LISTEN AGAIN: Tribute to Kinder Mountain Rescue Team Chair Ken Blakeman

Fellow team member Jim Harries pays tribute to the Chairman of Kinder Mountain Rescue Team, Ken Blakeman, who collapsed during a call-out on Saturday and later died. 69 year old Ken had been a stalwart of the team for over 40 years. He collapsed while making his way up onto Kinder to assist a young Duke of Edinburgh walker in distress. Despite the best efforts of his teammates, and the assistance of a Helimed crew, Ken was pronounced dead on arrival at Sheffield Northern General Hospital. He leaves a wife, Sandra, and sons Paul and Carl.
