His last text that night: “Good night, tomorrow’s a big day, I got to get to bed.” She said she believed he meant divorce.\n\nWhen she learned Ashley was dead, she testified her first thought was “too much of a coincidence.” She texted Flynn asking if he was involved, then deleted the text. She denied the affair to the FBI four days later. Botner told the jury she hates him now because she believes he killed his wife. The defense didn’t object — and they haven’t asked her a single question yet.
