The Indian Constitution is one of the world’s great political texts. This podcast provides audio lectures by Madhav Khosla ((Ashoka University, Columbia Law School, Harvard Society of Fellows) for an ongoing course at Ashoka University, which aims at introducing students to the major themes in the theory and practice of Indian Constitutionalism, including its creation, citizenship, elections, separation of powers, federalism, emergency powers, and rights. Throughout, the lectures will consider the normative and structural principles that underlie and inform Indian constitutionalism, and shed light on the relationship between Indian constitutionalism and Indian democracy.
