<v Speaker 1>You know, I watched the Raw after Money in the Bank,
<v Speaker 1>and it was largely boring, up until about two and
<v Speaker 1>a half hours into the show. Then it got good.
<v Speaker 1>We had Chad Gable, and we had Ray Phoenix for
<v Speaker 1>the Intercontinental title. Great match. We had that big main
<v Speaker 1>event with 9-4-6 against the Bloodline, and we had the
<v Speaker 1>big newsworthy reveal at the very end of Carmelo Hayes
<v Speaker 1>as the newest member. So when the show was over...
<v Speaker 1>It at least felt like something major had happened. Like
<v Speaker 1>the show was newsworthy in that regard. We had one
<v Speaker 1>really great wrestling match. You know what? Okay. Not bad, right?
<v Speaker 1>At least it ended well. SmackDown didn't even have that.
<v Speaker 1>I just watched this show. Two hours of this television show. SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>terrible television show tonight. And I see comments from you people.
<v Speaker 1>How is that any different from SmackDown any other week?
<v Speaker 1>Fair point. This show tonight, this TV show tonight, was
<v Speaker 1>just so boring that in the middle of this show,
<v Speaker 1>you don't just need me to tell you this. In
<v Speaker 1>the middle of this show, there was a segment with
<v Speaker 1>Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley. They were in the middle
<v Speaker 1>of the ring. They were in a promo segment right
<v Speaker 1>before Fatal Influence came out. And there was a fan
<v Speaker 1>in the front row on the left side who was,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if he was falling asleep or he
<v Speaker 1>was already asleep. but he was dozing off. And God
<v Speaker 1>knows what he paid for that ticket, okay? You're in
<v Speaker 1>the front row. This is not fucking Green Shirt Guy
<v Speaker 1>or the guy with the long hair who's always sitting
<v Speaker 1>with his mom or whatever. This guy paid whatever he
<v Speaker 1>paid for that front row ticket to this show, and
<v Speaker 1>he was falling asleep. It was only when Fatal Influence
<v Speaker 1>came out because they blasted their music that this guy
<v Speaker 1>finally woke up. And I knew at least he was
<v Speaker 1>conscious and he had a pulse. But that really summed
<v Speaker 1>up this show tonight in one image. I saw that.
<v Speaker 1>I said, this guy is my spirit animal. That's who
<v Speaker 1>he is. I understand that they can't all be winners.
<v Speaker 1>I try to be fair here. I talk about how
<v Speaker 1>much the WWE title picture on this show for the
<v Speaker 1>last few months has really heated up because there's been
<v Speaker 1>a lot of competition. Everybody wants the champion. Sami Zayn
<v Speaker 1>is in the middle of it all. And you've got
<v Speaker 1>Punk and you've got Owens and you've got this guy
<v Speaker 1>and that guy. And Gunther was a pretty big part
<v Speaker 1>of it there for a period of time. Now, of course,
<v Speaker 1>he's been relegated to Dan Housen duty as we head
<v Speaker 1>into Halloween. He's basically, Gunther is basically a non-factor at
<v Speaker 1>this point, as far as the title picture is concerned.
<v Speaker 1>And it is good that we've had all of this competition,
<v Speaker 1>but that, you know, you still have the rest of
<v Speaker 1>the show. You still have to format the rest of
<v Speaker 1>the television show. You have a lot of other people
<v Speaker 1>on the show. You have the women on the show.
<v Speaker 1>You have tag teams, kind of, sort of, not really,
<v Speaker 1>but you have some on this show. And you have
<v Speaker 1>the stories that they have elected to tell with these
<v Speaker 1>different people. whether it's Damian Priest and R-Truth, or whether
<v Speaker 1>it's the MFTs and, you know, Boxeye, or whatever the
<v Speaker 1>fuck is going on on this television show outside of
<v Speaker 1>that WWE title scene. And the problem, the biggest problem
<v Speaker 1>with SmackDown right now is that none of these stories
<v Speaker 1>are interesting. None of them. Now, the story between Cody
<v Speaker 1>Rhodes and Randy Orton, it's an easy one, very simple
<v Speaker 1>one to follow. And these guys are trying to go
<v Speaker 1>out there, and they are trying to Course correct after
<v Speaker 1>their angle for WrestleMania was sabotaged earlier this year. And
<v Speaker 1>they're telling a very simple story of Cody, who has
<v Speaker 1>been down on his luck, lost his championship, trying to
<v Speaker 1>find that harder edge. He's trying to go to that
<v Speaker 1>dark place that Randy Orton says, you don't have it
<v Speaker 1>in you to do that. You don't have the killer
<v Speaker 1>instinct like I do to kick people in the head
<v Speaker 1>and to end people's careers. Right. It's a very simple
<v Speaker 1>story to follow. Tonight we got to see Cody Rhodes
<v Speaker 1>take that step. He did it with Baron Corbin. Crowd
<v Speaker 1>didn't really seem to care all that much other than
<v Speaker 1>to say, hey, one more time. They were so devastated
<v Speaker 1>by the horror of this. Randy Orton tried to sell,
<v Speaker 1>you know, hand over his mouth. Funny enough, that was
<v Speaker 1>the look I had watching most of this television show tonight.
<v Speaker 1>As I looked on in horror watching SmackDown. So at
<v Speaker 1>least Randy Orton tried to sell the shock of it.
<v Speaker 1>The shock of seeing Cody Rhodes kick this man in
<v Speaker 1>the head. And so again, that's a simple enough story
<v Speaker 1>to follow, and it's not a bad story, but even
<v Speaker 1>that felt very dull. You know, I don't know when
<v Speaker 1>they're going to do this next match, if they're going
<v Speaker 1>to do it at Crown Jewel, if they're going to
<v Speaker 1>try to delay it until Survivor Series, I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't know how many more times, you know,
<v Speaker 1>now that we've seen him punt kick somebody, they can
<v Speaker 1>really drag this out for. But that's fine. I mean, again,
<v Speaker 1>I don't have a big issue with that story, but
<v Speaker 1>the television even tonight is just not that interesting. And
<v Speaker 1>that is the biggest offense of SmackDown. Because if you have,
<v Speaker 1>let's say, a main event scene that maybe you're not
<v Speaker 1>all that interested in what's going on, maybe the undercard, though,
<v Speaker 1>is there to kind of raise the show up. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>it's the flip side, where there's not a whole lot
<v Speaker 1>of exciting stuff going on in the mid-car, but man,
<v Speaker 1>that main event scene is hot as hell, right? And
<v Speaker 1>now we're at a juncture right now where so much
<v Speaker 1>of this show has no life to it. Like, it
<v Speaker 1>is scarier than any Halloween movie that you will see
<v Speaker 1>all month. That is the state of SmackDown right now. Now,
<v Speaker 1>I can't call it the worst SmackDown of the year,
<v Speaker 1>because as it was pointed out to me before, and
<v Speaker 1>you make a good point, I think it was lovescats
<v Speaker 1>in the chat. We had the first half of this
<v Speaker 1>year comprised of three-hour SmackDowns, and there were some fucking
<v Speaker 1>terrible shows in that bunch. This was among the worst
<v Speaker 1>SmackDowns of the year, though, but I want you to
<v Speaker 1>think about something. This show, the one saving grace of
<v Speaker 1>this show is that it is no longer three hours.
<v Speaker 1>For now. It will be back to three hours in
<v Speaker 1>just a few months. In January, this show goes back
<v Speaker 1>to three hours. And unless something massive changes in these
<v Speaker 1>next few months, can you imagine a show like this
<v Speaker 1>with an extra hour tacked onto it? Like I said,
<v Speaker 1>scarier than any Halloween movie you will watch all month.
<v Speaker 1>That's a terrifying thought. That is the state of smack
<v Speaker 1>there right now. What I should have done, you know
<v Speaker 1>what I should have done? What I should have done is,
<v Speaker 1>because I have not watched it yet. I had some
<v Speaker 1>people ask me about it. I have not watched Crystal
<v Speaker 1>Lake yet. The series just dropped on Peacock yesterday. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>I would have been better off spending my night watching
<v Speaker 1>the first couple of episodes of Crystal Lake, which I
<v Speaker 1>am looking forward to seeing. And I'm sure no matter
<v Speaker 1>how good or bad the show is, it will be
<v Speaker 1>more entertaining than SmackDown was tonight. We're going to talk
<v Speaker 1>about this whole thing, though. We'll try to make it entertaining.
<v Speaker 1>As best we can, this is your Friday Night SmackDown review.
<v Speaker 1>We got to end the week with some laughs, at least.
<v Speaker 1>We got to try to salvage something here at the
<v Speaker 1>end of this week. It is Friday night, October 16, 2026.
<v Speaker 1>I'm the Solid Monster. Thank you guys for hanging out
<v Speaker 1>with me on a Friday night. Like and subscribe. We
<v Speaker 1>got a brand new Super Chat down in the description,
<v Speaker 1>and a whole bunch of messages already came in. I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to be reading through all of them with you
<v Speaker 1>and hanging out with you guys, and then hopefully doing
<v Speaker 1>some Be the Booker here at the end. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>after the show, and yes, the Uncrowned Wrestling Show. I
<v Speaker 1>was going to mention that after, but... I'm going all
<v Speaker 1>around town here. We're going to see if we can
<v Speaker 1>do at least one round to be the booker. But
<v Speaker 1>we've got to find out what the likes goal is,
<v Speaker 1>as always. So we'll spin the wheel. We will spin
<v Speaker 1>the wheel, and we will find out what the magic
<v Speaker 1>number is going to be tonight. 400. Right on the button.
<v Speaker 1>How about that? A nice, even number. 400 likes is
<v Speaker 1>the goal for tonight. So there you go, man, this show.
<v Speaker 1>Watching this show, man, it beats the fucking life out
<v Speaker 1>of you watching some of these television shows. It really does.
<v Speaker 1>It really does. It's just fucking awful. Who could watch
<v Speaker 1>this show? In all honesty, you could be the biggest
<v Speaker 1>WWE homer in the world. I want to know the
<v Speaker 1>people who are watching this show, like the one we
<v Speaker 1>got tonight and are saying, oh man, this was exciting
<v Speaker 1>television here. These people aren't real. These people, they're AI,
<v Speaker 1>they're manufactured, they're bots, they're drones. I don't know. I just,
<v Speaker 1>I don't see how it's possible. I don't see how
<v Speaker 1>it's possible. But they are out there. They do exist.
<v Speaker 1>They're just not real. Vic Joseph subbed in for Michael
<v Speaker 1>Cole tonight on commentary with Corey Graves. So that was
<v Speaker 1>the announce team for SmackDown. Sami Zayn, the WWE champion,
<v Speaker 1>made his way out to the ring to open the show.
<v Speaker 1>And he had with him his good friends, Johnny Gargano
<v Speaker 1>and Candice LeRae. So Sami asked... SmackDown punch! SmackDown punch!
<v Speaker 1>There it is. there's your Superman punch now we got
<v Speaker 1>a lot of those at Money in the Bank we
<v Speaker 1>got so many of those I lost count how many
<v Speaker 1>we got in that opening match but I thought the
<v Speaker 1>opening match was great I love the opening match but
<v Speaker 1>I could also say we had a ridiculous amount of
<v Speaker 1>Superman punches we don't need to see that many Superman
<v Speaker 1>punches Venom Kitetsu thank you for breaking in the new
<v Speaker 1>one oh man You like the Batman punch better? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I kind of think my Superman punch is
<v Speaker 1>bad i don't know what i was doing there but
<v Speaker 1>he's doing unspeakable things so sammy's out there and he
<v Speaker 1>hated to say i told you so but all the
<v Speaker 1>vultures that came after him they got what they had
<v Speaker 1>coming to them as did jevon evans at money in
<v Speaker 1>the bank cm punk and kevin owens sammy told them
<v Speaker 1>You were going to come up empty-handed, and that's exactly
<v Speaker 1>what happened. As for Penta, he gave him some advice.
<v Speaker 1>He said, focus on Roman Reigns, because he wanted to
<v Speaker 1>talk about Roman. They have a crown jewel match coming
<v Speaker 1>up in a few weeks. He said he will be
<v Speaker 1>on Raw this Monday to speak to Roman face-to-face, because
<v Speaker 1>if you miss Raw, Roman is making a return on Monday. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>we're getting the return of Roman Reigns on Raw next week,
<v Speaker 1>and so Sami apparently will be there to greet him.
<v Speaker 1>Trick Williams interrupted this. And he made his way to
<v Speaker 1>the ring. He said it's no secret that the two
<v Speaker 1>of them don't like each other. And after last week,
<v Speaker 1>he sees that it's personal for Sami. He said he
<v Speaker 1>understands why. Because every time he sees Trick Williams, he
<v Speaker 1>remembers WrestleMania. He remembers Backlash. And he said that he
<v Speaker 1>didn't care about Sami or his Ride or Die fans.
