Alan Turing - a choral work

It is a heroic and also tragic story. Alan Turing was the mathematician who worked with a team at Bletchley Park to crack crucial German codes during #WW2. But after the war, Turing was prosecuted and found guilty of performing #homosexual acts - he committed suicide a short time later. Last year, Alan Turing was given a posthumous pardon, and his story has now been turned into a choral work, "Codebreaker". The piece had its premier at London's Barbican Centre in April. Here, the composer and musical director explain why they created it.
