This is Evie, our award winning Scots Poem reciter. Today, Wednesday 25 January 2012, was Burns Night, the annual day of remembrance for all things Robert 'Rabbie' Burns for Scots across the world. I am not Scottish, but my wife and children (as we live in Scotland) are and as part of the school celebrations they annually organise a poetry reading for the children to take part in. This year Evie (along with Ben) won for her year (P3) and this is a recording of her, back at home, reciting her poem complete with winner's certificate in hand. It may be that you don't understand the entire poem... neither do I, but it is very cute! :)
