King of the castle

We must have made a strange sight emerging into the light at the top of the tower in St Emelion, Mark with his two walking sticks and me with my cane. But, surprisingly for some. Not least the people guarding such monuments and extracting fees from tourists, we have something of a magnetic attraction to tall buildings and steep staircases.
