[SPEAKER_03]: And most of the stuff was in place last week, their big thing, which is the Diablo haunted maze, is opens tomorrow night Friday night.

[SPEAKER_03]: So this is a big deal, this is a busy guy and he had to deal with all of us influencers all day at KD and he still took time to do this for us.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is me with the general manager of Kings Dominion, which is a big deal to me that's Jennifer Showfield and she's the big cheese.

[SPEAKER_03]: She runs everything down there.

[SPEAKER_01]: What's your first time meeting her?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I've met previous general managers, which makes that even sadder had you have you uh, how were the other influencers that you ordered taken selfies with with staff?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, they were mostly just, um, you know, Mike said something really nice yesterday.

[SPEAKER_03]: He said, um, Rob, there's no one better than kissing us than you.

[SPEAKER_03]: And you know what, that for many people would be an insult, I think, but when I think about it,

[SPEAKER_03]: with what we do it's not a bad skill to have no it's a great skill and I can do it and almost come off genuine sometimes but yeah the the influencers let me give you an idea and now again I am one of you guys and I love the park and I love how they treat us as they call us the ambassadors I'm very thrilled to be an ambassador that's way better than influencer

[SPEAKER_03]: but we stood in line to see what they were going to feature for a Halloween haunt kings of minion haunt 2026 and there were people in line to take pictures of pizza now okay he says not a seasonal snack no no but everything else on that table looks pretty interesting oh the merch is amazing but for why is why pizza?

[SPEAKER_03]: That's some of the featured food, I guess.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know, but like, is there something special about that pizza?

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, no, Patroni's larger or something?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, it's still your basic Victoria's pizza pizza.

[SPEAKER_03]: So that you can buy a cake.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you look above the pizza, there's a mistake of King's Dominion to put out the pizza.

[SPEAKER_03]: Especially if they weren't serving it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if they were serving pizza, then maybe.

[SPEAKER_03]: But the merch is beautiful.

[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like I need corrective footwear

[SPEAKER_03]: And I said look there aren't even any trees on international street yet.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's when I had her because she looked at me.

[SPEAKER_03]: She says did you know that one of the other six like parks just removed some of their trees?

[SPEAKER_03]: I said oh my god, you can't touch the trees.

[SPEAKER_03]: And she says I know right and we had a genuine moment about

[SPEAKER_03]: over the trees.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so that was very nice.

[SPEAKER_03]: She could not have been nicer and just a wonderful host.

[SPEAKER_03]: The general manager probably doesn't need to deal with the influencers, but she has come out and was very cool over.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know the other influencers, but I can say there's no one better to speak for King's Dominion than you.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I love the place.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't take a selfie stick.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and also you get to do single ride things like if you have like an open seat on say raptor, you can hop on it, or if you want to do something, you don't have to have a quorum among the people among you to ride a ride or take a seat or do

[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I did miss you at one particular moment, which was in the arcade.

[SPEAKER_03]: This was a picture I did send you.

[SPEAKER_01]: That is the Wizard of Oz coins from the little coin drop.

[SPEAKER_03]: The coin pusher game.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you don't get those coins all the time.

[SPEAKER_03]: fake implies no you mustn't avoid them because when they're well when they're well prepared they're excellent They um they take a fine apple like I think this was probably like a honey crisp or something a little tart Maybe a cosmic or a jazz apple.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you have to put the green apples under there

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then they dip it in candy, like essentially like a thin candy shell, like a hard candy, but it's thin so you can bite through it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like a jelly wancers style candy?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, sort of, but it has, it has just a slight essence of cinnamon in the candy.

[SPEAKER_03]: So you're getting a cinnamon apple mix plus the crunch of the candy and a great apple.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, it still sounds odd to me.

[SPEAKER_03]: Is there anything better than eating stuff off of a stick?

[SPEAKER_01]: You got me that I want to disagree with you, but I think of I like corn dogs.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, I mean even internationally the Shishka Bob I believe comes from Eastern cultures.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now when I was in Singapore, the street markets did sell lizards and frogs and stuff on sticks.

[SPEAKER_01]: Finger monkeys?

