July 10, 2025: the message, her \"I didn't mean it,\" and his \"that makes two of us.\" September 2: Ashley had found their texts on Caleb's iPad and taken pictures; here the two of them work out whether the pictures still exist, Caleb says he'll \"grab her phone when she sleeps,\" and Botner replies \"be careful,\" then \"what would be your excuse,\" then \"Perfect.\" August 22: her answer to his 4 a.m. \"ways to kill her\" message, which starts \"I'm not asking that you take her life, obviously\" and ends \"time is ticking and I can't wait forever.\"\n\nCaleb Flynn is charged with aggravated murder. Prosecutors say he shot Ashley in her sleep on February 16, 2026 and called 911 with an intruder story. His defense says the state is prosecuting an affair.