<v Speaker 1>But since he disrespected him two weeks ago, he was
<v Speaker 1>going to beat Zayn's ass. So Sami told Trick... I'm
<v Speaker 1>not one to be trifled with. But he has to
<v Speaker 1>turn everything into a joke because that's all he is.
<v Speaker 1>He told Trick he doesn't have the survival skills to
<v Speaker 1>survive in the jungle. Sammy told Trick that he's a survivor.
<v Speaker 1>And that's why he's going to stay where he is
<v Speaker 1>and Trick will stay where he is. And Trick said, look,
<v Speaker 1>I'm not joking. He said, look at you and look
<v Speaker 1>at me. You tell me who the joke is here. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>says the guy with fur on his fucking belt. He
<v Speaker 1>told Sammy to take a swing, find out what happens.
<v Speaker 1>So finally Gargano speaks up, and he said that, you know,
<v Speaker 1>enough of this. He told Trick, you're disrespecting us too.
<v Speaker 1>He said Trick was handed opportunities that they had to
<v Speaker 1>work for, all because he has an entrance. If he
<v Speaker 1>continues the disrespect, he'll find out why they call him
<v Speaker 1>Johnny Wrestling. So Trick said he wasn't making excuses, he
<v Speaker 1>would just beat his ass too. And Gargano accepted, and
<v Speaker 1>They called out a referee for this impromptu match. Not
<v Speaker 1>the only impromptu match on this show. We had a
<v Speaker 1>couple of those. So I guess add another name to
<v Speaker 1>the pile of people who are coming after the WWE
<v Speaker 1>Championship because the whole point of this segment seemed to
<v Speaker 1>be setting up a future match between Sami and Trick. Otherwise,
<v Speaker 1>a very basic segment. Nothing terribly interesting. It's the Amazing
<v Speaker 1>Goon Thoughts. But this man is interesting. Jerry Lawler loves
<v Speaker 1>Gunthar the Magnificent. All hail Gunthar. Our pal Gunthar is
<v Speaker 1>always interesting. That was Asahi Moonsault with the $ 50 Gunthar bomb.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, brother. Always love seeing that magenta love. No message, too.
<v Speaker 1>Just dropping some love. Asahi Moonsault. I love the name.
<v Speaker 1>You know, Gunther gets more play on these streams than
<v Speaker 1>Gunther does on SmackDown these days. Think about that. So
<v Speaker 1>we had Trick Williams against Johnny Gargano. No Lil Yachty
<v Speaker 1>with Trick this week. They joined the match already in progress.
<v Speaker 1>Williams tried for a trick shot. Candice LeRae, though, grabbed
<v Speaker 1>his foot from ringside. That allowed Gargano to get a
<v Speaker 1>roll-up with a handful of tights, but Trick was able
<v Speaker 1>to kick out. So Gargano was looking for a Haluva kick.
<v Speaker 1>He missed. Johnny tried for a slingshot spear, but he
<v Speaker 1>propelled himself right into a trick shot knee, followed by
<v Speaker 1>the bookend for the win for trick. Solid little match here.
<v Speaker 1>Gargano's a lackey. His role is to go out there
<v Speaker 1>and lose, which is what he did. As Johnny Gargano
<v Speaker 1>matches go, I've seen better. Solid match, though. Nothing wrong
<v Speaker 1>with it otherwise. After the match, we got a video
<v Speaker 1>recap of highlights from the women's Money in the Bank
<v Speaker 1>ladder match this past weekend, which included Tiffany Stratton winning.
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany Stratton was not on the show. I assume she's
<v Speaker 1>not traveling with them. Maybe they don't want her flying.
<v Speaker 1>Would not shock me if she was, in fact, concussed
<v Speaker 1>at Money in the Bank, which begs the question, why
<v Speaker 1>the fuck did they let her back in the ring
<v Speaker 1>when she dinged her head in the first two minutes
<v Speaker 1>of the match? They sent her back out there because
<v Speaker 1>she probably said, oh, I'm okay, just give me a minute.
<v Speaker 1>And they allowed her back into a match, but it's
<v Speaker 1>a fucking ladder match. People are jumping off ladders, they're
<v Speaker 1>getting hit in the head with all kinds of weapons
<v Speaker 1>and shit. It wasn't like it was just a regular match,
<v Speaker 1>and that would be bad enough. I assume they let
<v Speaker 1>her back in the ring because they made a decision like, okay,
<v Speaker 1>she seems to be okay. But she may not be okay.
<v Speaker 1>And that's not the sort of thing that you want
<v Speaker 1>to be fucking around with. I didn't expect her to
<v Speaker 1>wrestle on this show, but The fact that she wasn't there,
<v Speaker 1>maybe they're just giving her the week off to just
<v Speaker 1>heal up. Hopefully it's not a sign of something worse.
<v Speaker 1>But backstage, Nick Aldis was chatting with Blake Monroe and
<v Speaker 1>informed her that next week she would be wrestling Julia
<v Speaker 1>in a street fight. I wonder if they'll make it
<v Speaker 1>one of these trick or street fights. Or is it
<v Speaker 1>too early? It's the week before Halloween. They may not
<v Speaker 1>want to do that. By the way, I mentioned Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>and we're talking about Blake. I know we have a
<v Speaker 1>couple of people who typically are with us here in
<v Speaker 1>the chat who are big fans of Kiana James. And
<v Speaker 1>Kiana James has been absent from this television show now
<v Speaker 1>for months. Her stock, which never was terribly high on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 1>I think that and still could be. She could be
<v Speaker 1>a future prospect. I think she could do big things
<v Speaker 1>if she's given the opportunity to do so. Her stock
<v Speaker 1>never really went above a certain point to begin with.
<v Speaker 1>Her stock since then has plummeted. She has a fucking
<v Speaker 1>penny stock now. Okay, now if you're wondering, where is she?
<v Speaker 1>We haven't seen her in months. Where is Kiana James? Well,
<v Speaker 1>you'll be happy to know, or maybe unhappy to know,
<v Speaker 1>that she is now back in NXT. Because she appeared
<v Speaker 1>about 10 days ago on the NXT show where they
<v Speaker 1>had the Battle Royal, the number one contenders Battle Royal.
<v Speaker 1>She was in there. So apparently she's back to NXT.
<v Speaker 1>because they had nothing else for her on SmackDown. Chelsea
<v Speaker 1>Green walked in, and they talked about her match with
<v Speaker 1>Liv Morgan. Her and Nick Aldis talked about her match
<v Speaker 1>coming up with Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel, which as
<v Speaker 1>of this moment is still scheduled for Riyadh. Still no
<v Speaker 1>word from WWE. The clock is ticking. So he said, look, Liv,
<v Speaker 1>you're going to have to deal with her. She's probably
<v Speaker 1>going to be on SmackDown soon. And Roxanne Perez is
<v Speaker 1>going to be coming after you probably for a WWE
<v Speaker 1>championship match because Roxanne pinned the champion on Raw this week.
<v Speaker 1>I thought we would see Roxanne on this show. I mean, literally,
<v Speaker 1>Adam Pearce on Monday said, hey, you want a shot
<v Speaker 1>at the title, you got to go to SmackDown. You
<v Speaker 1>talk to Adam Pearce. Or you talk to Nick Aldis, rather.
<v Speaker 1>And she was nowhere on this show tonight. No Judgment
<v Speaker 1>Day on the show. So Nikki Bella then walked. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>this just gets better. This just gets even better. Nikki
<v Speaker 1>Bella walks in, and she reminded Chelsea that she's going
<v Speaker 1>to see her in two weeks for a title match. What?
<v Speaker 1>Was this made official last week? See, I wasn't here
<v Speaker 1>last week. I may have missed that. She has a
<v Speaker 1>title match in two weeks? What has she done to
<v Speaker 1>earn a title match? But she's telling her, we got
<v Speaker 1>a championship match in two weeks. But first, she's going
<v Speaker 1>to beat Paige tonight. But I hear this and I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>is that a threat? Because I took that as a threat.
<v Speaker 1>She's getting a fucking title match in two weeks? So
<v Speaker 1>then we had Paige one-on-one against Nikki Bella. They got
<v Speaker 1>nine minutes. Now, if I tell you we had Paige
<v Speaker 1>and Nikki Bella one-on-one, you would think it was 2015
<v Speaker 1>all over again. You would think that you had Fallen
<v Speaker 1>back in time. And got dropped into a random episode
<v Speaker 1>of Raw from 11 years ago. But no, it's 2026.
<v Speaker 1>And we got it here on this show. They got
<v Speaker 1>nine minutes. It felt like every bit of it. Here's
<v Speaker 1>the thing. Okay? I don't care about this story. This
<v Speaker 1>story sucks. They have done nothing on television... okay, to
<v Speaker 1>get people invested in this in any sort of meaningful way.
<v Speaker 1>The only thing that we have had in the limited
<v Speaker 1>time that these women have had on the television show,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, they get their TV time where they can,
<v Speaker 1>and when they do, they don't give them much, and
<v Speaker 1>it's not very good. This entire feud has been built
<v Speaker 1>on fucking juvenile insults about fucking John Cena and sleeping
<v Speaker 1>with this guy and sleeping with that guy. And we're
<v Speaker 1>supposed to care about this why? What exactly are we
<v Speaker 1>supposed to care about here? Again, they're not getting a
<v Speaker 1>lot of television time to begin with, and so that's
<v Speaker 1>a problem if you want to try to get people
<v Speaker 1>to really invest in these characters. But then when we
<v Speaker 1>see them, we hear them, why should I care? Give
<v Speaker 1>me a reason to care. They've given us no reason
<v Speaker 1>to give a shit about any of this. And so
<v Speaker 1>they send them out there, and most of these matches
<v Speaker 1>are virtually heatless. And this feud has been going on
<v Speaker 1>now for a few months, and I'm like, what is
<v Speaker 1>the endgame here? I understand that by Brie Bella getting
<v Speaker 1>hurt at SummerSlam, it fucked up whatever plans they had.
<v Speaker 1>you know, to have the Bellas going after or winning
<v Speaker 1>the tag team titles, and so they had to sort
<v Speaker 1>of course correct, and now Nikki is on her own
<v Speaker 1>for a while, and you have to adjust. I get that. But, like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, like, what is this? What is this
<v Speaker 1>supposed to be? So they're out there. Paige did the
<v Speaker 1>John Cena five knuckle shuffle. They're still doing John Cena
<v Speaker 1>callbacks here. She did the John Cena five knuckle shuffle
<v Speaker 1>or tried to. Nikki countered that into an STF. Paige
<v Speaker 1>fought out of it and hit an attitude adjustment and
<v Speaker 1>covered only got a two count. So Nikki set up
<v Speaker 1>for the rack attack. Paige slipped out and Paige got
<v Speaker 1>the win with her feet on the ropes behind the
<v Speaker 1>referee's back. That's how Nikki beat her in their last match.
<v Speaker 1>So tit for tat, what's good for one is good
<v Speaker 1>for the other, and now they're all even. There were
<v Speaker 1>multiple times here in this match, and you could tell.
<v Speaker 1>I talked about crowd investment, right? You watch this match,
<v Speaker 1>and there were at least a couple of different times
<v Speaker 1>where these women were like, they're banging on the mat,
<v Speaker 1>or they're motioning to the crowd. They're trying to rally
<v Speaker 1>the crowd into it. It's like they're begging them to
<v Speaker 1>get involved here and just make noise. And that tells you, again,
<v Speaker 1>just how invested they are in this, which is to
<v Speaker 1>say they're not. And by the way, Nikki lost this match.
<v Speaker 1>So does she still get her WWE championship match in
<v Speaker 1>two weeks? I would hope not. She can't beat Paige.
<v Speaker 1>Why is she wrestling Chelsea Green? But I guess she's
<v Speaker 1>going to get a title match anyway. Maybe they'll add
<v Speaker 1>Paige and they'll make it a triple threat. We got
<v Speaker 1>a recap with highlights of the men's Money in the
<v Speaker 1>Bank ladder match. Penta winning at the end. Then we
<v Speaker 1>cut back live to the trainer's room. Kevin Owens is
<v Speaker 1>sitting in there with Nick Aldis. And he said, you know,
<v Speaker 1>because he asked him, how are you feeling? And he said, well,
<v Speaker 1>you know, my knee and my shoulder aren't the best,
<v Speaker 1>but my neck is good. And even though I didn't
<v Speaker 1>win the briefcase, neither did CM Punk. And he had
<v Speaker 1>said coming into that show on Saturday that his goal
<v Speaker 1>was to make sure, even more than winning it himself,
<v Speaker 1>was just to make sure that CM Punk did not
<v Speaker 1>leave money in the bank with that briefcase. So he
<v Speaker 1>seemed to be in a pretty good mood. So that
<v Speaker 1>brought in CM Punk, and he asked Aldis, put me
<v Speaker 1>in the ring with this piece of garbage. Aldis said, look,
<v Speaker 1>I need you both to be 100%. And he said,
<v Speaker 1>either of them fighting in different parts of the building,
<v Speaker 1>other than inside the ring where he can sell tickets,
<v Speaker 1>that does nothing for him. So until then, they need
<v Speaker 1>to stay out of each other's way. And Owens said, well,
<v Speaker 1>if he would just stop following me around. And Owens left.
