Sound of the wind
Gorgeous song. Thanks.
The stars, shining, hanging high over our heads, why are they crying? The stones on our backs nestling between the cracks but for how long? Tide pulls the warm blood, beating. The sea tugs the anchors, rusting Hurricanes can't blow me down. Cocooned from winds, long enough to emerge, strong and true again. A new directiomn, magenetised I chase the north. South pulls harder. Tracking prints in new snow hunting. Lost in woods, dangerous, daunting. Hurricanes can't blow me down. Eyes fail, head frail, knocking at the door of faith with no answer. Stand tall, stone wall hurricanes cannot blow me down anymore.
wind on our tent, Rannoch Moor
Yes it has! Thank you.
has that worked?
That's an excellent recording, thanks ever so much for sharing it with the UK SoundMap. Rannoch Moor's a big place, would you be able to go into 'edit' and position the marker on the Google Map please? Then it'll appear on the SoundMap.
Singing Ringing Tree
That's wonderful - so eerie
Many thanks for adding the 'uksm' tag. Your recording has already been included on the UK SoundMap, but we've had to catch up on our acknowledgements due to the large number of contributions received lately. PS: For a while had wanted to hear the Singing Ringing Tree, so your recording is much appreciated.
What an amazing piece of art. The way it interacts with the landscape is genius.

I like that, too. I think somehow the din of the cars emphasises the peacefulness of the moments in between. And I love how you can suddenly hear birds and crickets and wind in the barley, after the roaring combustion engines.
I like it when it goes quiet after the cars have gone by.
