President Mwai Kibaki, in his recent State of the Nation address in Parliament, highlighted key issues that the government has achieved and is set to achieve before the much anticipated 2013 general elections. His speech mainly focused on the reforms progress in the country, especially the progress on the implementation of the Agenda 4 of the National Accord and Reconciliation Act (NARA). While the President made a strong appeal to Kenyans to promote the Nation, and reject secession calls from the Coast province, he mainly spoke about devolution, police reforms, fight against corruption and the International Criminal Court proceedings in Kenya.
