Access Liberty Festival 2022 with Audio Description

The free Liberty Festival, a celebration of Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists and part of Lewisham London Borough of Culture 2022, will take place from Friday 22 July to Sunday 24 July 2022 with many, many accessible events with audio description for blind and partially sighted people.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with Linda Rocco, Liberty Festival 2022 Creative Producer to find out a bit more about the history of Liberty Festival and to give a flavour of what is on this year with audio description.

Linda began by telling Toby about the background and history to Liberty Festival and the link up with the London Borough of Culture festival.

Linda then gave a run down of some of the events and exhibitions at Liberty festival 2022 that have audio description including Sanctuary Cafe by David Johnson a blind Sculptor and Mapping in Lewisham by Local Senses and then a run down of some of the other events that are also described.
