Feb 01, 2012, 02:11 PM

Newshour spoke to Wael Ghonim, the young marketing executive who took a lead role in mobilising people to take to the streets a year ago in Egypt. He set up a Facebook page called "We are all Khaled Said" after he saw the gruesome photo of a young Egyptian man tortured and killed by the secret police. The page attracted hundreds of thousands of followers, many of them the same people who congregated in Tahrir Square calling for change. Where does Wael Ghonim think the revolution is heading now? Here's a flavour of the interview. You can hear a longer version in Newshour at 20/21GMT or via our podcast.
