Teaching English through DramaThrift, thrift, Horatio! To be or not to be, that’s the question! Remember those lines??? Yes, then, excellent, remember they come from Hamlet, by Shakespeare? Hi, everyone. This is Daniela again and this time I´m here to share my opinions on a podcast from TESOL-Drama. Teaching English through Drama and the video is called The Dentist. Acting and performing is just a great way to get the feeling of what words are for! You can feel the intention of each and every word just through drama and through acting, besides when acting you use not only words but also your whole body to convey feelings, emotions and thoughts: that is what real language is for, isn’t it? So, why not taking advantage of acting through the process of learning and teaching English? I am sure you’d agree with me on it. The Dentist is about the fear and thrill we have when visiting the dentist, does it sound any bell to you? I guess just few people enjoy it, right? So, why not acting and performing as a way to live and feel language just beyond grammar and language rules? So, just to say goodbye, here I have an invitation for you to consider teaching English through drama. Just do it, you will enjoy it. Well, this is it. And see you soon.