<v Speaker 1>And then from off camera, he threw something at Punk.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what it was, but it went sailing
<v Speaker 1>past them. And then Punk looked at all this and
<v Speaker 1>just said, children. And see, I got that reference. I
<v Speaker 1>understood that reference. So then we had Damian Priest and
<v Speaker 1>we had R-Truth in their epic encounter after Damian Priest
<v Speaker 1>turned on R-Truth. Let's see, what is today? October 16th.
<v Speaker 1>So he turned on him over a month ago in
<v Speaker 1>Mexico City. And so this was the big confrontation, the
<v Speaker 1>big clash here between former tag team partners. Truth was
<v Speaker 1>out first, then Priest. Truth didn't even let him get
<v Speaker 1>into the ring before he dove out onto him. 54
<v Speaker 1>years old, he's still diving. But then Priest gained control.
<v Speaker 1>And at one point here, now this whole thing, by
<v Speaker 1>the way, went three minutes. So it's not like this
<v Speaker 1>went very long. Priest gained control. And he caught Truth
<v Speaker 1>with a back elbow. Truth was up against the ropes.
<v Speaker 1>And he catches him with his back elbow. And it
<v Speaker 1>looked like it really rocked him. It looked like he
<v Speaker 1>legit caught him in the jaw. And given what happened
<v Speaker 1>immediately after this, I'm actually wondering if this is kind
<v Speaker 1>of where Truth's downfall may have begun. Maybe he did
<v Speaker 1>get his bell rung here. Because it looked like that
<v Speaker 1>shot caught him flush. Then he dropped him with a flatliner.
<v Speaker 1>Priest then charged in at Truth in the corner. Truth
<v Speaker 1>moved and Priest hit the post instead. And then R-Truth,
<v Speaker 1>he was okay enough to climb up to the top
<v Speaker 1>rope and he delivers a missile dropkick at 54 years old.
<v Speaker 1>And we usually don't see him on the top rope
<v Speaker 1>even when he was 20 years younger in WWE. It
<v Speaker 1>wasn't like he was always going to the top rope.
<v Speaker 1>So 54 years old, he comes off the top rope
<v Speaker 1>with a missile dropkick and he did not get up.
<v Speaker 1>He picked his head up. He wanted to get up,
<v Speaker 1>like they were going to move on to the next spot,
<v Speaker 1>and he just couldn't get up. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>he got his bell rung on the landing, because he
<v Speaker 1>landed pretty hard. Maybe he hurt his neck. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if he knocked the wind out of himself. Whatever
<v Speaker 1>it was, he was obviously hurt in some way. And
<v Speaker 1>he was communicating with the referee. Referee then went over
<v Speaker 1>to tell Priest what was going on. Priest is talking
<v Speaker 1>to him, and then the referee throws up the dreaded X.
<v Speaker 1>And they call for the bell. The match has been
<v Speaker 1>called off. And no, that was not the way it
<v Speaker 1>was supposed to go down. And I know False Finish
<v Speaker 1>is reporting that there was a different finish that was planned.
<v Speaker 1>But you just watch this and you could tell. Like,
<v Speaker 1>this is a shoot. He got hurt. They called the
<v Speaker 1>match off. This is not an angle. This is not
<v Speaker 1>a work. The match was not supposed to be over
<v Speaker 1>in three minutes. And so, unfortunately, it came to an
<v Speaker 1>end very abruptly. Priest goes outside the ring. And he
<v Speaker 1>grabs a chair, brings it into the ring. They sent
<v Speaker 1>Fraxium out there. And it's entirely possible that when they
<v Speaker 1>eventually were going to get to the real finish, that
<v Speaker 1>would have happened anyway. But they send Fraxium out to
<v Speaker 1>the ring to prevent him from doing any further damage.
<v Speaker 1>And that was that. And so it was an unfortunate
<v Speaker 1>ending to this. I hope truth is okay in whatever happened.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing serious. Maybe it's best to eliminate stuff like missile
<v Speaker 1>dropkicks off the top rope. It's not like he has
<v Speaker 1>to be doing that stuff. If he stays grounded on
<v Speaker 1>his feet, people are going to love Truth anyway, no
<v Speaker 1>matter what, all the same. He doesn't have to be
<v Speaker 1>doing stuff like that. But hopefully he's okay. We got
<v Speaker 1>video that aired of last week's segment with Gunther and Danhausen,
<v Speaker 1>who are now feuding with each other. They've been feuding
<v Speaker 1>for weeks. But it all came to a head last week.
<v Speaker 1>And Gunther, and again, I didn't see SmackDown Live. So
<v Speaker 1>I came home and Ran through SmackDown, you know, early
<v Speaker 1>the next morning. And I took great pleasure watching Gunther
<v Speaker 1>come out here. The bell never rang. It was never
<v Speaker 1>an official match. And he put up beating on Dan Howe.
<v Speaker 1>He beat the piss out of this guy. I said, okay,
<v Speaker 1>this is a good payoff to this. After weeks of
<v Speaker 1>this guy hanging around Dan Howe's. And the one true,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, outside of truth, I guess. The one true
<v Speaker 1>comedy character on this show. He's showing him... Why he
<v Speaker 1>is not one to be fucked with, right? So he's
<v Speaker 1>put a beating on this man. Finn Balor came out
<v Speaker 1>to try to make the save. So now we come
<v Speaker 1>backstage live. Gunther was in Nick Aldis' office. We couldn't
<v Speaker 1>see Aldis anywhere, but I guess he was supposed to
<v Speaker 1>be sitting there. And Gunther is going on and on
<v Speaker 1>about this, that, and the other. And, you know, explaining
<v Speaker 1>that he did him a favor last week when he
<v Speaker 1>destroyed Dan Housen. Now, he thought he was talking to
<v Speaker 1>Nick Aldis. All we could see is that there was
<v Speaker 1>somebody sitting in the, like, office chair. We saw the
<v Speaker 1>top of their head. Their back was turned, so we
<v Speaker 1>couldn't see exactly who it was. But then the person
<v Speaker 1>spins around, and it's Danhausen. And he's in a neck collar.
<v Speaker 1>Not even a neck brace. He's in, like, a full
<v Speaker 1>fucking neck collar. I think he had his arm in
<v Speaker 1>a sling after the beating he took. He told Gunther
<v Speaker 1>he needed to be healed up for Halloween. And Gunther
<v Speaker 1>told him, well... I'll make it a very special Halloween
<v Speaker 1>for you. He shoved him down, and then he walked off. Now,
<v Speaker 1>Halloween is on a Saturday this year, so that Friday,
<v Speaker 1>the night before, is SmackDown, so I guess that'll be
<v Speaker 1>the Halloween edition of SmackDown. And there'll be something going on.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it'll be an official match or
<v Speaker 1>what it's going to be. Didn't look like he was
<v Speaker 1>in any condition to be cleared for a match anytime soon,
<v Speaker 1>but they're going to continue this story. And there's been
<v Speaker 1>a lot of discourse about this Gunther creative on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>In fact, there was a report. Was it WrestleVotes? I
<v Speaker 1>believe it was. I saw it floating around this morning
<v Speaker 1>that there are even people within WWE that are questioning
<v Speaker 1>this creative, this creative direction that they have given to Gunther.
<v Speaker 1>This being the man who retired John Cena. This being
<v Speaker 1>the man who retired AJ Styles. Two of the biggest
<v Speaker 1>names in the history of the business. And they gave
<v Speaker 1>Gunther honor of being the career killer and being the
<v Speaker 1>man to give them their final match and it's very
<v Speaker 1>clear that they had absolutely no follow up plan for
<v Speaker 1>Gunther none in the moment it was a great idea
<v Speaker 1>hey we'll give this guy some rub he's going to
<v Speaker 1>be rubbing shoulders with these legends and put more heat
<v Speaker 1>on him he'll be such a big heel my god
<v Speaker 1>this is going to be great and so they did
<v Speaker 1>it now it's kind of like when the dog catches
<v Speaker 1>the car Once you do that, it's like, well, now
<v Speaker 1>what do I do? It's like, you know, Coyote vs. Acme,
<v Speaker 1>the John Cena movie, came out this summer. And it's like,
<v Speaker 1>the Roadrunner has spent years tormenting the Coyote. And the
<v Speaker 1>Coyote just cannot catch the Roadrunner. Now let's say one
<v Speaker 1>day he does. He catches the fucking Roadrunner and cooks
<v Speaker 1>him up and eats him. He's going to wake up
<v Speaker 1>the next day and he's going to be like, shit,
<v Speaker 1>what do I do now? I lost my meal ticket.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what I'm... supposed to do. And that,
<v Speaker 1>I think, is very similar to what we have here
<v Speaker 1>with Gunther, where they gave him this, you know, these
<v Speaker 1>two big matches. And going into WrestleMania this year, they
<v Speaker 1>had nothing for this man to really do. And that
<v Speaker 1>was WrestleMania. Now it's October. He's feuding with Dan Housen.
<v Speaker 1>It's okay to try something a little bit different with Gunther.
<v Speaker 1>And I see here in this case, they're trying to
<v Speaker 1>go the comedic route where one guy is ha ha
<v Speaker 1>and all goofy and the other guy is just straight
<v Speaker 1>laced and dead serious. And I'm not even saying that
<v Speaker 1>there may not be some entertaining television that could come
<v Speaker 1>out of it. What I'm saying is I agree with
<v Speaker 1>a lot of these people who are like, why would
<v Speaker 1>you invest that much in Gunther and give him that
<v Speaker 1>level of equity? To have him floundering for most of
<v Speaker 1>this year. Again, the year is almost over. If you
<v Speaker 1>look at this year in totality, and look at what
<v Speaker 1>Gunther has done, it has not been his best year.
<v Speaker 1>And he can't always be the focal point, right? Or
<v Speaker 1>else that gets boring. But that also doesn't mean you
<v Speaker 1>just kind of, oh, you know what, we'll do something
<v Speaker 1>with him and Danhausen. And we'll drag this out for
<v Speaker 1>a while. Okay. But it doesn't explain what was their
<v Speaker 1>plan coming out of the AJ Styles match at the
<v Speaker 1>Royal Rumble. What was the plan? Do you mean to
<v Speaker 1>tell me that as protected as Gunther has been largely
<v Speaker 1>for his WWE main roster run and for those two
<v Speaker 1>big matches, they had nothing? They didn't sit in a
<v Speaker 1>room one day and say, okay, this guy is important enough.
<v Speaker 1>We should probably try to map out like the next
<v Speaker 1>six months what we want to be doing with him.
<v Speaker 1>And let's come up with something really fruitful and productive.
<v Speaker 1>Because we don't want to squander what we have created here.
<v Speaker 1>We put all this heat on this man. We don't
<v Speaker 1>want to squander that. It's exactly what they've done. Out
<v Speaker 1>the window. Goodbye. All gone. My question isn't even what's
<v Speaker 1>going to happen when he wrestles Danhaus. And my question
<v Speaker 1>is when this feud runs its course, do they have
<v Speaker 1>an idea for him? Or are they still flying blind?
<v Speaker 1>It was very telling when John Cena, he's done so
<v Speaker 1>many interviews recently. Maybe it was Busted Open. In fact,
<v Speaker 1>I think it was when he was on Busted Open
<v Speaker 1>a few weeks ago. And he was asked about this.
<v Speaker 1>And I thought his answer was very telling. Now, John
<v Speaker 1>Cena speaks in this very corporate, robotic way. And John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>more than anyone else I've ever seen in terms of mainstream,
<v Speaker 1>big WWE stars, and Cody is very much like this.
<v Speaker 1>But Cena is like the master of it, where he
<v Speaker 1>can do an interview. Or if there's a question maybe
<v Speaker 1>he really doesn't want to answer... the way that people
<v Speaker 1>want him to answer it, he'll give you an answer
<v Speaker 1>where he'll have all of these things to say, and
<v Speaker 1>at the same time, he says nothing at all. Cody
<v Speaker 1>is also very good at that. But in this case,
<v Speaker 1>it was very telling, the answer that Cena gave, where
<v Speaker 1>he all but came out and said, you know what,
<v Speaker 1>all these people who were upset that, you know, they
<v Speaker 1>wasted Gunther, and maybe they're right, right? He wasn't disagreeing
<v Speaker 1>with them. Because in his mind, he knows they're right.
<v Speaker 1>He knows they're right. And when he shared the ring
<v Speaker 1>with Gunther in December last year, I think if he
<v Speaker 1>had a sense of what they were going to be
<v Speaker 1>doing with him, maybe he would have spoken up and said, hey,
<v Speaker 1>take good care of this guy here. We're setting him
<v Speaker 1>up for big things here next year. Don't waste it.
<v Speaker 1>That's exactly what they've done. And so now we have this.
