He said it in a statement before he ever said it out loud to a camera, which changes how you have to read everything that came after.\nWe lay out everything that's actually been released in this case against everything still sealed, including a Mississippi statute about autopsy access that almost nobody has mentioned on air. The district attorney has referred the case to a grand jury, which means subpoena power the sheriff never had, sworn testimony from everyone who was on that island, and phone records that don't get to be rewritten later.
