Live exports ban illegal under EU rules - Farming Minister

A ban on live exports of animals would "not be legal under [EU] free trade rules", says Farming Minister, David Heath. Responding to questions in the House of Commons, he made it clear that the government would not consider pushing to change those trade laws as part of any renegotiation of the UK's membership of the European Union.
