[SPEAKER_08]: Well, they're probably checking the speed on their podcast blur.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I suppose they are.
[SPEAKER_04]: What's the podcast?
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, you know, I wanted to ask you about that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oscar and I were talking before the show.
[SPEAKER_08]: Did you take time to update the software on your iPhone?
[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't take that time, boss.
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what software is.
[SPEAKER_04]: Cause except a nice overalls that I'm wearing and I've had for a long time, but they're a little scratchy.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now, if you, because if you don't update it, Oscar, give me your hand.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_08]: I feel better.
[SPEAKER_04]: Grim please come out of my mouth.
[SPEAKER_08]: Winging insects?
[SPEAKER_08]: You feel better asking.
[SPEAKER_08]: I do.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll tell you you're gonna sleep like a baby all week now.
[SPEAKER_04]: You won't need any of those drugs you take to get to sleep.
[SPEAKER_08]: Sleepy time.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, sir.
[SPEAKER_08]: You took all the unsleepy out of him?
[SPEAKER_04]: I took the unsleepy out.
[SPEAKER_04]: Can you get his sleep out of my eyes?
[SPEAKER_04]: He's leaving the sleep like a time in a little child.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now, if you don't update your iPhone.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh yeah, if you don't update your iPhone the phone could get a virus really.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you mean the new one Yeah, well, we better start the show so I can tell Mike to get his ass in here It's the Michael Nera Show.
[SPEAKER_07]: You can listen to the Michael Nera Show at WWW.
[SPEAKER_07]: Michael Marisho.com It's the Michael Nera Show
[SPEAKER_02]: Broke my roof in my score.
[SPEAKER_02]: My roof in you, broke.
[SPEAKER_02]: No, I didn't.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just assumed that it wasn't me.
[SPEAKER_12]: You're up to you, Rolf.
[SPEAKER_12]: No, I wasn't.
[SPEAKER_12]: You must be confusing me with somebody else.
[SPEAKER_12]: Huh?
[SPEAKER_12]: Huh?
[SPEAKER_12]: We could sit here all day in our group, but let's just agree.
[SPEAKER_12]: To disagree.
[SPEAKER_02]: What's your name?
[SPEAKER_02]: My name?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: My name is Jimmy Carter.
[SPEAKER_02]: Jimmy Carter.
[SPEAKER_02]: You and I. Teddy Roosevelt.
[SPEAKER_02]: Lo's for you.
[SPEAKER_12]: Franklin Dillon or Roosevelt.
[SPEAKER_12]: There's a, no relation there.
[SPEAKER_12]: Dude, wish good.
[SPEAKER_12]: They actually were related.
[SPEAKER_02]: Who wasted?
[SPEAKER_02]: Shut up!
[SPEAKER_02]: What is your name?
[SPEAKER_11]: Now, there was still plenty of other presidents to pick from.
[SPEAKER_11]: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Zachary Taylor.
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh-huh.
[SPEAKER_03]: Apple P. That's all because of you, Napa P. I should kick your ass right now.
[SPEAKER_12]: And then the nap will be.
[SPEAKER_12]: Not my name.
[SPEAKER_12]: I don't care what your name is.
[SPEAKER_12]: I'm gonna kick your ass.
[SPEAKER_12]: What about my ass?
[SPEAKER_12]: You kick his ass.
[SPEAKER_12]: You have to kick my ass.
[SPEAKER_12]: I kick all ass.
[SPEAKER_12]: Victor?
[SPEAKER_12]: Count to ten.
[SPEAKER_11]: Let me explain something about Victor.
[SPEAKER_11]: Victor was famous for always having a plan.
[SPEAKER_11]: I have a plan.
[SPEAKER_11]: I think we should kick Napper B's ass.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's the Michael Mera Show.
[SPEAKER_07]: Michael Mera, Rob Speedwack, Oscar Santana, and now, the best of old Mera.
[SPEAKER_09]: So we mentioned before, we are joined by Tony Perkins, great to have you here.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm happy to be here.
[SPEAKER_09]: For those of you listening to the show, this is all we do.
[SPEAKER_09]: Tony was up at the crack of dawn doing his television all morning, and then was nice enough in generous enough to come out here and sub for Oscar Santana, who is in New York, and I really don't know why.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's something to do with making Todd feel loved.
[SPEAKER_09]: I believe he explained, Oscar has a way of communicating when he's not on the radio, which is kind of a giant slur.
[SPEAKER_09]: And he called me last night.
[SPEAKER_08]: So you got that.
[SPEAKER_09]: I got, okay, I'm going up to the New York, what, what are you doing?
[SPEAKER_09]: So, Apple, I tuned companies up there, so I think.
[SPEAKER_09]: Is it something with the Apple Corporation?
[SPEAKER_09]: Is it something with the York City?
[SPEAKER_08]: It's a technology and the Apple company in some sort of confab or conference.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I know that he loves those convinced.
[SPEAKER_08]: Todd, his lover, and Todd's assistant girl, we're already up there.
[SPEAKER_08]: And Oscar said that he could have gone up and slept through the night for the conference.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, to do his other podcasts, though.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, instead to save money, he took the 315 AM train this morning.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_08]: And you know what?
[SPEAKER_08]: He had a floor to sleep on.
[SPEAKER_08]: He could've slept on Todd's floor as they say.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm on Todd's floor, but he actually went up at 315, Pony, do you know anything about what's going on with this?
[SPEAKER_00]: I have no clue.
[SPEAKER_08]: He didn't say anything to you?
[SPEAKER_08]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't say anything.
[SPEAKER_08]: It is Apple related.
[SPEAKER_08]: This I know and this computer company.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, because he loves computers this guy This is business for the show.
[SPEAKER_09]: He'll tell you its business.
[SPEAKER_09]: So he called me.
[SPEAKER_09]: I love I love smartphones because they're smart And they tell you when you talk exactly he called me at 10 thirty eight p.m
[SPEAKER_08]: Last night.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, he should have been in bed by then.
[SPEAKER_09]: 1038 PM.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was coming from the man-grade studios where he did his other podcast and he sounded like, you know, I guessed it on that show last week and they tend to have adult beverages.
[SPEAKER_09]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_09]: And he sounded like maybe he was having a couple of adult beverages.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I'm sure someone was driving.
[SPEAKER_09]: So we really don't know what he's doing.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, well, it's something to do with Apple and something tech related to New York in New York City.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's what I'm going to tell Oscar to do.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm going to tell Oscar to do this for them from this point forward.
[SPEAKER_09]: Everything Oscar, all the time he's ever taken off on this show.
[SPEAKER_09]: When he goes to China or he goes to New York City or he does that, he always says it's something that's going to benefit our show.
[SPEAKER_08]: He says that about his dinner every now and now.
[SPEAKER_08]: How has everything?
[SPEAKER_09]: How has the China trip done anything for us?
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, he was able to illegally Skype in and we could talk to him and China.
[SPEAKER_08]: But frankly, Chinese Oscar is no better to me than regular.
[SPEAKER_09]: The talking to him was kind of a good side of that.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, he hadn't even bring back any like brilliant new ideas.
[SPEAKER_06]: Because actually the last time I was here, that's when he was in China.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's because he was in China.
[SPEAKER_09]: You see, you are.
[SPEAKER_09]: You're that now you're the designated.
[SPEAKER_09]: You're the Joan River.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's the best thing about him going out of town then you know how benefits the show time comes by it's great That's a benefit and it's it's wonderful to but back to China Yes, didn't he say that he was gonna shop some sort of cheap merchandise over there that we could sell in an exorbitant problem Yeah, we were gonna and we never saw anything
[SPEAKER_09]: That was going to be made in a sweatshop in China like micro-marish oak combs Yeah, but he's going to get from the made for one penny each and we're going to sell him for two dollars and make a million dollars He said oh listen we can get like an eight gig from drive for a penny I want to point out something to you if he went to China on some business related thing right and what you got out of it was that he was able to Skype from China
[SPEAKER_06]: Let's go, I mean, let this will make any sense.
[SPEAKER_06]: All right, we're right.
[SPEAKER_06]: Because he didn't have to go to China.
[SPEAKER_06]: You didn't have to do the sky.
[SPEAKER_08]: What said is that you don't deal with Oscar, because every time you come here, Oscar is magically gone.
[SPEAKER_08]: And by the way, he does exist.
[SPEAKER_06]: I have seen him before.
[SPEAKER_08]: But if you could hear Oscar make the preliminary presentation about why China is going to be great for the show, you'd be all in, too.
[SPEAKER_08]: It takes nine months of reflection to say, you know what he totally just blew us out.
[SPEAKER_09]: They were such mooks when they went over to China.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, they were such total dummies when they were over there.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you remember after three days his big highlight is that McDonald's sold pineapple pies?
[SPEAKER_06]: But didn't he insult like some big corporate guy?
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, there was some ugly situation Yeah, he made a joke about the guy not being able to have additional children Yeah, that's something like face face saving deal over in China over here the problem
[SPEAKER_09]: That's why we never got the guns and didn't Todd work for the NSA at one point.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: And so they were and then they were skyping from the hotel room.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, they were like what very fluid red China.
[SPEAKER_09]: What could possibly go wrong when the door is kicked in and they're skyping from over.
[SPEAKER_09]: But they made it back and the one thing that they told me was they noticed the pollution over there was so a part of it.
[SPEAKER_09]: really, really difficult.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's just got a good report, a business report to come back.
[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, they have pineapple pies at McDonald's.
[SPEAKER_06]: And it's really dirty.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Here's a picture of me standing on the wall.
[SPEAKER_09]: I wouldn't need those pineapples.
