A guilty plea entered days later, under oath, with the judge asking him point blank whether he actually committed these crimes because he didn't want the man confessing to something he hadn't done.\n\nAnd then, thirteen months later, five handwritten pages saying none of it was true.\n\nThe petition is not frivolous and there is a real statute behind it. But there is a difference between a door being open and a man being able to walk through it.
