{"type":"rich","version":"1.0","title":"Not what you need","description":"I walked into my local market one day, out of sorts, and I came across a freezer in the back of the store that sounded like it was malfunctioning. I could very much relate.\n\nI had my recorder with me that day so I thought it would be a cool sound to use in my music making.\n\nI recorded the loud, mechanical sound while my partner patiently waited for me. I kept recording as I turned to walk out and I also captured the music that they were playing in the market. It was an old pop song by INXS called \"What You Need\" which I found to be amusing. After spending some time recording a grinding, mechanical sound in a dark register, it made me laugh to turn and face the catchy, upbeat song. And that is why I named my recording \"Not What You Need\".\n\nThe rest of the recording is a snippet of a conversation, the noise of the check out and me opening the door to the street as a car rumbles by.\n\nBy the way, I never did get around to sampling the sound. Maybe someday.\n\nRecorded in Baltimore by Bill McKenna.","author_name":"Cities and Memory - remixing the world","author_url":"https://audioboom.com/channels/2138625-cities-and-memory-remixing-the-world","provider_name":"Audioboom","provider_url":"https://audioboom.com","width":480,"height":95,"thumbnail_url":"https://audioboom.com/i/43689890/600x600/c","thumbnail_width":600,"thumbnail_height":600,"html":"<iframe width=\"100%\" height=\"95\" src=\"https://embeds.audioboom.com/posts/8914557/embed?v=202301\" style=\"background-color: transparent; display: block; padding: 0; width: 100%\" frameborder=\"0\" allowtransparency=\"allowtransparency\" scrolling=\"no\" title=\"Audioboom player\" allow=\"autoplay\" sandbox=\"allow-downloads allow-forms allow-popups allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-storage-access-by-user-activation allow-top-navigation-by-user-activation\"></iframe>"}
