[SPEAKER_06]: And then I look up at something that I purchased recently, which was a large screen television, you know, where you projection screen TV show.

[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want anybody to suffer like I've suffered with that.

[SPEAKER_06]: So what I because but it sits up on my shelf here, and you know, I don't do it.

[SPEAKER_06]: And then I look at the New York Giants helmet that I have, which is a piece of memorabilia, hate that word, hate that word, hate that word, yeah, you love that word.

[SPEAKER_06]: I hate that word.

[SPEAKER_05]: No, I don't have any, Mike, I have no opinion on that word.

[SPEAKER_05]: Only to put it in copy.

[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I took it out, didn't I?

[SPEAKER_05]: So memorabilia would be that little we're on the same page.

[SPEAKER_06]: And George Carlin, God rest his brilliant soul did a great, great bit on the softening of the English language when it came to horrible things.

[SPEAKER_06]: and the English language can be twisted around in many different ways to make things any way you want.

[SPEAKER_06]: It can make them appear more valuable.

[SPEAKER_06]: It can make them appear less intimidately.

[SPEAKER_06]: For example, in World War I, soldiers got shell shock.

[SPEAKER_06]: That was what they called, and then it became battle fatigue, and then it ended up post-traumatic stress disorder.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_06]: Then it becomes collectible.

[SPEAKER_06]: Then it becomes memorabilia, you know, and it's that kind of thing.

[SPEAKER_05]: Do you hate collectible as much as memorabilia if you had drank the words?

[SPEAKER_06]: Now this watch that you're looking at right now on the screen.

[SPEAKER_06]: I do not wear this watch, and I don't wear this watch primarily because the elderly eyes that I have,

[SPEAKER_06]: It just doesn't jump at me and I don't know why I can't tell you, but I have not worn this watch very often.

[SPEAKER_06]: it's got a clear back and it's got a skeleton face so it's got it's an automatic watch it retailed when i bought it in the vicinity of seven hundred dollars i know that an automatic means that it winds itself by wearing itself and it is it is a beautiful beautiful timepiece

[SPEAKER_06]: just not my cup of tea.

[SPEAKER_06]: Right.

[SPEAKER_06]: The other watch that I am putting up for auction is another watch that I just haven't gotten round to wearing.

[SPEAKER_06]: There's a company called Mody.

[SPEAKER_06]: That is cool.

[SPEAKER_06]: And Mody and Mody does this.

[SPEAKER_06]: They take a psycho movement.

[SPEAKER_06]: and they take all the quality stainless steel that you would find in the real deal watches.

[SPEAKER_06]: In this case, a Cartier Santos and they recreated with a Saco movement in it.

[SPEAKER_06]: This is essentially the case, the face, the hands of a Cartier Santos.

[SPEAKER_06]: And these watches are anywhere between the mid to upper 300s and the low 400s for these kinds of watches.

[SPEAKER_05]: you've got an excellent movement, but it's encased in a glorious delivery system.

[SPEAKER_06]: And that also has a clear case back and I just don't wear it.

[SPEAKER_06]: So that's it.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I have.

[SPEAKER_06]: And then the last item that I have is a wonderful, this is memorabilia that was donated.

[SPEAKER_05]: And he went to the actual,

[SPEAKER_05]: the clothing department, the people that make the costumes, the costumes for Reeling Brothers, and they said, make a ring master hat for my buddy Mike that is just like the real one over the top.

[SPEAKER_05]: So that's the real one actually.

[SPEAKER_05]: It is the real one, but but with extra jewels and the logo on top, this is literally so that actually was not by.

[SPEAKER_06]: It was the ring masters.

[SPEAKER_06]: It was I think a ring masters hat that was

[SPEAKER_06]: identical to the one used in the circus and and I look at it every day and I thought that it would be a really cool thing for somebody to have.

[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, I've worn it on the show a couple of times and that's it.

[SPEAKER_06]: Those are the things.

[SPEAKER_05]: You must wear it when it rains.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, when I have to go out for a long one in the rain.

[SPEAKER_06]: In the back of her throat and was swallowing and her chest area and that kind of it was something was bugging or she put it off for a while and she ended up going to this doctor to make a long story short.

[SPEAKER_06]: This doctor suggested that she go get checked out by a cardio pulmonary person.

[SPEAKER_06]: That happened.

[SPEAKER_06]: They determined they needed further tests because they thought there might be something cardio going on.

[SPEAKER_06]: Her family history is just loaded with people that have had hard problems and low and behold, my mother-in-law after getting the, not the EKG, the more detailed one, the angiogram, it is determined that she has a very significant blockage in her arteries, in particular,

[SPEAKER_06]: uh... the fact that she uh... got this uh... determined and they found out early uh... or is early as they could is a blessing because she is now in the hospital and they are not wasting any time she was being set up uh... for the procedure she is going in for open heart surgery tomorrow

[SPEAKER_06]: And Linda, as I told you in person, I wanted to share with our listeners that we wish you nothing but the best and, you know, I think the fact that you're in the kind of shape you are in, we'll result in a very quick recovery for this comparatively, but this is a big deal.

