The family alleges Burke used his wealth to gain access to Celeste and that surrounding adults knew and did nothing.\n\nBurke's former financial manager testified to earnings exceeding ten million dollars. In October 2025, weeks after Celeste's remains were discovered, he transferred two Texas homes to his mother to shield assets. Burke fired his attorneys and uses a public defender.