<v Speaker 1>Then we had Alexa Bliss and we had Tatum Paxley.
<v Speaker 1>the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. They made their
<v Speaker 1>way to the ring. They showed footage of their win
<v Speaker 1>from last week. Alexa said that the one person who
<v Speaker 1>wanted to be in that match last week was Charlotte Flair.
<v Speaker 1>She was very much looking for, it was supposed to
<v Speaker 1>be Charlotte and Tatum challenging for those titles. And Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>got attacked by Jade, which I thought we were done
<v Speaker 1>with this shit, but apparently not. She got attacked by
<v Speaker 1>Jade and the baddies in the back and she was
<v Speaker 1>unable to get cleared and wrestle. And so she basically
<v Speaker 1>begged Alexa to take her place. And that's how we
<v Speaker 1>ended up with Alexa and Tatum as the tag team
<v Speaker 1>champions and not Charlotte. Bliss called her an amazing friend,
<v Speaker 1>complimented her for putting aside her title ambitions for friendship.
<v Speaker 1>She said that she was proud of Tatum as well
<v Speaker 1>for getting her first title win on SmackDown. And as
<v Speaker 1>I mentioned at the beginning of this review, it was
<v Speaker 1>during this segment. I'm watching the show and there's a
<v Speaker 1>dude in the front row on the left-hand side whose
<v Speaker 1>eyes are very noticeably closed. And he is sleeping during
<v Speaker 1>this show. He's nodding off. He's counting sheep during this show.
<v Speaker 1>For the thousands of dollars that he may have, unless
<v Speaker 1>he has a connection or something, for the thousands of
<v Speaker 1>dollars that he paid for that seat, he is sitting
<v Speaker 1>there getting, I hope, the best sleep that money could
<v Speaker 1>pay for. But I was like, that right there, in
<v Speaker 1>a nutshell, is a perfect description of SmackDown tonight. Right there,
<v Speaker 1>in that guy. And then Tatum Paxley and Alexa are talking,
<v Speaker 1>and they're interrupted by Fatal Influence. And Jay-Z and Lanie
<v Speaker 1>Reed and Fallon Henley, they walk out in the aisle,
<v Speaker 1>and they're cutting a promo, and thankfully this guy woke up.
<v Speaker 1>And I should also mention that Paxley... thanked Charlotte for
<v Speaker 1>giving up her position that she could still have her
<v Speaker 1>title match. And I'm very confused by this. The way
<v Speaker 1>that they were talking about it, and even Corey Graves
<v Speaker 1>on commentary, the way he was talking about it, and
<v Speaker 1>this is obviously how they told him to address this.
<v Speaker 1>So this is coming from WWE. But the way they
<v Speaker 1>talked about it was, you would think that Alexa stepped
<v Speaker 1>in to, like, basically replace, I don't know, it was
<v Speaker 1>very weird. Like it was Alexa who replaced Charlotte, not Tatum.
<v Speaker 1>It's like you would hear this and think that Tatum
<v Speaker 1>got the opportunity because Charlotte couldn't wrestle and therefore, hey,
<v Speaker 1>take my spot. That's not how it happened, right? I
<v Speaker 1>think it was the other way where it was Alexa
<v Speaker 1>who took her spot, but that's how they were talking
<v Speaker 1>about it. So anyway, Tatum said that Charlotte would have
<v Speaker 1>a very special gift waiting for her when she gets back.
<v Speaker 1>But fatal influence comes out and they told them, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the party's over. Party's over, Grandpa. Just made me think
<v Speaker 1>of that segment. So she said she complained about Tiffany
<v Speaker 1>Stratton stealing what should have been her briefcase. Lainey Reed
<v Speaker 1>said it's obvious that Paxley is a weirdo that Charlotte
<v Speaker 1>barely tolerates. And the only reason Charlotte is even their
<v Speaker 1>friend is because it's convenient for her. They said once
<v Speaker 1>they lose the tag belt, they're going to go right
<v Speaker 1>back to being in her shadow. So Paxley said that
<v Speaker 1>if you want to try to get your titles back,
<v Speaker 1>we don't mind playing with you. And Laney and Henley attacked,
<v Speaker 1>and the champions got the better of them, and they
<v Speaker 1>sent them out to the floor. So, I mean, pretty
<v Speaker 1>pedestrian stuff here. Again, this is just, I'm that dude
<v Speaker 1>in the front row. You know, like, this is just
<v Speaker 1>not exciting television. Okay, it's fine. They're setting up a
<v Speaker 1>rematch between Fatal Influence and the two of them. Great.
<v Speaker 1>What is happening in the women's division on SmackDown right
<v Speaker 1>now that is truly interesting? I guess maybe you could
<v Speaker 1>say the idea that Tiffany has a briefcase now and
<v Speaker 1>her best friend has the belt and what's going to
<v Speaker 1>happen there, which again is the same fucking story they
<v Speaker 1>did with Tiffany two years ago. They're going to run
<v Speaker 1>it back again. What else is going on right now
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown in the women's division that you can honestly say, hey,
<v Speaker 1>this is really good? Well, this is really exciting stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I'm looking forward to this. Nothing. Nothing. We go backstage.
<v Speaker 1>Ray Phoenix was interviewed. He was asked about Penta winning
<v Speaker 1>money in the bank. Sammy Zane walked up. He was
<v Speaker 1>being all friendly and all chummy to Ray Phoenix, talking
<v Speaker 1>Spanish to him. He said, have you had the chance
<v Speaker 1>to talk to your brother at all? Ray said, no.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy said, I know better than anybody what Penta went
<v Speaker 1>through losing to Roman Reigns in his home country. And
<v Speaker 1>Phoenix said, look, I have no idea if my brother
<v Speaker 1>is going to cash in on Roman Reigns or if
<v Speaker 1>my brother is going to cash in on you. So
<v Speaker 1>Sammy was doing some recon here. He was trying to
<v Speaker 1>get the latest update of what Penta's plans are with
<v Speaker 1>that briefcase. We had the AAA Cruiserweight Championship on the
<v Speaker 1>line here in this next match. It was Ray Phoenix,
<v Speaker 1>who again had a fucking great match with Chad Gable
<v Speaker 1>on Monday night. Just fantastic stuff. This time he was
<v Speaker 1>defending against Ricky Saints. Finally, something worthwhile here on this
<v Speaker 1>television show. So on the top rope, Phoenix connected with
<v Speaker 1>a frog splash for a near fall. Saints then caught
<v Speaker 1>him with a Death Valley driver for two. Phoenix brought
<v Speaker 1>Saints down from the top with an avalanche Hurricane Rana.
<v Speaker 1>And then he went to go back up top. Saints
<v Speaker 1>gets up and he shoves referee Charles Robbins, very blatantly,
<v Speaker 1>shoves the referee into the ropes. Phoenix gets crotched on top.
<v Speaker 1>So then he connects with the Rochambeau and he's got
<v Speaker 1>the belt won. Turns him over, he covers Phoenix, and
<v Speaker 1>Charles Robinson refuses to count. And Saints gets up and he's,
<v Speaker 1>you know, he's livid and he's shouting at the referee.
<v Speaker 1>And Robinson is shouting back at him. I know what
<v Speaker 1>you did. You put your hands on me. And he
<v Speaker 1>calls for the bell. He disqualifies Ricky Saints. And they
<v Speaker 1>announce that the winner by disqualification and still champion is
<v Speaker 1>Ray Phoenix. And this only pissed him off even more,
<v Speaker 1>and so Saints goes on the attack, hits another Rochambeau.
<v Speaker 1>It was a lame finish, but, you know, I mean, look,
<v Speaker 1>the reason it was lame is because we see far
<v Speaker 1>worse on these shows every single week, and these referees
<v Speaker 1>don't do a fucking thing. So in this case, it's like, okay, really?
<v Speaker 1>They don't apply the rules consistently. It's, in the big picture...
<v Speaker 1>It's nitpicking, it's a minor thing, and in the grand scheme,
<v Speaker 1>of course, this shit doesn't matter, and that's why they
<v Speaker 1>don't give a shit about it. You think they care? Oh, well,
<v Speaker 1>we can't do that because fans may not like the
<v Speaker 1>fact that we're not applying the rules evenly, right? They
<v Speaker 1>don't give a fuck. They don't care. But still, it's
<v Speaker 1>like every now and then, you would have this angle.
<v Speaker 1>The one I always remember, it was some Alberto Del
<v Speaker 1>Rio match where they went under the ring and they
<v Speaker 1>pulled out some monitors and the referees that were like
<v Speaker 1>fucking football referees are like huddled outside looking at the
<v Speaker 1>instant replay of something that happened. I'm like, since when
<v Speaker 1>is there fucking instant replay where the ref, the referees
<v Speaker 1>are huddling around these monitors and they're overturning their decision.
<v Speaker 1>And they did that like once. And then they never
<v Speaker 1>did it again. And that's kind of what this reminded
<v Speaker 1>me of. Cause you know, the next time something like
<v Speaker 1>this happens on one of these shows, the match is
<v Speaker 1>not going to get thrown out. And I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>look back and go, Hey, wait a minute. Didn't they
<v Speaker 1>apply the rules differently that one time on SmackDown against,
<v Speaker 1>you know, the Rey Fenix match? And I'm going to go, oh, well,
<v Speaker 1>I guess it doesn't matter. So it was lame for
<v Speaker 1>that reason, but obviously it's just finding a way to
<v Speaker 1>extend their feud. There'll be another match. This was their
<v Speaker 1>way of putting heat on Ricky Sainz. You know, he
<v Speaker 1>beats up Rey Fenix. People like Rey Fenix. And we
<v Speaker 1>set up for the next match. But up until that point,
<v Speaker 1>I thought it was a solid match. So we go
<v Speaker 1>backstage and we see Cody Rhodes. He's walking through the
<v Speaker 1>hallway and I don't know if I'm the only one
<v Speaker 1>who was kind of amused by this, but he's walking
<v Speaker 1>through the back and on the wall. It was almost like, um,
<v Speaker 1>cause he was, he was in the hallway walking into
<v Speaker 1>another room. So it was like, I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>it was like a dividing wall, but they basically, uh,
<v Speaker 1>glued an iPad to the wall and they had Cody's
<v Speaker 1>logo on the iPad. And that was sort of for
<v Speaker 1>decorative purposes in the background, like in the middle of nowhere,
<v Speaker 1>in the middle of this fucking hallway. Oh, let's stick
<v Speaker 1>an iPad on the wall. We'll put Cody's logo on there.
<v Speaker 1>So he walks in, he sees Nick Aldis and Aldis says,
<v Speaker 1>I haven't seen Randy Orton all day. What a terrible
<v Speaker 1>general manager. Terrible. Multiple, multiple, multiple, last-minute matches, you know,
<v Speaker 1>impromptu matches added to this show. You've advertised a face-off
<v Speaker 1>between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton all week, all day.
<v Speaker 1>You're in the last 15 minutes of the show, and
<v Speaker 1>the GM is like, gee, I don't know. I haven't
<v Speaker 1>seen Randy all day. What a fucking terrible general manager. Like,
<v Speaker 1>what does he do all week? I've said this before. Like,
<v Speaker 1>what do these people do all week that we get
<v Speaker 1>to TV and you have two, three, four matches that
<v Speaker 1>were not planned that all of a sudden are now
<v Speaker 1>on the show? People that you advertise, they haven't shown
<v Speaker 1>up yet. You got 10 minutes left. My goodness. See,
<v Speaker 1>Jack Tunney would never allow this. Gorilla Monsoon would never
<v Speaker 1>allow this. Commissioner Foley would never allow this. This is
<v Speaker 1>just awful. Awful. But the closing segment is up next,
<v Speaker 1>so he better show up. Cody was out to the ring,
<v Speaker 1>and he was in no mood. Brought a chair into
<v Speaker 1>the ring. This is a big week for Cody. The
<v Speaker 1>only positive reviews that I've actually seen for this Street
<v Speaker 1>Fighter movie are from people who are actually praising the
<v Speaker 1>performance of Cody Rhodes as Guile. They said Cody just
<v Speaker 1>gets it. His comedic timing, like he's really good apparently
<v Speaker 1>in this movie. There's not much else that's really good
<v Speaker 1>about this movie based on what I'm reading. I'll wait
<v Speaker 1>for it to come out on streaming. Because I was
<v Speaker 1>going to go see it and I'm like, eh. I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't moved. I'll wait for it to hit streaming and
<v Speaker 1>then we'll watch Street Fighter. I did enjoy Mortal Kombat 2, though,
<v Speaker 1>earlier this year. I thought that was fun. So Cody
<v Speaker 1>is sitting in the ring. He said, look, we were
<v Speaker 1>promised a face-to-face, and he's not leaving until Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>comes out. So then out comes not Randy Orton. Out
<v Speaker 1>comes a different bald superstar, Baron Corbin. As if this
<v Speaker 1>show has not been painful enough, we are setting up
<v Speaker 1>a Cody Rhodes, Baron Corbin segment now here at the
<v Speaker 1>end of the show. He said the more things change,
<v Speaker 1>the more they stay the same. Because Cody was back
<v Speaker 1>in the ring whining about something. Now it's all about
<v Speaker 1>how Randy Orton doesn't think he has that killer instinct.
