004 The Boohole

Some people visit a haunted attraction to be scared. Robb visits one and learns industry terminology—specifically, the “boohole,” the hidden alcove where a scare actor waits to ruin your evening.

In Episode 004, Robb takes Josh inside a Halloween Haunt preview packed with fog machines, monsters, candy apples, suspiciously enthusiastic influencers, and enough booholes to make anyone reconsider throwing a reflexive punch. The guys also imagine retired baseball legend Albert “Boohole,” debate the proper use of a no-scare necklace, and make plans to resurrect the turkey-leg challenge.

Then the conversation escapes the maze. Josh samples Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars, the guys pitch “Dancing with the Founders” for the final TMOS cruise, and Robb discovers a Wonka reality competition so bad he cannot stop watching it. There is also a well-earned Hall of Fame induction for founding listener Jolene White, a full-volume rendition of “Copacabana” performed for free sandwich-shop cookies, and an urgent debate over enormous holiday decorations—including a 40-foot teddy bear and the inseparable Miser Brothers.

It’s monsters, television, free cookies, questionable landscaping, and one unforgettable piece of haunted-house vocabulary. Watch the shadows. Mind the alcoves. There may be a boohole nearby.