[SPEAKER_01]: I did not see any finger monkeys, but I would not participate in that, but you're right, food on a stick works.

[SPEAKER_03]: I love food on a stick and you know really technically the turkey leg food on a stick.

[SPEAKER_03]: The stick is a bone.

[SPEAKER_03]: But it is.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's why when I use chopsticks, I just stabbed my food.

[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_03]: I put my, I put my chopsticks in a pencil sharpener.

[SPEAKER_03]: So they're really nice and pointy.

[SPEAKER_03]: You can really get in there.

[SPEAKER_03]: Here is they've really decorated the park grade just around the park or general scary decorations.

[SPEAKER_03]: Even during the daylight time when they cater to the youngsters and they have you know, trick or treating and face bending and all that stuff.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's the big skull over the waterfall.

[SPEAKER_03]: As you know, between the eye full tower going into candy apple grove.

[SPEAKER_03]: I know you know the park like the back of your hand.

[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, that's also a very nice flying squirrels hat you were wearing.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad you recognized it.

[SPEAKER_03]: It is a great hat.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that was the first hat I bought after my weight loss.

[SPEAKER_03]: So, I went from a size eight to a seven and five eights.

[SPEAKER_03]: Great job.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's it is genuinely spooky.

[SPEAKER_01]: So where I'm going with Disney and they're doing the not so scary, we're all happy, can you just lean it into the heart, the fear, the scare, and the teenage audience.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think they want anyone under the age of 13 gone by 6 p.m. And that's the time to go then.

[SPEAKER_03]: I want you to see, um, they did this, this thing it's called, uh, cash, I think I'm trying to think of the name of it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you know, I need to pull the video in a second.

[SPEAKER_03]: But it is the opening show they do, like that kicks off the nighttime.

[SPEAKER_03]: But I think it's like it's seven o'clock.

[SPEAKER_03]: They did it for us.

[SPEAKER_03]: It might be different times for, for different shows.

[SPEAKER_03]: So the end show.

[SPEAKER_03]: the evening show and they do have a beautiful like Broadway style musical that's creepy but they've got young singers and lighting and monster costumes and that's our doors or in their little theater.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now that's outdoors that's the main stage right opposite the I full tower.

[SPEAKER_03]: But what opens it is called the overlords insurrection or the overlords

[SPEAKER_03]: Or maybe they'd go over to Bush Gardens and they'd take over.

[SPEAKER_01]: That, do you like that, yes?

[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't realize that the overlords' resurrection was going to be as intense as it was, so I did not use my camera to film it.

[SPEAKER_03]: So what I did is I went home and I went on YouTube and grabbed someone else's, but I want you to watch this as pretty incredible, but there's something funny about it too.

[SPEAKER_03]: is they start with the eerie overlord coming out and they're sparks and there's fire and there's fog machines and then the parade of monsters come.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let me show you some of the parade of monsters.

[SPEAKER_03]: These are not your charming ghosts with just a sheet over there.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is also six flags.

[SPEAKER_03]: They don't have

[SPEAKER_03]: they've got snoopy but do they know they've got Charlie Brown get they don't have any no no so all the stuff and they've got them all they've got uh... evil clowns they've got zombies they've got Dracula's they've got Frankenstein's they've got wolf men and women

[SPEAKER_03]: But I was not only impressed with the scaringness of the makeup, but also the fact that they immediately began lingering in the crowd.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like seeing the monsters on stage.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're walking right by you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Take a look at this.

[SPEAKER_03]: And if I have to guess, what's the first one?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, oh, that guy's scary.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if that's just a guy that works there.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think there's probably 120 to 150 monsters that come out in the parade and just start mingling in the crowd.

[SPEAKER_01]: Once they mingling the crowd, do they go throughout the park and continue to do that all night?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they do.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I love that.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then you can buy for, I think it's $18 and $19, a no-scare necklace, which is like a light up lantern that you wear so they won't jump out and get you.

[SPEAKER_03]: But why are you going if you don't want to be scared, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: Because your mom and dad want to be scared.

[SPEAKER_03]: I suppose it's for those kids.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now you didn't catch the funniest thing about the Resurrection video is, and remember, I took this from someone else that filmed it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's look at the front of it one more time.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who's that in your lower right corner?

