Based on Zechariah 12:8-11; God is preparing his people for the time of Jacob's trouble (Jeremiah 30) and in the meantime he wants to save them by introducing them to Messiah Jesus! Our Lord told His people that until the could say, "blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord," they would not see Him again! Matthew 23:39
