hello, and welcome to this podcast, the big question being asked is what is an algorithm. Today i am going to answer that question for you and also tell you how google uses algorithms in its search engines. algorithms are a process or a set of rules that has to followed by for a calculations or problem-solvings especially by a computer.

Google uses algorithms to find the keywords that you searched for. It uses something called spiders to search web pages for the keywords that you searched for. it then asks questions like: is the keyword in the title/subtitle, is your keyword featured in bold and how many times is your keyword in the webpage.it also checks if any synonyms of your keywords are found in the webpage. it also checks if the webpage is of a high or low quality and if it spams or not. last of all it looks at the page rate which looks at how many outside pages link to this one then rates it on that number.

then it sends all of the results back to you, with the best webpages.