[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was just like a random from another night.

[SPEAKER_01]: I like the idea we have, in fact, killing and I talked the other day when we left Disney about how when we were kids, like you could just randomly find the characters walking through the park.

[SPEAKER_01]: And now with Disney characters, it's all scheduled at different times and go get your pictures and it's all organized.

[SPEAKER_01]: I like the idea of those characters just

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I also, I worry that maybe some of the more food park and maybe some of them just show off.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that is a problem if people just start dressing up and down to the park.

[SPEAKER_01]: That you don't know who's who.

[SPEAKER_03]: And again, you know, I love the, just the overall day.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not a guy that loves scary things, but I appreciate what they do.

[SPEAKER_03]: And if you love horror, this is the place to go, this is something that I love, is what I'm leaving at night.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just to see the entire international street lit up in the purple and orange and the fountain.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's very colorful.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what I like about being parks.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: That it's like walking on to a stage.

[SPEAKER_03]: The netting is this to me was a great touch.

[SPEAKER_03]: So when you push it out of the way, it's like gross.

[SPEAKER_01]: Go over the, a boy they'll pop out.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're like little alcoves and stuff.

[SPEAKER_03]: They built into the ride or the walk through so the scare actors can jump out and get you And so we're going deeper and deeper into where we're not allowed to video tape anymore and this guy says well There's a boo hole.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's a boo hole.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's a boo hole.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so you know if you learn through the course of a day Something it's a good day, and I learned about boo holes, but that's also kind of lame what type of influencers trying to ruin it for his people by pointing out all the boo holes

[SPEAKER_03]: But because an influencer above all Josh, remember this.

[SPEAKER_03]: They don't even want to have a good time.

[SPEAKER_03]: They just want to be the smartest guy in the room.

[SPEAKER_03]: They want to tell you that they got the same part figured out.

[SPEAKER_03]: They, he's drinking got nothing on the influencer because he knows about the bulls.

[SPEAKER_01]: you're right, the proper influencer doesn't care about the venue, they care about themselves.

[SPEAKER_03]: But as you walk through, when it is lit scary and there is going to be fog and you're not going to be looking for bulls, you're going to be grabbing your heart.

[SPEAKER_03]: We, one time when we went down during Halloween, we're big October attenders of Kings Dominion in the past because Carrie has a birthday in late September, Robert has a late September anniversary's in October, so reason to go down there and celebrate during the haunt.

[SPEAKER_03]: And one time we went with Robert's sort of honorary brother, Gibral, little Gibral.

[SPEAKER_03]: And as we got there, Jabril had never been to a theme park before, because he was raised in Tunisia until he was, you know, like five years old, life's a blue hole.

[SPEAKER_03]: He is, he's Muslim, so he never was like, he could need pork.

[SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't allowed.

[SPEAKER_03]: This was all he had.

[SPEAKER_03]: Can he have turkey?

[SPEAKER_03]: He could have turkey.

[SPEAKER_03]: So we could have turkey.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all right.

[SPEAKER_03]: But what was wild is that we found out I couldn't ask him as a kid to go get me a beer, which was what I trained my kids to do when they were little.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I want no dad should do that.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, every dad should do that.

[SPEAKER_03]: But, well, not anymore, because I can't.

[SPEAKER_03]: But he wasn't even allowed to touch a bottle that held alcohol.

[SPEAKER_03]: So, I mean, it was... Gibral just came from a different culture, and he was excited to go, for, oh, he never knew about Easter or Christmas, because he never celebrated.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he had those on Christmas holidays.

[SPEAKER_03]: But still, I feel that the whole notion of hunting for Easter or waking up to presents is a pretty good experience for any child.

[SPEAKER_01]: Rob, I would bet that he never celebrated the 4th of July or Thanksgiving either.

[SPEAKER_03]: Probably.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, well, he had 4th of July.

[SPEAKER_03]: It just wasn't independent today.

[SPEAKER_03]: It came once a year.

[SPEAKER_03]: Correct, right.

[SPEAKER_03]: But with his mother's approval, with Jibil's mom's approval, he spent Christmas with us, and he spent an Easter with us, so he could go through sort of the rituals, and he liked it.

