rich 1.0 The Caleb Flynn trial ended with a guilty verdict on every count the jury was asked to decide in the murder of his wife, Ashley Flynn. After 2 hours, 25 minutes and 12 seconds of deliberations, jurors returned guilty verdicts on one count of aggravated murder, three counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and three counts of tampering with evidence. Flynn, 40, a former American Idol contestant and worship pastor, had maintained that Ashley was killed during a home-invasion burglary and that investigators rushed to blame him. Prosecutors argued that Flynn killed Ashley at their Tipp City, Ohio home on February 16, 2026, then staged the scene to make it look like an intruder had been there. The jury rejected the defense account. Two misdemeanor intimidation counts from the original 11-count indictment were dismissed before deliberations, leaving nine counts for the jury. The verdict means the presumption of innocence on those counts has ended. Sentencing is scheduled for October 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM EDT. The next question is no longer whether the jury believed the home-invasion story. It is what sentence Judge Jeannine Pratt will impose.