[SPEAKER_08]: The cones didn't come through.
[SPEAKER_08]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, if the ones that we have, if the chicken nuggets we have in this country are made with the tissue and blood vessels.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, and tendons.
[SPEAKER_09]: Can you imagine what the pineapple pies made of in China?
[SPEAKER_09]: Mostly stems.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: You look like you'll try this Chinese pie.
[SPEAKER_09]: That doesn't taste like pineapple to me.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I think I got some tissue.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: So nasty.
[SPEAKER_09]: So Tony, we're here.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm going to ask you just very briefly, because at the request of many of my listeners, I don't dwell on this.
[SPEAKER_09]: But it is top of mind today.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll have a little bit of it in news you may not need.
[SPEAKER_09]: But the fact is you've been living this, this government shutdown every single day with your newscasts and watching this thing go on and on and on and on.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, and you also are pretty tapped into the DC area and people commuting, and I think people don't realize that we do this show for many, many listeners in the Washington DC area, and they've been really kind of racked by this.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_06]: They're not getting what they got one paycheck now some of them some of them are working because they've been declared You know like a central like CDC some workers right back because there's a salmonella outbreak and that kind of thing right But anyone who is working isn't getting paid now So imagine most people in the United States live paycheck to paycheck That's just the reality right we wish it wasn't the case right now
[SPEAKER_06]: Imagine not getting paid for a month or whatever it is and just being told, well, you just got to, you know, tough it out and hopefully we'll get this worked out If you were thinking a podcast or Mike have you ever seen it?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, speaking of our collections exactly it's really our collection department that they they got a big sign of that.
[SPEAKER_08]: It says whenever yeah when I We were gonna shake you down, but our shakers in China, exactly
[SPEAKER_09]: I want to talk to Oscar when it gets back about that.
[SPEAKER_09]: If he comes back.
[SPEAKER_09]: So have you ever seen anything even remotely like this in your entire career?
[SPEAKER_09]: No.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've been doing this.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've been in BC.
[SPEAKER_09]: You graduated from AU.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've been around this town for a very long time.
[SPEAKER_09]: I've never seen anything even...
[SPEAKER_06]: We've certainly gotten close before but this is this is absurd.
[SPEAKER_06]: It really is because it's it affects so many people and these guys They're not they're talking past each other.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, there's no ability to see the other guys side There's no willingness to compromise and you know, we were all of a certain age.
[SPEAKER_06]: I think back to the Reagan years absolutely a lot of people talk about that
[SPEAKER_06]: Right, Reagan, Reagan had his certain set of core values, and certainly he was conservative.
[SPEAKER_06]: Then you had Tip O'Neill run in the house, Democrat.
[SPEAKER_06]: They could not have been further apart when it came to politics.
[SPEAKER_06]: But they were able to sit together, break bread, have a beer or two, and work things out.
[SPEAKER_06]: These guys don't even, they can't see it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I also think that what is missing and as somebody who has supported this administration really was excited about it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I was excited with the reelection of the Rung of Mom, I was excited about that.
[SPEAKER_09]: At the same time as we throw the darts at the United States Congress and the Republicans in the Congress.
[SPEAKER_09]: And in my opinion, over on that side, you can talk about principle all you want.
[SPEAKER_09]: But I think it's just an amazing lack of balls on the moderates and the Republican party that are just over there going, we don't want
[SPEAKER_09]: the loud and angry people.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, that really is what it is.
[SPEAKER_09]: On the democratic side, I think we are in need of some sort of leadership where you've got larger than life and the style, stylistically Barack Obama will never change.
[SPEAKER_09]: He will never change from being a cerebral,
[SPEAKER_09]: guy and I think that doesn't work in this day and age you have to have he got elected he was certainly electively at the charisma to get elected what he doesn't have is the charisma to be hey I'm the president here I am you know there's no well you know one is imitation factor
[SPEAKER_08]: With Barack Obama, one of his greatest qualities is also one of his biggest detriments.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's such a good politician.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: And when you are a politician, it's hard to sometimes make a definitive black and white decision and just say, this is how we're going.
[SPEAKER_09]: I found myself watching and I got obsessed with it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I got obsessed almost like I do with elections when I watch them.
[SPEAKER_09]: I talked to people about that all the time.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm really a political junkie.
[SPEAKER_09]: And this is kind of political theater.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's very core it really is and it's I wish I didn't feel that way because I think I'm a lot of a lot of a lot of people Where you watch this theatrical stuff play out all day.
[SPEAKER_09]: I found myself wanting on either side I want people screaming and yelling.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, there's there's not enough of that.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, here's what I want I would like to see the electorate
[SPEAKER_06]: come together and say, you know what, we're done.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_06]: All of you.
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
[SPEAKER_06]: You're all getting voted out because here's the thing.
[SPEAKER_06]: We as a as a country keep voting.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, everyone complains complaints complaints and then what is it 60% of the incumbents, we elect it every ever again.
[SPEAKER_06]: If we if we want to hold them accountable, you know, really threaten them and here's the other thing I'd like to see us all do.
[SPEAKER_06]: If you or I say, you know what, I'm not paying my taxes because this is ridiculous.
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't believe you're wasting money anyway.
[SPEAKER_06]: You're not paying me.
[SPEAKER_06]: You're not providing services, but if everybody did it.
[SPEAKER_06]: If everybody said we are not even going to pay our taxes, then maybe you'd get their attention.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's it's tough because I think that we have become a society where
[SPEAKER_09]: We are conditioned through the media that we receive.
[SPEAKER_09]: We are conditioned to care about what we are told to care about.
[SPEAKER_09]: I really believe that.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, we certainly let the agenda be so far.
[SPEAKER_09]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, if it's on the magic box enough, you're going to actually, we talk it, you're in the business of television.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you see it every day, but it just seems we don't.
[SPEAKER_09]: We don't work hard to get our information.
[SPEAKER_09]: We don't really care.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean newspapers are pretty much dead.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's an online presence where people get their news, but by and large we have bites.
[SPEAKER_06]: We pass a very exact and more so now than ever.
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you're dealing with it.
[SPEAKER_09]: You talk about the electorate.
[SPEAKER_09]: You're talking about the electorate right now.
[SPEAKER_09]: How many in the electorate really electorate would actually know who their congressman is?
[SPEAKER_09]: 30 people we did a poll.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're really?
[SPEAKER_09]: 38 Americans.
[SPEAKER_09]: Wow, they're perfect.
[SPEAKER_09]: Nationwide.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_08]: I thought you should have rounded up.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's a good Nationwide.
[SPEAKER_09]: 38 Americans.
[SPEAKER_09]: No.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's Congressman.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll take a break.
[SPEAKER_09]: Come back with more.
[SPEAKER_09]: This is the Michael Mary Show with our very special guest Tony Perkins.
[SPEAKER_09]: Welcome back to the Michael Maris Show, brought you by Amazon.
[SPEAKER_09]: The Michael Maris Show's Amazon page.

[SPEAKER_09]: Is your Halloween costume all set?
[SPEAKER_09]: I was thinking about going to Amazon today, where I'm going to look for my little baby mini costume.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, you're going to do that?
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm excited about it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I've chosen my costume.

[SPEAKER_08]: It's a very inside joke But I have a but the guest enjoyed it really he's a coworker of Tony at Channel five.

[SPEAKER_09]: Wisdom Mart, I just, I don't know, I've never met the guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: The name screams, he's not an Irish guy, is he's not Irish?
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_09]: Wisdom Mart, Wisdom Mart, really?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Describe Wisdom.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's taller than me, much thinner than I.
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
[SPEAKER_08]: He is, uh... Is he black?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: And the prices are so low.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, it's scary.
[SPEAKER_09]: The only thing that you'll have to provide is the screams.
[SPEAKER_08]: You have your thing from yesterday.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I didn't hear.
[SPEAKER_09]: The only thing I'll cue you.

[SPEAKER_09]: Tucker.
[SPEAKER_09]: Tucker.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, get to get to get Tucker.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'll get Tucker to do it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, Tucker.
[SPEAKER_09]: Anyway, he's not.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's not short.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's not.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what I'm doing.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just doing a show.
[SPEAKER_09]: Get that little guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: So another government thing.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're going to get together.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're going to fix things.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're going to vote on it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I guess it's going to go through today.
[SPEAKER_09]: Tonight.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: So we're going to go guys.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're going to be so brave.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, you took 15 days and you totally killed the entire mood of a bustling city and get this they're going to fix it until February Yeah, that's right.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, and heroes very very.
[SPEAKER_09]: So we'll keep tabs on that.
[SPEAKER_09]: So that's it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I always can I can find our discussion of that to that amount of time because people got bored by I want to talk about baseball because tonight I'm having a reunion of crap the band.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes coming to my home
[SPEAKER_09]: To watch the baseball game tonight.
[SPEAKER_09]: I will have Randall my guitar player who is a Yankee fan right.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm having Mr. Diaz RJ will be coming over to I watch the game tonight and hopefully my pot add-old base player Paul I hope you will be coming over.
[SPEAKER_09]: Do you think there's a survivalist?
[SPEAKER_09]: I think lives up in the mountains.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is there any chance that tonight's viewing party will turn into a jam session?
[SPEAKER_08]: No
[SPEAKER_09]: Really?
[SPEAKER_06]: So you get together and know music?
[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, we like the Beatles getting together for tea.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_09]: And we just, you know, we see who can drink the most beer.
[SPEAKER_09]: I know who it is that we're.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think it's you.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I live here.
[SPEAKER_06]: I know all the former band members alive.
[SPEAKER_09]: Ginger Baker, who passed the lab?