[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that way he could sit there and not get any presents and watch everyone else's joy.

[SPEAKER_03]: You'd be surprised Santa might have brought him some presence.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just, you won't stop.

[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but he had never been to a theme park and on our way down, we're telling him all the good things.

[SPEAKER_03]: And as we arrive, he says, this is going to be great.

[SPEAKER_03]: He said, why?

[SPEAKER_03]: it said okay this changes everything so when we work it got to be dark we actually had a couple friends with us we built like almost like a military triangle around him to walk through the park to block all the blue holes anyone that jumps out gets to you

[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it was Wednesdays because that's the night Melrose Place was on and she sucked me into Melrose place and then that is that's it.

[SPEAKER_01]: So they leaned on that and they leaned on Andy Cohen saying that she's a horrible dancer and that that movie shows us.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and they don't show much of the behind the scenes of the stars learning the dance.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see these stars falling on their face.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see them struggle in, and they don't show much of that.

[SPEAKER_01]: They show a little bit of it, but mostly they show.

[SPEAKER_01]: these big performance numbers that the stars come out to do.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then they have all these other dancers that I don't know who they are, but there's like 50 of them and they come out and do their dance performances in between each person's dance.

[SPEAKER_03]: and the partners, the pro dancers, the guy that they put with like Jimmy Kimmel's sidekick.

[SPEAKER_03]: They are the same year to year, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: They keep bringing back the same pro dancers.

[SPEAKER_01]: My understanding is how you can deep research.

[SPEAKER_01]: My understanding is, yes, they can come back and the 50 random dancers.

[SPEAKER_01]: They have some other type of competition show.

[SPEAKER_01]: called Dancing with the Pros, which is where those random 50 people compete to then become the pros to work with the stars.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I think I understand.

[SPEAKER_03]: And Hollywood, they don't call them extras.

[SPEAKER_03]: They call them background players.

[SPEAKER_03]: So should we dancing with the background players?

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's the thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: They would do like, they would do little stories on the backup dancers.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he'd be like, yeah, he's danced for Michael Jackson and Madonna and this and that.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like,

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care.

[SPEAKER_01]: They did one night of the men dancing and one night of the women dancing.

[SPEAKER_01]: I lasted longer in the women's dance and I wanted to see Julia Stiles and are they put her off?

[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, they did.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's good programming.

[SPEAKER_03]: Do they have theme nights like tonight, everyone's going to dance to, well, the two episodes.

[SPEAKER_01]: What they do.

[SPEAKER_01]: They do because the theme for the first dance was they had to pick a song from their year they were born.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think the Charles was that I guess that was their whole angle was some of the people like him would pick really old songs and then like this kid would come out and choose yeah this song came out in 2010.

[SPEAKER_03]: God, that's so frustrating.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's really, really.

[SPEAKER_03]: The reason that I would be a verse to watching it other than everything you would guess is that this will shock you.

[SPEAKER_03]: I had my huge Tom Burzer on fan and I'll say it on it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I know.

[SPEAKER_03]: The fact that he's gone makes me not want to watch it anymore.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: Tom Bergeron was one of the last bastions of people that could really handle live television.

[SPEAKER_03]: And dance with the stars is still a live show, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes it is.

[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't watch it live, but I forgot there was a huge issue with the first episode of Live.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what happened?

[SPEAKER_01]: They do, I guess the way this show works is you have to vote.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, when all this stuff first started, it was vote by text in this phone number and we'll charge you a dollar or whatever.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's text or used in internet, site and go to the website.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the website was down during the first night of the show.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, not good.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it was so obvious that Carlton and the girl who's some professional dancer who's the other host.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't know her name.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know Carlton's name.

[SPEAKER_03]: I love the fact that I'm calling him Carlton.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was so obvious that the producer is talking in their ear about the status of the website while they're trying to tell people to go vote and they are stumbling through their words and stumbling through the explanation that the website's down to see that.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's the reason you need Tom Bergeron.

[SPEAKER_03]: Tom Bergeron, I mean, I think a lot of people know from Hollywood Square.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's a fine host for that.