<v Speaker 1>And it's okay. Because some people don't have it. Others
<v Speaker 1>are born with it. He said he enjoys hurting people. Cody, meanwhile,
<v Speaker 1>is far too concerned about being a good guy. So
<v Speaker 1>he said nothing else matters except him getting back to
<v Speaker 1>where he belongs. And that would happen at Cody's expense.
<v Speaker 1>Cody said, look, I don't have the patience for this.
<v Speaker 1>And he sent Corbin out of the ring. And then
<v Speaker 1>he demanded a referee come out for a match. Another
<v Speaker 1>impromptu match. And so we got Cody in combat in
<v Speaker 1>his street clothes. But first, a commercial. Because we still had,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, what, 12 minutes left in the show?
<v Speaker 1>There was enough time left in the show you knew
<v Speaker 1>they were going to commercial. So they joined the main
<v Speaker 1>event already in progress. Corbin caught Cody with a deep
<v Speaker 1>six for a near fall. Cody came back, hit the
<v Speaker 1>snap power slam, disaster kick that left Corbin reeling. And
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what he was setting up for. Cody
<v Speaker 1>was up against the ropes. I guess he was setting
<v Speaker 1>up maybe for a crossroads, but then he gets tripped
<v Speaker 1>up by Randy Orton, who shows up. He pulls him
<v Speaker 1>out of the ring. The bell rings. Another disqualification. Orton
<v Speaker 1>attacks Cody all around ringside. He slams him on the
<v Speaker 1>announce desk. So Orton ends up planting Cody on the desk.
<v Speaker 1>He sends him face first into the ring post. And
<v Speaker 1>then they get back in the ring. And Orton is
<v Speaker 1>setting him up for a punt kick. Cody moves. And
<v Speaker 1>then it looked like Orton, he got Orton down. It
<v Speaker 1>looked like Orton was going to be on the receiving
<v Speaker 1>end of a punt himself. And Cody, his shirt's like
<v Speaker 1>half torn. And he's, you see this little wild look
<v Speaker 1>in his eyes, and he's backing up into the corner,
<v Speaker 1>and he's setting up for it, right? Everything that Randy
<v Speaker 1>Orton's been saying about him, you can't do it. You
<v Speaker 1>don't have the killer instinct. Basically, you don't have the
<v Speaker 1>balls to do it. Guile. So he backs up into
<v Speaker 1>the corner. Before he could actually hit the punt, though,
<v Speaker 1>here comes Baron Corbin to ruin the day and ruin
<v Speaker 1>the segment, and he attacks Cody. Goes for an end
<v Speaker 1>of day. Meanwhile, Orton rolls out to safety. So Corbin
<v Speaker 1>goes for the end of days, and Cody basically flips
<v Speaker 1>out of it. And he drops him with a Cody cutter.
<v Speaker 1>And he sees that Corbin is on his knees. And
<v Speaker 1>so Cody backs up into the corner. And he's setting
<v Speaker 1>up for it. And he delivers a punt kick to
<v Speaker 1>Baron Corbin. And Randy Orton is selling the shit out
<v Speaker 1>of this. He's looking on. He's like... got his hand
<v Speaker 1>over his mouth. He's like looking on in horror at
<v Speaker 1>what he just saw. And the fans were so horrified
<v Speaker 1>as well by what they saw that they broke out
<v Speaker 1>into a chant of one more time, one more time.
<v Speaker 1>They were ready for Baron Corbin to be written off
<v Speaker 1>this television show, which basically is what they did tonight.
<v Speaker 1>Even just with the one kick, they wrote him off.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think we're going to see him for a
<v Speaker 1>while now, like a while. They probably have no plans
<v Speaker 1>for him. Because it's very clear why they brought him
<v Speaker 1>back and why they brought back Big Cass. Now that
<v Speaker 1>a few months have gone by, it's very clear what
<v Speaker 1>the intent was there, which was not to bring them
<v Speaker 1>back to, like, push them in any meaningful way, even
<v Speaker 1>though they put the U.S. title on Corbin. The reason
<v Speaker 1>was they wanted to give Trick Williams some adversity in
<v Speaker 1>Baron Corbin, right? You can't figure this guy out. Corbin
<v Speaker 1>beat him once. Corbin beat him twice. Corbin took his belt.
<v Speaker 1>Now Trick has to work to get the belt back.
<v Speaker 1>It was all about Trick. It was all about putting
<v Speaker 1>over Trick in the end, doing the cage match. Every
<v Speaker 1>step of the way, everything that you saw was an
<v Speaker 1>effort to get Trick Williams that much more over. And
<v Speaker 1>that's fine as long as you recognize what the whole
<v Speaker 1>purpose of bringing this man back was in the first place.
<v Speaker 1>On Raw with Big Cass, he lost to Dragon Lee.
<v Speaker 1>He lost to Rey Mysterio. That one is a head scratcher.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure why that was necessary on Monday. And
<v Speaker 1>so we'll see where he ends up going, but They've
<v Speaker 1>been using him to, because he's one of the physically
<v Speaker 1>biggest guys, if not the biggest guy on that roster.
<v Speaker 1>And if they can use someone like that to help
<v Speaker 1>elevate some of the smaller or newer talents, then okay,
<v Speaker 1>let's bring this guy in and let's have him, you know,
<v Speaker 1>help try to elevate some other people. Very clear that's
<v Speaker 1>what their roles are. Now that Corbin's been punted, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. Maybe they punted him back to NXT. I
<v Speaker 1>guess time will tell. So again, it's a simple story here,
<v Speaker 1>as I said. earlier between Cody and Randy very easy
<v Speaker 1>to follow it's not a bad story and they're trying
<v Speaker 1>to fix the mess that was created earlier this year
<v Speaker 1>because you had 20 years of history to draw from
<v Speaker 1>with these two You had kept them apart as opponents
<v Speaker 1>the entire time since Cody came back to the company.
<v Speaker 1>And finally, we were going to get Randy Orton and
<v Speaker 1>Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. And then Ari Emanuel said, not
<v Speaker 1>so fast. I got a better idea. And fucked the
<v Speaker 1>whole thing up. So now they get to work the
<v Speaker 1>angle they probably wanted to do earlier this year. And
<v Speaker 1>it's all building up to that moment where Cody is
<v Speaker 1>going to punt kick Orton in the head. And I
<v Speaker 1>assume win at the end of this feud. Go heel?
<v Speaker 1>Probably not. It doesn't feel like they're actually going to
<v Speaker 1>do that. Either they don't have the balls to do it,
<v Speaker 1>or Cody just doesn't want to do it. But whatever
<v Speaker 1>the case may be, it's pretty clear to me we're
<v Speaker 1>not looking at heel Cody at the end of all this.
<v Speaker 1>I think, if anything, there is this belief. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>Roman and Oba seems like the clear direction for the
<v Speaker 1>World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania. I mean, a fucking blind
<v Speaker 1>man could see that. Cody and Punk also, maybe less so,
<v Speaker 1>but still feels like an obvious potential direction for the
<v Speaker 1>other belt at WrestleMania because they did the one match
<v Speaker 1>at SummerSlam, and then they got away from it. And
<v Speaker 1>I've said this before, where if they're going to go
<v Speaker 1>back to that, if they want to go back to
<v Speaker 1>Cody and Punk, first of all, it would have to
<v Speaker 1>mean that one of them would need the belt back
<v Speaker 1>before WrestleMania. Otherwise, it doesn't make any sense. But if
<v Speaker 1>that was to be the direction in Riyadh next year,
<v Speaker 1>To me, it only works if one of them goes
<v Speaker 1>in this time as the clearly defined heel. No more
<v Speaker 1>of this babyface versus babyface stuff. And of the two,
<v Speaker 1>I think that person should be Cody. I just don't
<v Speaker 1>know if they have the guts to do it. But
<v Speaker 1>they're certainly not going to be doing it now. So
<v Speaker 1>the closing angle, it was fine. It was fine. Not
<v Speaker 1>terribly exciting, but it was fine. The rest of the show,
<v Speaker 1>the show on the whole was fucking garbage. tonight. This
<v Speaker 1>show was garbage. It's just a slog of a television
<v Speaker 1>show to sit through. SmackDown is, it's just, it's awful.
<v Speaker 1>It's just bad. It's a bad show. And I want
<v Speaker 1>to see it get better. There have been moments where
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown has gotten my attention and excited me. And I said, wow,
<v Speaker 1>it's rare. It's like seeing a shooting star in the sky.
<v Speaker 1>But you get a good SmackDown every now and then.
<v Speaker 1>They're just so inconsistent with it, and there's far more
<v Speaker 1>bad than good. And after talking about it at the
<v Speaker 1>beginning of this review, I myself am getting very scared
<v Speaker 1>that we are inching closer to January, and we're going
<v Speaker 1>to get three hours of this shit again. I can
<v Speaker 1>barely tolerate two hours of this, and we're going to
<v Speaker 1>get three. With this creative. That's a scary thought. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>happy Halloween, everybody. That's fucking scary. That was SmackDown. There
<v Speaker 1>you go. Now, next week, we have a street fight
<v Speaker 1>between Julia and Blake Monroe. We have the MFTs defending
<v Speaker 1>their tag team titles against Boxeye. And we have Alexa
<v Speaker 1>Bliss and Tatum Paxley defending their women's tag team titles,
<v Speaker 1>Get Ready, against Meechan and B-Fab. Can't wait. Sounds like
<v Speaker 1>a real winner of a show next week. Was SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>ever exciting? Yes, believe it or not, there have been
<v Speaker 1>times where SmackDown was actually a good show. I know
<v Speaker 1>it's hard to believe, but I'm here most weeks when
<v Speaker 1>I'm not doing House of Glory. I'm here most weeks
<v Speaker 1>and I see the good when it's there. I see
<v Speaker 1>the bad when it's there. There have been times where
<v Speaker 1>it's good, but Raw is a far more consistent show
<v Speaker 1>than SmackDown is. And it's all the same people. It's
<v Speaker 1>the same creative brain trust. It's still Paul Levesque. And
<v Speaker 1>Bruce and Michael Hayes and whoever those key people are
<v Speaker 1>sitting in these rooms. And believe me, there are weeks
<v Speaker 1>where Raw is a fucking dud too, as it was
<v Speaker 1>for most of the show this week, up until the end.
<v Speaker 1>But Raw to me just feels, and again, it's half
<v Speaker 1>an hour less, sometimes more, because they go off the
<v Speaker 1>air sometimes even earlier than 10.30. And so that helps,
<v Speaker 1>but I just feel like raw is a, on the whole, a, a,
<v Speaker 1>just a better television show than smack that. I just,
<v Speaker 1>I don't, I don't know why. I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>it would feel so one-sided like that. It shouldn't be
<v Speaker 1>that way. Two hours, three hours. It shouldn't matter. Like
<v Speaker 1>when the show went back to being two hours, there
<v Speaker 1>were some people who were like, you know, this is
<v Speaker 1>going to be a terrible thing because it's going to
<v Speaker 1>take TV time away from certain people. And the shows
<v Speaker 1>need to be three out. And I like, It drives
<v Speaker 1>me nuts when I hear people say that. Oh, it
<v Speaker 1>needs to be three hours. No, it doesn't. And you're
<v Speaker 1>part of the problem, by the way. All the people
<v Speaker 1>who advocate for this. You're responsible for this. You're at
<v Speaker 1>least partially responsible for that. It needs to... No, it doesn't.
<v Speaker 1>The fuck do you mean it needs to be three hours?
<v Speaker 1>I can't tell you how many people that were commenting
<v Speaker 1>like that earlier. Oh, well, you know, we got to
<v Speaker 1>get This person on the show and that person and
<v Speaker 1>that person and that person. You can't do it. You
<v Speaker 1>can't possibly do it in two hours. Like it's impossible
<v Speaker 1>for a good wrestling television show, a good, coherent, entertaining
<v Speaker 1>wrestling television show to take place within a two hour
<v Speaker 1>time frame. Doesn't matter if it's an hour. It's all
<v Speaker 1>in the creative. It's in the talent, obviously, but it's
<v Speaker 1>in the stories. It's in the creative. Can you get
<v Speaker 1>people to invest and care about these characters? And what
<v Speaker 1>are these people doing on these television shows that keep
<v Speaker 1>you coming back for more, that keep you wanting to
<v Speaker 1>see what's going to happen next week? I can't wait
<v Speaker 1>to see this match, or I can't wait to see
<v Speaker 1>what's going to happen. in this storyline. Some people feel
<v Speaker 1>that way now, probably, about the 9-4-6 stuff. There are
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people who are very excited about where
<v Speaker 1>this 9-4-6 thing is going with the bloodline. Good. Why
<v Speaker 1>can't we get something like that on SmackDown? Doesn't matter
<v Speaker 1>what the length of the show is. Who gives a shit?