[SPEAKER_06]: anybody that goes under the night for open heart surgery, you know, as I said to my sister when I was passing this along to her, she's doing great.

[SPEAKER_06]: She feels great.

[SPEAKER_06]: She's just a little scared.

[SPEAKER_05]: Did your sister say it?

[SPEAKER_05]: I'm surprised it wasn't you.

[SPEAKER_06]: You know what, I'll tell you what this did, Rob.

[SPEAKER_06]: And it's interesting, you bring my name up.

[SPEAKER_06]: Because not only should Carly get checked, I have been checked in years past.

[SPEAKER_06]: I should probably be checked again, even though I don't have that gene and my family, it's not hereditary.

[SPEAKER_06]: and you might feel great and you, uh, you know, you really might think you're a okay, but especially to have a family history get checked out because then you could find something like this.

[SPEAKER_05]: And thank you for the miraculous, if you'd simmer this down that 30 set 48 hours ago,

[SPEAKER_05]: She didn't know that she had an heart issue and now she's already scheduled to have it repaired and we've come to a point in modern medicine where if you trust the process and you've got good doctors going in and a baseline of a good healthy life, you're gonna be okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's really it's so much different than it used to be in and Linda, I don't want to belittle this or minimize it But you're in great hands, and you're not only going to be cured of this, you're gonna feel better Just stay with it.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's it's it's a tough road, but you can make it you have to

[SPEAKER_06]: We have had many, many moments on this show where I've laughed with the guys about Carla and Linda.

[SPEAKER_06]: I call them the pigeon sisters and what they do.

[SPEAKER_06]: They were scanning her with a sonogram every vein in her body.

[SPEAKER_06]: It seemed like they were doing the whole vascular system because they will take a vein and then they will bypass it.

[SPEAKER_06]: I always thought that when it was bypass surgery, they took out the bad area and they bypassed it.

[SPEAKER_06]: No, they go around the car wreck is the surgeon put it who was brilliant, a brilliant way of explaining it that here's the car wreck and they just go around the car wreck in a year.

[SPEAKER_05]: determine if it is going to be a quadruple or five way you don't know it.

[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's double.

[SPEAKER_07]: Are you ever concerned when you go in there that they'll say, let's take a look at you too.

[SPEAKER_05]: Well, you should ask Linda, if you could get a group on.

[SPEAKER_06]: I was in that facility, and if you remember my medical history, I went in for a Kalamazca pay.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_06]: And was turned back because I was unsuccessful because of the, to his appetite that I was out.

[SPEAKER_06]: I had to go back and do it all over again.

[SPEAKER_05]: Wasn't it something about you were supposed to be fasting and you were roasted chicken?

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: There was some chicken that cost me.

[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think it was a precipitate issue as much as it was a chicken issue.

[SPEAKER_06]: Rob, they call it the cleanse.

[SPEAKER_06]: And I, yes, they call it the cleanse.

[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't really, I didn't really.

[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, and I, you kind of even with somebody you've been with and loved for a long time, you, you wouldn't, I wouldn't have been surprised us.

[SPEAKER_05]: The beauty of this, because having known you for as long as I have,

[SPEAKER_06]: And then I look over and she's laughing.

[SPEAKER_06]: Of course she is.

[SPEAKER_06]: And she said, well, I didn't know it.

[SPEAKER_06]: And she said, she didn't see it.

[SPEAKER_06]: She didn't have to fall, but things go on.

[SPEAKER_06]: She didn't say that.

[SPEAKER_06]: I'm like, well, you asshole.

[SPEAKER_06]: You asshole for the, it was just, it was so beautifully done.

[SPEAKER_06]: When you say the, the vulnerable part, and I just, you're, I risked my comero, was there.

[SPEAKER_06]: at her side that's doing a pulmonary thing where they breathe in and the nurse is standing sideways and goes you got that right yeah like yep there you go so everybody knows where my dad was a best schedule it's just that on the schedule like six months from now eight months yeah you can always postpone it yeah I don't know when my dad was bouncing around between the different facilities in Miami there was one though whenever we mentioned it it could be an orderly

[SPEAKER_05]: Oh boy, that was the way that that hospital was regarded right right you got there are good and bad And everything and good and bad in this show.

[SPEAKER_06]: He finished performing a full concert before going straight to the hospital.

[SPEAKER_06]: Doctors have ordered him to take several weeks off the road.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's got to be a big deal with with kidney stones that require you to get off the road.

[SPEAKER_05]: But when he goes back on the road in three weeks, the merch table will have the stones.

[SPEAKER_06]: he had to postpone a handful of shows.

[SPEAKER_06]: He's 63 and he's like God he plans to return to the stage as soon as his doctors give him the green light.

[SPEAKER_06]: And I say if you had kidney stone pain requiring emergency surgery and you did a concert

[SPEAKER_06]: that man had i he has raised himself in my eyes way to go bread Michaels that's awesome uh... yeah i think that's pretty impressive i hope he uh... does well the summer travel season shows no signs of slowing down the tsa continues to report some of the busiest travel days in history
