They add that $325,017 traces to Carl Reiner, who died in 2020, and that the trust document itself is now paying the trustees' lawyers to oppose him.\n\nThe trustee's answer is where this fight turns. Jodi Pais Montgomery's filing says prior trustee Matthew Fishburn was told by Michele that Nick knew about the money and chose to leave it, which would mean nothing is owed until 2028. Nick's sworn response: to the best of his recollection, no one ever told him. Montgomery also warns that a payout now can't be undone if a jury convicts.