<v Speaker 1>You've got to give people quality television. It starts with
<v Speaker 1>the stories. It starts with what are you doing with
<v Speaker 1>the pieces that you have available to you. You have
<v Speaker 1>all these puzzle pieces laid out on the table in
<v Speaker 1>front of you, right? Each puzzle piece is a different wrestler.
<v Speaker 1>Where are you going to put them? Some of them fit.
<v Speaker 1>Some of them don't. That's their job. Their job is
<v Speaker 1>to come up with interesting, compelling stories that make the
<v Speaker 1>television show breeze by. You hear it in the reactions
<v Speaker 1>from the fans, right? They're invested in some way. They're booing.
<v Speaker 1>They're cheering. They're making noise of some kind. They're not
<v Speaker 1>sitting there like that guy in the front row dozing off.
<v Speaker 1>We should make him the SmackDown mascot. And it's frustrating
<v Speaker 1>because it doesn't have to be that way. Get these
<v Speaker 1>super chats. See what you guys thought of the show.
<v Speaker 1>Noah Kirby with a five. I wish AEW would go
<v Speaker 1>back to the five pay-per-views a year so they can
<v Speaker 1>give them a better build and get you more excited
<v Speaker 1>for the pay-per-view. Five is probably too few. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>six or seven probably is a better number. They make
<v Speaker 1>too much money on these pay-per-views to revert back to five.
<v Speaker 1>It's not practical. But even if it wasn't for that,
<v Speaker 1>I just feel like you need a little bit more
<v Speaker 1>than that. I don't think they need one every month.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think they need to go to a 10
<v Speaker 1>or 12 schedule. Maybe eight. Maybe that's the perfect number.
<v Speaker 1>But unlike WWE, which got out of the pay-per-view business
<v Speaker 1>a long time ago, they still make millions of dollars
<v Speaker 1>off their pay-per-views. And they have their pay-per-views available through
<v Speaker 1>all different places. HBO Max, PPV.com, YouTube. And they do
<v Speaker 1>well enough that they make a lot of money for them.
<v Speaker 1>Donny Yasu. You can only pick one. Jim Johnston replaces
<v Speaker 1>Def Rebel. Or a great reduction in commercials and advertisements.
<v Speaker 1>You can reduce them, but you're never going to eliminate them.
<v Speaker 1>I think that having better entrance music could actually greatly
<v Speaker 1>enhance some of the characters on the show. Presentation is
<v Speaker 1>so important. I'm not saying the entrance music alone is
<v Speaker 1>the deciding factor in who gets over and who doesn't,
<v Speaker 1>but it helps a lot. And that could be helpful
<v Speaker 1>to multiple different talents on the roster. And my ears, obviously.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm going to bring back our pal Jim Johnston.
<v Speaker 1>And get rid of Def Rebel. And look at Asahi Moonsault.
<v Speaker 1>Holy shit, in the chat just gifted 10 memberships. Look
<v Speaker 1>at all these new members now. Philip Bowman, Joshua Glover,
<v Speaker 1>Frankie Bag of Donuts. We got Moe, we got Samuel,
<v Speaker 1>Super Santana. Thank you, Asahi Moonsault. Super Pony watching Crystal
<v Speaker 1>Lake instead of SmackDown. A wise man. One of the
<v Speaker 1>best decisions I've ever made. Highly recommended if you are
<v Speaker 1>a Friday fan. I will definitely be checking that out.
<v Speaker 1>We got Aaron Ruggiero with a 1999. Look at you
<v Speaker 1>and look at me. Who looks like a joke, Sammy?
<v Speaker 1>Says Trick, the man with a championship covered in fucking fur.
<v Speaker 1>That's what I said. He's talking about somebody else looking
<v Speaker 1>like a joke. Looks like he has mold growing on
<v Speaker 1>his belt. It's like he's got fucking Gandalf around his
<v Speaker 1>waist every time he comes out to the ring. Philip Bowman.
<v Speaker 1>One of our new members. Which Triple H look was weirder?
<v Speaker 1>White boots or colored trunks? Oh, white boots for sure. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean the white boots. The white boots and then
<v Speaker 1>that period in 2003 I guess it would have been.
<v Speaker 1>Where he shaved the beard off. That's a cursed look.
<v Speaker 1>Acai Moonsault with a 1999. Can you explain what in
<v Speaker 1>the hell we just watched? Look at Richie Rich over here.
<v Speaker 1>I said his name and he appeared. Holy shit. I
<v Speaker 1>just want you to know, I think you rock. I
<v Speaker 1>don't mean the rock, a rock. I just said this
<v Speaker 1>man's name. And I just wanted you to know. I
<v Speaker 1>just said this man's name. Oh, my God. Acai Moonsault.
<v Speaker 1>Hold on a second here. Acai Moonsault. With a $ 100
<v Speaker 1>super chat. Solo, it's time. It's time to put SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>in the Dragon Sleeper. It's time to put SmackDown in
<v Speaker 1>the Woodchipper. That's where it's time to put SmackDown. Man,
<v Speaker 1>Asahi Moonsault bombs away. We had Gunther earlier. Now Red Bomb,
<v Speaker 1>those gifted memberships. He's the life of the party tonight,
<v Speaker 1>this guy. Thank you, brother. That means a lot. It's
<v Speaker 1>getting a lot of love in the chat, too. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the biker shorts were weird. Well, the biker shorts were
<v Speaker 1>because he had a torn groin. He kept wrestling with
<v Speaker 1>a torn groin, and I guess he wanted them as
<v Speaker 1>tight as possible to try to help alleviate some of
<v Speaker 1>the pain, and it just was a bad look. It
<v Speaker 1>was a bad look. He should have dropped the belt
<v Speaker 1>to Goldberg in the elimination chamber. And even in the chamber,
<v Speaker 1>he didn't have to carry the load with his injury.
<v Speaker 1>He had five other guys in there. Goldberg should have
<v Speaker 1>won the belt that night, and then Triple H, they
<v Speaker 1>should have given him a little bit of time off
<v Speaker 1>to heal up, let Goldberg run with it for a
<v Speaker 1>few months, and then Triple H, when he was healed,
<v Speaker 1>could come back. We have Carlos Galvan with a 999.
<v Speaker 1>In 2014, you mentioned that you think Randy Orton could
<v Speaker 1>have been Ring of Honor World Champion in a mailbag.
<v Speaker 1>Who are three people from Ring of Honor you would
<v Speaker 1>have loved to see Randy face for the World Championship? Man,
<v Speaker 1>we're going old school with the mailbag questions, huh? 12
<v Speaker 1>years ago. I think Randy Orton against Nigel McGuinness would
<v Speaker 1>have been fucking fantastic. I mean, look, Randy Orton against
<v Speaker 1>Takeshi Morishima from back then would have been a very
<v Speaker 1>interesting match as well. I'm not going to say Rollins
<v Speaker 1>because obviously that ended up happening later on and Danielson too.
<v Speaker 1>The other one I would name would be Samoa Joe.
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton and Samoa Joe, Randy Orton and Nigel McGinnis,
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton and Morishima. All would have been great. And
<v Speaker 1>Carlos says also any you people probos that you like. Yeah. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Probably my favorite you people promo of all time is
<v Speaker 1>when Bret Hart turned heel on Raw after WrestleMania 13.
<v Speaker 1>Talking about all you people and the terrible, shitty American
<v Speaker 1>wrestling fans. Give me back shot Salamonster is here. What
<v Speaker 1>is likelier, LA Knight or the Mets winning a main title?
<v Speaker 1>The Mets. Philip Bowman. I don't want to risk another
<v Speaker 1>Cornette like moment, but WWE can be so frustrating in
<v Speaker 1>a lot of ways. Even a priest would scream. God
<v Speaker 1>damn it. Cornette like moment. What Cornette like moment are
<v Speaker 1>you referring to? There have been so many, uh, the Ufman.
<v Speaker 1>And to think there are some fans out there that
<v Speaker 1>want SmackDown to be three hours. Yeah. Yeah. Those people
<v Speaker 1>are the enemy. They are not to be trusted. Venom
<v Speaker 1>Kitetsu with the 15. Superman Punch. Micromania was fun. Would
<v Speaker 1>go again, but gotta be front row next time. They
<v Speaker 1>have a facility in Vegas and put on shows four
<v Speaker 1>days a week. Worth a look next time you bring
<v Speaker 1>HOG here. Happy weekend. Cheers. See, so he also had
<v Speaker 1>the right idea. He went to Mike. Now, did you
<v Speaker 1>go tonight? Maybe he didn't go tonight. I thought that
<v Speaker 1>meant he went tonight. He went to Micromania instead of SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>I wish I would have gone to Micromania. If I
<v Speaker 1>was there, I would have gone. Could have done a
<v Speaker 1>live stream from Micromania. Did a little mini show. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>we got Asahi Moon. Oh, man, Asahi Moonsault is still...
<v Speaker 1>He's still going crazy. I'm going to get to you
<v Speaker 1>in a second, brother. Robotoaster. Robotoaster, you guys ready for
<v Speaker 1>Ilya to debut tomorrow night? Is he going to? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if he's going to debut tomorrow night. We
<v Speaker 1>got our first teaser for Ilya Dragunov's pending AEW debut
<v Speaker 1>on Wednesday. I didn't take that to mean he's going
<v Speaker 1>to be there on Saturday, though. Asahi Moonsault with a 49.99.
<v Speaker 1>That was one of the earlier bombs. Abyssal Zones. If
<v Speaker 1>Gunther was going to be feuding with Danhausen a year
<v Speaker 1>after retiring John Cena, I would say they should have
<v Speaker 1>given the last Cena match to LA Knight. Yeah, well,
<v Speaker 1>they should have given it to somebody else. It was
<v Speaker 1>never going to be LA Knight. That, that, that, you gotta,
<v Speaker 1>you gotta forget that. The Uffman says, remember the Smackdown
<v Speaker 1>6 era? I do. Hey, look, there was an era
<v Speaker 1>of Smackdown in 2016, right? Around 2016, 2017? Somewhere around there?
<v Speaker 1>That was really good. Jimmy says, Have you watched Late
<v Speaker 1>Night with the Devil? No. I have not. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think I've heard of that one. Asahi Moonsault, again with
<v Speaker 1>that $ 100 bomb, man. You are the man. You are
<v Speaker 1>the man. And then we have KWF The Fish. I
<v Speaker 1>almost went to this show. Took the day off and everything.
<v Speaker 1>Then the promoted matches were Truth Priest and Nikki and Paige.
<v Speaker 1>How was anyone there? I'm just, you know, I'm convinced. Well,
<v Speaker 1>first of all, most of those people bought their tickets,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure, too far in advance to back out now.
<v Speaker 1>But it's just, you know, they're buying it because, hey,
<v Speaker 1>it's WWE. And they just hope they get to see
<v Speaker 1>the big stars and hear the music, you know, for
<v Speaker 1>the main stars. And it's, again, the company is the
<v Speaker 1>attraction now. It's not the talent. But there are some
<v Speaker 1>of these shows that I'll watch and I'll be like,
<v Speaker 1>how the hell do they have 11,000 people in that building?
<v Speaker 1>It just boggles the mind. It doesn't make sense. It
<v Speaker 1>just doesn't make sense sometimes. How are there that many
<v Speaker 1>people sometimes in these buildings for these shows? They're not
<v Speaker 1>really rewarding these fans. And Asahi Moonsault with a 1999.
<v Speaker 1>Can you share some thoughts on the Ultimo Dragons He says, oh, ka-ching,
<v Speaker 1>there he is, and there he goes. Well, before I
<v Speaker 1>answer your question, that right there is another opportunity for
<v Speaker 1>a Be the Booker cash-in. Now, we did break the
<v Speaker 1>400 likes, so we're getting the one round. for sure.
<v Speaker 1>But with that one, if there is a Gunthar bomb
<v Speaker 1>or higher, magenta or higher, that will guarantee one completely
<v Speaker 1>extra bonus additional round above and beyond the one if
<v Speaker 1>there is a cash-in. But to answer your question, thoughts
<v Speaker 1>on Ultimo Dragon, he says he was my favorite years ago.
<v Speaker 1>Ultimo Dragon was awesome, man. Ultimo Dragon, there was a
<v Speaker 1>reason why he was regarded as one of the best
<v Speaker 1>wrestlers in the world for so many years. And then
<v Speaker 1>you had that iconic image of him with all the belts, right?
