Quick Fictions is the brainchild of Nicholas Royle, Professor of English at the University of Sussex and author of the novel, Quilt. Quick Fictions grew out of his interest in experimental projects and new kinds of writing. In particular, he wanted to explore the question of how to write - inventively, thoughtfully, memorably - in the age of the short attention span.