[SPEAKER_08]: Didn't the bad break up when we hired Chris Yoko?
[SPEAKER_09]: We had a, the band reunited.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then it didn't last because that's how tired we knew it.
[SPEAKER_08]: We did like, well you changed the name.
[SPEAKER_08]: Michael Maran Wings.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'd say I changed it to NLP.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, that's right.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_09]: NLP.
[SPEAKER_09]: What was that?
[SPEAKER_09]: Nasty little people.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was an anger as a tribute to your weather, guys.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's not nasty.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's not that little.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know why.
[SPEAKER_09]: But no, he's not.
[SPEAKER_09]: It just always seems fun to say people on TV.
[SPEAKER_09]: So they're coming over to watch the game tonight and it'll be much fun.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I just have, this is a kind of a message to my wife.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: I've tired of watching the games by myself.
[SPEAKER_09]: And because she refuses to be in the room with me.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now the thing is, she hates to be in the room with me.
[SPEAKER_08]: She'll watch the game Tony, just not with him.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, so she's in another room, watch her.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that is not good.
[SPEAKER_06]: Or she...
[SPEAKER_09]: She doesn't really watch television.
[SPEAKER_09]: So she will sit in the room with me.
[SPEAKER_09]: And of course, I live by the magic box.
[SPEAKER_09]: I love my television.
[SPEAKER_09]: I can sit there, look at this.
[SPEAKER_09]: You don't get a body like this by not being willing to spend really 90% of your day in front of the door.
[SPEAKER_06]: You've committed to it.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but it's your hobby for doing that.
[SPEAKER_09]: I go all day with it.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I thank you.
[SPEAKER_06]: I thank you.
[SPEAKER_09]: Many people are not doing this anymore.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, people are out there like getting outside and fresh air.
[SPEAKER_09]: But it was that all.
[SPEAKER_09]: So Carlos said and watch something with me and she'll have her smartphone, which is her computer.
[SPEAKER_09]: Many people use their smartphones for everything.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's what she does.
[SPEAKER_09]: And she's playing.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think sometimes compulsive sometimes other games on her smartphone.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, she texted me last night.
[SPEAKER_09]: She did.
[SPEAKER_09]: She's just waiting.
[SPEAKER_08]: Just had help.
[SPEAKER_09]: she will sit there and i'm trying to watch a game or i'm watching home land or i'm watching something and all here in the background is right can you turn that down please why it's not as loud as your television can you please turn it down
[SPEAKER_09]: And then I said, please turn it down, I'm trying to watch, and then the redsax will do something bad, and I'll go, damn it!
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm going upstairs.
[SPEAKER_08]: And that's the saddles.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then, you know, on the baby, and it's just a, it's my life, welcome to it.
[SPEAKER_06]: I have to say, one of the, I'm, I'm married to a Marvelous woman.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, she actually watches the, uh, red skins games with me.
[SPEAKER_06]: My son watches.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's excellent.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: And nobody's like in their smartphones or anything like that?
[SPEAKER_06]: Um, my son is a little bit.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, yeah, he doesn't have a phone.
[SPEAKER_06]: He's on an iPod.
[SPEAKER_06]: He's got an iPod.
[SPEAKER_06]: He's got an iPod.
[SPEAKER_08]: And this is what my, this is what you hear all night, right?
[SPEAKER_08]: This is music from Compulsive.
[SPEAKER_06]: Carla, can you turn that down, please?
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm trying to, Carla.
[SPEAKER_03]: Carla, I'm trying to watch, I'm just going to watch the game.
[SPEAKER_09]: Look, are you going to watch the game with me?
[SPEAKER_09]: Or are you not going to watch the game with me?
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going upstairs.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: But my hometown team, the Boston and Red Sachs, they won a yesterday.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was a fun, as we mentioned before, or fun.
[SPEAKER_08]: Fun.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, you can enjoy it, do you?
[SPEAKER_09]: I love it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Do you really?
[SPEAKER_09]: I live it.
[SPEAKER_09]: But don't you get very tense?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I get tense, like, before the game.
[SPEAKER_09]: I've never seen it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I get good.
[SPEAKER_09]: I get a little ragged out for some reason.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't there's no reason we've won two championships in modern history 2004 and 2007.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's no real reason for me to get up tight.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's no reason for me to be bitchy and stuff But I I tend to get a little testing even with like a once every 10 year sports day that the people of Boston had with the walkoff home run the other day
[SPEAKER_09]: Right, so the guys are coming over just because I'm a little lonely and after they won Yesterday, I said, ah, let's bring the guys over.
[SPEAKER_09]: I really will care about the outcome But not to the extent that I have before if they tie the series.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm fine with that So I can really kind of relax and enjoy this game
[SPEAKER_09]: They can't do anything tonight.
[SPEAKER_09]: Nothing, in fact, it's a game that's just kind of going to, you know, the Detroit probably needs to win this game, right, and anybody.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I'm kind of laid back and I'm going to have the guys over and we'll hang out and Carla probably put out like a couple of pieces of salami and we'll drink beer to the tour clock at the morning.
[SPEAKER_08]: And she'll run and hide.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then she'll go away.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hi, boy.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's great to see you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Bye-bye.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm anxious out there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Nice to see all you.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going upstairs.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you think with the extra people here to dilute the situation, there's a chance she might want a socialize more?
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_09]: I have no idea.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not going to trouble myself with that.
[SPEAKER_09]: But as you mentioned, Tony and Rob, I have been difficult enough during this whole process where it's, uh, it's tough to be in a room with me when I'm watching the game.
[SPEAKER_09]: And now with the little baby that we have, uh, I am warned, uh, on a regular basis about my livel use of the effort.
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, can I, oh boy, can I tell you something?
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I think most people would be surprised to, or maybe they would not have enough.
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm a redskins fan, although they are trying my patients as they do every year.
[SPEAKER_09]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_09]: You mean the football team?
[SPEAKER_09]: The football team?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: In this studio, you don't use that term.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, redskins?
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, tell me.
[SPEAKER_03]: Tell me.
[SPEAKER_03]: Tell me.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm your.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's a new era.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's like those print journalists that are not using the word anymore.
[SPEAKER_06]: So that's why you got the logo with the red thing through it.
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's a slash.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've been here long enough when you're a big skin fan.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I watch the games and I get very into them and agitated and I'm very sad to say I'm not proud of this I also not the F word, but a bunch of other words, and they come out and my son is right there.
[SPEAKER_06]: Really.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's not good So that's BS you'll say that's a BS call.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, how old is your son now?
[SPEAKER_06]: 10.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, so luckily He hasn't said any of that, but here's the sad thing the other day I got all upset about something then later on they did something else and he jumped up
[SPEAKER_06]: What?
[SPEAKER_06]: That's ridiculous, and his mother's saying calm down and she's looking over at me like thanks a lot.
[SPEAKER_06]: Thanks a lot.
[SPEAKER_08]: How does he react when you come out with a bad word?
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, does he?
[SPEAKER_06]: He knows it's a bad word.
[SPEAKER_06]: Does he?
[SPEAKER_06]: He kind of chastises me.
[SPEAKER_06]: It's like I'm the child.
[SPEAKER_09]: And incidentally, I mean, I know that Tony's got this sterling reputation here in TV circles in Washington, D.C.
[SPEAKER_09]: But Tony just literally uses the MFR all the time.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, and not just that.
[SPEAKER_03]: RG-3, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, 3.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's different in my house, and if I ever get upset and let go with a bad word, my kids think it's funny.
[SPEAKER_08]: They laugh and laugh and laugh.
[SPEAKER_09]: But both of you guys, that's I think why you guys get along so well that I don't know.
[SPEAKER_09]: I just, we had a meeting the other day and it was a guy that was coming over here and we were looking at doing some refi work for the house and then he, we were asking him about it and I found myself gravitating into the F word constantly and, and Carla looked at me and she's probably, I know, I really, I wanted to impress the guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Look who's growing up.
[SPEAKER_09]: Seriously, at the meeting, Carlis says, and he's a fan of the show.
[SPEAKER_09]: Right, so because he's a fan of the show, he knows me.
[SPEAKER_09]: So that was okay, and I feel sometimes, and Carlis, like, halfway through the meeting goes, please with the effort.
[SPEAKER_09]: Please, is that the chat group over there?
[SPEAKER_09]: No, no, no, this is what is that NASA computer screen that's completely taking me out of the show?
[SPEAKER_09]: It's called a command prompt.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's a command.
[SPEAKER_09]: Does that mean something has gone terribly wrong?
[SPEAKER_09]: No, it means I'm making everything go terribly right.
[SPEAKER_09]: We get better every day.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's good.
[SPEAKER_09]: He gets better every day.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's getting great reviews on the show.
[SPEAKER_09]: Pretty amazing, isn't it?
[SPEAKER_09]: Just so I'll see you up, see you I don't want to hate him But still I don't want to be in space When you are the best Give home a mirror Ah, we're all about resolutions Making new years resolutions is what we do How about the resolution you should make Which is to get yourself a better night's sleep And do that by getting a sleep number bed You know if you listen to this program How much I adore, my sleep number bed

[SPEAKER_09]: That affects you, and that is the most important thing that they have put inside, we sleep number bets.

[SPEAKER_09]: My routine now is I'm usually up between 645 and 7 o'clock in the morning down here and my job is to my two main functions with my son are to put him to bed at night and get him up first thing in the morning.
[SPEAKER_09]: Perfect.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I that you know if
[SPEAKER_09]: Look, it's something where I know that there are direct physical changes from backing off the sauce a little bit.
