BBC World Update: Activist "confesses" on Syrian state TV

Ali Mahmoud Othman was the head of the makeshift media centre in Homs. He was there when a shell hit the centre killing two journalists among them American Marie Colvin.
The blast also seriously injured her colleague Paul Conroy.
At the end of March, Ali was arrested. Now he has appeared on Syrian state TV, apparently confessing to his crimes.
