The case where he pleaded guilty to killing eight women. Now the families want the money back. And more. Valerie Mack’s son has filed a wrongful death lawsuit alleging civil conspiracy. The suit names Asa Ellerup, her daughter Victoria, and Rex Heuermann. The accusation is not that Asa was oblivious. It is that she knew or deliberately avoided knowing what was happening and helped conceal it. Suffolk County prosecutors already cleared Asa criminally. They said she was not home during the killings. They called the hair found on victims household transference. They moved on.