[SPEAKER_09]: And one is, I talked about this to you guys behind the scenes, like this Achilles tendon that I had, that was just a tiny little area that can't give you a court of zone shop for it.
[SPEAKER_09]: And it was just horrible.
[SPEAKER_09]: And it literally went away when I quit drinking.
[SPEAKER_09]: It went away.
[SPEAKER_09]: The joint stuff went away.
[SPEAKER_09]: muscle stuff you're 54 you're going to have issues about that but like uh joints cartilage that kind of thing i really think i'm not a doctor but i think all i can say is what changed to make this thing just poof go away i would guess hydration was the was the juice i would guess hydration when you replace when you replace alcohol with anything other that is not alcohol alcohol actually does dehydrate you and when you are properly hydrated you're uh your point you're going to feel better you
[SPEAKER_09]: You're not going to give me my just back though, Oscar and now the back to be honest.
[SPEAKER_09]: It drives me nuts down here and you know, yesterday, we had a pretty good shop off the coast of Fort Myers.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I was out on the Gulf of Mexico yesterday and it was banging pretty good.
[SPEAKER_09]: You love just saying that, don't you?
[SPEAKER_08]: Even though it didn't have a story.
[SPEAKER_08]: If you just, well, yeah, you know, yesterday.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was out on the Gulf of Mexico and it's fantastic.
[SPEAKER_09]: The water was just, there was a pretty good shop on the Gulf of Mexico.
[SPEAKER_08]: Must be, say, hey, I was on the top.
[SPEAKER_10]: I was shooting Wicked Tuna and then I decided to come back in to land where, you know what, I had the best life in the world because I've got this beautiful one year old and it's gorgeous wife and, you know, I get to live this dream.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I'm never going to get my discs back because I was yesterday on a boat with these really good looking young men we were fishing on the Gulf of Mexico.
[SPEAKER_08]: They were topless.
[SPEAKER_08]: They were topless and it was really nice and the men you're talking about the men.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh my god, the six-pack crew.
[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you for reminding me about my wonderful life down here because, you know, really, about 52 minutes ago, yeah, I didn't feel lucky.
[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, let me tell you this, but if you are lucky because you get to go for it, we've gone fish, fish anywhere, I can fish anywhere.
[SPEAKER_10]: You can't, but would you ever really want to fish on the baton deck, be honest?
[SPEAKER_10]: Nope, no, but I've done it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I've actually done it before my family is to fish on the Potomac and we use the fish to make thermometers We get the mercury out of the fish.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah Beautiful thermometers primarily what you get when you fish in the Potomac at least where I fish I was can't fish can't fish So would you like my total take yesterday?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes
[SPEAKER_09]: Three I caught three.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, no, how the six pack crew do all of them under a pound.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god, honey Are you sure that wasn't the bait?
[SPEAKER_09]: I put it We used it later as a little bit of bait, but a couple a couple of them Let me see what were they called one I think was called a blue runner, which was which looked like a a bait fish Yeah, the other one I caught was I caught a mangrove snapper and
[SPEAKER_09]: And then here's another weird name for a fish.
[SPEAKER_09]: I caught a sheep's head and the thing about a sheep said is it has It appears to have human-like teeth Look at the picture of sheep's head and you'll see the fish.
[SPEAKER_08]: Are you like fishing in Jurassic Park?
[SPEAKER_08]: Where are you getting fish that have human teeth?
[SPEAKER_03]: Looks cool.
[SPEAKER_04]: I am fishing in one of the most fertile fishing grounds in the United States You are anyway.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's it's pretty pretty scary.
[SPEAKER_10]: I like the fish head And I look at the sheep's head.
[SPEAKER_10]: Look at it.
[SPEAKER_10]: Look at it.
[SPEAKER_10]: It looks like a Oh, that's cool.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah It was like that movie about the girl that had that problem Remember that Was it vagidentata was it called?
[SPEAKER_08]: That was a problem.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I mean, the case favorite movie wasn't it?
[SPEAKER_10]: You know, that guy's a cancer.
[SPEAKER_10]: I watched it this morning.
[SPEAKER_10]: There is a website.
[SPEAKER_10]: If you just type in sheep's headfish that just has hot chicks holding sheep's headfish.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: Let me tell you.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm not really into it, but I'm into it.
[SPEAKER_08]: The weird thing is you can't tell where the smell is coming from.
[SPEAKER_09]: Here's the thing.
[SPEAKER_09]: I went out with this dude that knows the water and all I look at is the knowledge gained.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: Now, if I have visitors coming down here, I think I'm not going to go so far as to say my be the charter captain, but I'd like to think that I'm a good one.
[SPEAKER_09]: of knowledge where I would be able to take people out and perhaps catch some things.
[SPEAKER_09]: I know I have the strategy.
[SPEAKER_08]: I hope that this is not what happens, but here's what I picture the first time you take a guess.
[SPEAKER_09]: You're not talking about something horrible.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you remember the scene in on Golden Pond?
[SPEAKER_08]: And we found a false love for the front of the boat.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's what I envision happening right now.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if it's you or
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm really into the sheep's head fish.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: Look at this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that is excellent.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_10]: There's probably a category in Florida that I don't know about.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, there's a definitely category there.
[SPEAKER_09]: So it's a they have human teeth, by the way.
[SPEAKER_09]: They have human teeth.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're not human teeth.
[SPEAKER_09]: You don't want to put your fingers there.
[SPEAKER_09]: You don't want to put your fingers there.
[SPEAKER_09]: You don't want to put your fingers there.
[SPEAKER_09]: You don't want to put your fingers there.
[SPEAKER_09]: their gills.
[SPEAKER_09]: The gills are like razors.
[SPEAKER_09]: So you don't want to do that.
[SPEAKER_09]: But it was a wonderful afternoon.
[SPEAKER_08]: Did anyone on your boat have a good catch?
[SPEAKER_09]: We didn't have Rob.
[SPEAKER_09]: I didn't have like 50 people.
[SPEAKER_09]: It wasn't a party boat.
[SPEAKER_09]: No, it was me and another guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was me and one other guy.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's that's you and a young, very strong man.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's those young.
[SPEAKER_09]: Is he your strong?
[SPEAKER_10]: Is he your shirt?
[SPEAKER_10]: Is he your shirt?
[SPEAKER_09]: who's my sure pay yesterday my friend rich that's it and so we're we're pals now sure I bet you are I will no long you have to pay him for his service really how how does it how do you trade it out do you do voices for him?
[SPEAKER_09]: He said the next time is the next time we go out, you know, I don't want it to be a Charlie.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I know you he was talking about he wants to get a boat at some point and he works it to you know, he works it this little High and dry cash or grass everyone everybody pays Mike and you know what's gonna end up being you're gonna have to pull a sheep set out of the out of the Gulf of Mexico And you're gonna say look I can make him some like Arnold Schwarzenegger
[SPEAKER_09]: All I know hold on all I know is late in the day.
[SPEAKER_09]: We are drifting through the past coming back in shore and We're casting our line out.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's time to go over there.
[SPEAKER_09]: He said look at that Click on it Hold those up.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's a family coming by the day's over.
[SPEAKER_08]: So it's time.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank God you had sunscreen
[SPEAKER_09]: I can't wait to hear your cheeks.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm so red here.
[SPEAKER_09]: But thank you both for bringing me joy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Rebeck joy in my life by boosting my balls.
[SPEAKER_09]: Not those cheeks.
[SPEAKER_10]: The other ones.
[SPEAKER_09]: I just tell you the last thing you saw.
[SPEAKER_09]: You saw the last thing you saw.
[SPEAKER_09]: Faster.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're drifting.
[SPEAKER_09]: Can you say me?
[SPEAKER_10]: You've got your own boy toy out.
[SPEAKER_10]: You do.
[SPEAKER_03]: You do.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just when you just turn into a boy toy excursion.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, right.
[SPEAKER_09]: Because it's just like the movie behind the candle.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've got no damn enough.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a lovely jeep shed.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a lovely jeep.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can you stand back a little bit?
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to get a picture of the jeep shed.
[SPEAKER_08]: We know how close he's going to be with this guy, Rich, when we do the live show.
[SPEAKER_08]: If he makes Rich drive him out, what's he taking?
[SPEAKER_09]: We have the same matching fishing shorts.
[SPEAKER_09]: You're fine in plastic surgery, and can't argue with a great bit, even if it's a gear expense.
[SPEAKER_09]: We have to go all the way.
[SPEAKER_09]: Late in the day, we're driven to the passes, and looking at that area over there, and he said, that's moving.
[SPEAKER_09]: Look at that huge dark area, and I swear to God, it was the size of a decent sized pitch in table.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was below the surface, and it was dark, and it was moving along.
[SPEAKER_09]: He said it was either a giant sea turtle, or it was a manatee, and we weren't sure what it was.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, how cool, though.
[SPEAKER_10]: And you can't hunt sea turtle, let's think they're in danger.
[SPEAKER_10]: No, you should.
[SPEAKER_10]: And when they're, they're like 200 years old.
[SPEAKER_08]: For the first time, Mike was not the oldest thing on the watch.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, the new year is upon us, and it's time to gather the family around the old, no, I'm in and talk about what's really important.
[SPEAKER_01]: You mean video games?
[SPEAKER_01]: Or fall out, boy.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, no, no.
[SPEAKER_08]: The real important stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to talk about the stupid fruit cakes again.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's died.
[SPEAKER_05]: Don't you know no one cares?
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I want to talk about the magic of the holidays.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now, did you get everything you wanted for Christmas?
[SPEAKER_05]: Kinda.
[SPEAKER_05]: Pretty much.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, what did we possibly miss?
