In just over one amazing week, a group of Twitter collaborators created a book, titled *2:46: Aftershocks: Stories from the Japan Earthquake* also known as “#quakebook”, to raise money for Japanese Red Cross earthquake and tsunami relief. As well as narratives by people who braved the disaster, the book contains essays by authors William Gibson and Barry Eisler, as well as artist/musician Yoko Ono.
Brian, sitting on a train in Tokyo listening to your boo. What an amazing thing this is. What you said reminds me of the problems my home village in Herefordshire faces, and contrasts sharply with the access I have here where the 3g network outpaces the broadband I had back home.
