4th June 2026 - 4 Fresh Gadget Reviews on BBC London

Fevzi Turkalp, the Gadget Detective, joins Jim Davis on BBC Radio London to discuss the latest tech news. This time there's a quartet of gadgets on review.

Gadget of the Week goes to;

Fiio's JM21 Portable High-Res Lossless Music Player. This compact and portable music player can store up to around 80 albums in lossless quality, and well over a thousand if you use a 2tb memory card. Featuring high quality components, such as dual flagship DAC, 4.7 inch display, and 8 core Snapdragon processor, all in an ultra slimline and stylish body. With the ability to still use online streaming services such as Spotify and Tidal this is a wonderful way to start enjoying your music the way it was intended to be heard. Scoring 4.5 out of 5, more in the show

Twelve South CableStay. This 5ft USB-C cable comes with an in-built weighted ball which helps keep the cable where you put it, no more cables sliding down the back of your desk. Available in a range of colours, these are a premium option for those who want their cables to behave.

Twelve South Curve Mini. This ultra-compact portable tablet stand raises your tablet up to 6 inches but also folds flat and comes with its own travel case. A convenient and sturdy way to view your tablet. Scoring 3.5 out of 5, more in the show

Fresh 'n Rebel Clam Fuse Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones. These active hybrid noise cancelling headphones feature Bluetooth 5.3, up to 60 hours on a charge, ambient sound mode so you can hear your surroundings, environmental cancelling for clearer voice quality, all in a foldable design and in a range of colours and even automatically pause when you take them off. Scoring 4 out of 5, more in the show.