<v Speaker 1>That's what Mercedes Monet tried to replicate with all the
<v Speaker 1>simultaneous championships hanging off her arms. Yeah, I mean, he
<v Speaker 1>was great. He was great. And I think if different
<v Speaker 1>time and place. But I think if back then, you know,
<v Speaker 1>Vince were to bring somebody like that in and, and
<v Speaker 1>take him more seriously, could have done well there. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>but as things were, I mean, his, if he would
<v Speaker 1>have gone to work for WWF at the time, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>there would have been a ceiling put on him, but
<v Speaker 1>in WCW, I thought he was right. Yeah. Jerry Lawler
<v Speaker 1>loves Gunthar. Of course, of course it's him. All hail Gunthar. Man,
<v Speaker 1>I have taken so many acai moonsaults tonight, I can
<v Speaker 1>barely see straight. But he comes through in the clutch
<v Speaker 1>with another $ 50 Gunthar bomb. Be the booker. Let's fucking go,
<v Speaker 1>he says. Well, we got two rounds now coming our way.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe three. Actually, we're 7 out of 10 on the
<v Speaker 1>bonus goal. We got two for sure. So let's get
<v Speaker 1>into it. Let's not waste any more time here. It
<v Speaker 1>is time to be the Booker. Ladies and gentlemen, it
<v Speaker 1>is now time to be the Booker. Yes, Samurai says, damn,
<v Speaker 1>Asahi Moonsault going in. He really is, man. This guy
<v Speaker 1>is full of high spots tonight. But that's good. I
<v Speaker 1>like it. It makes things more exciting. All right, here
<v Speaker 1>we go. This is always a great way to close
<v Speaker 1>out the week. You want some quality tag team wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>You're about to get it. We have LAX. We have
<v Speaker 1>Mike Santana. We have Ortiz. Call him proud and powerful.
<v Speaker 1>Call him LAX. Call him whatever you want. They are
<v Speaker 1>going to be taking on the Spirit Squad. The Spirit Squad.
<v Speaker 1>Not the team I was hoping to see across the
<v Speaker 1>ring from LAX. Let's see if we can name all
<v Speaker 1>of these guys. I see Kenny. I see Johnny, Mitch, Mikey,
<v Speaker 1>and Nicky. Hey, look at that. How about that? Are
<v Speaker 1>Stabler and Benson still in Be the Booker? No. I
<v Speaker 1>took them out. I took Hunter and McCall out. And
<v Speaker 1>Hall and Oates. They've been out for a while. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that was an awful start. We could do better than this. Hmm.
<v Speaker 1>So now we land on somebody who can't buy television
<v Speaker 1>time on these shows anymore. Ivy Nile. Whatever happened to
<v Speaker 1>this rumored tag team we were going to get with
<v Speaker 1>Ivy Nile and Jordan Grace? Whatever happened to that? Thank you, Carlos.
<v Speaker 1>59 months of channel membership. You da man. No, you are.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, brother, for the membership. Almost 60 months of membership.
<v Speaker 1>Ivy Nile and Paige here. Paige here. At least it's
<v Speaker 1>not Nikki Bella against Paige. At least she has a
<v Speaker 1>different opponent here. Man, we are off to a rough
<v Speaker 1>start here. This is shaping up to be a lost round.
<v Speaker 1>It's a good thing we have that second one banked.
<v Speaker 1>This is looking rough. Our main event. Our first main event.
<v Speaker 1>We have the demon. Just in time for Halloween season.
<v Speaker 1>It is the demon. Finn Balor. Good old Finn Balor.
<v Speaker 1>In the main event. Demon paint and all. Come on, man.
<v Speaker 1>It's the demon. Just keep him away from the top rope. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>it's the demon against the learning tree. Oh, no. See,
<v Speaker 1>I'm very tempted. I'm very tempted to give this the buzz.
<v Speaker 1>But at the end of the day, it is still
<v Speaker 1>Finn Balor against Chris Jericho. So I feel like I
<v Speaker 1>have to give that the bell to at least salvage
<v Speaker 1>this round. But when I see this image... It sends
<v Speaker 1>a cold chill up my spine. It's still Jericho and Balor.
<v Speaker 1>It's still Jericho and Balor. Hi, guys. What a perfectly
<v Speaker 1>booked third hour of SmackDown. Yeah, my goal is to
<v Speaker 1>try to give you people a better show than WWE
<v Speaker 1>did tonight. I feel like I'm failing you so far.
<v Speaker 1>But that's okay, because we got one more round. We
<v Speaker 1>are 8 out of 10, though, on the bonus goal.
<v Speaker 1>We only need two more. All right, so here we go.
<v Speaker 1>We pick stipulations. This is what we do here. It's
<v Speaker 1>what we do. This is what we do. Isn't that
<v Speaker 1>a Paul Levesque quote? What we do. What do you do?
<v Speaker 1>We put on shitty television shows. It's what we do. Oh, man.
<v Speaker 1>Asahi Moonsault just gifted another... membership bomb 10 memberships gifted
<v Speaker 1>I'll tell you what this stream is going to help
<v Speaker 1>that membership total because of this dude here look at
<v Speaker 1>that sea of green I love it love it first
<v Speaker 1>match is going to be oh this is a new
<v Speaker 1>one this is a new one we have a swamp
<v Speaker 1>fight I don't believe we've ever booked one of these
<v Speaker 1>before We're heading to the swamp, everybody. That's where SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>should have been tonight. That's where this television show belongs,
<v Speaker 1>in the swamp. And Carlos. Carlos. Is that Carlos? Yes,
<v Speaker 1>it is. It is Carlos. We just hit the goal.
<v Speaker 1>The bonus goal, thanks to Carlos. 10 out of 10.
<v Speaker 1>We are guaranteed another round after this. Three in total.
<v Speaker 1>We're going to try to wipe the slate clean from
<v Speaker 1>what happened in round number one. All right, so a
<v Speaker 1>swamp fight with, oh, this is another new addition to
<v Speaker 1>Be The Booker. Who were all the people who were
<v Speaker 1>crowing about this a couple of weeks ago? Who was
<v Speaker 1>it who was crowing nonstop about Billy Kidman? We need
<v Speaker 1>Billy Kidman in Be The Booker. Where is Billy Kidman?
<v Speaker 1>I said Billy Kidman is not in Be The Booker.
<v Speaker 1>So now he is. Look at Bischoff raising his hand
<v Speaker 1>like he's a main eventer here. Billy Kidman is going
<v Speaker 1>to be in a swamp. Drain the SmackDown swamp. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why that made me laugh. Drain the SmackDown swamp. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>we need to drain the swamp on SmackDown. All right.
<v Speaker 1>Billy Kidman is headed to the swamp. I should put
<v Speaker 1>Swamp Thing in here. I just realized. I should put
<v Speaker 1>him in here now. Billy Kidman against Seamus in a
<v Speaker 1>swamp fight. I don't know. I quite like that. That's
<v Speaker 1>an interesting one to me. God, Seamus in the swamp.
<v Speaker 1>Look how white he is. It almost doesn't even look real.
<v Speaker 1>It's like all the blood has been drained from his body. Ah,
<v Speaker 1>the Celtic warrior. All right, match number two. An I
<v Speaker 1>quit match. All right, one of these ladies is going
<v Speaker 1>to be saying I quit at the end of this.
<v Speaker 1>That is an interesting, I agree. That's why I gave
<v Speaker 1>it the bell. That is an interesting match. Sheamus has
<v Speaker 1>a bad time at the beach. Well, the good thing,
<v Speaker 1>the swamp fight's at night, so he doesn't have to
<v Speaker 1>worry about the UV rays at night. We'll only do
<v Speaker 1>the swamp fight at night for Sheamus. He doesn't get burned.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we have an I Quit match with Stephanie
<v Speaker 1>McMahon Helmsley, the former WWF Women's Champion. Stephanie McMahon against
<v Speaker 1>Becky Lynch in an I quit match it's kind of
<v Speaker 1>a marquee match I'm gonna give that the bell that's
<v Speaker 1>a marquee match that we never got to see I
<v Speaker 1>think that would move some tickets Main event. We have
<v Speaker 1>a beat. Oh, no. Oh, my God. Where is the
<v Speaker 1>quality control? How did that happen? I'll fix it. I'll
<v Speaker 1>fix it. I went to go read it. I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>wait a minute. Something doesn't look right here. That's not
<v Speaker 1>the stipulation that I wanted. This is a PG show here.
<v Speaker 1>We can't be having any of this. I have to
<v Speaker 1>fix this now. Now that is supposed to say... That
<v Speaker 1>is supposed to say, beat the clock challenge. Not a
<v Speaker 1>beat the cock challenge. A lot of competitors here in
<v Speaker 1>the chat tonight who would probably partake in this competition.
<v Speaker 1>All right, these stipulations now are just getting out of control.
<v Speaker 1>All right. My God. My God. What have I done?
<v Speaker 1>They want me to leave it the way it is.
<v Speaker 1>In a beat the clock challenge, as you all know,
<v Speaker 1>my favorite stipulation, we have the Honky Tonk Man. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>it's probably better that it's a beat the clock challenge.
<v Speaker 1>That way it won't last too long. Honky's matches were
<v Speaker 1>better off short. We don't need to see Honky Tonk
<v Speaker 1>Man in a 20-minute match. No 20-minute barn burners here
<v Speaker 1>with the Honky Tonk Man. Five-minute beat-the-clock challenge. God. Again
<v Speaker 1>with him! Also a former Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus and the
<v Speaker 1>Honky Tonk Man. In a beat-the-cock challenge. Which is a
<v Speaker 1>very different kind of match. Who do you think would
<v Speaker 1>win that? between honky tonk man and Seamus. I didn't even,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know that I would, clearly I didn't notice,
<v Speaker 1>but I, as I'm reading it, I had to read
<v Speaker 1>what it was saying on the screen. And then I
<v Speaker 1>realized what I had done. That terrible mistake, terrible mistake.
<v Speaker 1>But Hey, we got to sweep. That's all that matters.
<v Speaker 1>Gunthar would never survive. How about Gunnar? I think Gunnar
<v Speaker 1>in a beat-the-cock challenge would make more sense. Alright. We
<v Speaker 1>got one more. We gotta wash the stench of this away.
<v Speaker 1>Even though we got a clean sweep, I don't like
<v Speaker 1>the way that we got it there. It was by
<v Speaker 1>nefarious means. So we have one more round here to go. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>that's right. Sheamus never won the IC title. Did I
<v Speaker 1>say he won the IC title? I had convinced myself
<v Speaker 1>that Sheamus... I had convinced myself that he had won
<v Speaker 1>the title. Oh, my God. I was so hoping that
<v Speaker 1>he would one day win the championship. I guess in
<v Speaker 1>my brain, I manufactured this. He did win the US title, though.
<v Speaker 1>I think. Did he win? I think he did. What
<v Speaker 1>a shame. He never won that fucking belt. Oh, man.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we have a barbed wire steel cage match.
<v Speaker 1>All right, now B the Booker is going to get
<v Speaker 1>bloodthirsty here. Still reeling from that previous round. A barbed
<v Speaker 1>wire steel cage clash. This is terrible. We have Yoshihiko.
<v Speaker 1>I'll tell you what, it's a good thing Yoshihiko didn't
<v Speaker 1>land in the beat the cock challenge. Would have been
<v Speaker 1>a no contest there. But this is a terrible stipulation
<v Speaker 1>for Yoshihiko the blow-up doll. For those of you who
<v Speaker 1>are wondering what is going on here and why is
<v Speaker 1>there a blow-up doll in the ring on screen, you
<v Speaker 1>need to look up the greatness of Yoshihiko and some
<v Speaker 1>of the great challengers that Yoshihiko has stepped into the
<v Speaker 1>ring with The worst possible stipulation, though, for a blow-up
<v Speaker 1>doll is a barbed wire match. This is not good.
<v Speaker 1>This is not good. This is going to be a
<v Speaker 1>very short match. I'm very concerned here for Yoshihiko's safety.
<v Speaker 1>There are certain wrestlers, though, who could carry even a
<v Speaker 1>blow-up doll to a great match. Perhaps we'll land on
<v Speaker 1>one here. The Big Boss Man. Big Boss Man, I think,
<v Speaker 1>as much as people do put him over, I think
<v Speaker 1>is still a very underrated performer in the ring. Yoshihiko
<v Speaker 1>would make it work. Or Big Boss Man would make
<v Speaker 1>it work. But yeah, that is not the stipulation for
<v Speaker 1>a Yoshihiko match. Alright, our second match here. Round number
<v Speaker 1>two is going to be Tony Khan's dream match, everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Oh boy, here we go. Tony Khan, he has a dream.
<v Speaker 1>He wants to put together his favorite match. And it
<v Speaker 1>is incumbent upon us that we deliver here. A Tony
<v Speaker 1>Khan special. These are the two men that Tony Khan,
<v Speaker 1>in a perfect world, would book in a professional wrestling match.
<v Speaker 1>find out who is going to be in this match
<v Speaker 1>we have okay i don't think i don't think that
<v Speaker 1>the style of wrestling that tony khan is a fan
<v Speaker 1>of would include this man which just makes it even
<v Speaker 1>funnier that we have landed on the great or not
<v Speaker 1>so great khali The idea that Tony Khan would even
<v Speaker 1>sign and book the Great Khali is just high comedy.
