She honed her skills on many iconic records including Aja by Steely Dan and Breakfast in America by Supertramp. Lenise is recognized as the first woman engineer to record a platinum album, for Blondie's Autoamerican, including the first hit rap song with music, \"Rapture.\"\n\nIn post-production, Lenise specializes in recording and editing foley sound effects for film and animation. She has traveled the world as a foreign dubbing supervisor for DreamWorks, overseeing the foreign dialogue and vocal recording for films like Shrek, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron and Shrek 2. From 2008–2013 Lenise taught music production, post-production and Studio Protocols and Procedures at SAE-LA.\n\nCurrently, Lenise records and produces music with new and established artists, often sought out for her analog tape recording expertise and is exploring spatial/immersive audio for music and sound healing. She enjoys archiving and repairing audio, teaching sound workshops locally and internationally, mentoring audio students and consulting with singer/songwriters.\n\nLenise is a past governor and life member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and a long-standing member of the International Association of Sound Archives (IASA), Association of Recorded Sound Collectors (ARSC), The Hollywood Sapphire Group, Women in Vinyl, The Blues Foundation, SoundGirls, and is a Grammy voting member of the Producers and Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy.