[SPEAKER_05]: The 2015 TMOS bonus package.

[SPEAKER_07]: The first of all, Mera.
[SPEAKER_09]: We have a mother in our midst today.
[SPEAKER_09]: We have a honey voice mother and a very cool lady.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I think who's joined this before she is in studio.
[SPEAKER_09]: Mrs. Bloom is here right now.
[SPEAKER_09]: And Pony, say hi to your mom, introduce your mother properly.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is my mother, Glenda Bloom, and she has come in to DC today to visit with us.
[SPEAKER_00]: And actually, has had more probably more back problems than everyone in this room combined.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, really?
[SPEAKER_00]: Sitting here during this whole last segment, looking at each other like yep.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, that too.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's too bad.
[SPEAKER_10]: I didn't know.
[SPEAKER_09]: How are you doing, uh, blended with you?
[SPEAKER_09]: Tell, uh, what would be your numero uno recommendation for, uh, oh, scar, would it please?
[SPEAKER_09]: The anti-inflammatories would it be?
[SPEAKER_09]: The muscle relaxers, chiropractic, going to massage therapist going to a spinal surgeon.
[SPEAKER_09]: What do you think, uh, Mister, Mister Santana should do?
[SPEAKER_09]: Vike it in she said.
[SPEAKER_03]: Vike it in she likes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Vike it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that might be a red moor.
[SPEAKER_10]: That might be a red moor.
[SPEAKER_10]: That might be a red moor.
[SPEAKER_10]: That might be a red moor.
[SPEAKER_10]: That might be a red moor.
[SPEAKER_03]: That might be a red moor.
[SPEAKER_03]: What I think is Vike it in.
[SPEAKER_03]: That might be a red moor.
[SPEAKER_03]: What I think is Vike it in.
[SPEAKER_03]: I always said the math of like it is upon the second Give mama give mama like it Come on now Hello Matthew Matthew, are you Can you introduce me here?
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you have do you have time to visit the pharmacist when you're on your way to the beach cottage little Matthew
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, it is a pleasure.
[SPEAKER_09]: You do not talk like that.
[SPEAKER_09]: Artistic license and bike it in.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, who doesn't like I have I've spent many hours in this very home on that wonderful drug watching the world go by for years.
[SPEAKER_08]: We called him Vikomara.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, Vikomara.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's his nickname for a kind.
[SPEAKER_09]: It is always a pleasure and your son is doing a really really really really really okay job for us.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I hear it.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's doing great job.
[SPEAKER_09]: he's doing a great job.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, we love him.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, he said, don't tell him this, but he'd have to screw up, oh, one or two more times.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're very, very happy.
[SPEAKER_09]: So welcome to the studio.
[SPEAKER_09]: And how's everything with you, everything going well?
[SPEAKER_06]: Just fine.
[SPEAKER_09]: Lovely day.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's a lot to be here.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's good and we're happy to have you.
[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you, Oscar.
[SPEAKER_09]: Mom is helping her long.
[SPEAKER_10]: I think she's a little nervous.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's all right.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's okay to be a little nervous.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's it's different with me You know like up on that big video screen looking down at everybody there Let's get to the Kentucky Derby and Look we I will just tell you there are there are giveers and takers I've always talked about this in life and
[SPEAKER_09]: Kappy Fyfer is a giver.
[SPEAKER_09]: She's a Kappy Fyfer continues to give and Kappy Fyfer is just a wonderful, wonderful person.
[SPEAKER_09]: She's been very helpful with the show and we've told you about that for years and years.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's the Kappy Fyfer Studios because she got us off the ground and we are forever grateful.
[SPEAKER_09]: But Kappy did a little more for me.
[SPEAKER_09]: I get an email from Kappy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Probably on Friday.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think it was Friday afternoon.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's a Friday afternoon, I know because you know how I am about my email.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't, I don't look at it regularly.
[SPEAKER_09]: I look at it sporadically.
[SPEAKER_09]: But I get it in time and Kathy, who we all know, is a horse woman.
[SPEAKER_09]: She loves her horses out in California and she knows her horses.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, Kathy knows that this horse California Chrome is the front runner and all that.
[SPEAKER_09]: But you know, there's been plenty of, there has to be a front runner every year in the category.
[SPEAKER_09]: So, Cappy gives me this nice little email, kind of enumerating why this particular California horse is such a good horse, and she gets me all ramped up.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I said, you know, I've never had, yes, I know the horse is the clear favorite, by quite, you know, the odds were tremendously in California Chrome's favorite, but Cappy got me so super motivated that I said, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know,
[SPEAKER_09]: Got to lay one down on the Kentucky Derby and lo and behold.
[SPEAKER_09]: I have not been to a gambling Emporium at every any kind in quite a while and I'm like I need to find a place to lay down a bet for California Chrome Because it'll make it more fun to watch the race.
[SPEAKER_09]: Do they have O TB down there?
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if they have O T I think they might but of the closest thing to me Yes, the closest thing to me Did it first did a neighbor take your action my thing?
[SPEAKER_09]: No, no, didn't do it that way.
[SPEAKER_09]: Did it legal and the closest thing to me was.
[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody knows a guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Down in Naples, Florida, the local dog track.
[SPEAKER_09]: The local dog track.
[SPEAKER_09]: And so, thank you.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's a tribute to the walk.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're ready.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're ready.
[SPEAKER_10]: They're ready.
[SPEAKER_10]: What's that, Oscar?
[SPEAKER_10]: I probably a bunch of protesters as you walk in.
[SPEAKER_09]: We went in there and I wasn't in there for five minutes.
[SPEAKER_09]: I was in and out and went in there and put my Betdown on California chrome when you left where you wearing a barrel Came out naked completely naked
[SPEAKER_09]: No, I went.
[SPEAKER_09]: I still haven't cashed my ticket in.
[SPEAKER_09]: I went and put my betdown on California Chrome and Left and put a couple of smaller bets down, huh?
[SPEAKER_09]: $2 to win a little more than that.
[SPEAKER_09]: What were the odds?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, what was what?
[SPEAKER_08]: What do you go off at?
[SPEAKER_09]: I was at the end of the horse came out, I think it at post time it was two to one.
[SPEAKER_09]: So you know, a favorite, a clear favor.
[SPEAKER_09]: So and low and behold, a capy fight for motivated me to do it.
[SPEAKER_09]: We contained went back and forth with texts and emails.
[SPEAKER_09]: We talked to each other on Saturday and it was just a lot of fun.
[SPEAKER_09]: And now I can say, I have never ever in my life laid down a bet on the Kentucky Derby and, you know, it's like getting that you make it more interesting.
[SPEAKER_09]: Absolutely fun.
[SPEAKER_09]: And now I'm going to have to continue the string and you know, wouldn't that it just would be really incredible.
[SPEAKER_09]: If the first time I ever really got into a horse, it was a horse that ended up winning the triple crown.
[SPEAKER_09]: And this horse, you know, one so convincingly, there's nothing to tell me that who knows.
[SPEAKER_10]: We'll see what happens on a longer track and, you know, we talked about in those meetings.
[SPEAKER_10]: One win doesn't mean you're going to win all the time.
[SPEAKER_09]: No, it does not, especially in horse racing, but a streak begins with one winner.
[SPEAKER_09]: And it will be interesting to see how the odds makers take a look at this horse.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was an interesting derby, you know, look like a beautiful day.
[SPEAKER_10]: And why are you laughing at it?
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, God, look, do you have?
[SPEAKER_09]: Do you think now I totally jinx the horse?
[SPEAKER_09]: Do you know, do you think now that it's completely over?
[SPEAKER_09]: Not you, it's the system.
[SPEAKER_10]: We had to put the system on trial.
[SPEAKER_10]: You know, really, you know that gambling, gambling is going to be fun and that that house always wins, right?
[SPEAKER_08]: Ultimately, the house.
[SPEAKER_08]: Not with horse racing, the house has no clear advantage.
[SPEAKER_08]: A wise horse player Oscar is the one that has the advantage.
[SPEAKER_08]: And Mike is that horseman.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know what?
[SPEAKER_09]: Did you hear that?
[SPEAKER_09]: Let me just say we used it for the audio vault, but today for the purposes of discussion We're going to use that as the final nail in the California chrome coffin.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, that rod just drove in with reckless abandon You would be scared if you had this like spectacular win and you know you're your superstitious You have a gambling problem.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yes, I mean you haven't you've been great about it for the last six months Yes, this is a so-so
[SPEAKER_10]: free slope because right now like okay I did two to one I put a hundred bucks down I got two hundred dollars back this is great now it's time to mortgage a future what if I what if I put Michael's little Michael's college tuition down then he could go to better with one yeah that's exactly what he knows yeah he doesn't need to he can go to the local community college I'm putting down his entire savings account on this one race I'll never mind one more college Mike if you're heading out to the dog tract just drop off his resume you can get a job there
[SPEAKER_08]: Now will you will you continue to follow this horse and have some action in the preclos I have to I have to Absolutely have to I mean I have to do what I bet not do it I bet there would be a way that you could get in now and lock in a bet that he would be the triple crown winner
[SPEAKER_08]: and really entertain some odds to race is out.
[SPEAKER_08]: The oddly.
[SPEAKER_09]: Can we, is there, Oscar, you like that computer?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: Is there any way you could look up online triple crown odds?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: But because now now's when the betting starts, you're absolutely right.
[SPEAKER_09]: I would be right.
[SPEAKER_09]: I certainly wouldn't let, I wouldn't let a, I wouldn't probably put a $100 bet down.
[SPEAKER_09]: But it would be a decision.
[SPEAKER_08]: That if he wins a pinlake, the odds are going to go low.
