S1 Ep941: BBC Radio Oxford, launch - 1970
BBC Radio Oxford launched on October 29, 1970. Station Manager, Donald Norbrook, kicked things off, followed by the Lord Mayor enjoying being a DJ. The first programme, with Keith Salmon, deployed the title which just had to be used: 'Oxford Circus'. Bill Rennells, later at Radio 2 from 1978, was on news duty.
