Buildings had collapsed, the city’s iconic cathedral suffered significant structural damage, and members of his wife’s extended family and several of her friends experienced damage to their homes.\n\nWhile Wes says no one his family personally knows had been physically injured at the time of our conversation, lives have been lost and families are facing the reality of rebuilding.
