At the end of January you may remember the Reduced Shakespeare company's The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) went ahead in Newtownabbey after a reversal by the council who initially had taken the decision to ban the production.

DUP members had branded the play blasphemous and an attack on Christianity, but the decision to ban it caused outrage and made international headlines.

Now the show is returning to Northern Ireland to play the Waterside Theatre in Derry/Londonderry and the Town Hall in Newry. The Reverend David McIlveen is opposed to the play.