[SPEAKER_03]: He used to work with our buddy Gary Stein on, I think, the FX channel as a host, a live morning show.

[SPEAKER_03]: But Tom Bergeron to my eyes was at his best.

[SPEAKER_03]: He used to do the overnights on the Jerry Lewis Telefon because Jerry couldn't do 21 hours anymore.

[SPEAKER_03]: And they wouldn't book the good talent when Jerry wasn't there.

[SPEAKER_03]: So you get eight hours of bourgeois on, string together, really, C plus B minus acts together on line television.

[SPEAKER_03]: And he can do that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's good at that's why he does the like, uh, America's finding his home videos and stuff because that's exactly what all that is.

[SPEAKER_03]: But they yanged him for that and they put Carlton on that, too.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't know why.

[SPEAKER_03]: Why is Tom bourgeois on an employable?

[SPEAKER_01]: It's called in really the most of America's funny some videos now.

[SPEAKER_01]: And what type of does he have the same age?

[SPEAKER_01]: And there's something that they're like, I don't know, we're replacing Tom Berger on with Carlton and all his shows.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think that there is a dorm room or a set of dorms at ABC at the American Broadcasting Company and the ABC employees live in the dorms and they say, well, Carlton will need you to do these two shows.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, but I don't think Burjuron's on television anymore, and I think he's very great, and I would always love because I'd hear it, and I'd see in the progna join us on dancing with the stars.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he made it into something fun, and he also, when something would go badly, I would love to see him deal with the internet issue, because he can handle bad situations.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think they'd have the worst act on the telephone, and they'd finish up in the plaza with

[SPEAKER_03]: And so I went to IMDB, and I punched in one because the golden ticket, and here's one thing that did not surprise me.

[SPEAKER_03]: It listed for the cast, all of the contestants.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the contestants that are by far the most annoying are the only people that had pictures for their IMDB page.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now that is especially in the first season of a reality show, they do go to those

[SPEAKER_03]: It was all I think every review on IMDB and keep in mind the show had only been up for 12 hours.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_03]: Was one star.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: Also, that is what you will always get by the first reviews because it's just like podcasts and the haters like to go to the Internet and complain.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, it might be the worst thing I've ever seen in my life.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's no way, but in the commercials, I could not look away.

[SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't look away.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was the first challenge, I don't think I'm spoiling it for anybody.

[SPEAKER_03]: When I say that five contestants could stuck in giant gumballs.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I'm intrigued and then they have to use their how do they usually say choose wisely use your wits conspire and and you know make your alliances to get the people out of the gumballs and there are some special effects and things that are reminiscent of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie with Jean Wilder

[SPEAKER_03]: that are sort of used in this.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's a couple of things that I thought were pretty impressive.

[SPEAKER_03]: When you see the factory on the grand scale, you're gonna be less impressed with what you saw in the program.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I am gonna give this show a chance.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'm gonna watch it all every episode because it's so bad.

[SPEAKER_01]: I did go click on Google News to pull up the headlines for reviews.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to.

[SPEAKER_03]: But my question is, when you talk about haters coming out for reality shows, are these genuine reviews or are these just haters that are doing this?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like are these people that are associated with real organizations that are giving these bad reviews?

[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, this is IMDB, the Daily Beast, reality blurred.

[SPEAKER_01]: Mama Mia, that's the entire website.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the guardian.

[SPEAKER_01]: So these are variety.

[SPEAKER_01]: These are real.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, these are real websites.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I would say that variety is a little bit better than what was the other one.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you get a bad view in variety, that's that's a good variety is just focus on the AI.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because of our love, but you're saying it is so bad that you will watch the entire thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of those foods that is hard to mess up.

[SPEAKER_03]: Imagine if you will, making like a custard out of eggs and milk and sugar.

[SPEAKER_03]: Sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon.

[SPEAKER_03]: I put about a tablespoon of vanilla and a tablespoon of crown royal, not enough to taste alcoholic just to give it sort of a little depth.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then you mix all that up.

[SPEAKER_03]: Then you cube your bread and put it in a pan.