[SPEAKER_08]: because he's really got two jewels in the crown.
[SPEAKER_08]: But if you look in now, maybe you could get, you know, a decent return and Mike, let's not call it a bet.
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's call it an investment.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know what you're just saying?
[SPEAKER_09]: I swear to God, I would bet for the triple crown and out of that the horses are at the gate.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh dear, it seems that it's a... Is that a leaky cow?
[SPEAKER_09]: That's terrible.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh he's down, capital that he comes down.
[SPEAKER_09]: Capy is gonna hate that joke.
[SPEAKER_08]: There's Victor Espinoza with his pistol.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was a long run.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're back by the paddock right now and gentlemen, mount your rides and Victor Espinoza is now jumping up on top of California chrome.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh dear.
[SPEAKER_08]: And now Victor's broken his leg as well.
[SPEAKER_08]: What a disaster.
[SPEAKER_09]: This is a problem back to the Jockey locker room.
[SPEAKER_09]: And now here comes the trainer.
[SPEAKER_09]: Arty is coming down.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, he's the 77-year-old man.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's broken his leg.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's pulling out his cell phone.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's calling Costa.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's asking for pain killers.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is truly a bad day for the dumbass partners.
[SPEAKER_09]: Trainor Arts Sherman has just now.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's all dear.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's trying to favor the other leg.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, he's broken both legs.
[SPEAKER_09]: Now, California, Chrome, Jackie, Victor Espinoza, and Trainer Arty, are already Sherman.
[SPEAKER_09]: They've all broken both of their legs.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's terrible, too.
[SPEAKER_08]: Never before seen, Tim, like those tables.
[SPEAKER_10]: All I can find right now is for pre-kness.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's as of yesterday at 7.28 pm.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's a 65 favorite to win the pre-kness.
[SPEAKER_10]: So that's not as for terrible.
[SPEAKER_10]: For every $5, you bet you only get six back, Mike.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's almost nothing.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's not what you need to do you need to find the exact that's where the money is yeah, but the exact that you see now See we see what Rob's doing Rob is doing and look at his face.
[SPEAKER_09]: I see this is why I love the camera For another 20 years
[SPEAKER_09]: So there's no science, there's no like Las Vegas line, Las Vegas triple crown line.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're faster.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're has Las Vegas triple crown line.
[SPEAKER_08]: What you need to do, Mike, is go back to the sports book at the back of the LVH.
[SPEAKER_09]: Do me a favor, uh, here.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's a job for Rob with one B.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, Rob, I want you to call Ace Rothstein at the 10 years hotel.
[SPEAKER_09]: In Las Vegas, Nevada, please, please do that right now.
[SPEAKER_09]: His name is April Ace Rawsten.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's a number one handicap.
[SPEAKER_08]: And if you can't get him, ask for highman Roth.
[SPEAKER_08]: Enjoy your cave.
[SPEAKER_08]: Make sure everyone sees it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Make sure everyone sees it before you cut it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Now here, we're going to divvy it up.
[SPEAKER_09]: The Rosado brothers will get a certain cut, but what they wish to have.
[SPEAKER_09]: Michael Marrow will get six to five on California Chrome.
[SPEAKER_09]: Call Clemenza.
[SPEAKER_09]: Call Clemenza before he makes the big gravy.
[SPEAKER_09]: The gravy for the pasta.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's like with the razor blade.
[SPEAKER_09]: That was very thin.
[SPEAKER_09]: That was the Godfather Casino and good fellows all were to do a bit there.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was great.
[SPEAKER_08]: I thought they were all the same movie.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I'm very excited.
[SPEAKER_09]: We will see what happens.
[SPEAKER_09]: And, uh, Kathy, uh, love you.
[SPEAKER_09]: And thank you so much for doing that.
[SPEAKER_09]: It made it for a very fun, uh, pre-nist, just my wife and my son and I down here by our onesies down in the FLA. Having a great time watching the array.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_10]: I got I got I'm on one, uh, sports betting website.
[SPEAKER_10]: And you guys explained this to me.
[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, well, California Chrome with a 20 to 24 team triple crown.
[SPEAKER_10]: One says plus 200 with other one says minus 300.
[SPEAKER_10]: What does that mean?
[SPEAKER_10]: Rob, do you have any idea I that that's not I just do odds.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know how that works.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's not run up like an over under is it and that's what it just says either over plus 200 minus two.
[SPEAKER_09]: Someone's having a message on explain it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Have you put in on your computer odds of winning the triple.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's what I got that's what I got from the first website.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'll go to another one.
[SPEAKER_09]: So would that be 200 to one?
[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
[SPEAKER_08]: But for a two minute race and they do about two and a half hours of coverage on NBC, what is it that is so engaging about the Derby coverage that they can really sort of make it work for that amount of time.
[SPEAKER_08]: Julia was out of her mind just as how can they do so much build up for such a short race, but yet it's it's still engaging and I know it's not time to have a
[SPEAKER_09]: But what it is is it's the it's the notoriety of the race.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's the only race that everybody knows right?
[SPEAKER_09]: It's the only race that people really pay attention to and then if you get a horse that might you know luckily win the precness then the hype is nuts You know it really is there you know the
[SPEAKER_09]: the printness right now will get an average viewership because you as it always does you have to have a winner and you know the only thing that might make the printness more interesting is the fact that this horse california chrome i think is kind of a you know like it what a ten thousand dollar horse
[SPEAKER_08]: I think they brought it for eight grand.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so yeah, that definitely the underdog story and that goes back I guess to see this get even as far back as that, but if he wins again in the in the Preakness the Belmont will have amazing numbers and then if there's no triple crown ramifications no one watches the Belmont so you know, we'll see you on.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think I got it
[SPEAKER_10]: A firm took the honor in 1978, if you had put triple crown, if you would have put California chrome in for the triple crown before yesterday's race, it would have been an attend to one.
[SPEAKER_10]: And the one before yesterday's race, before the race.
[SPEAKER_09]: It would have been only 10, but that's amazing.
[SPEAKER_08]: 10 to one that's low odds for winning the triple crown.
[SPEAKER_10]: He was extraordinarily favored that because I think that is crazy That one that's is now listed a two to one winning of the triple crown two to one.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh stay away from a two to one That's a one.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know that is Mike.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's us suckers back
[SPEAKER_07]: The best of all, Mera!
[SPEAKER_09]: It's the whole vibe of my last U-trips negative.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I have actually gone in thinking about maybe purchasing products and maybe around the January February as doing that.
[SPEAKER_09]: But the fact is the store, I'm in and out of there, I cannot stand it.
[SPEAKER_09]: It is that there's an energy in that store that is just
[SPEAKER_08]: horrible 100% with you.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you remember about 8 or 9 months ago when I updated the software on my iPad and it was in compatible with what we had to do.
[SPEAKER_08]: It was the carnival of Apple stores and Apple support and I really, I spent a full week and I finally went to the Apple store and I said, listen, all you need to do is give me an iPad that is running 7.0 and everything is sold.
[SPEAKER_08]: Swap it out.
[SPEAKER_08]: It took me about a week.
[SPEAKER_08]: They finally did it and then after I explained the situation the apple genius said Now before you go, do you want to update the software on this?
[SPEAKER_08]: So not only was it totally negative they weren't even paying attention to the problem or the fact that I had diagnosed it They are really just genius should be in quotes
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, it's from store to store.
[SPEAKER_10]: I can see your frustration though because you want in there you want to you want a simple answer Right a simple problem.
[SPEAKER_10]: You have now a hardware issue that could be software related.
[SPEAKER_10]: You don't know you want them to give you an answer
[SPEAKER_09]: So you would think that my opening little rave out on the apple store would be my story.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I'm here to tell you that is not the case because the really game the real games begin for me at the genius bar where I deal with two individuals.
[SPEAKER_09]: One who is responsible for helping me because you are assigned a minion.
[SPEAKER_09]: at a genius and my genius.
[SPEAKER_09]: I am not exaggerating.
[SPEAKER_09]: I am assigned Alan Arkin to work with me.
[SPEAKER_09]: I am assigned Michael.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't understand here.
[SPEAKER_09]: I am, I am assigned the oldest man to ever work at the Apple Store and the problem is that
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't mind that.
[SPEAKER_09]: What I minded was the oldest man to ever work at the Apple store is constantly going to Jesse Eisenberg for assistance and Jesse Eisenberg.
[SPEAKER_09]: is brimming with malice for Alan Arkin.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we hate to cannot.
[SPEAKER_03]: He hates.
[SPEAKER_09]: He is treating him so horribly that I wanted to take this little pencil neck geek.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I wanted to take my thumb and forefinger over his esophagus and say, if you don't start treating this older man with a little bit of respect, you pompous little bastard.
[SPEAKER_09]: I am going to throttle you in front of all these blue t-shirts.
[SPEAKER_09]: Genius on genius crime.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's the worst guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_09]: Did you see anything?
[SPEAKER_09]: It could be out of my problem.
[SPEAKER_09]: It took me out of my problem.
[SPEAKER_09]: I was so, I was so put off at how horribly this kid was treating this old guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Now, the old guy in fairness to Jesse Eisenberg, the old guy, I have no idea whether they're filling a quota.
[SPEAKER_09]: What they're doing?
[SPEAKER_09]: He was clueless and he was the only old man working in there But you would think that there here's the vibe I got at the end of the day and even based on what he said to me This is what I came away with because at a certain point I made a comment I said I'd really I'm really not happy with the way that kid is treating you.
[SPEAKER_09]: He said no, no, no, no He's doing it because he wants me to learn
[SPEAKER_09]: Now, I think the old guy who's giving it to you is the benefit.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, how sweet was that?
