The Role of media in the Permanent Constitution Making Process in South Sudan

The 2018 revitalized peace agreement provides the parameters for the permanent constitution, and article 6.1 permits RTGoNU to initiate and oversee a Permanent Constitution-making Process, during the Transitional Period, also, article 6.13. says the process of permanent Constitution-making shall be led and owned by the people of South Sudan.

The role of communications in facilitating public participation in constitution-making is often neglected and misunderstood, particularly in post-war state-building when mass media may be weak.
