rich 1.0 Secure Data Environments (SDE) are a new way that health and care data will be accessed for research and development purposes. It seeks to make access to data safer and easier for researchers and analysts. In this episode, Kathryn Eden, Communications Lead for the North East and North Cumbria SDE, talks to Violet Rook and Roland Finch about their role as public members. A public member refers to someone who serves on a committee, steering group or panel of an organisation, to enhance its governance by acting as an advocate for public interest.