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, that's what my dad says to me all the time because I know you're being tough on me because you want me to learn.
[SPEAKER_10]: Right.
[SPEAKER_10]: For example, I get it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oscar, let me for purpose of the, you know, the slower listeners and our audience.
[SPEAKER_09]: For people that might not understand the, the interpersonal dynamic that I'm talking about.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oscar, like we switch times for the show.
[SPEAKER_09]: You normally take 10, 30.
[SPEAKER_09]: we're taping at nine o'clock this morning, get asked me what time we're taping at today.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_09]: What time are we taping at today?
[SPEAKER_09]: What time do you think we're taping at today?
[SPEAKER_09]: See, that's the vibe.
[SPEAKER_09]: So every condescending S.E.A.
[SPEAKER_09]: Attitude is a condescending.
[SPEAKER_09]: Or the condescending?
[SPEAKER_09]: And really, how condescending would be the water.
[SPEAKER_09]: I saw that.
[SPEAKER_09]: I did see condescending.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, you did.
[SPEAKER_09]: How old man?
[SPEAKER_09]: Condensation would be robbed jump in here.
[SPEAKER_09]: Come on in.
[SPEAKER_09]: Condescending.
[SPEAKER_09]: Condescending.
[SPEAKER_09]: Condescending.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, the water.
[SPEAKER_08]: Condescending rice.
[SPEAKER_09]: Condescending.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's condolese.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh.
[SPEAKER_08]: Condescending rice would be at a Chinese restaurant.
[SPEAKER_08]: When your food looks at you, it says, I'm better than all this.
[SPEAKER_08]: You should be able to let eat me.
[SPEAKER_08]: Why'd you get fried?
[SPEAKER_08]: Put that soy sauce down you in it.
[SPEAKER_09]: How old would you say Alonarkin is?
[SPEAKER_09]: It is 70s.
[SPEAKER_09]: Is he in his 70s?
[SPEAKER_09]: And you know what, if you make an act, I think I've got that information.
[SPEAKER_08]: If you make it past 70, you deserve respect even if it is in a way that is supposed to better you.
[SPEAKER_09]: You don't deserve that.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know how I got the age?
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know how I got because you have to give your birthday at the Genius Bar, and I said 1950-90 said, that's the year I graduated high school.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wow.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: And this little snottin' nose punk with all of his He was towards the little sister.
[SPEAKER_09]: This kid was, and I say Jesse Eisenberg for illustrative purposes, really.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was much more, he was darker-haired, and he was just this.
[SPEAKER_09]: And he seemed to be the Wiz Kid, because there were several people, not just the old guy going to him, and he was just sitting there on his own laptop, doing whatever he wanted.
[SPEAKER_03]: That nearly is nice.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I don't play the whole thing.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not going to Mike, I wouldn't think of it.
[SPEAKER_09]: But anyway, it was just, it was something where I really felt for the guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then the long and short of it was, they did diagnostics, which is cool because they, that I'll give Apple a little credit there.
[SPEAKER_09]: You go to the genius bar.
[SPEAKER_09]: They have a little USB port that comes out where they plug it into the side of your car.
[SPEAKER_09]: You're looking at a lot of porn, Mr. O'Marrow.
[SPEAKER_06]: history.
[SPEAKER_06]: They, they, they suffered a lot of this beauty.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes, the forces, all the energy and the goodies and gribblees or sucked out of your computer and put it into the giant mega computer that Apple has and then they come back and say, well, let's plug in external keyboard to do it incidentally something that 40 people had told me the night before.
[SPEAKER_09]: So, okay, and I already knew that it worked.
[SPEAKER_09]: Not only did my keyboard work fully functioning with a virtual keyboard, but it worked with the next external keyboard as well.
[SPEAKER_09]: which apparently the geniuses conclude at that point that it's got to go back to genius land.
[SPEAKER_09]: And within three to five days, they'll be able to tell me if they can repair it for $200 to $300.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: And at that point I said so no one suggested this to me, but I said this is a almost this is almost a four year old computer This is three to four years.
[SPEAKER_09]: I am told is the proper Computer they said yes, it is I said
[SPEAKER_09]: So you're gonna I really can't be without my computer.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't want to be with that my computer and the three to five days to wait If you were even tell me what's wrong and even though you're pretty sure it's a hardware issue and we've demonstrated that the external keyboard Works with it.
[SPEAKER_09]: I said how much is the external keyboard cost?
[SPEAKER_09]: He said 40 40 to sixty dollars 40 to seventy dollars Be defending on whether you get a hard wire to all right one and I said
[SPEAKER_09]: So one and I just get a keyboard and you know, I'll just cut it out.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, sure.
[SPEAKER_09]: So it's an upgrade.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think I go You can do that my goal you can do that That's okay, and so my keyboard is still not working, but I have a wireless external keyboard That's a bit of a pain in the ass because you can't you know, it's not as compact as your laptop anymore
[SPEAKER_09]: It's not a laptop, no, but most of its functions are.
[SPEAKER_09]: You got a little bit of sense of pain.
[SPEAKER_08]: But the, no, you don't have a ball in Cheney as a ball.
[SPEAKER_08]: There's no chain.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's wireless.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, the, the, yeah, maybe you can't, you can't put it on your lap and make it function the way.
[SPEAKER_08]: But the outboard keyboard can't, this is a mouse pad.
[SPEAKER_09]: You can't use your mouse pad in your keyboard for every function, especially if it's anything numerical, how's that?
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm becoming a computer expert.
[SPEAKER_09]: Now, but the outboard keyboard, you could use, you could use the regular keyboard as long as you don't have numbers, right?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you can use the mouse pad, so you only need the Outboard keyboard for for numbers and long vision when I when I when I when I Lay out the show every day.
[SPEAKER_09]: I do it numerically.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'm sure today.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, God, you have to go to the wrong number system
[SPEAKER_10]: You have Roman numerals.
[SPEAKER_08]: Mike the Roman number system.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know like they do for super balls.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's saying he's Roman numbers.
[SPEAKER_10]: He means Roman numerals.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh like X I. Mike it's the Roman number system.
[SPEAKER_10]: Do that.
[SPEAKER_10]: Like an old Roman times.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_09]: I sure, you know, listen.
[SPEAKER_10]: Then you don't mean the numbers.
[SPEAKER_09]: He means Roman numerals, but there's no reason to be condescending to him.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I understand, you know.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, but if you did that, then everything will be solved.
[SPEAKER_10]: That's true, Mike.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't want to.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I didn't know we're not doing that.
[SPEAKER_09]: I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I
[SPEAKER_09]: The long and short of an, uh, I immediately got home and started researching, uh, places that fix Macs and their plenty of them.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, they're, they're an every city in America.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I'm not going back to that ridiculous genius bar where, you know, it's, it's a factory and, and they they're over.
[SPEAKER_09]: First of all, if you really want to service your customers, Apple, I think what you really ought to do is give some thought, give a little thought.
[SPEAKER_10]: building a few more in store locations because they're not enough of them and that's why they're ridiculously crowded and I and I hit it's like it's like bad airline service it really is yeah I really think you should reconsider the Roman numbers aspect of this Roman numerals please for God because they have Italian accents so it's a lot of fun yeah Mike you can pick up a number as big as your head
[SPEAKER_09]: Are you doing?
[SPEAKER_09]: He's your first to item for today.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're going to talk about how much a mag hates the app to store.
[SPEAKER_09]: What a great story he's got.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're going to walk on to his a weekend.
[SPEAKER_09]: What a weekend he had in the door to keys.
[SPEAKER_09]: Where everybody has a whole bunch of substance abuse.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, I would love a joke, brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe like that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can you get it tomorrow?
[SPEAKER_03]: Can you get it tomorrow?
[SPEAKER_09]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'll lay that on you tomorrow.
[SPEAKER_07]: The best of all, Mera.
[SPEAKER_09]: A year after a pair of homemade pressure cooker bombs killed three people and moved more than 260 others, the Boston Marathon runners and spectators are getting involved in it today.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's already underway.
[SPEAKER_09]: The Boston Marathon.
[SPEAKER_09]: About 36,000 runners have registered for the race.
[SPEAKER_09]: The second largest field in its history, many of them are coming in to show support for the event and the city that was shocked by the attack on its signature sporting event.
[SPEAKER_09]: Can't believe I was up in Boston a year ago today, I'd go into the Red Sox game after the bombing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's what you were actually driving into town when they captured the guy in the boat, right?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_09]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_09]: I went to the Saturday baseball game on.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think it was April 20th.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're, uh, you know, big poppy.
[SPEAKER_09]: David Ortiz got up and said, this is our effing city.
[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, rather than creating a tense situation with all the security.
[SPEAKER_09]: Everyone appears relaxed.
[SPEAKER_09]: Some runners have even thanked the police officers for making them feel feel safe.
[SPEAKER_09]: So, uh, salute.
[SPEAKER_09]: I know Oscar's got family up there.
[SPEAKER_09]: I have family up there and Boston's strong.
[SPEAKER_09]: We are with you.
[SPEAKER_09]: Hollywood has embraced God in a big and lucrative way.
[SPEAKER_09]: The movie Heaven is for real, which depicts the story of a young boy who claims to have visited Heaven during a near death experience is the fourth faith-based film this year to stir movie-going audiences with impressive box office.
[SPEAKER_09]: Made, uh, let me see, for $12 million, the film which stars Greg Keneer collected $21.5 million over the Easter weekend in US and Canadian theaters, finishing third of the box office behind bigger budget films, Captain America, the Winter Soldier from Walt Disney and Rio 2 from Fox.
