Prince George city council is considering changing the name of Fort George Park to Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park. Councillour Murry Krause says it would be a respectful way to recongize the park's past as a First Nations village. The proposal is getting a lot of attention, but it's not the first park to undergo a name change in Prince George this year. On May 25, Clive Keen of the Prince George Naturalists Club asked the city to change the name of the Hudsons Bay Slough. He wanted the word "slough" to be changed to wetland - and he wanted an apostrophe added to "Hudsons". Here's what that meeting sounded like.