[SPEAKER_03]: The bread's like in, you know, hot.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like big crew tons, maybe.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then you pour the custard over the bread.

[SPEAKER_03]: the bread absorbs the custard and then you bake it and it becomes almost if you've ever had like not like turkey stuffing but like turkey dressing that's baked outside of the bird.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like that but it's sweet and then you could raise it in it if you like, you know.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's like a pineapple dish like that as well.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's very, very much like that.

[SPEAKER_03]: I know that it's called white trash pineapple dish.

[SPEAKER_03]: I know it, it's very good.

[SPEAKER_03]: But my service, I don't think that's the name of it, but I think it is.

[SPEAKER_03]: The I served it with a warm with some dark chocolate chips, sprinkled on top so that they would soften and just a little whipped cream.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was very, very good and well received.

[SPEAKER_01]: Your white trash pineapple dish is technically called pineapple bread pudding.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: I have bailed on so many seasons of Survivor if I can't connect with a single cast member in the first two episodes.

[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like they made it easier and easier when I wanted to be harder.

[SPEAKER_03]: And also it's hard to keep it fresh because they're doing the same things over and over.

[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know this is a historic fact?

[SPEAKER_03]: that survivor came into it's a CBS joint isn't it?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, the CBS premiered survivor as like a fill-in show.

[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't supposed to be the massive sensation that it was.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was a cheap show to do and it was sort of clever.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was before reality shows where a huge thing and it built so much steam that for a season.

[SPEAKER_03]: It had like an American idle style excitement to it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I remember the excitement from the first season.

[SPEAKER_03]: What we didn't realize is that the finale, the final episode of season one of Survivor was airing the same night, we had a live appearance for the dawn in my show.

[SPEAKER_03]: And nobody was going to come because everyone was going to stale.

[SPEAKER_03]: We did it at the bayou, which is a great, I think it's closed now.

[SPEAKER_03]: Legendary venue in Georgetown and gorgeous.

[SPEAKER_03]: We were the second to last show, I think, that played there.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we actually had a television and at 8.55, we turned it on.

[SPEAKER_03]: So everyone could see the end.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then we continued with all of our x-rated antics.

[SPEAKER_01]: That was the first episode of Survivor I ever saw was the finale.

[SPEAKER_01]: for the same type of thing that I had a, I was touring at the time with a band and some of the people in the band needed to watch this show.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_01]: At that time, could you couldn't watch it later?

[SPEAKER_01]: You haven't watched it live.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I got sucked into watching that finale.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that was my introduction to Survivor.

[SPEAKER_03]: The band you'd be, was it a Harvey Danger, were they promoting the folk, the song, Flagpole, Sita?

[SPEAKER_03]: I love it, and she would have hated this because I walked in and Jersey Mike's was empty, just like, no, no, that is set up for a show.

[SPEAKER_03]: And there was one guy that was like at the Sandwich prep station and another guy that was just walking around.

[SPEAKER_03]: So two employees in me, and the guy that's walking around is humming the song, Copa Cabana by Barry Manolo.

[SPEAKER_03]: I just hear lightly,

[SPEAKER_01]: That's an odd song to walk it into.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's not, it's oddly specific and not.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm guessing it's a younger guy than you, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: I would think, well, everybody's now as a younger guy.

[SPEAKER_03]: But I would say these employees are not yet 20.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I came in and I'm looking and he says, can I help you?

[SPEAKER_03]: and all across the bar across the crowd in floor he worked from eight till four they were young and they had each other who could ask for more at the cup so I cut out some of it in the middle but I think it's a great employee that he can have fun like that and call you out and he was loving it and even the lady at the meat slicer loving it everybody was enjoying that I was singing yeah you can't not like that

[SPEAKER_03]: I said, yeah, Josh wants a 40 foot teddy bear.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so we bring them in and we find out today that my stupid

[SPEAKER_03]: He is either scared of or doesn't understand helium balloons.

[SPEAKER_03]: He will not come into the kitchen because she brings the package in into kitchen as where his food is.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's where the treats are.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's where the water is and he just tears him looks.

[SPEAKER_01]: Next time you have to leave food out to get to room temperature.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like this takes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just get a couple of balloons, some guard balloons.
