Operation Candlelight is a two month campaign to crack down on burglary across Surrey.

More patrols, Christmas cards to known burglars with the warning that ‘they are on Surrey Police’s Christmas list’, and the use of trap houses (which look like normal homes, but are set up with hidden cameras and hi-tech gadgets fitted with tracking devices) are all part of our strategy to relentlessly pursue criminals.

But you can make a huge difference and dramatically reduce the chances of being burgled by taking just a few simple measures.
