Denis McCracken - Talking about the construction of Rathfriland's Water Tower in 1976

Visible for miles around, Rathfriland's Water Tower, built in 1976, occupies the summit of the hill on which the town was built. This was the site of the old Magennis Castle of the pre-plantation period.

Denis McCracken was the General Foreman and was responsible for building the iconic tower. Here he recollects his time in Rathfriland to fUSe FM's David Scott.
