Willie Young Explains Marischal Square "Cancellation Fee" Comments

Aberdeen City Council's Finance Convenor has said claims he misled the public over the Marischal Square development are "outrageous". Willie Young faced calls for an investigation yesterday from MSP Kevin Stewart after he said the authority would face a £100m cancellation fee if they backed out of the controversial scheme. After the Council and developers said that was not the case, Mr Young said he was not in full possession of the facts at the the time and had been incorrectly advised by Council Officers.