[SPEAKER_09]: Two other Christian-based films also cracked the top 10, I thought this was a good Easter Monday.
[SPEAKER_09]: Noah from Viacom and God's not dead, which is about a religious freshman college student who debates his professor over the existence of God.
[SPEAKER_09]: So big business, God is selling in the movies.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'd like to see it based not only on the fact of what the message of the movie.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'd like Greg Kanier a lot.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I saw him on.
[SPEAKER_08]: Did you happen to watch CBS Sunday morning?
[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't this week.
[SPEAKER_08]: They had a great interview with him.
[SPEAKER_08]: He likes to play real-life people, and you think back, he played Bob Crane in that movie, and he also took the guy that invented the intermittent windshield wipers.
[SPEAKER_09]: And this is a terrific movie.
[SPEAKER_08]: And this is the third movie where he plays an actual guy, and he likes to get inside people's heads.
[SPEAKER_10]: I think he offers a good performance almost all the time.
[SPEAKER_10]: Gentlemen, speaking of gods or god in general?
[SPEAKER_10]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_10]: I just looked up, god of the sky, and I should have known this, and Greek mythology.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's Uranus.
[SPEAKER_10]: What about Uranus photography?
[SPEAKER_10]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_09]: That would be great.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's still on his business.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's a category.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's a category.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's a category.
[SPEAKER_09]: No man.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know her.
[SPEAKER_09]: You'll love Lindsay.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: She says she suffered a miscarriage during the taping of a reality TV series.
[SPEAKER_09]: Except when she said it might.
[SPEAKER_09]: I added as I.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_03]: Jack and coke.
[SPEAKER_09]: The 27 year old actress.
[SPEAKER_09]: She made the disclosure during Sunday's final episode of Lindsay, the own cable channel series.
[SPEAKER_09]: Loan said the miscarriage was the result.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm sorry the reason that she was unable to appear on the program at one point.
[SPEAKER_09]: She said she was sick and unable to move.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's a lie.
[SPEAKER_09]: You think it's a lot?
[SPEAKER_10]: You think it's a lot?
[SPEAKER_10]: I feel like that woman will... She's in a such a bad space and especially when you want to show you and she's so coddled that people will just...
[SPEAKER_10]: They won't... How do you... Let me ask this question.
[SPEAKER_10]: When someone tells you that, how do you question that without being a complete dick?
[SPEAKER_10]: Like you can't question that.
[SPEAKER_10]: You know what this is?
[SPEAKER_09]: It's very, very key to telling you.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know?
[SPEAKER_08]: This is somewhat we talked about this about Bill O'Reilly on Friday when he claimed that he was asked to be the Marlboro man.
[SPEAKER_08]: Again, you really can't vet it.
[SPEAKER_09]: You can.
[SPEAKER_09]: She began taping the own reality show shortly after leaving her sixth and rehab last summer Oscar you've watched the And three of the three of the episodes.
[SPEAKER_09]: I have what three more to go for them So worthwhile train rectet to take a look at you know, it's fun because
[SPEAKER_10]: You see, you get an inside look at of, and it's kind of voyeuristicity, inside look of what it's like for someone that a one-point had tremendous fame and now it's trying to really win it back.
[SPEAKER_10]: And you see the struggle of addiction.
[SPEAKER_10]: So I wouldn't say fun is the wrong word.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, fun is not really the word.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's interesting.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's interesting because it's not, the train and the wreck effect isn't like, oh my god, I hate this one.
[SPEAKER_10]: I can't believe she's doing it.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's almost sad because you sit there and you said, I can't believe the people around her are letting her get away with it.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know what it is, it's the Elvis thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: all over again.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's people enabling people with power to ruin themselves and I I've watched it and fun is not the word.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's tragic and I make me want to take a shower.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's gross is what it is.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well Rob Spuack I've told you a time and time again that there's one celebrity that I want to see on Broadway.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I would pay any amount of money to see that celebrity.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's Neil Patrick.
[SPEAKER_08]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_08]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_09]: I hear a big fan.
[SPEAKER_09]: You love all the stuff he does.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's a triple threat.
[SPEAKER_09]: This man is unstoppable.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh my.
[SPEAKER_09]: You had a profane message for a besotted fan who disrupted his Broadway show, headwig and the angry inch.
[SPEAKER_09]: Hmm, that sounds interesting.
[SPEAKER_09]: Mid performance, a female fan yelled out, I love you, Nail!
[SPEAKER_09]: uh... harris who plays a trans-gender eastern and prunk uh... yelled back without missing a beat in character i'm doing something up here mother effort uh... well look at him yet in the tough guy at the uh... the audience went wild
[SPEAKER_08]: Of course they did.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's fun to go to Broadway.
[SPEAKER_09]: It isn't that special.
[SPEAKER_09]: Remember when Apple Maps came out and everyone complained that it was worse than Google Maps?
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well Apple has just found the Loch Ness monster.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I was not only looking at these photographs but that's true.
[SPEAKER_09]: It would be safe to say I was studying them over the weekend.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is why you went fishing?
[SPEAKER_09]: There's a satellite shot of Loch Ness in Scotland on Apple Maps and you can see a long mysterious shape in the water.
[SPEAKER_09]: The shape is about 100 feet long and it looks like it has flippers on the side.
[SPEAKER_08]: Are you sure it's not a huge baby Ruth bar?
[SPEAKER_09]: Have you seen it?
[SPEAKER_09]: I haven't
[SPEAKER_09]: Naturally, people immediately suspected it was the likeness monster.
[SPEAKER_09]: In fact, the official likeness monster fan club Hey, Mickey, your cello is up for president this year Just call just send all increase to William still well anyway I believe that it might be real Could I have an amiritu in ginger?
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh my god, it does look real.
[SPEAKER_09]: Did it look scary?
[SPEAKER_10]: This is not cool
[SPEAKER_09]: The pancreas is, luckily, it's likely the monster.
[SPEAKER_09]: Spokesman Stephen Douglas McIntyre said that he was... No, the skeptics say it just looks like the wake from a boat, and that's fine, but there's no boat in the shot.
[SPEAKER_09]: Where's the boat, haters?
[SPEAKER_09]: Where's the boat, huh?
[SPEAKER_09]: It's not there.
[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe the boat was just out of frame.
[SPEAKER_09]: I believe it is the elusive Munstie.
[SPEAKER_09]: This is big news for the Loch Ness Monster, the president of the fan club announced in February that no one had reported a sighting in 18 months That's the longest span without a Loch Ness Monster setting since 1925 The thing has got to be old now the Loch Ness Monster.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, he's probably slower and he's your dad You know they have months.
[SPEAKER_10]: They have actually river monsters on is that in discovery?
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm not sure what channel I've watched river monsters the guy goes to the Loch Ness
[SPEAKER_10]: And it finds Cartoon-sized bull shark there.
[SPEAKER_09]: Does he really?
[SPEAKER_10]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: This could be one of those bull shark surfers.
[SPEAKER_09]: I love that you watch all that reality TV.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think that's wonderful.
[SPEAKER_09]: And regarding Mr. Spiewax, comment about the months for being too old.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_09]: Please consider it's offspring.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: Son of a monster, yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: Even if your kid had a terrible Easter egg hunt this year and cried because the bigger kid snatched up all the eggs, this is worse.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, this is amazing.
[SPEAKER_09]: This story there's there's some that I love out Easter than there's some that are oh my god Yeah, Tara Hannah scova of Knoxville, Tennessee Set up an Easter egg hunt for her three-year-old son-last Wednesday and while they were looking for eggs in the backyard They noticed a pair of shoes poking out from under their deck and when Tara investigated She found a dead body.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah
[SPEAKER_09]: That is a guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was fully clothed.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, that's good anyway.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's been there for at least two weeks.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_09]: And autopsy found that he died from a medical condition, not murder.
[SPEAKER_09]: But the murder.
[SPEAKER_09]: But the cops haven't identified him yet.
[SPEAKER_09]: Tara says that luckily her son didn't know what was going on, even as their house was flooded with cops.
[SPEAKER_09]: Pretty interesting little Easter story there, don't you think?
[SPEAKER_08]: If I had found a dead body on Easter, I would have waited three days just to see what happened.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't want to deal with it right now.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the one Monday.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, that's a little big start.
[SPEAKER_09]: Roll the stone back.
[SPEAKER_09]: See what happens.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was doing a resurrection joke there.
[SPEAKER_09]: I was doing crisis reasons.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I don't think that.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's okay.
[SPEAKER_09]: That was a crazy joke.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's funny on many levels.
[SPEAKER_09]: Now a little something something.
[SPEAKER_09]: A South Carolina man who walked into a Walmart wearing nothing but his shoes that he went crazy after getting his hands on the wrong drugs.
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh dear.
[SPEAKER_09]: Kevin Hughes told WSOCTV, I've had a problem with drugs in the past.
[SPEAKER_09]: I still like to do ecstasy once in a while.
[SPEAKER_09]: I accidentally got methamphetamine instead and it really made me crazy.
[SPEAKER_09]: He uses 36.
[SPEAKER_09]: He said that he remembers going to sleep at his sister's house on Thursday The next thing he recalled was waking up in his truck in the parking lot of a Walmart Oh, no, that's true.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was told a reporter that he only realized he was naked once he ventured into the store When police arrived he reportedly told them he was looking to mass some clothes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah fixing to my he was fixing the man New he was fixing to buy him a new outfit
[SPEAKER_09]: Uh, he was escorted out by police who found some shorts and uses truck and took him to jail and like I always say boys Yeah, illegal drugs can't help you unless you take them right
