v Speaker 2>She had her Karen moment.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not saying this is her all the time, but
<v Speaker 1>I think she had a moment. You're right.
<v Speaker 4>What you just said, And I was wrong, because initially
<v Speaker 4>I was on her side. I have completely flip-flopped for
<v Speaker 4>now until the next thing comes out. For now, I
<v Speaker 4>am on the store's side. And I think after seeing
<v Speaker 4>the video footage, she just kind of flipped and it
<v Speaker 4>was all on her. Then directly putting the store on
<v Speaker 4>blast right after she walks out of there.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, she was in that store for less than
<v Speaker 2>five minutes.
<v Speaker 3>I know.
<v Speaker 2>And then to put a message out to all of
<v Speaker 2>her millions of followers.
<v Speaker 4>Millions.
<v Speaker 2>That is pretty crazy.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, so it is a little bit of a Karen moment,
<v Speaker 4>and I was wrong on that, but we'll see what
<v Speaker 4>happens tomorrow.
<v Speaker 1>I might completely flip-flop and change. I'm not sure.
<v Speaker 5>I know, it's different every day.
<v Speaker 1>I'm waiting for her response, right? It seems like it's
<v Speaker 1>what's been happening.
<v Speaker 2>It has been, and she's been very vocal with all
<v Speaker 2>of this, so I'm sure we will get a response
<v Speaker 2>from her today.
<v Speaker 1>Or an apology letter.
<v Speaker 7>Ooh!
<v Speaker 1>So we'll see. We'll keep you updated. Nina, what did
<v Speaker 1>you get wrong?
<v Speaker 2>I got wrong. We talked earlier about Steamboat Springs and
<v Speaker 2>how they're trying to get creative with They're creating a
<v Speaker 2>half pipe out of dirt. And then they're going to
<v Speaker 2>cover it with snow for skiers and snowboarders to go on.
<v Speaker 5>And you had said, like, I thought they already did that.
<v Speaker 5>And I was like, no, they don't.
<v Speaker 2>No, you were right. You were right. They already did
<v Speaker 2>do that with the dirt, but they're putting in a
<v Speaker 2>new one.
<v Speaker 1>I was going to say, that's so much snow, Nina. Yeah, no,
<v Speaker 1>it totally is.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, no, they just packed in all that snow. No,
<v Speaker 2>I was wrong.
<v Speaker 4>I love being right. This is the best Wednesday ever.
<v Speaker 4>I'm never, ever, ever right about anything. So to feel
<v Speaker 4>vindicated here, I was like, I guarantee you. I was like,
<v Speaker 4>I have basically lived in Steamboat for many years. Pretty
<v Speaker 4>sure they put dirt up there.
<v Speaker 2>You're like, I know there's dirt under there.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, they're making a new half pipe. It is
<v Speaker 2>going to be steeper and just bigger. It's going to
<v Speaker 2>be for more experienced boarders who are able to use it.
<v Speaker 2>And then, yes, they'll cover it with snow.
<v Speaker 1>I love today. I was right and.
<v Speaker 6>You were wrong.
<v Speaker 1>Whatever.
<v Speaker 2>Whatever, Josh.
<v Speaker 1>Look, it's so rare, okay? Just let me gloat for
<v Speaker 1>one time.
<v Speaker 5>You can have this the one time.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you, Jesus. And we're getting out of here.
<v Speaker 5>We'll talk to you tomorrow and later on today.
<v Speaker 2>Watch our socials. We're going to put up that video
<v Speaker 2>that we did our interview yesterday on Great Day Colorado.
<v Speaker 2>So that will be up on our socials. And I'm
<v Speaker 2>also going to be talking to Tom Papa. I'll have
<v Speaker 2>that interview up soon as well.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, keep an eye out. We got a lot going
<v Speaker 1>on on socials.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, make sure you're following Mix 100 at Mix100Denver. And
<v Speaker 2>Josh and I, we're out of here. So we'll talk
<v Speaker 2>to you tomorrow. Angela Cortez is coming in next. You
<v Speaker 2>have a great rest of your day.
<v Speaker 1>Goodbye.
<v Speaker 2>Bye.