<v Speaker 1>Of all the people that Tony Khan truly does not
<v Speaker 1>know how to book, big guys. Doesn't know how to
<v Speaker 1>book a lot of big guys. Doesn't have a great
<v Speaker 1>track record with them. This Tony Khan dream match here
<v Speaker 1>has turned into a nightmare. The buzz is ready to
<v Speaker 1>be hit. Yeah, I don't think there's any way to
<v Speaker 1>save this. It will be... Oh, this just gets even worse.
<v Speaker 1>Tony Khan's dream match with the Great Khali is now...
<v Speaker 1>For the Big Gold Belt. The World Heavyweight Championship. God,
<v Speaker 1>he's wrestling for a title. That makes it so much worse.
<v Speaker 1>So much worse. So much worse. The Great Khali against
<v Speaker 1>Jake the Snake Roberts for the World Heavyweight Championship. His
<v Speaker 1>Tony Khan's dream match. That is Tony Khan's nightmare, is
<v Speaker 1>what that is. No, not even 90s flair could have
<v Speaker 1>saved that. Nobody was saving that. And our main event
<v Speaker 1>of the evening is going to be, very simply, a
<v Speaker 1>ladder match. It is going to be a ladder match.
<v Speaker 1>You must climb the ladder and pull the championship down.
<v Speaker 1>You know how it works. We just had two of
<v Speaker 1>them this past weekend. Participant number one will be the
<v Speaker 1>Samoan werewolf, Jacob Fatu. Not a fan of the 9-4-6. Yadamein.
<v Speaker 1>Keeping it 100. Jacob Fatu right there, baby. Hopefully he's
<v Speaker 1>convalescing well at home from the heinous attack with that car.
<v Speaker 1>He's going to be in a ladder match, and his
<v Speaker 1>opponent is going to be Dave Bautista. Fatu and Bautista
<v Speaker 1>in a ladder match. Now, a ladder match is not
<v Speaker 1>really a match that Bautista should be in. However, those
<v Speaker 1>are two big names, I think, who would go out
<v Speaker 1>there and have a very good match. All climbing. All gas.
<v Speaker 1>No brakes with it. Yeah, I mean. Well, at least
<v Speaker 1>we ended with a... It wasn't a sweep. You can
<v Speaker 1>thank Khalid for that, but at least we ended with
<v Speaker 1>a good one. How do you spell that, by the way?
<v Speaker 1>Can someone tell me, how do you spell Yad Amin?
<v Speaker 1>How would I spell that? Vince McMahon was still there,
<v Speaker 1>and he was writing out Jacob's promos, and he had
<v Speaker 1>to write Yad Amin in a promo. How would he
<v Speaker 1>write that? All right, these last Super Chats here. Let's see.
<v Speaker 1>Some messages coming on in. We had one here from Brad. Brad.
<v Speaker 1>Brad with a 10 spot. Brad, what's going on? Brad Vermeule,
<v Speaker 1>let's get that third round. We did. We did. Uffman
<v Speaker 1>with a 10. This turtle goes to a Halloween party.
<v Speaker 1>The guy looks at him and says, who's that girl
<v Speaker 1>on your back? I have one pair of skinny jeans
<v Speaker 1>and I'm going to wear them every week just to
<v Speaker 1>piss you off. Hey, there's Big Dave. He just landed
<v Speaker 1>on Big Dave, and then Big Dave popped up on screen,
<v Speaker 1>and he's wearing his skinny jeans. But yeah, the turtle
<v Speaker 1>goes to a Halloween party. A guy looks at him
<v Speaker 1>and says, who's that girl on your back? And the
<v Speaker 1>turtle says, that's Michelle. Look at Uffman with the jokes. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>I should have said it Michelle. That's Michelle. Damn, I
<v Speaker 1>think I ruined it. I should have said it that way.
<v Speaker 1>We got Bevo. Bevo the Beekeeper is with us. What
<v Speaker 1>a name. Will we see the Macho Monster this Halloween? Well,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, if the people demand it, then we may
<v Speaker 1>have to bust out the Macho Monster. He's been away
<v Speaker 1>on vacation. So, if the people want it, then the
<v Speaker 1>people shall have it. Carlos says, Jey Uso run it back.
<v Speaker 1>Bevo says, have we seen the end of the Celtic
<v Speaker 1>Warrior workouts? I hope not. He might have to rename
<v Speaker 1>the channel. But I hope he brings them back. I
<v Speaker 1>always enjoyed those videos. I don't see any reason why
<v Speaker 1>WWE should have to kill everything off. And St. James,
<v Speaker 1>did Gunther threaten to R. Danhausen on Halloween? That's what
<v Speaker 1>I gleaned from that interaction. Well, I don't know where
<v Speaker 1>you got that from. That's certainly, I mean, that's out
<v Speaker 1>of left field there. That's not what I thought watching
<v Speaker 1>that segment. That he's going to R Dan Housen on Halloween?
<v Speaker 1>Are you sure you're not still thinking about that beat
<v Speaker 1>the cock challenge that we came up with a little
<v Speaker 1>while ago? It's a scary thought. We had an ample
<v Speaker 1>amount of fun, I think, with Be The Booker. More
<v Speaker 1>fun than I had watching SmackDown tonight, which I figured
<v Speaker 1>would be the case. Is UpUpDownDown still active? I don't
<v Speaker 1>think it is. I just saw something today about a
<v Speaker 1>new video game channel that Creed might be setting up.
<v Speaker 1>It's crazy how they just take control of all these things.
<v Speaker 1>And it just belongs to them and Sick. It's sick,
<v Speaker 1>is what it is. Alright, so this Sunday, brand new podcast,
<v Speaker 1>episode 985 is going to be going up, but before then,
<v Speaker 1>we have WrestleDream. I will not be live tomorrow night.
<v Speaker 1>WrestleDream will be, I'm sure, going off the air well
<v Speaker 1>after midnight. I have a podcast on Sunday. We will
<v Speaker 1>save the WrestleDream review for SoundOff 985. We'll make that
<v Speaker 1>a SoundOff exclusive this Sunday. And go check out the short,
<v Speaker 1>the new YouTube short that I posted early this morning
<v Speaker 1>about the Montez Ford. I'll get into more detail about
<v Speaker 1>the Montez Ford story, which is a wild one, on
<v Speaker 1>the SoundOff this weekend and give my thoughts. But I
<v Speaker 1>had to post something up. I got a YouTube short
<v Speaker 1>up about that right now here on the channel, so
<v Speaker 1>go check that out. And Asahi Moonsault says, Another 499.
<v Speaker 1>JC Jane got me in a sweat. Boy, you must
<v Speaker 1>have been in a sweat then in that last match
<v Speaker 1>she had in NXT. I'm trying to remember who it was.
<v Speaker 1>Was it against Kendall? It might have been Kendall. There
<v Speaker 1>was a wardrobe malfunction in that match. She was all
<v Speaker 1>out there. I could just imagine Asayu Moonsault sitting on
<v Speaker 1>the couch at home watching that. In a fucking beads
<v Speaker 1>of sweat coming down his brow. Easy there, big fella.
<v Speaker 1>Is Montez injured? No. No. I know he and Angelo Dawkins,
<v Speaker 1>both their wives, had babies in the last few months.
<v Speaker 1>And I believe that they are just both at home
<v Speaker 1>right now. Don't know when we're going to see them
<v Speaker 1>back on TV, though. Oh, yeah, against Lola Vi. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>it was against Lola. Yeah, I think it was whoever
<v Speaker 1>it was. I think had JC in an ankle lock.
<v Speaker 1>That's why I said Kendall. I thought maybe it was Kendall.
<v Speaker 1>But JC was in an ankle lock and she's reaching
<v Speaker 1>for the ropes and just her. Her top was such
<v Speaker 1>that it was not holding her in. And I think
<v Speaker 1>that show may have aired on the CW. Actually, now
<v Speaker 1>that I think about it. Anyway, why do I remember this?
<v Speaker 1>Ford should join 9-4-6? No. No, I actually don't. Someone
<v Speaker 1>else pitched that idea to me the other day. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not a fan of that idea. I don't like that idea.
<v Speaker 1>And I also think we're getting a little too crazy
<v Speaker 1>with adding new members. They're going to need another person
<v Speaker 1>to flesh out a five-man team for war games, if
<v Speaker 1>that's the plan. It doesn't mean it has to be
<v Speaker 1>a new permanent member. It could be someone that they
<v Speaker 1>align with, like Brock did with The Vision last year.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't like the idea of just continuously adding
<v Speaker 1>new members and new members. And then it takes away
<v Speaker 1>from Mello, who just joined the other night. I think
<v Speaker 1>we need to pump the brakes on new members and
<v Speaker 1>just build up 946 as it currently exists. Asai says,
<v Speaker 1>Kendall got me even worse. Well, I don't blame you
<v Speaker 1>for that one. I think Kendall has gone through all
<v Speaker 1>of her therapy sessions and storyline, right? I think she's
<v Speaker 1>back now on NXT television. They were trying to Flesh
<v Speaker 1>out her character a little bit. But yeah, you could
<v Speaker 1>have somebody partner up with 946 just for Survivor Series.
<v Speaker 1>And if LA Knight were to go heel, he'd be
<v Speaker 1>the perfect person for that spot. But don't forget, Drew
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre is going to be back soon. He's just waiting
<v Speaker 1>for the creative to come up with something for him
<v Speaker 1>to do, and he's probably going to be back on
<v Speaker 1>Raw if I had to venture a guess. So who's
<v Speaker 1>to say we don't see him there? It's funny, he
<v Speaker 1>was actually doing an interview with... And he said that
<v Speaker 1>he was supposed to come back a lot sooner. But
<v Speaker 1>after he finished filming maybe for the Highlander movie that
<v Speaker 1>he was doing after WrestleMania, or maybe before WrestleMania, he
<v Speaker 1>got the call that Russell Crowe personally requested him for
<v Speaker 1>the new film that he was working on. I guess
<v Speaker 1>he had heard positive things about Drew from his role
<v Speaker 1>in the Highlander movie. I think he plays Gavin McCloud's brother,
<v Speaker 1>the main character's brother in that movie. So you have
<v Speaker 1>Russell Crowe saying, hey, I want you to be in
<v Speaker 1>this movie with me. And he said he went to
<v Speaker 1>the management at TKO and he was like, look, you know,
<v Speaker 1>Russell Crowe has requested me. And I think this would
<v Speaker 1>be good for not just me, but the brand and
<v Speaker 1>all that. And they were like, yeah, just you got
<v Speaker 1>to talk to Hunter. See what he says. If he
<v Speaker 1>says it's OK, then it's OK. And he said he
<v Speaker 1>had this whole speech prepared about how, you know, this
<v Speaker 1>could be good, not just for me, but for the company.
<v Speaker 1>And it just represents the company well. And he was
<v Speaker 1>going to go into this whole song and dance. And
<v Speaker 1>Triple H was like, yeah, this... Before he could even
<v Speaker 1>say anything, he was like, yeah, this is something that
<v Speaker 1>you need to do. So he got to do the movie.
<v Speaker 1>Imagine if Triple H was like, nah, you know what?
<v Speaker 1>We got a storyline for you lined up. So, you know,
<v Speaker 1>you got to tell Russell Crowe no. And then he
<v Speaker 1>comes in and it's some fucking... storyline with dan hausen
<v Speaker 1>or something i'd quit i would just quit i would
<v Speaker 1>quit on the spot they'd probably take that spot anyway
<v Speaker 1>and just give it to fucking roman reigns or something
<v Speaker 1>that would piss me off even more but yeah good
<v Speaker 1>for drew he's got a lot of irons in the
<v Speaker 1>fire right now Doesn't that go against the whole independent
<v Speaker 1>contractor thing? We don't talk about that. We don't talk
<v Speaker 1>about the independent contractor farce. They were truly independent contractors.
<v Speaker 1>They could tell WWE if they want them to go
<v Speaker 1>over to Riyadh for the show next month to go
<v Speaker 1>fuck off. But it doesn't look like any of them
<v Speaker 1>actually have the guts to do so. Chris Mikesell, with
<v Speaker 1>33 months of membership, did you catch Agent Coulson from
<v Speaker 1>Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cameo on the Avengers movie? The first one. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I did. Very upsetting. What happened to him? Which reminds me,
<v Speaker 1>I have to pick up with my Marvel Madness marathon.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't watched any new ones since I came back
<v Speaker 1>from Chicago at the end of September. But I know
<v Speaker 1>what I need to do next. I just got to
<v Speaker 1>get back on it. All right. Be well. Stay safe.
<v Speaker 1>Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Enjoy WrestleDream. If you
<v Speaker 1>are watching, I will be watching, and I will be
<v Speaker 1>talking about it on The Sound Of this Sunday. I
<v Speaker 1>hope you will download and stream and share and join
<v Speaker 1>me for all that fun. Hit that like button on
<v Speaker 1>the way out, and I'll see you guys back here
<v Speaker 1>very soon for more Sound Of. Until then. Take care, guys.
