An academic career built around studying criminal emotion and target selection. University colleagues who reported intimidating conduct toward women to campus authorities and local law enforcement. Kohberger entered four guilty pleas for the November 2022 killings of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. He waived appellate rights.
